Jace would sacrifice himself to save Haven and the women under his care, but his efforts might not be enough. And in the end, it might not be the women most in need of saving after all.

 

 

Review:

Aspen Crossroads by Janine Rosche is the first book in her new Whisper Canyon Romance series.  Haven Haviland has lived in Whisper Canyon with her family all her life, and until recently she had a counseling practice for town residents who needed help.  Haven made a mistake allowing herself to have a one-night affair with a client, who lied to her, and the town turned on her.  She learns of the renovating of Aspen Crossroads into a family restaurant, and meets the new owner.

Jace Daring, lived in Whisper Canyon, when he was a child, and returns to fix up Aspen Crossroads.  Jace works for a company that gives women a second chance at life, after being rescued from human trafficking.  The mayor (who is bad, and also the one who lied to Haven) is determined to stop the renovating of the new restaurant, telling the townspeople, they are prostitutes, and will hurt the town image.

Jace meets Haven and when he finds out she ran a counseling practice, he hires her to work for Aspen Crossroads, to offer help for the ladies who have suffered from their past.   Haven has a hard time getting the women to open up to her, but slowly she will earn their respect, but it will take a while to get past their resentments.  I did like the ladies who were rescued from the human trafficking, such as Sonny, Rosalie and Jillian (who was the most difficult), and Haven’s Rarity was great (look forward to her story soon).  In a short time, Jace and Haven begin to have feelings for each other, with them also having to deal with the nasty rumors that the town gossips, not to mention the evil Mayor.

What follows are some heart-wrenching stories, for the ladies, as well as for Haven, whose family was not respected, due to her mother’s past.  But I loved Haven’s sisters and brother, and can’t wait for their future stories.   Whisper Canyon is split down the middle, with many townsfolk listening to the mayor, not looking at the true sensitive issues; then there are the Haviland family, their friends, and the church who know the difference between right and wrong. Jace, Haven, the ladies, and the rest of the good guys turn the table to stop the mayor and bring a peaceful solution.  Janine Rosche wrote a heartwarming and tense story, that was very well written. I suggest you read Aspen Crossroads.

Review:

Glory Falls by Janine Rosche is the 3rd book in her Madison River Romance series.  The story begins in the past, when young Cecilia (Blue) Walker played make believe movies with her friend, Thomas Beck, and his sister Cassie.  Blue and Thomas were inseparable, as Blue loved creating fake screen plays.  She also had her wealthy parents allow her to bring both Thomas and Cassie to dinners, since the Beck household was constant arguing between their parents. Thomas always had a crush on Blue, though she looked at him like a friend, and would leave Madison River annually for the winter with her parents.

Years later, Blue, a successful screenwriter, returns to Madison River, to see all her old friends, and try and restore her faith and career.  Blue is coming off a divorce from her actor husband, as their marriage fell apart at the accidental death of their little girl, not to mention his philandering. 

Thomas was now a fire fighter for Madison River, and his reputation was legendary, as he always risked his life to save others.  Madison River residents look at Thomas like a hero, despite his boss threatening to fire him, if he continues to disobey and take dangerous chances.  Thomas can’t help himself, and continues to put his life at risk.

When Blue revisits her friends, she learns about Thomas heroics, and also later learns he considers himself one reason for her daughter’s death, even though there was no way to save her.  Blue is approached by a producer friend from town to write a screen play about their legendary hero, especially with many people all willing to tell their stories of Thomas helping them.  Blue convinces Thomas to work together, despite his unhappiness to out there for everyone to see.

What follows is a slow built romance, between a couple that was destined to be together, and a wonderful cast of characters that were part of their Madison River family and friends.  Blue’s ex is trying to get her back, and goes out of his way to make Thomas look bad, causing the screen play to be paused, and Blue wondering if those rumors of Thomas responsible for her daughter’s death.  There are a few secrets that come to light, and with the help of those wonderful friends, the truth will be revealed.  I did like Blue and Thomas together, and hated her ex.   Glory Falls was a wonderful heartwarming story line that pulled on many different emotions; love, tragedy, manipulation, friendships/family and happiness. Glory Falls was well written by Janine Rosche.  I suggest you read this book.

Review:

Wildflower Road by Janine Rosche is the 2nd book in her Madison River Romance series. Ryann Ashcroft, our heroine, helps run the family’s resort, and despite its financial struggle, she is determined to save it.  She hires a new cook, and hopes this will bring back customers. 

Shane Olson, our hero and a former pastor, moves to Yellowstone, Montana, to become the cook, escaping his past, which included a jail term.  Shane plans to work hard, and keep his distance, but when he meets the fun bubbly Ryann, he finds it hard not to like her.  In a short time, Ryann will convince Shane to meet her wonderful friends and become part of the town.  Shane will also meet Stuart, who is Ryann’s brother in law, and someone who wants Ryann for himself (her husband and his brother committed suicide years before).  Stuart comes from a wealthy family, and uses his family power across the town to make sure Ryann doesn’t look at any other man; he wants her for himself at any cost.  Ryann still has nightmares on the tragic death of her husband, and feels responsible mainly because of Stuart’s attempts to kiss her.  Because of the constant threats to her family and friends, Ryann tries to be nice to Stuart, who is always drunk, acting only as a friend. 

In a short time, Shane and Ryann become friends, enjoying each other’s company and their friends. They begin to confide about each of their past; Ryann about her husband’s suicide and Shane about his jail term, and being removed as a pastor. Shane realizes that he is falling in love with Ryann, and each time Stuart pushes himself around her, Shane is ready to come to Ryann’s rescue.   Even though she too is falling for Shane, she knows that Stuart will cause havoc, and with the threats of her family losing their resort, she has no choice but agree to accept Stuart’s proposals.

What follows is Ryann’s friends and family, as well as Shane will step up to try and help her.  Will Ryann be forced to marry Stuart?  Will Shane find redemption?  I did enjoy Shane and Ryann as a couple.  I loved the many wonderful friendships and families that were part of the town.  

Wildflower Road was a wonderful heartwarming story line that pulled on many different emotions; love, tragedy, manipulation, friendships/family, financial straits, suicide, and happiness. Wildflower Road was well written by Janine Rosche.  I suggest you read this book.
