Told from dual first person perspectives (Callie and Mancuso) MANCUSO follows in the wake of the attack and shooting of our story line hero. Callie Murdoch’s day was already spiraling out of control when she finds a man bleeding in the middle of the road. With orders to drive to the Cammareri crime family compound, Callie will discover her ‘passenger’ is none other than the youngest Cammareri, Mancuso, and the man with whom Callie will fall in love. The world building is fast and furious. Callie’s life is about to change for the better but life with the Cammareri places Callie in the direct line of fire. Mancuso is determined to claim Callie as his own but a war is approaching, and in an effort to protect the woman he loves, Mancuso is about to change the direction of their lives.

The relationship between Mancuso and Callie is quick to develop. From rescue to recovery, to acceptance and love. Mancuso and Callie’s relationship goes from zero to sixty within a matter of day, but Callie is determined to keep their affair on the down low. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.

The secondary and supporting characters include Mancuso’s brothers Alceu and Guilia, and Severu. We are introduced to Callie’s ex Kevin; and soon to be ex-boss Mitch.

MANCUSO is a fast paced story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, acceptance and love. The premise is interesting and entertaining but ends rather abruptly-there is much more story to tell. The romance is limited but impassioned; the characters are determined and desperate.

REVIEW: OMEGA FOR SALE is the first instalment in Jade Marshall’s contemporary, adult THE SANCTUARY erotic, paranormal, romance novella series. This is Alpha Aiden Black, and Omega Bella’s story.

Told from dual first person (Aiden and Bella) OMEGA FOR SALE follows Bella as she enters herself into the Omega auctions. Bella is an Omega wolf, desperate for money in the wake of her mother’s illness, but Bella is much more than an Omega, and the Alpha’s are willing to pay for a chance at our story line heroine. Enter Alpha Aiden Black. Upon his winning bid, Aiden, against the rules, is determined to make Bella his own, a determination that could see both of them imprisoned or worse. What ensues is the rapidly building relationship and proclamation of love between our story line couple as Bella and Aiden must come to terms with their new life going forward.

The world and characters building are limited. We know very little about the history of Bella or Aiden, and in this there is some information missing. Aiden is a millionaire-owner of the Sanctuary where Omegas are auctioned off to the highest bidder; all Omegas are supposedly voluntarily offering themselves for twelve hours.

The relationship between Aiden and Bella begins when Aiden is the winning bid for a night with our story line heroine. Bella is naive, young and completely out of her element; Aiden is determined to take all, including the heart of the woman with whom he is falling in love. The $ex scenes are aggressive and energetic.

We are introduced to Aiden’s brother Zion; physician Owen, and Bella’s ailing mother Deliah.

OMEGA FOR SALE is a fast paced, quick read. The premise is dramatic and engaging; the is little to no romance-the Alpha is in charge, the Omega must obey; the characters are desperate and feel incomplete-a few more lines or paragraphs could have easily added some background and history but such is the beast that is often a novella.

REVIEW: CAPTIVE CONSORT is the first novella in the contemporary, adult THANATOS COVEN erotic, paranormal romance series co-authored by Jade Marshall and Rose Wulf. This is vampire Kyson, and human Scarlet’s story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Kyson and Scarlet) CAPTIVE CONSORT follows in the wake of the abduction of our story line heroine. Scarlet never had the best life back home but never expected to be sold to a man whose secrets threaten the reality of her world. Kyson is a one-hundred and eighty year old vampire who has finally found his fated mate, a human woman whose premonitions have brought our couple together but the vampire has a powerful enemy, a facet of the human population known as jagters, and the jagters have taken aim at the Thanatos Coven. What ensues is the rapidly building relationship between Scarlet and Kyson, as Scarlet’s welcome to the Coven is mired by the attack against the people she will some day call friends.

The world building introduces the some of the players in a war between human and vampires, as well as the introduction of several characters including Coven leader Aziel, Luther and his mate Lily, and several new arrivals to strengthen the Thanatos Coven.

The relationship between Kyson and Scarlet begins as an abduction but Scarlet and Kyson have been dream walking together for what seems like forever. Kyson knows Scarlet is his fated mate but Scarlet has no idea about the existence of vampires. The $ex scenes are limited but erotic and passionate.

CAPTIVE CONSORT is a fast paced story of secrets, power, acceptance and love. The premise is entertaining and engaging; the romance is fated and provocative but I dislike the use of a certain four-letter word, although only used once but more for shock value than anything else. The characters are charismatic and powerful.
