REVIEW:  THE GEMINI PROJECT by Ian Moran is an adult, sci-fi, dystopian thriller focusing on seventeen year old Jan Ericson as he approaches his ‘renaissance’ from the Corpo Academy.

Told from omniscient third person perspective (Jan) and first person retrospective (Dr. William Osler) THE GEMINI PROJECT, set approximately one-hundred or so years into the future, follows seventeen year old Jan Ericson, as he prepares for his renaissance on his eighteenth birthday. The Corpo Academy is an all boys school focusing on sports and athletics; there are no books or teachers; and most of the people in charge are medical physicians or research specialists but our young hero Jan Ericson has become curious as to his existence; the course and purpose of his life; and what comes next after entering his ‘renaissance’. As Jan begins an exploration of the tunnels under the Corpo Academy, searching for the truth, he will discover that his life will be forfeited for the good of someone else.

THE GEMINI PROJECT is an intriguing, interesting and thought-provoking sci-fi, dystopian thriller focusing on the aftermath of a third world war, an environmental apocalypse, and the struggle for immortality and never ending youth. A what-if scenario of impossibilities set against a theme of probabilities as those deemed unworthy are no longer viable for life ever lasting.

For those who like seeing beyond the written word, there are many Easter eggs, and fun quips from the famous and infamous spread throughout the story.
