REVIEW:HIDDEN BY THE DOCTOR is the fourth instalment in Kennedy L Mitchell’s contemporary, adult, IN CLEAR SIGHT erotic, romantic suspense series focusing on Grandger Texas, and a small community of people living in the WITSEC program. This is former MC member Miller, and doctor Caradee Blacksmith’s story line.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise including violence, murder and strong language, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Miller and Caradee) HIDDEN BY THE DOCTOR follows Miller in the aftermath of a massacre between rival MCs. On the order of his MC president aka his father, Miller found himself at a crossroads when he discovered he was being tested and his assignment was to kill every man, woman and child but upon his arrival, everyone was already dead, and the only survivor was an infant child, a child Miller knew he had to save. In the WITSEC program for turning evidence against his former MC and his father, Miller and baby Carlie were now in Grandger Texas, where Miller would come face to face with Dr. Caradee Blacksmith, the woman with whom Miller would fall in love. As Miller and Carlie navigated the ins and outs of their new relationship, Miller knew it was only a matter of time before his past discovered his whereabouts, threatening the woman with whom he was falling in love. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Miller and Caradee, and the potential fall-out as the Blazing Skulls MC sets their sights on our story line couple.

The relationship between Miller and Caradee is one of immediate attraction but neither one is in any position to start something new. Caradee continues to struggle with a lifetime of betrayal, and Miller needs to protect the small child he has claimed as his own but time spent together felt like the family both had been missing, a family that was about to be destroyed in an act of betrayal and vengeance. The $ex scene are intimate, erotic and aggressive but I dislike the liberal use of a certain four-letter word throughout the story.

The secondary and supporting characters include several members of the Blazing Skulls MC-the prez, Stetson and Beast). We are reintroduced to Max and Rachel (Guarded by the Officer 1), Grayson and Anne (Cherished by the Agent 2), Shade, Trap and Georgia (Saved by the Officers 3)l Caradee’s mother, baby Carlie, and Caradee’s ex fiancé Kurt.

HIDDEN BY THE DOCTOR is a story of power and control, murder and madness, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is gripping and riveting; the characters are determined and energetic; the romance is seductive and provocative.

My only complaint is the whereabouts and condition of two secondary characters including Stetson and Miller’s sister Megan.

This is Texas police officers and best friends, thirty-six year old Shade, Trapper Cain, and code writer Georgia Day Graves’ MFM, reverse harem story line. SAVED BY THE OFFICERS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Struggling to keep her sanity in the face of what happened and how, Georgia quickly discovers that even with the protection of Shade and Trap, the bad guys have a way of getting through. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Shade, Trap and Georgia, and the potential fall-out as Georgia’s husband’s partners take aim at our story line heroine.

Georgia Graves has no idea as to her husband’s dark, fraudulent, and illegal schemes but revealing everything she knew to the FBI placed our heroine in the direct line of fire. As the CIO, founder and owner of Day Inc, Georgia found herself suspect in her husband’s dealings, dealings of which the FBI had already known. Meeting Shade and Trap gave Georgia the peace of mind she had always wanted but Shade and Trap wanted something more than friendship from their beautiful neighbor.

The relationship between Shade, Trap and Georgia is one of immediate attraction but Georgia didn’t want to come between friends, and suspected the men were in a relationship together. Shade and Trap have loved and lost, three years since the death of the woman they once shared but with the arrival of Georgia, Shade and Trap saw a second chance at love and their own happily ever after. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense but I dislike the use of a certain four-letter word used liberally throughout the story.

The secondary and supporting characters include Georgia’s troubled daughter Gracie, and FBI Agent Carleigh; Max and Rachel (Guarded by the Officer 1), Grayson and Anne (Cherished by the Agent 2),and Caradee The requisite evil has many faces.

SAVED BY THE OFFICERS is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, love and acceptance, friendship and family. The premise is fascinating and intriguing; the romance is passionate and seductive; the characters are broken, energetic, and compelling

Told from dual first person perspectives (Max and Rachel) GUARDED BY THE MARSHAL follows in the wake of the take down of a local cult. Rachel Smith is a victim of a man who had her kidnapped and groomed to be one of his wives but the take down of the ‘church’ and the ensuing law enforcement involvement found Rachel as one of the witnesses against ‘The Church’ and its’ leaders, a position that was about to force our heroine into the witness protection program. Enter US Marshal Max Williams, and the man with whom Rachel will fall in love. As Max struggles to keep one step ahead of the leaders of ‘The Church’ Rachel finds herself falling for a man who knows their time together is coming to a close.

Rachel Smith never knew betrayal like the betrayal of a friend who drugged and abducted our story line heroine but forced to enter into a relationship with a man she didn’t love all but broke our heroine’s mind. Willing to risk her life to send the leaders to prison, Rachel agrees to testify never realizing the extent to which ‘The Church’ was willing to get her back. Max Williams lost everything the day he discovered his wife with someone else. Struggling with his day to day life, Max never expected to find love with a woman whose own life was spiralling out of control.

The relationship between Max and Rachel begins under a professional arrangement but when the WITSEC program isn’t ready for our story line heroine, Max agrees to become guardian and protector, a position that places Max in the direct line of fire. The Church refuses to let go of our story line heroine, and Max refuses to leave Rachel to work on her own. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.

We are introduced to Max’s fellow Marshal’s Shade and Trapper, as well as several members of law enforcement. The requisite evil has many faces.

GUARDED BY THE MARSHAL is a story of power and control, obsession and madness, acceptance and love. The premise is intriguing, captivating and engaging; the romance is seductive and provocative; the characters are energetic, charismatic, struggling but moving forward.
