Devon Pratt loves many things in life. The beauty of flowers. The yin and yang of energy. The power of positivity in people. And everything to do with the Christmas season.

As a floral shop owner in the beach town of Cape May, she looks forward to decorating both the town and running the annual holiday party to benefit the local animal shelter. Too bad the new owner of her favorite venue is more like the Grinch than Santa. Working with him will be a challenge, but she’s too full of seasonal cheer to let him annoy her, right?

Jameson Franklin hates many things in life. Crowds. Fake cheer. Ostentatious décor. And especially Christmas. The season is full of things he’d rather avoid, but since taking over the popular restaurant Vintage temporarily for his cousin as a favor, he’s trying to play nice with the locals. Too bad the florist is insisting on overrunning his sacred space with blooms, dogs, and an endless positive persistence that pushes all of his buttons. But when too many heated confrontations lead to heated encounters, he begins to wonder what it would be like to love not only Christmas, but Devon Pratt.

Let the festivities begin.

REVIEW:CHRISTMAS IN CAPE MAY is book 3.5 in Jennifer Probst’s contemporary, adult SUNSHINE SISTERS erotic, romance series, a part of the 1001 Dark Nights multi-authored series. This is restaurateur Jameson Franklin, and florist Devon Pratt’s story line. CHRISTMAS IN CAPE MAY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from omniscient dual third person perspectives (Devon and Jameson) CHRISTMAS IN CAPE MAY follows the building but contemptuous romance and relationship between our story line couple. Cape May restaurant owner Mac was taking a leave of absence, and brought in his cousin Jameson Franklin to manage the popular family restaurant known as Vintage but from the outset Jameson’s need to make changes sets everyone on edge including florist Devon Pratt. Jameson refuses to host the upcoming fund raiser for the local animal shelter, and Devon is about to show Jameson the power of small town control. As Jameson continues to alienate the folks of Cape May, Devon sees behind the pain, and into the heart of a man who’s struggling to thrive. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Devon and Jameson, and the potential fall-out as Jameson’s time in Cape May comes to a close.

The world building focuses on Jameson’s need to update and change his cousin’s restaurant but the people in Cape May like things the way they are, and Jameson is about to rile the proverbial feathers of the tight-knit small town. Devon Pratt warned Jameson Franklin that his changes would not be approved but Jameson struggles with the approaching holidays, and wants nothing to do with tradition or songs.

The relationship between Jameson and Devon begins acrimoniously as our couple butt-heads from the first time they met. Jameson need changes, and Devon warns that change is not good, nor has it ever been approved. With the arrival of the world’s largest puppy, Devon and Jameson find themselves sharing custody of a dog no one wants, and in the end, the love for a puppy becomes the love between two people battling the loneliness of the holidays. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters are familiar and fun: Avery and Carter, Bella and Gabe, Taylor and Pierce. We are introduced to restaurant owner Mac, his employees, and Bear.

CHRISTMAS IN CAPE MAY is a fast paced, quick read; a story of family and friendships, love and acceptance. The premise is entertaining, engaging and sweet; the romance is seductive; the characters are energetic and enthusiastic.

REVIEW: SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST is the third and (final?) instalment in Jennifer Probst’s contemporary, adult TWIST OF FATE erotic, romance series focusing on three friends (Chiara, Malia, Tessa) who own Quench, an online magazine that focuses on self-care for women. This is makeover specialist Tessa Harper, and sports journalist/radio broadcaster Ford Maddox’s storyline. SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Tessa and Ford) SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST follows the frenemies to lovers relationship between makeover specialist Tessa Harper, and sports journalist/radio broadcaster Ford Maddox. Tessa and Ford are co-godparents to Malia and Palmer’s daughter Veronica (SO IT GOES #2) but our couple struggle to remain civil in one another’s presence. One night together, babysitting Veronica, ends with Ford asking for Tessa’s help, and Tessa demanding a favor in return. Ford has fallen in love with a co-worker, a co-worker who sees Ford as only a friend, and with Tessa’s help, Ford is hoping to woo the woman towards a happily ever after but Ford never expected to fall for our story line heroine, a woman who may have more in common than he could have ever expected. Tessa Harper wants nothing to do with transforming Ford Maddox, but Quench is hoping to attract a new audience, and Ford may be the person for the job. What ensues is the building but acrimonious relationship between Ford and Tessa, and the fall-out when Ford’s make-over is more successful than Tessa could have imagined.

Tessa Harper has watched from the sidelines as her friends and business partners fell in love, and Tessa wanted her own happily ever after but there were no potential love matches on the horizon, as everyone she met eventually disappeared. Ford Maddox liked his life but wanted something more. Having fallen in love with Patricia, two years before, Ford knew he needed help, opting to admit defeat when having to ask Tessa for help.

Meanwhile café owner and their former business partner Roni’s father Mike is struggling in his attempts to ask out high school teacher Emma Primm. Mike’s lack of competence is heightened when Mike suspects Emma is seeing someone else. Hoping for a love match, Tessa, Malia and Chiara set a plan into motion to help Mike with his dating conundrum.

The relationship between Ford and Tessa is a frenemies to lovers. There is no explanation as to the how or why of their tempestuous rapport but sometimes people just don’t get along. Tessa struggles with Ford’s lack of finesse and sophistication, and Ford only has eyes for a woman who may be out of his league. As Tessa works her magic with Ford, our couple find themselves pulled into the aura that is attractions and lust. The $ex scenes are intimate and energetic without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters are colorful and familiar. We are reintroduced to Tessa’s business partners: Malia and Palmer, Chiara and Sebastian, cafe owner Mike, and high school teacher Emma Primm, as well as Ford’s co-worker Patricia, and Tessa’s uncles Bart, Vincent and Dom.

SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST is a story of family, friendships, and relationships; animosity and acceptance, attraction and love. The premise is amusing and pleasant; the characters are sassy, dynamic and animated although Tessa’s snobbish attitude was a little off-putting; the romance was seductive and sensual.

REVIEW:SO IT GOES is the second instalment in Jennifer Probst’s contemporary, adult TWIST OF FATE erotic romance series focusing on three friends (Chiara, Malia, Tessa) who own Quench, a women’s online magazine. This is thirty-two year old, advertising rep Malia Evergreen, and forty year old,CEO of Endless Vows Bridal Company billionaire Palmer Matterson’s story line. SO IT GOES can be read as a stand-alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous storyline is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Malia and Palmer) SO IT GOES follows the acrimonious relationship between thirty-two year old, advertising rep Malia Evergreen, and forty year old,CEO of Endless Vows Bridal Company billionaire Palmer Matterson. For approximately one year, Quench has been the primary online advertising firm for Palmer Matterson’s Endless Vows Bridal company but the business relationship between Palmer and Malia is tempestuous, at best. For some reason, Malia Evergreen took an instant disliking to our story line hero, a disliking that has affected their relationship going forward. Preconceived notions about the billionaire businessman haven’t set well with Malia Evergreen but when Malia left Quench to work for a non-profit organization, she quickly discovers her first big client is the man the pushes all of her buttons. Forced to work together for a cause, Malia continues to struggle with her attraction to a man she doesn’t like but a man who is about to propose a mutually beneficial arrangement. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Malia and Palmer, and the fall-out as Malia and Palmer want something different going forward.

Malia Evergreen’s attitude is cantankerous and rude. Our heroine wants nothing to do with Palmer Matterson believing he is an arrogant and self-centered businessman out for himself but Malia’s ideas and feelings are not based in fact, and she continues to battle between head and heart, falling for the man who has stolen her heart. Palmer Matterson has lusted after Malia Evergreen since their first meeting together but Malia’s attitude bordered on abusive whenever they were together. Hoping to change her mind, Palmer offers a solution, a fake-relationship for public consumption but a relationship that is about to turn into something more.

The relationship between Malia and Palmer begins acrimoniously as Malia wants nothing to do with our story line hero. Her behavior and demeanor is often immature and childish, and it doesn’t bode well for the man with whom she will fall in love. Malia’s temperament is questionable in the face of preconceived notional and a judgemental attitude; Palmer Matterson wants Malia to give him a chance. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters are numerous including several members of the charity organization, and Palmer’s assistants Andrea and Emeril, as well as Palmer and Malia’s extended families. We are reintroduced to Malia’s business partners at Quench, Chiara and Tessa, cafe owner Mike, and high school teacher Emma Primm.

SO IT GOES is a story of family, friendships, and relationships; of determination and independence, of acceptance and love. The premise is engaging and enjoyable; the romance is seductive; the characters are charismatic but desperate-Malia’s temperament and perspective did little to endear her to this reader. Similar to Chiara and Sebastian’s relationship and story, the heroine is difficult to like.

REVIEW:MEANT TO BE is the first instalment in Jennifer Probst’s contemporary, adult TWIST OF FATE romance series focusing on three friends (Chiara, Malia, Tessa) who own Quench, a women’s online magazine. This is Quench editor in chief Chiara Kennedy , and high school guidance counselor Sebastian Ryder.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Chiara and Sebastian) following three timelines MEANT TO BE focuses on the acrimonious relationship between Quench editor in chief Chiara Kennedy, and high school guidance counselor Sebastian Ryder. Five years earlier Chiara Kennedy and Sebastian Ryder met and spent one glorious night talking about life, love and everything it had to offer but Chiara believed it would never work between one another, and walked away without looking back until months later, her best friend and co-owner at Quench, Rory, introduced everyone to her new boyfriend Sebastian Ryder. Three years would pass, until the day Sebastian and Quench would lose Rory to a car accident, an accident that left Sebastian a shell of his former self. Fast forward to present day, Chiara and Sebastian, who haven’t spoken to one another in close to five years, would reconnect at a local bar, a bar where Sebastian and Chiara’s life would take a fateful turn. A one-night stand leaves Sebastian wondering about the what ifs and whys, and a guilt-ridden Chiara to worry about betraying her best friend and the memories they held. What ensues is the building but contemptuous relationship between Chiara and Sebastian, and the potential fall-out as Chiara is unable to let go of the guilt and grief leaving a heart broken Sebastian to wonder where everything went wrong.

Chiara Kennedy is a strong willed, independent, assertive and determined thirty something woman whose fast paced life style doesn’t leave room for romance or love. On the fast track to success, Chiara refuses to acknowledge her attraction to Sebastian Ryder, the man who once starred in her fantasies and dreams but the man to whom her best friend was once married. Keeping her distance from Sebastian wasn’t easy but as the years past, the anger grew towards the man with whom she would fall in love. Sebastian Ryder has never stopped thinking about the woman that got away but falling in love with Rory meant a chance at happiness, although a brief happiness until his world fell apart.

The relationship between Chiara and Sebastian is one of second chances, of a sorts, in the wake of what was and what will never be. Chiara broke Sebastian’s heart when she told him it would never work out but when Chiara refused to acknowledge their previous connection, Sebastian found himself on the outside looking in with the woman he loved. Struggling to convince Chiara to give him a second chance only pushed our couple further apart until fate intervened pulling our couple in another direction. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to Chiara’s friends and partners at Quench: Malia Evergreen, and Tessa; Rory’s father and café owner Mike; high school English teachers Emma Primm, and Pete Kempsey; Sebastian’s friend and volunteer at the Dream On Youth Center Ford.

MEANT TO BE is a story of grief, betrayal and loneliness, guilt and acceptance, second chances and love. The premise is engaging; the characters are spirited ; the romance is fated but saying that the relationship between Chiara and Sebastian was challenging-Chiara was not a likeable heroine, and in this I struggled to like the overall story. Chiara Kennedy’s attraction to Sebastian was overridden by her guilt about her friendship with Rory, and the ongoing lie she perfected about meeting Sebastian years before. Throughout the story line Chiara is almost insensitive and cold towards our story line hero, spending most of her time distancing from Sebastian; pushing her attraction down, pulling away from the man with whom she would fall in love. There is plenty going on in and between their lives but Chiara refuses to admit or accept the attraction or what was always meant to be.

REVIEW:ALL FOR YOU by Jennifer Probst is a contemporary, stand alone, erotic, romance story line focusing on yoga instructor Grant Madison, and advertising executive Ariel Devlin.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Grant and Ariel) ALL FOR YOU follows the building romance and relationship between yoga instructor Grant Madison and advertising executive Ariel Devlin. For months, Ariel has been lusting after her yoga instructor Grant Madison but Grant’s code of ethics forbid our hero from taking their relationship to something more having loved and lost in the past. A weekend together to promote the art of yoga, finds Grant and Ariel walking the edge with the beginnings of a secret affair but Ariel’s star is on the rise in the world of advertising, and a promotion was in her future, a promotion that would take Ariel away from the man with whom she is falling in love. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Ariel and Grant, and the potential fall-out as stubbornness, heart break and past mistakes surface to build a wall between our story line couple.

The relationship between Ariel and Grant begins slowly as student and instructor but there is no denying the attraction between our story line couple. Grant has been burned in the past thus struggling not to break his own code of ethics but the palpable sexual attraction between Grant and Ariel can not longer be denied, and Grant is willing to take their relationship to the inevitable next level. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic, passionate and intense.

The secondary and supporting characters include yoga student Missy, and Ariel’s fellow advertising exec Tim Grayson.

ALL FOR YOU is an erotic tale of love between two adults whose relationship may or may not be considered forbidden or unethical. Grant’s past has affected all his relationships going forward having lost everything to a former student, and Ariel struggles with the direction of her life, including a promotion that may see our heroine walking alone.
