ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 12,2022.

When she was a little girl, Remy Archer fell in love with Hyde Fuller at first sight. In fact, he was the only thing she could see for a very long time. For Remy, it never mattered to her that Hyde was always too serious and always seemed so sad. To her, he was the very best, and the center of her entire world. She never dreamed he would let her down when she needed him the most.

Now Remy is a semi-reasonable adult, one with a better understanding of why her intense feelings scared Hyde away when she was at her lowest point. She’s moved on, and if anyone asks she’s perfectly happy with the chaotic and hectic life she’s built. She’s also really proud that she’s still around to experience all the best and worst that surviving something deeply traumatic has to offer. The last thing she needs or wants, is Hyde coming back and taking over her every thought and feeling the way he once did. Unfortunately, they picked the exact same time to come home to search for a little redemption.

When he was a little boy, the instant they met, Hyde Fuller wanted nothing more than to protect Remy Archer from everything, including herself. She gleefully took up every moment of his free time, and every ounce of his patience, as they grew alongside one another. He was so intent on keeping her safe, he didn’t realize how deeply Remy had worked her way into his heart.

Now that Hyde’s facing the biggest challenge and biggest change of his entire life, he deeply regrets walking away from Remy. She was always the one person who always had his back, no matter what. The way Remy loved him used to terrify him, but now, it’s the way he loves her that scares him to death.
Hyde knows he needs Remy in his life, so he can finally figure out how to be the man she always believed him to be. History has a bad habit of repeating itself, and Remy has a knack for turning even the most simple of situations end over end. This time Hyde is determined to stay by her side no matter what, even though his love for Remy is going to change more than his life this time around.

REVIEW:This book was sentimental and so emotional for me to read and hit very close to home, thus becoming one of the best reads I have ever consumed.

Now, it is safe to say that this book has an underlying message, you can’t miss it, but there is also so much hope, love and understanding. I love second generation books, it’s a glimpse into the lives of the characters we have come to know and love, but also more.

Remy and Hyde will make you cry, yearn, scream and wish for the world to be a different place, but they will also make you smile and believe in love again. Hyde has his troubles like so many of us do, but his daughter is his joy and he will do anything to protect her. Remy is such a complex character, one that has been diagnosed with a mental illness, Prodigal Son deals with this heavy topic, and I have to get it to Jay for bringing it up, many people simply brush it off and “suck it up” type of attitude. These two have been intertwined since childhood, and nothing is going to stop their love now. Bring some tissue and something to cuddle with, Jay activated super mode and got us all in our feels.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date June 22, 2021

Ry Archer and Bowe Keller are as different as night and day. But that doesn’t stop the childhood frenemies from reconnecting whenever one of them needs some help tackling any of life’s major puzzles, like figuring out why getting what you always thought you wanted isn’t living up to all the hype. They might constantly rub each other the wrong way (except for the times when they rub each other the really-really right way), but there is no denying they’ve always made one hell of a great team. They manage to balance each other out… when they aren’t driving each other crazy.

For Ry, he thought he had the perfect girl, the one who was going to run headfirst into a methodically planned future. He was going to marry young and have the same kind of legendary, life-long romance his parents did… or so he believed. His girl was going to stand by his side as he chased his dream of being a professional football player all the way to the NFL.

He was wrong.

Now, Ry’s gotta figure out the difference between a bruised heart and a broken one, and the only person who can teach him the difference is Bowe.

Bowe always felt like she had to run before she learned to walk to keep up with her father’s musical legacy. He’s her hero, and she wants nothing more than to make him proud. Bowe’s about to figure out that maybe she wasn’t meant to be in a rock and roll band, and that it is entirely possible she let her father’s success cloud her idea of what making music should be. Bowe needs to find her own path to fame, and there’s a good chance she wouldn’t be brave enough or bold enough to start over if Ry Archer hadn’t pushed his way back into her life when she least expected it.

Some days they’re enemies. Other days they’re lovers. For a while, they were strangers. But now, it feels more like they might’ve always been soulmates.
Eventually, Ry and Bowe realize that letting go of an old dream and creating a new one is much easier to do with the right person by your side.

REVIEW:Fortunate Son by Jay Crownover launches the next generation of the Marked Men series with none other than Bowe Keller.

Bowe Keller and Ry Archer have known each other their entire lives. As different as oil and water, they always clash when they are around each other. Even though the two have always been competitive, they also have seen each other through all the firsts of life. Ry helps Bowe with her band and Bowe gives Ry advice on life. Neither realize how much the other means until they see each other in a new light.

This new adult romance is a bridge between a few different sub-genres, new adult romance, enemies to lovers and a dash of second chance romance. Overall, the plot of the book is easy to keep up with, and the characters are fun and interesting to read. My only comment would be how much time is given explaining how each character is related to a previous series. No complaint to this, as I can see why it would be needed, however, as a follower of the reader, it was a little repetitive. I can’t wait to see where the series goes now, this was a good way to kick off the next gen series.

I’m not one to normally share lines of a book, as I think it’s a kind of spoiler, but this one is a new all-time favorite for me.

“I like you a little bit more each time you prove to me just how flawed you are.”

Get you a partner that thinks this and life is complete!

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 27 ,2020

Dr. Presley Baskin has always lived a quiet, calm life. Unfortunately, nothing about her life in Loveless, Texas—especially not the wild, rowdy, and impossibly close-knit Lawton family who’ve claimed her—is quiet or calm. Which is how loner Presley finds herself roped into patching up local bad boy Shot Caldwell against her better judgment. Presley wants nothing to do with the dangerous, brooding leader of the local outlaw motorcycle club. But when someone starts stalking her, Shot is the only person she trusts to help. Plus he owes her one…

Palmer ‘Shot’ Caldwell has always known his life isn’t made for relationships. At least until shy, secretive, Presley reluctantly pulled a bullet out of him. He’s oddly protective of the pretty doctor, so when she comes to him for help, hard-hearted Shot suddenly realizes there’s nothing he wouldn’t do to keep her safe.

REVIEW:Ms. Jay Crownover has gifted us with the next book in the Loveless, Texas series, and what a great read it was! Now this is the third book in the series, and while reading the books in order is my preference, Blacklisted can be read as a standalone.

Dr. Presley is trying to get used to what has become her new normal. The loss of her mother, of the relation she had with her siblings she knew nothing about pressuring her to spend time with them, and to cap that off a former friend is not only out to ruin her life, but kill her as well. With the drama of life swirling around her, Presley finds herself stitching up the one and only Shot Caldwell, rough and ragged man of danger.

Shot is not what Presley thought she would need in her life, but with a murderer out to get her she calls in a favor for saving his life. Shot is a biker to the core and never goes back on a debt or a promise. When he proclaims himself Presley’s protector, he brings his club members to help keep her safe. Through this high paced, angsty romance, we welcome characters back from previous books. It is always fun to read about where characters are and how they have grown in the next books when they come out.

Shot and Presley are my favorite couple in this series so far. While Shot is strong and protective, he is also the most understanding to Presley’s situation with life. She wants her life to stop being put on hold, to live life to the fullest, Shot is on board with this plan and ready to help her take life the horns if you will. Way to go to Jay Crownover! 4.5 Stars from me.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date February 25, 2020

From the New York Times bestselling author of the Marked Men series comes an irresistible and suspenseful romance between a tough Texas Ranger and his first love–a woman in danger who insists she doesn’t need his protection.

Hill Gamble is a model lawman: cool and collected, with a confident swagger to boot. Too bad all that Texas charm hasn’t gotten him anywhere in his personal life, especially since the only girl he ever loved has always been off-limits. But then Hill is assigned to investigate her father’s mysterious death, and he’s forced back to the town–and the woman–he left behind.

When Hill left Loveless, he broke Kody Lawton’s already battered heart. And now that he’s working on her father’s case, avoiding him is impossible. She can handle Hill and her unwanted feelings–until he puts his life on the line to protect her. Suddenly, Kody realizes that Hill could be taken away from her…for good.

••••••••

REVIEW:The second in the Loveless series by Jay Crownover is one of lose, love and vulnerablilty..

Kody Lawton has known pain and lose, she is old friends of both, but when her father turns up dead, the one person in the world she never wanted to see is the one she secretly needs the most. Kody is a spitfire through and through, she takes care of herself and doesn’t trust many people. She learned the hard way what that trust can do when it’s broken.

Hill Gamble left the town of Loveless in his near view mirror for a good reason, and his reason for being be is just as good.

Kody Lawton.

The one woman that wants nothing to do with him might need his help more than either of them know. Hill has lived his life on the straight and narrow, a Texas ranger to boot, he has returned to Loveless to help in the investigation of the Lawton patriarch. However, his ugly past and all too complicated present collided and long ago emotions that he thought he berried are making their way to the surface…

Jay Crownover writes an adventure that will twist the heart, engage the mind and warm the soul. A cowboy romance about forgiveness, love and hope all rolled into a plot with twists that no one could see coming. I very much enjoyed this story, just as I look forward to more that will hopefully come.

REVIEW:
I’m a sucker for a good ole enemies turned lovers’ story, and this one had the best twists in it.

Aspen Barlow moves to a town called Loveless while she is in high school and meets a boy named Case. Now Case and Aspen aren’t what you would call friends, but he does make Aspen feel more welcome, and because of this she comes to care for him greatly.

Fast forward years later, and Aspen is in court, but her client is non other than Case’s hateful ex-wife. Aspen does all she can to help Case while keeping her client happy, but the outcome has Case hating the very air she breathes. The one person she has always looked up to and admired has come to hate her, now what is she to do?

Time goes on and while overcoming a divorce, Aspen is thrust into a dangerous situation and must call on the new sheriff. That’s right, Sheriff Case Lawless.

Case is now the sheriff, it is his job to keep the citizens of Loveless safe, and unfortunately for him that also includes Aspen Barlow. The woman that ruined his life, that took his son from him.

When Aspen is targeted Case must put his feelings for her aside and find out who is causing her trouble.

While things unfold Case starts learning things about Aspen that skews his hateful few of her.

Could she not be the person he thinks she is?

What happens when all is revealed?

This was such a great start to a new series, and I can not wait for the next to come out. This book has all the dram and suspense, but the has injections of the best steamy moments you could ask for. I have read Ms. Jay before and knew the kind of work she does, this is no exception.
