REVIEW: DESERT SKY is the fourth instalment n Jax Hart’s contemporary, adult RBMC: SANTA FE NM erotic, MC romance series. This is Jaxson ‘JD’ Northport, and Skye’s story line.DESERT SKY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from several first person perspectives including Edge, Tyler, JD and Skye DESERT SKY follows the rekindling relationship between our story line couple. Approximately six years earlier, JD and Skye had the whole world ahead of them until Skye disappeared without a trace, and JD found himself lost without his proverbial compass. Refusing to bend to his parents’ will, and set himself up as the heir apparent, JD found a home with the RBMC: Santa Fe, wherein he would let everyone know about the woman who walked away. Fast forward to present day, the RBMC located our story line heroine, a JD was determined to make her pay, for the heartbreak and pain, and the missing years without the knowledge of his son but all is not as it appears to be, and with the truth, JD is determined to make everyone pay.

The world building focuses on grief and loss, betrayal and vengeance as JD struggles with what happened and why. Unable to trust the woman he once loved, JD wants Skye to suffer, in the same way he has suffered for over six years but Skye did not want to be found, she needed to protect the son JD knew nothing about.

The relationship between Skye and JD is a second chance romance. High school sweethearts torn apart by betrayal and lies, JD only saw the deception of the woman he once loved but Skye only wanted to protect our hero, and the child he knew nothing about. Slow to rekindle, Skye and JD will dance around once another but JD is was determined to make Skye wait. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.

The energetic and often questionable secondary and supporting characters include the return of several members of the RBMC: Tarak Cassadore and Amber, Edge and Regan, and club president River Cruz; former military Tyler and Malik, as well as JD’s mother Clarissa Northport, and his brothers Cal and Colton.

DESERT SKY is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, dysfunctional family dynamics, relationships and love. The premise is dramatic, heart breaking and emotional; the romance is limited but edgy; the characters are broken, flawed and determined.

REVIEW:THE BIKER AND HIS BRIDE by Jax Hart is a stand alone, contemporary, adult , MC romance focusing on the president of the Fire Skulls MC Logan ‘Rogue’ Thorne, and Riley Anderson.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Riley and Rogue), as well as omniscient third person perspectives THE BIKER AND HIS BRIDE follows in the wake of Riley’s non-wedding. Fleeing an abusive and controlling fiance, Riley Anderson finds freedom and protection in Sable Creek, North Carolina where she will come face to face with her future in the guise of Fire Skulls MC club president Rogue Thorne. Rogue takes an immediate liking to our story line heroine who is determined to start her life anew but the past refuses to let go for both Riley and Rogue, and our couple will be targeted in a bid to take back what doesn’t belong.

The world building focuses on Riley’s fight for freedom. Determined to escape the life she left behind, Riley discovers the dangerous side of MC life, when she is caught in the cross fire of an MC war. Meanwhile, Riley has plans for the town of Sable Creek, North Carolina, plans that will see a successful venture for everyone concerned.

The relationship between Rogue and Riley is one of immediate attraction. Quick to develop, Rogue knows immediately that Riley will be his happily ever after, but a war is on the horizon, and Rogue struggles to protect the woman he loves. The $ex scenes are all implied.

We are introduced to several members of the Fire Skulls MC as well as Riley’s ex Caleb, her parents, and Rogue’s ex Brielle.

THE BIKER AND HIS BRIDE is a fast paced, quick story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, acceptance and love. The premise is entertaining and engaging-a lighter MC romance story, with much of the conflict resolution behind the scenes or off page. There is more telling than showing, and in this, the missing details are a bit of a disappointment; the characters are determined; the romance is seductive.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Savannah and River) DESERT HEAT follows in the wake of the murder of a member of the RBMC: Santa Fe. The RBMC: Santa Fe is at war with a rival MC-a massive warehouse fire, theft of close to one-million dollars in merchandise, and the murder of one of their own, sets the new MC president, River Cruz, on the tail of his rival’s daughter. Enter Savannah ‘Graystone’, a young woman in hiding at a preppy college in Maine, a college in which River, and his MC brother Rogan akaTank, are about to enroll. What ensues is the building relationship predicated upon lies between our story line couple, and the potential fall-out when Savannah discovers the truth about River Cruz.

Savannah is the daughter of the president of The Outlaws MC, Albuquerque, and as such she has become a target of our story line hero. Demanding reparations for the murder of one of their own, River Cruz is taking aim at the woman with whom he will fall in love.

The relationship between Savannah and River aka Hunter is predicated upon a number of lies. Savannah is not whom she claims to be , and River is hoping to destroy the club he blames for the death of his MC brother. Seducing Savannah came easily but the truth was about to spiral out of control. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate and intense.

We are reintroduced to Amber and Tarak, Regan and Edge; River’s Sargent Rogan aka Tank; Savannah’s friend Brandi, as well as Dean Smith, and several members of both The Outlaws and RBMC: Santa Fe.

DESERT HEAT is a fast paced story of betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, power and control. The character driven premise is intriguing and haunting; the characters are desperate, animated and real; the romance is seductive.
