Review:

How the Italian Claimed Her begins with Cristiano Vitale in the midst of planning a launch that, hopefully, will bring the legendary Francisco Vitale fashion house, back to the top of the fashion world.  In Christiano’s words, “……it is a do or die moment that he has spent a decade rebuilding”.  The “face” of the house, on which everything is riding, is supermodel Jensen Davis.

Cristiano is approached by his CMO with unsettling news that Jensen has made the headlines in the most unsettling way, characterized as a catfight with an actual princess.  Cristiano is more than livid and takes it upon himself to speak with Jensen himself, in person.  He travels to London and ultimately speaks with Jensen about her antics, and she assures him it won’t happen again.  Imagine her surprise when he informs her that he knows it won’t happen again…….because she’ll be staying at his Lake Como estate until after the launch.

Jensen fights the declaration with everything she has but eventually gives up because she needs this job worse than anyone knows.  She has been trying to distance herself from her family reality show, which she has already quit.  However, it doesn’t take Cristiano long to figure out that things aren’t always as they appear. 

How the Italian Claimed Her is another wonderfully written story by Jennifer Hayward.  Cristiano and Jensen are both very well written and their chemistry is palpable from the beginning.  Their interactions draw you in immediately.  The world of wealth and beauty created in this one is easy to “see” and what happens is easy to “feel”.  It has been a very long time since I’ve read a story that was, in my humble opinion, this timely.  The world we live in is so easily influenced by ones’ perceptions of everyone and everything, without really knowing what’s actually happening or why, with taking things at surface value instead of digging just a little deeper to see what’s below said surface.  This story is one of betrayal and redemption, doubt and certainty, love and trust and ultimately believing in yourself. 

How the Italian Claimed Her, I believe, is my favorite so far by Jennifer Hayward.  If you’re a fan of the genre and romance in general, you will never go wrong with one of her tales.  Well done, Jennifer Hayward!  Very, very well done!

Review:

Married for His One-Night Heir begins with Giovanna Castiglione, (Gia), in her boss’ office in the Bahamas discussing interior designs for a new property her boss is proposing.  Gia’s boss invites her to a party that evening, where she’ll be hosting prospective investors.  Gia reluctantly accepts, but only after she gets her son to bed.  Once she spends time with her son and gets him tucked in, she heads to the party.  However, once she arrives at the party, she spots none other than Santo Di Fiore.  She tries to duck and evade him, but Santo has questions………lots of questions.  Gia has been in hiding from her infamous mob father, and come to find out, hiding from Santo as well. 

Santo has tried to get Gia out of his mind for a very long time.  After all, he’s known for his playboy ways, but what most don’t know is that there is one woman he can’t get out of his head……..Gia Castiglione.  Once he approaches her, their worlds are changed forever.  Not only do they share a son that Santo knew nothing about, but the demands he’s making of her will force her out of hiding and her comfort zone.  Oh, and by the way, no one says no to a Di Fiore.

Married for His One-Night Heir is the final installment in The Powerful Di Fiore Tycoons trilogy, and it does not disappoint.  Your heart will break for Gia and the life that had been forced upon her that forced her into hiding.  She is fierce in her protectiveness of her son, for whom she has vowed will never be exposed to the things she was as a child and young adult.  To say Santo was shocked to his soul finding out he had a son would be a gross understatement, and I didn’t like his heavy handedness when it came to the ultimatums he gave Gia regarding their son, but I understood them.  Once he gets past the hurt and really focuses on him and Gia and their son though?  Swoonworthy……. I loved his protective nature and I loved the chemistry between he and Gia.  When you read the scenes with him and his son, you’re heart will melt. 

Married for His One-Night Heir is a story about second chances and ultimately having to lower the walls they’ve erected trying to protect themselves.  Once they figure out they don’t have to hide their true selves from each other?  Sweet baby Jesus…………  This was a wonderfully written end to the trilogy, but that statement makes me a little sad.  If you’re a lover of this genre, you’ll NEVER go wrong with one of Hayward’s stories.  Well done, Jennifer Hayward!  Very, very well done!

This installment of The Di Fiore Tycoons series begins with Lazzero Di Fiore needing to close a huge deal with a competitor company. He’s promised his Board, so now, he needs to make it happen. The problem? Said competitor is married to one of Lazzero’s exes, who just so happens to still be in love with him.

When he enters his favorite coffee house, and spots Chiara, he starts to formulate a plan. As he overhears Chiara’s take on wealthy businessmen, he decides that she’d be perfect for what he has in mind: her to accompany him to Europe posing as his fiancé. Chiara isn’t looking for a relationship and Lazarro surely isn’t either. He’s more of a ‘love ‘em and leave ’em happy’ kind of guy.

Chiara, who is in need of money to help her father, accepts Lazarro’s offer. What neither of them counted on was the growing attraction that has been there for about as long as he’s been coming into the coffee shop. His Million-Dollar Marriage Proposal is another wonderfully written story by Jennifer Hayward. The characters are engaging and pull you in from the beginning. Chiara’s emotions are beautifully written and her stubbornness, along with her underlying vulnerability, will have readers falling in love with her. Lazarro has more going on that initially meets the eye. Damaged by his parents’ disaster of a marriage, your heart will ache reading his reasons for being so guarded with his heart. But, when the two come together, the chemistry leaps off the page. If you’re not reading Hayward’s works, you’re sorely missing out. Well done, Jennifer Hayward!! Very, very well done! I can’t wait for the next one………..

Review:

Christmas at the Tycoon’s Command begins with Chloe Russo being  summoned back to New York by her “boss”, Nico Di Fiore.  She knew the time had come to assume her duties at her family’s company, but that didn’t make it a task she looked forward to.  Her parents, who were killed in a terrible accident, had built the company from the ground up and it was time to take her rightful place in the company, after burying herself in her work in their Paris lab.  To say she was not looking forward to it is a huge understatement.  It still galled her that her father had named Nico to head the company instead of her Uncle Giorgio.  But what galled her even more was Nico’s rejection years earlier.

Nico thought that he had readied himself for Chloe’s return.  He was all about controlling everything and everyone in his world.  However, once he sees Chloe, he worries that said control will be even harder to control.

During a board meeting in which pitches are made for the Christmas season, Chloe unveils her ambitious plan to put her company, Evolution, back on top.  Even though Nico is not convinced that she can pull it off, he gives her the okay to test the waters with the unveiling of her new product.  Once he green lights the program, he makes it his mission to guide Chloe in order to help her come out of her shell and assume her place in the company. 

As Chloe gets her campaign off the ground, a PR nightmare ensues.  She and Nico have to work hard to handle everything thrown at them.  However, when secrets are revealed and feelings are hurt, Chloe is afraid of not only losing her campaign, but Nico as well.  Not that she ever thought he’d be hers to lose….. And, his actions are proving that thought true.

Christmas at the Tycoon’s Command is another wonderful  addition to Hayward’s long list of enjoyable stories.  The chemistry of the two main characters is amazing.  Chloe has always been a shy behind-the-scenes kind of girl.  I loved seeing her come out of her shell and facing all of her fears head on.  Nico, however, is the one who surprised me.  In one sense, he’s your typical alpha billionaire type, but it is his back story and his justification for the things that he’s done that will pull you in.  This one, more than any other written by Hayward, in my humble opinion, was more of an emotional read.  Christmas at the Tycoon’s Command will pull you in at the very beginning and keeps you turning the pages faster and faster.  It also does what, to me, signifies a great author:  leaves you wanting more.  I absolutely can’t wait for the next one.  Well done, Jennifer Hayward!  Very, very well done!!

Review:

Salazar’s One-Night Heir begins with Alejandro accepting a challenge from a friend:  survive two weeks without your money and your affluence.  Alejandro accepts the challenge and finds himself at the Hargrove family ranch as “Colt Banyon”, a lowly stable groom.  There is a history between the two families, one that left Alejandro’s beloved grandmother seeking revenge, and also puts Alejandro in the position to discover the truth and finally get justice.  The last thing he needs is to be intrigued by Cecily Hargrove’s presence. 

As Cecily tries to get herself, and her horse, back into top competing form, things aren’t going well.  To top it off, a new groom, Colt, is telling her she’s going about things all the wrong way.  She storms off, not believing the audacity that someone, especially a new groom, would ever challenge her.  What she can’t understand is why she can’t get that confrontation out of her mind…. She can’t afford any distractions, but as time passes, it becomes more than obvious that the attraction goes both ways.  They resist, but ultimately give into the passion firing between them.  After all, what can one night hurt……………..

Salazar’s One-Night Heir is another nicely written story by Jennifer Hayward.  Cecily is a character who is independent, and at the same time, needful.  Once you learn more about her mother and her past, your heart will ache for her.  Alejandro is, in a word, delicious.  His love and devotion to his grandmother will endear him to everyone.  However, it is his fierce protectiveness that develops for Cecily that will pull you in.  If you’re looking for a quick and fun read with well developed characters and a hot romance, you’ll not go wrong with this latest installment from Jennifer Hayward.  Well done, Jennifer Hayward!  Very well done!

Review:

A Debt Paid in the Marriage Bed begins with Lorenzo returning from a business trip abroad, only to be surprised with some astonishing news:  due to a slip up by his legal team, he learns he’s still married to Angelina…..over a year after said divorce was “final”.  Knowing he should be upset, he can’t help but wonder if this isn’t the answer to a bigger problem.  After being summoned by his father earlier, he was told it was now up to him to produce a Ricci heir, due to his sister-in-law’s infertility issues.  (It’s not as cold as it sounds.)  However, the biggest problem?  Oh yeah….he’s still inlove with Angelina.

Angelina has found a spot to escape her engagement party to get a little air.  Imagine her shock when she turns to see none other than Lorenzo standing before her.  Once he informs her that they’re still married, she has to tell her intended that their wedding is off.  She also knows she should have been more upset about that little ditty, but she can’t help feeling a little relieved.  After all, no one could ever stir her emotions the way Lorenzo had.  Both, good and bad.

What follows is an emotional story where both Angelina and Lorenzo have to face their fears and their pasts.  Angelina grew up in a wealthy and socially connected family that left a very bitter taste in her mouth when she saw what it did to her parents’ marriage.  Even though she and Lorenzo had explosive chemistry, she couldn’t help but grow to resent him when he became distant when working on a big deal that would take him away from her, both physically and emotionally.  So, she did the only thing she could at the time: she ran.  Lorenzo knows that he’ll have to do things differently this time around.  He’s harbored guilt he has never shared with anyone, but knows he’ll have to face it, not only with himself, but with Angelina.

Once they both realize the love they truly have for each other, both are bound and determined to make it work.  There were a few bumps along the way that, in my humble opinion, only made their connection stronger.  A Debt Paid in the Marriage Bed is ultimately a story about facing your past, and your fears, in order to achieve the future that you both deserve.  If you’ve never read Jennifer Hayward, this would be a great place to start. But, I have to say, if you’ve never read her, you are missing out.  You always leave one of her stories feeling as if you actually know her characters personally and you have a bit of a brighter outlook on life.  A Debt Paid in the Marriage Bed is no exception.  Well done, Jennifer Hayward!  Very, very well done!

A Deal for the Di Sione Ring begins with Nate Brunswick visiting with his grandfather, who is holding on to life as he makes a request of Nate:  find the Di Sione ring, which he had to part with long ago.  Even though Nate has more important things to do, he agrees to search out the ring.  He flies out once he gets a lead on the ring, only to have a  chance encounter with an intriguing maid at the hotel he’s staying in.   Of course, he is immediately struck by her exotic looks, and has a bit of fun with her, but ultimately sends her on her way.

Mina leaves the hotel flustered by her encounter with the handsome billionaire.  She has to get ready for dinner with her fiancé, which is something that she is not looking forward to.  She does not want to marry him, but he is wealthy and powerful, which is why her mother has arranged said marriage.  Mina continually tells herself that she has to do this in order to help her mother, who lives way beyond her means, even though she will be trapped in a loveless marriage.  To say dinner does not go well is a gross understatement.  The next day, Mina prepares for her wedding, even though she’s told her mother this is not what she wants.  As everyone leaves Mina to await the carriage that will take her to her wedding, the doorbell rings.  She opens the door to find the handsome Nate Brunswick standing there….shocked.  Once Nate discovers that she holds the Di Sione ring and she is about to marry a man whom she does not love, he makes her an offer she can’t refuse.  What follows is a whirlwind of activities that ultimately saves Mina from a fate not of her own choosing, and thrusts her into the business world that she’s always wanted to be a part of.  For Nate, it’s a means to an end.  However, neither are prepared for feelings that flair, all in the name of the deal for the Di Sione ring….

A Deal for the Di Sione Ring is a wonderfully written tale about two characters that draw you in immediately.  Even though Mina is a bit naïve, the reader will feel for her and her predicament.  It’s obvious very early on that Nate is a bit broken, but when they come together sparks fly and their chemistry is palpable.  This is the first I’ve read of this series, but have already bought the previous six so that I can read the Di Sione  back stories.  Each book in this series has been written by a different author, which in my humble opinion, is no easy feat.  The characters are intriguing, as is the storyline.  Of course, Jennifer Hayward is the reason I read this installment, but she has introduced me to a world that I definitely want to know more about.  If you’re a fan of romance, you’ll find this one to your liking.  If you’re a fan of romance written Jennifer Hayward’s way, you’ll love it!  Well done, Jennifer Hayward!  Very well done!
