Description:
Natalie Parker is in her mid-thirties, divorced, and firmly focused on her newly resurrected career and her two children. When her sister asks her to help design the backyard in the new home she shares with her boyfriend, Linc, Natalie’s more than happy to take on the project. What she isn’t prepared for is Linc’s younger brother, video game designer Eugene Kennedy. He’s smart, incredibly good-looking, and constantly flirts with Natalie. He’s also too young for her, which makes him totally off-limits.

Eugene is intrigued by Natalie’s beauty, smarts, and especially her sarcastic wit. When he teases her, she throws it right back at him. Besides that, they have an instant chemistry, but she keeps trying to get rid of him despite the sparks that fly between them. And Eugene never backs down from a challenge.

Natalie is running out of reasons to think being with Eugene is a bad thing. Her kids adore him, her sister loves him, and even her always negative mother does, too. The only person holding her back is…her. Maybe it’s time she take that leap and design herself a love for the ages. After all, if she can create the perfect home, she sure as hell can design a happily ever after.

Review:

Designs on You by Jaci Burton is a sweet romantic novel. We meet Natalie Parker, who is divorced, with two young children, (7year old Cammie and 4year old Christopher); her and her ex-husband share custody of the children. Natalie has a job doing interior design, as she works with another woman and loves her job. Her sister asks her to help design her new home, where she lives with Linc: as well as a number of sheltering dogs.

At dinner in her sister’s Hazel house, she meets Linc’s younger brother Eugene, who is a few years younger than Natalie. At first Natalie wants nothing to do with Eugene, as she feels he is too young for her; but Eugene finally persuades her to agree to a date.  Natalie finds herself fighting off her attraction to Eugene, as he is determined to win her over, especially with the sparks between them, giving in to their instant chemistry. Natalie worries about the age difference between them, and Eugene, not caring about the short difference age, finds himself falling deeply in love with Natalie.

Eugene has Linc fixing up his new house, and he convinces Natalie to do the interior design. She agrees and they slowly add all new furniture and designs, making both very happy, as their feelings start getting serious.

I really like the romance between Natlie and Eugene, despite worry about their age difference.  Eugene was great with Natalie’s kids, and was always there for her when needed.  The kids were great, and I loved their new adopted dog, Grizelda.  Their romance escalated, especially when her ex-husband had the kids for the weekend, and they would spend time together, with the heat between them sizzling.  I also like the relationship between Hazel and Linc, as they were living together, and the four of them spent lots of time together.

Natalie was determined to break things up with Eugene, since she thought he was better off finding someone closer to his age; but she finds it difficult, as she knows she loves him.  Eugene is loved by his brother, by Natalie’s children, as well as Hazel and their mother.  Natalie realizes that she is running out of reasons to leave, as she is the only person holding her back.

Designs on You is a sweet heartwarming romance, with a terrific couple that are destined to be together. Designs on You is so very well written by Jaci Burton.  I really enjoyed this book. I suggest you read Designs on You.

Description:
Bellini Weddings has agreed to allow a production company to film a movie at Red Moss Vineyards. It will be great PR for both the vineyard and the wine and wedding businesses. Mae Wallace, who works for the Bellini family, is thrilled with the possibility of new business. What she isn’t thrilled with is actor Kane August, who she finds crashing one of the weddings. He tells her it’s research for the movie, but she finds him overconfident and annoying.

Kane August is rarely surprised by anything—until he meets Mae Wallace. She’s sharp, just a bit on the snarky side, and the most refreshing woman he’s had the pleasure of meeting. She constantly challenges him, and he can’t remember having this much fun on a movie set. He takes every opportunity to spend time with her, peeling back layers until he gets to the heart of who this amazing person really is. And, unexpectedly, he realizes that he’s letting her in, too, something he hasn’t done with anyone before. However, they live very different lives and he’ll need to be careful around Mae, because she’s someone he could see a future with. But can she see the same thing?

When Kane takes her to his family’s ranch in Texas, Mae discovers a whole new side to him, learning about the heart and soul of a kind and gentle man. And as they grow closer, her guard goes up. Once burned, she has no intention of falling in love ever again, despite this very hot and sexy guy who’s trying his best to turn her world upside down and work his way through the steely wall she’s built. Kane is determined to show her he’s the one man she can trust with her heart. If only Mae will allow herself to fall.

Review:

The Backup Bride Proposal by Jaci Burton is the 4th book in her wonderful Boots and Bouquets series. The story revolves around the Bellini family’s Red Moss Vineyards; which include their winery and their wedding planning business. The Bellini family has agreed to allow the production of a movie to film at the Vineyards; as they anticipate publicity for the vineyard, winery and wedding business

Mae Wallace, our heroine, is very close to the three sisters; with Erin, handling all of the business, Brenna and her father ran Red Moss Vineyards; and Honor was the wedding coordinator, assisted by Mae. She loved everything about the wedding planning business; which is always successful.  Now that a movie production company is coming shortly, everyone thinks that Mae should be their official liaison to deal with the company. Mae enjoys her job, and now adding her to be in the front of the project, makes her feel like more of a key player.  Though Mae loves the weddings, her view of marriage has made her not planning on ever getting married, as her ex-fiancé was a serial cheater.

During the wedding event, Mae who watches over everything, sees someone who doesn’t really belong and finds him to be a crasher.  When she approaches him, he says he is here for research for the movie, and she forces him to leave. She discovers the following day, that Kane August, was indeed the crasher, and he is determined to charm her as he is enamored by her.  Kane’s costar is delayed and Mae is roped into the production as a stand-in, since her back is similar to the actress.

Slowly, Mae finds herself having fun with Kane, as she realizes that she was wrong about her first meeting with him, since he was charming, gentle and fun to be with. Kane is determined to win her over, as he too begins to enjoy Mae’s company, wanting to spend as much time with her. In a short time, both Mae and Kane’s chemistry explodes, and they both have strong feelings for each other.  Can Mae allow herself to trust and open her heart again?

What follows is a sweet wonderful romance, with a terrific couple, the fantastic Bellini family, who were such a great family.  I loved the friendship between the three sisters and Mae. I also loved how close Kane was to all the married men in the family. The Backup Bride Proposal was an enjoyable and entertaining story, especially seeing everyone. Jaci Burton has created a wonderful group of characters that are so much fun and enjoyable; with wonderful couples and family.  The Backup Bride Proposal is a wonderful romance that was fun, entertaining and sexy.  It was so very well written by Jaci Burton. Review:

Housebroke by Jaci Burton is a wonderful romantic comedy standalone novel. We meet Hazel Bristow, our heroine, who is living in a house that is currently for sale, with her 5 foster pups.  Hazel is still devastated that her ex-husband took all her money, leaving her totally broke and homeless. Hazel loves her foster dogs, who are all unique and lovable; this is her dream to save money and be able to foster dogs.  One night, she hears someone come into the house, thinking it was a burglar.

Linc Kennedy is surprised when a woman steps forward to attack him, especially since he bought the house that he will renovate.  Obviously, Hazel’s friend forgot to tell her the place was sold.  Linc at first tells her she has to leave, but realizing that she is homeless with the dogs, he negotiates and offers for her to stay at the Guest House for free, and he will pay her a small salary to cook meals for him. She made dinner that night, and Linc was thrilled with her cooking abilities.

I loved how wonderful Hazel was with the fostered dogs, as she loved each and everyone of them.  They each had their own personalities, and were so much fun.  Linc automatically enjoyed the company of the dogs, sharing the fun with Hazel. The element of the dogs and their individual characters, made this such and enjoyable and fabulous read.

In a short time, Linc and Hazel begin to become very attracted to each other, with the chemistry between them being steamy. I really loved them together and rooted for them to find their true love. Beside seeing Hazel and Linc falling for each other, I loved all the scenes with the dogs, which were so heartwarming.  Each of the dogs had their own personalities, and loved how different they were; Hazel was so devoted to each of them (Gordon, Penny, Lilith, Freddie, Mitzi and even Boo, who ended up being adopted).

Housebroke was a fun, cute, steamy romantic story, with fantastic adorable dogs; as well as a fabulous couple. Housebroke was very well written by Jaci Burton.  If you enjoy a light, sweet sexy romance, with fun fantastic dogs, you should read Housebroke.

They’re both glad to see a familiar face from home…until a night of drinking leads to waking up in bed together–and a marriage certificate from a wedding that neither of them can recall.

Horrified, Owen suggests an immediate annulment. Honor agrees, but when they spend the day together, their chemistry is overwhelming. Plus, Honor has a flash of memory of their steamy wedding night, and she definitely likes what she remembers. They decide to wait before cancelling the whole marriage thing, though they both head back to Oklahoma determined not to tell anyone at home what happened in Vegas.

The problem is, Honor and Owen can’t seem to stay away from each other–or keep their hands off one another. The longer they keep their secret, the harder it gets to deny how they really feel. Even worse, this huge secret has the potential to hurt someone they both care about. They need to get an annulment before this accidental marriage turns into love.

Review:

The Accidental Newlywed Game by Jaci Burton is the 3rd book in her wonderful Boots and Bouguets series.  The story revolves around the Bellini family’s winery, the three sisters (Erin, Brenna, Honor), who also run a wedding planning business.

Honor Bellini, our heroine, is the wedding planner for the family, with her attending a convention in Vegas.  She encounters her sister Erin’s ex fiancée, Owen, who is also in Vegas for his craft brewery business.  Since the family has forgiven Owen (he walked away a few days before the wedding), after learning why he left (cancer, chemo, et). Honor was happy to see Owen, a familiar face and together they spent the evening drinking at the bar; until they wake up in a hotel room together, with no recollection of what happened. Then they discover a wedding certificate showing they are married. At first, they decide to get an annulment, but Honor convinces Owen that they need to wait, since they have no idea if they had sex, and if she could be pregnant; so, they agree to go back home, and not tell anyone.

Both Honor and Owen began to spent a lot of time together, and the chemistry between them escalated, as they can’t seem to keep their hands off one another. Honor had a hard time keeping the secret from her family, especially as her relationship with Owen continued to bring them even closer.  Will they get the annulment/divorce or stay together?  How will Erin handle their relationship when she finds out?

What follows is a slow build romance, with a couple that was unexpected, especially with Owen. What I loved about this series is all three sisters, the wonderful Bellini family, wedding/winery business; and the great group of friends we have met throughout the series.  I rooted for Owen and Honor, as they really made a cute couple; and loved the dog, Bette.  I also liked Mae, and loved seeing all of the family again.

The Accidental Newlywed Game was an enjoyable story, especially seeing everyone. Jaci Burton has created a wonderful group of characters that are so much fun and enjoyable; with wonderful couples and family.  The Accidental Newlywed Game is a wonderful romance that was fun, entertaining and sexy.  If you enjoy wonderful romances, then look no further than Jaci Burton.

The Engagement Arrangement by Jaci Burton – a Review

The Engagement Arrangement by Jaci Burton – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / Google Play / Apple / BAM / Book Depository

Description:
Brenna Bellini will never get married again. She plans to live out her days as a happy, successful, single woman. When she’s chosen to be a bridesmaid in her friend’s wedding at the Bellini family vineyard, she’s thrilled. That is, until she realizes who else is in the wedding party. Brenna’s going to have to spend four days in the company of not only her ex-husband, but also her high school nemesis. She just knows the fact that she’s single and alone is going to be rubbed in her face all weekend long. Well, not if Brenna can help it. She’s going to find herself a fake fiancé.

Finn Nolan is thrilled to be offered the job. He’s had it bad for Brenna ever since he came over from Ireland to work at the Bellini family vineyard. After falling for Brenna from afar for years, this Irish cowboy is determined to show the woman of his dreams that he is her Mr. Right.

So what does a confirmed never-getting-married-again woman do when the man of her dreams unexpectedly lands right in front of her? Because for the first time, she might not be able to walk away. This time it might be forever.

Review:

The Engagement Arrangement by Jaci Burton is the 2nd book in her Boots and Bouquets series. Brenna Bellini, our heroine, loves making wine for her family’s winery, and working with her sisters on the family’s wedding planning business.  When one of the weddings is a friend, she is asked to be a bridesmaid using the Bellini vineyard; she is thrilled to be part of it until she learns her ex-husband and former friend (now married her ex) are also attending.  Brenna knows she will have to spend time with them, especially her ex-friend Allison would be giving her snide remarks the whole time; she decides to devise a plan.

Finn Nolan, moved from Ireland years ago (after the loss of his parents), and is considered a member of the Bellini family.  Brenna approaches him to help her at the upcoming wedding of her friend; she wants him to be her fake fiancée. Finn has secretly been in love with Brenna for a long time, and has watched from afar her bad marriage, and dating others.  He accepts to become her fake fiancée for the 4-day event, knowing he plans to pull out all the stops to get her attention.

What follows is a wonderful fun story that has us rooting for Finn to show Brenna that he is the one perfect for her.  They made such a cute couple, and I adored them both together.  Brenna though despite her beginning to have feelings for Finn, has issues from her disaster divorce, that holds her back from ever marrying again.  Finn needs to escalate things to win Brenna over.  The chemistry between them was sizzling, and both will act on their lust for each other, but can Brenna allow herself to get past the fake fiancée Finn to the man who has stolen her heart?  Will she be able to get past her fears of being hurt again and walk away?

What I loved about this series is the three sisters, and the whole Bellini family and winery business.  Jaci Burton has created a wonderful group of characters that are so much fun and enjoyable; such a wonderful couple and family.  The Engagement Arrangement is a wonderful pure romance that was fun, entertaining, witty banter, and sexy.  If you enjoy wonderful romances, then look no further than Jaci Burton.

Description:
When firefighter Kal Donovan transfers to the Tactical Rescue Team, he’s determined to succeed by giving work one hundred percent of his attention. This proves more difficult at his ten-year high school reunion when he runs into Hannah Clark, his first love. She’s still the smart, funny, beautiful girl he loved in high school, but everything has changed. She’s divorced, has a son, and has zero interest in exploring an old romance.

Hannah has moved back home after a disastrous end to a marriage that never should have been. Now her only focus is getting her hair salon up and running, and making sure her son is happy. She doesn’t have time for love–especially not with Kal. She intends to look forward, not backward, and Kal is most definitely part of her past.

However as Hannah and Kal start spending time together, Hannah realizes that what she’s feeling for him isn’t nostalgia, but red-hot attraction. Kal’s intent on showing her what it’s like to be cared for, romanced, and consumed with passion–and Hannah loves it. But she wonders if she has the courage to risk her heart again, even as Kal vows not to lose her a second time.

Review:

All Consuming by Jaci Burton is the 3rd book in her Brotherhood by Fire series.  Kal Donovan, our hero, is the third & youngest brother in this series. All three Donovan brothers are very close and are fireman; but Kal transferred to the Tactical Rescue Team, determined to win his teammates trust with his abilities.   Kal decides to attend his 10-year high school reunion, and to his surprise, he runs into his high school girlfriend, whom he left behind years ago.

Hannah Clark, has returned home after a divorce, with a young son (Oliver) and living with her mom. Hannah meets up with her friends at the High School reunion and is shocked when she sees Kal, the boy she loved years ago. Hannah is not interested in rekindling their old romance, as she is focused on taking care of Oliver.

Best laid plans usually do not work out, as Kal and Hannah start spending time together, rehashing old memories, with both just being friends.   Kal loves being with Hannah and Oliver, and despite their determination to being friends, the chemistry between is red hot, and soon they will act on their feelings, being friends with benefits. Hannah has sworn that she will not allow herself to have her heart broken again, even if Kal decides he wants something more permanent.

In between this romance, it was great to see the many exciting technical rescues that were real or just training. I also loved the relationship with Kal and his family, and how nice Hannah & Oliver fit in. It was great to see both brothers, and their wife/fiancée. Hannah was a wonderful heroine, and you could not help care about her and her son.  She allowed herself to fall in love again with Kal, but she was set in her promise that she will not go further.

All Consuming was a sweet second chance steamy romance that was very well written by Jaci Burton.  I loved Kal and Hannah, as they made such a great couple, not to mention Oliver, who was great.  We did begin to worry, as we rooted hard for their relationship to move to a permanent one. Jaci Burton always writes wonderful romances, and All Consuming was another fabulous story that you should read.

The Best Man Plan by Jaci Burton – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / Google Play / Apple / BAM / Book Depository

Description:
Three days before Erin Bellini’s wedding, her fiancé breaks up with her–in an email! Hurt and embarrassed, she decides to have a fling with veterinarian Jason Callum, who’s both the best man and the hottest guy she knows. But Jason wants a lot more than just a one-night stand with the woman he’s cared about for years. So he’s taking things slow. And hot. And showing Erin what real love can look like.

Suddenly Erin finds herself spending a lot more time with Jason than she intended. Feelings she never planned on having again are wrapping around her heart, refusing to let go. Erin isn’t sure she can trust her instincts, though. After all, she made a terrible choice with her ex-fiancé. But Jason intends to convince her that he’s the best man for her, and that what they have together is a real love that will last forever.

Review:

The Best Man Plan by Jaci Burton is the first book in her new Boots and Bouquets series.  Erin Bellini, our heroine, is devastated when her fiancé breaks up with her three days before the wedding.   Erin’s family runs a vineyard, and they also handle weddings, as the girls (sisters) are wedding planners. Erin is determined to still have a party, since their venue is now available, and she puts on a strong face.  Erin decides she wants revenge sex, and looks at her best friend, Jason.

Jason Callum, our hero, has always loved Erin, but was willing to step aside to allow his friend Owen to woo and win Erin’s heart.  Now with him gone with the wind, no one can understand why Owen left Erin holding the bag without talking to her, having sent an email. Jason has always been there for Erin, and now with her falling all over him, he doesn’t know how to handle her advances, assuming she is acting on the rebound.

Erin has an amazing family, great group of friends, including Jason, and they all are there to help support her.  I also loved both Jason and Erin’s puppies, who were so cute.  This is a friend to lovers’ story, and Erin has no idea that Jason has always loved her.  She is determined to have friends with benefits with Jason, as she finds him very sexy; but of course, no plans to become a relationship.  Jason himself is trying his best to avoid Erin’s advances, as he feels she is acting irrationally.  Best laid plans.  Lol

I will say that Erin and Jason were fantastic together, as they made a super couple, with sizzling chemistry.  Erin begins to realize that what she had with Owen wasn’t love, and Jason is the man for her.  Will she step out of denial and own up to her growing feelings for Jason?

The Best Man Plan was a fun, sweet, enjoyable story.  Besides Jason and Erin, I loved all the other wonderful characters, whom I expect to find more stories in the future books of this series.  I also loved the vineyard and wedding planning background.  Once again Jaci Burton gives us another wonderful romance, and a series I will need to keep reading.  I wholly recommend that you read this book.

And maybe a little fun isn’t a bad thing, as long as she keeps her heart away from this fiery game she’s enjoying with a very hot man.

Love. It doesn’t take Rafe long to realize that until now he’s only been playing at romance. With Carmen he feels searing passion and heart-tugging emotion for the first time. Now he has to convince Carmen that what they have together is the real deal.

Review:

Ignite on Contact by Jaci Burton is the 2nd book in her Brotherhood by Fire series.  We meet our heroine, Carmen Lewis, as she is working hard as the lead ER nurse.  Carmen works long hours, is respected by her co-workers and is very dedicated to her job; she also has the responsibility of taking care of her grandfather.  Most of the local police & fireman all know and like Carmen, as she has met many of them when helping those who they bring to the emergency room.

Rafe Donovan, our hero, is a firefighter, whom we met in the first book and is part of the three ‘brothers’ who grew up together and helped each other survive their early years. Rafe, who lives next door to Carmen and her grandfather, always helps them whenever he can.  Rafe enjoys dating women, but has no intention of ever having a relationship, he loves his life as it is.

Carmen thinks Rafe is a great guy, always kind, fun and charming, but she is not interested in dating, as she had a bad experience in divorcing her ex.  Carmen feels she works long hours, and always has to watch over her grandfather, which allows no time to date, despite her friends trying to convince her to have fun.   Rafe himself finds Carmen attractive, but knows she is distant.  He will approach her about going out to dinner, and in a short time, they will enter a friend with benefits relationship.

Carmen was a great heroine, and you couldn’t help but like her.  She allowed herself to open up to Rafe, and begin to enjoy their time together as a couple.  Rafe was the perfect guy for her, as he was not only sexy, but also very caring and always willing to help her and her grandfather.  Just when you think that things are going smoothly, and both falling in love with each other, it is Carmen’s past experiences and her worry over her grandfather’s health that will threaten their relationship.  Can Rafe find a way to get Carmen away from the memories of her last ruined relationship?

Ignite on Contact was a sweet romance that was very well written by Jaci Burton.  I loved Carmen and Rafe together, as they made such a great couple, and their chemistry was sizzling.  We did begin to worry, as we rooted hard for their relationship to move to a permanent one. Jaci Burton always writes wonderful romances, and Ignite on Contact was another fabulous story that you should read.
