ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 24, 2017

When she was a teen, Raven Bella Stratton’s father was killed in a horrible car crash. The bigger shock was the discovery of a woman with him—Diana Pierce—and their two fully packed suitcases with airline tickets to Paris. Devastated by her father’s betrayal, Raven went to live with her aunt, never truly overcoming the traumatic event. When she discovers that the mysterious woman had a family with a husband and three boys, Raven vows to leave the memory of her father behind.

Until Dalton Pierce visits one night and suddenly her past challenges her future…

Leaving his life in California behind to run Pierce Construction with his two older brothers, Dalton Pierce has enjoyed returning home and studying his passion of woodworking. But when he visits the local bar with his brothers one evening, he’s immediately drawn to the smart-mouthed, badass, sexy bartender who sets his body on fire. Unfortunately, she doesn’t seem as intrigued by him, and his multiple advances are met with rejection. When he offers to restore the bar back to its original glory, he begins to work with her on a daily basis, and falls harder. His plan of seduction slowly weaves a web around them both, until they are caught up in the spell. But Dalton doesn’t know the secret that can either destroy them both…or finally mend two broken hearts.

REVIEW: ANY TIME, ANY PLACE is the second installment in Jennifer Probst’s contemporary, adult BILLIONAIRE BUILDERS romance series focusing on the Pierce Brothers-Caleb, Dalton and Tristan Pierce- of Pierce Construction, Harrington Connecticut. This is youngest brother and carpenter Dalton Pierce, and bar owner Raven Stratton’s story line. ANY TIME, ANY PLACE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. We were first introduced to Raven in book one EVERYWHERE AND EVERY WAY.

SOME BACKGROUND: Approximately five years earlier the Pierce brothers lost their beloved mother to a car accident only to discover she was heading off to Paris with another man, leaving their father and the brothers behind. Four years later, their embittered father would succumb to a heart attack leaving Pierce Construction to his sons under a series of conditions wherein the now adult men must work and live together for one year before they can call the business their own. Following their mother’s death five years earlier, each brother went their separate ways but not before hurtful words, and accusations ripped them apart. The brother’s fractured dynamic will slowly heal as each man finds the woman that calls to his heart.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Dalton and Raven) ANY TIME, ANY PLACE focuses on the building relationship between carpenter Dalton Pierce and bar owner Raven Stratton. Raven has detested the Pierce brothers since discovering their mother was the woman in the car in which her father had died. Never knowing the extent or the basis of Raven’s anger Dalton Pierce has tried desperately to woo the woman that calls to his heart but a chance to remodel Raven’s bar-My Place- finds our hero working diligently to win over the feisty Raven Stratton. What ensues is the building romance, and the fall out when the truth is finally revealed.

Dalton Pierce is unaware of Raven’s connection to his past. His mother’s death has haunted our story line hero to the point of obsession, and Raven’s eventual revelations will throw Dalton into a spiral from which he may never return. Raven Stratton has struggled with her attraction to a man she hates with all of her heart-a misdirected hatred against a man who lost the mother that he loved. Revenge is the name of the game as Raven begins to weave around our hero’s heart but a heart Raven will learn is broken and lost. The relationship is slow to build as Raven keeps her distance from the man she is hoping to destroy. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive without the use of over the top graphic sexual language and text.

Tristan and Caleb Pierce, along with Tristan’s fiancée Morgan Raines (Everywhere and Every Way #1) play secondary and supporting characters, as well as Pierce Construction executive assistant Sydney Green who may or may not have had a prior relationship with Tristan Pierce. We are introduced to Raven’s CIA trained chef Al who struggles with his need to protect the woman who game him a chance; and Brady Heart, Pierce Construction company architect.

ANY TIME, ANY PLACE is an emotional story line of betrayal, revenge, grief and loss. There is no time on grief but a loss compounded by secrets and lies is a bitter grief from which to return. The premise is entertaining and encouraging; the characters are realistic and passionate; the romance is heartbreaking and intense. ANY TIME, ANY PLACE is an intense story of two people brought together by fate, and a connection that will break their hearts.

In fact, Morgan is pretty sure she’s found hers—and he looks quite enticing in a hard hat. As sparks fly between Morgan and Caleb despite his best intentions not to mix business and pleasure, will she finally warm up and help him lay the foundation for everlasting love?

••••••••••••

REVIEW: EVERYWHERE AND EVERY WAY is the first installment in Jennifer Probst’s new contemporary, adult BILLIONAIRE BUILDERS romance series focusing on the Pierce brothers-Caleb, Dalton and Tristan Pierce. This is eldest brother Caleb Pierce, and high-end home designer Morgan Raines story line.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Caleb and Morgan) EVERYWHERE AND EVERY WAY follows two paths: the building relationship between Caleb and Morgan; and the dysfunctional relationship between the Pierce brothers. Morgan is a high-end home designer to the stars, and her latest project involves the Pierce Brothers construction company, and most importantly the sexy and brooding Caleb Pierce. They have six months to complete a mansion fit for Hollywood’s leading couple but the animosity between the Pierce siblings, and the numerous changes to the interior design find Caleb and Morgan pushing the deadline a little too close. Morgan believes that mixing business with pleasure is doomed to fail as our heroine continues to push all of Caleb’s buttons on more than one occasion.

The relationship between Morgan and Caleb begins as a business arrangement that slowly evolves into something more. Both of our story line leads have experienced broken hearts, loss and shattered dreams that are equally painful and life altering. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive.

The Pierce brother’s relationship is strained: a lack of communication, mistaken beliefs, and a healthy disdain for their father have left a huge hole in the brother’s hearts, and has destroyed any semblance of civility or love between a once loving family. Following their mother’s death five years earlier, each brother went their separate ways but not before hurtful words, and accusations ripped them apart.

The world building focuses on the Pierce Brothers contracting business and each brother’s position within the company. EVERYWHERE AND EVERY WAY follows one year in the life as the Pierce brothers follow the stipulations in their father’s will in order to retain ownership of the family business-one year to make a profit, and one year living together as a family.

EVERYWHERE AND EVERY WAY is a delightful and engaging story line with a strong, confident heroine, and a brooding, alpha hero. The premise is heart warming ; the characters are colorful, energetic and charismatic; the romance is passionate and intense. Jennifer Probst has another winner with the Pierce Brothers and EVERYWHERE AND EVERY WAY.

excerpt

He closed the distance between them. Was that his heart beating? Stupid. Of course not. He was a grown man, and he didn’t get those feelings anymore. She tilted her head back, and he saw the slight tremble of her lips as she gazed back at him, refusing to look away. “I like you now.” She cleared her throat. The pulse at the base of her neck and the dilation of her pupils gave her away. She felt it, too. His nostrils flared like a predator’s on the hunt, but he moved slow, bending his head so his mouth was inches from hers, so he could feel the warm rush of her breath against him. So she had plenty of time to pull away and cry foul. Still, she rallied. She spoke his name on a ragged whisper. “What are you doing, Cal?” “I’m sorry.” She shuddered. His hands clasped her shoulders, and he breathed her in. “For misjudging me? Calling me a coward? Or not liking me at first?” He locked his gaze with hers to show her his intention. Paused. “For this.” Cal covered his mouth with hers. The moment her lips yielded under his, Caleb realized Morgan Raines was more dangerous than he’d ever imagined. She tasted like all the things he loved in his past—sugar cookies and bourbon-infused chocolate. Freshly squeezed orange juice and key lime pie. Deliciously sweet and tart and tasty. Everything he craved and couldn’t get enough of, wrapped up in this one gorgeous female. The kiss was slow and deep and oh, so thorough. Cal kept his hands firmly on her shoulders, not trusting himself to be cool. Who would’ve thought Morgan Raines would inspire violent lust instead of lukewarm interest? His body shook with the effort to control his instincts. Instead, he teased her, gathering her taste with his tongue and capturing the sexy little moan that spilled from her throat. It was a kiss that introduced, welcomed, lingered. It was the hottest kiss he’d ever shared with a woman, and he didn’t know what he was going to do about it.

Searching For Always
Searching For series – Book #4
by Jennifer ProbstRelease Date: June 30, 2015

Searching for AlwaysAmazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo / The Book Depository / BAM

Description:
She’s an expert in helping others de-stress, but Arilyn Meadows is running on fumes. Along with her job counseling singles seeking soul mates at the Kinnections agency in Verily, New York, she’s a yoga teacher, animal shelter volunteer, anger management therapist, and helping hand to her beloved grandfather. No time to find Mr. Right—but after discovering her yogi boyfriend in a compromising asana, Arilyn would rather dog-sit for her honeymooning friend Kate than risk her heart on another downward dog. And when police officer Stone Petty—radiating masculinity and bad-boy attitude—is sent to her for mandatory lessons in cooling off when the job gets too hot, Arilyn vows to ignore his seductive glances and sexy grin. But there’s no halting their sizzling flirtation—a red-hot, high-speed chase that’s breaking all the limits.

Review:
This is another winner! SEARCHING FOR ALWAYS is the 4th novel in the Searching For series by Jennifer Probst and it is the conclusion of our group of women who run Kinnections, a matchmaking agency in Verily, NY. I will no longer fear book covers with a happy bridal couple! They contain some great contemporary romance novels! Arilyn comes face to face with the cop who irritated her so much in Gen and Wolfe’s story. One word to describe Arilyn and Stone’s relationship: Combustible!

Arilyn Meadows is our very Zen like counselor and yoga teacher at the agency. She fosters abandoned dogs, meditates daily and teaches anger management classes. Stone Petty is our local policeman, who curses, is surly and has a bit of a temper. Well, a bad temper which lands him in Arilyn’s anger management class! She comes off as a little too perfect and he comes off as a jerk. I don’t know how it happens, but page by page I came to adore both of them! Now, that is writing talent! Arilyn has just dumped her Yoga teacher slash boyfriend who she found in a compromising position and she has some repressed anger that she is only too happy to unleash on Stone! He can take it and gives it right back at her! Stone is everything that Arilyn doesn’t want in a man, or so she thinks! He is a smoker, he eats meat, he has a bad boy attitude and he is very masculine! Opposites really do attract and as they get to know the other person behind the facade, they might have more in common than they think!

All of our favorite women from past novels make an appearance to help our couple see what is right in front of them, their soul mate! We also get to meet Poppy, the grandfather who helped raise Arilyn and is he a delight! It seems he doesn’t really like the nursing home and he escapes on a regular basis. He befriends our terror of a neighbor from previous books, Mrs. Blackfire and we learn her story. One of my favorite scenes is when Arilyn makes vegetarian lasagna for the group and let’s just say, it doesn’t go over well!

Our couple has some obstacles to overcome, but they are hilarious and hot together. We get to read the details of one of the weddings and the hilarious girls’ night out party, complete with a stripper. Did our women set up Stone for the job? Somehow, Stone gets a foster dog too, a little rat of a dog named Pinky! I laughed out loud during some of the action and learned that our Zen like yoga teacher really has fire in her and nicely complements our favorite local police officer! Their relationship is steamy hot! The writing will draw you in from page one, I could quote whole passages, but I will let you enjoy them on your own! I highly recommend this series and I’m off to read the earlier novels. Lucky me!

Searching for Beautiful

Amazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo / The Book Depository / BAM

Description:
Genevieve MacKenzie has her life completely under control. About to wed the charming Chief doctor at the local hospital, she’s an up-and-coming surgeon with everything she could ever want. Until an escape through the church window on the day of her wedding sends her life into a tailspin…and flings her right into her best friend’s arms.

When Wolfe catches his best friend falling out a window on her wedding day, he doesn’t ask questions. He whisks her away, determined to watch over her and discover the truth behind her desperate escape. But when his feelings turn more than platonic, he realizes he may risk his most important relationship in order to protect his damaged heart, and the woman he loves.

Can Genevieve and Wolfe’s friendship turn into something deeper—or is it already too late for true love?

Review:
I LOVED THIS BOOK!! I’m talking about SEARCHING FOR BEAUTIFUL by Jennifer Probst. To be honest, I usually run from the romantic novels with the happy bride and groom on the cover. This is my first novel by this author and it will not be my last. It can be read as a stand along novel, but now I have to go back to read about other characters, so it’s up to the reader. Gen is our runaway bride who is about to marry her “dream man” when her gut tells her to “RUN”. She listens and escapes through the church window into the arms of her best friend, Wolfe.

Wolfe and Gen have been best friends since she was twenty. They went through school together and have a great bond. Wolfe is a former underwear model and Gen is an up and coming surgeon. Wolfe doesn’t question her escape, he just whisks Gen away to a safe place, Vera Wang dress and all! He gives her the space she needs and learns that her fiancé hasn’t been the nicest guy. David, the jilted fiancé, has been controlling Gen throughout their relationship, making her feel bad about herself, demeaning her sexually. He was emotionally abusing her and planting the seeds in her family and coworkers minds that Gen “had issues”. Gen has got a great group of girlfriends and they add some much needed support. I didn’t know any of these characters before this novel, but I would want them by my side! They are hilarious and fiercely loyal!

Wolfe and Gen soon find their feelings are more than platonic, but we see glimpses of Wolfe’s dark past and he “doesn’t do relationships”. Soon they can’t deny their attraction to each other and the pages turn scorching! David, the spurned fiancé tries to win back Gen and he is a master manipulator. The police are called several times due to threats and vandalism. I’m sorry this is just a basic summary, but the writing is so captivating, it’s something you need to experience for yourself! Gen is so darn cute. She doesn’t want to be the Disney Princess that needs rescuing! The novel is full of great one liners and “product placement”. The author has many references to TV programs and movies. I happen to agree with the assessment of all of the shows, so I loved it. The burning question behind this story is: Will Wolfe be able to trust Gen with his past and his heart and turn this relationship into true love?  I swooned over the ending and how Wolfe’s adopted family helped him heal. You will LOVE this novel. I can’t wait for Arilyn’s novel and I am going to backtrack and read Jennifer Probst’s whole back list! I need to learn more about this group of women and their lucky men!

SEARCHING FOR SOMEDAY (Love Spells #1) by Jennifer Probst-a review

Searching for Someday

Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / Amazon.uk/ Barnes and Noble / KOBO / The Book Depository

RELEASE DATE: November 24, 2013

Kate has given up on love—at least for herself. She is both blessed and cursed with the ability to sense a romantic connection between two people—a gift that her family passed down for generations. When Kate launches her own matchmaking company, Kinnection, with her two best friends in a cozy New York town, she has to put aside her own romantic disasters to make her business a success.

But when a furious man stalks into her office and accuses her business of being a scam, Kate is given the ultimate challenge to prove herself. Slade puts himself in her hands and asks Kate to find him love. Enraged at his arrogance but stubbornly eager to prove herself, Kate agrees, dedicating herself to the journey of finding him love…only to find herself falling for him along the way.

•••••••••••••••••••

REVIEW: SEARCHING FOR SOMEDAY is the first instalment in Jennifer Probst’s new, contemporary, adult, slightly paranormal romance series-Love Spells. The premise of this particular instalment focuses on one of the co-owners of the match making business Kinnections-Kate Seymour and jaded divorce lawyer Slade Montgomery. Kate comes from a long line of females who have the ability to sense a connection between two people but when she accidently touches her latest client-the sparks literally fly and she believes it has all been a terrible mistake-there is no way this man could ever be her soul mate.

Searching for Someday follows Kate as she embarks on a journey to find a suitable match for Slade. Slade’s sister has signed up at Kinnections and Slade is hoping to prove that the love connection business is a scam. But with each encounter between Slade and Kate their connection becomes more real even though both refuse to acknowledge the truth.

Throughout the story we watch as Slade and Kate dance around each other-from their first meeting where Slade tells Kate her business is a scam to the morning after they finally make love and Slade tells Kate this is as far as it goes. Slade is a divorcee who has been burned by his first marriage and any possibility of a permanent relationship will send Slade running for the door. There is plenty of angst and the push and pull of attraction between our couple, but Slade’s actions speak louder than his mouth. He wants Kate for his very own but he will never put himself in a situation where anything will ever become permanent again.

Jennifer Probst introduces several colorful secondary characters including Kate’s co-owner at Kinnections-Kennedy and Arilyn ; friends Alexa, Gen and Wolfe; Slade’s sister Jane; and Kate’s mother-the hippie sex counselor. And we cannot forget about the love of Kate’s life-her roommate Robert. There are many more stories yet to be told and I can see a heartbreaking storyline for Gen and Wolfe. The world building is smooth and sets up the future storylines one at a time.

Searching for Someday is a wonderful romantic and predictable storyline about two people looking for something they never knew was missing. Kate has always believed there was someone for everyone but finding her Mr. Right was never the case. Slade was a fiercely independent lawyer whose life revolved around protecting his younger sister and in doing so put himself onto a path where he would find love and a happily ever after.

All The Way

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date March 4, 2013

The food critic…

Miranda Storme never expected to see Gavin Luciano again. Three years ago, they had an intense affair—and then he bolted. Now he’s back, and Miranda has the pleasure of a little payback: a scathing review of his restaurant. Revenge is a dish best served the first chance you get…

And the restaurateur…

With three months to make his family’s struggling Italian restaurant successful, a bad review is Gavin’s worst nightmare. But this isn’t just about the meal. He’s finally realized what he left behind and is determined to spend the next eight weeks proving himself to her in the kitchen…and in the bedroom! This is one dish she won’t be able to refuse…

••••••••••••••••

REVIEW: ALL THE WAY is a contemporary romance storyline that will tug at the heart of anyone who has loved and lost. But this storyline is also about what happens when a lack of communication between two people, who are desperately in love with each other, threatens to destroy their relationship.

Miranda and Gavin had a past together and rekindling their romance after three years of heartache and sorrow was something Miranda was not willing to accept. On leave of absence, Gavin returns home to help his family’s struggling restaurant only to find that the woman he once loved was the latest food critic who sabotaged everything his family had hoped for. And to make matters worse, Gavin’s feelings for Miranda had never changed. He hoped that he could persuade Miranda that he had changed since the last time he saw her.

Miranda had always felt betrayed by what she perceived as Gavin’s attempts to run. But three years after losing the man she loved because he was afraid to commit forced Miranda to take a hard look at what she really wanted-and Miranda did not want to be hurt again. But the pull between Miranda and Gavin was still strong until the day she discovers that perhaps he had planned on running again.

The relationship between Miranda and Gavin is filled with secrets and sorrow; competing rivalry and two people’s inability to talk about their feelings both past and present. A lack of communication threatens to destroy everything they had re-built and both had a habit of running whenever things became too tough. But to clear one misconception, I did not feel Gavin ran during one particular scene, but left so that Miranda had time to consider everything that had happened between them

If you are a fan of contemporary romance storylines with a HEA, Jennifer Probst and All the Way is your ticket to a lazy afternoon of romance and love. At times the couple were infuriating and stubborn, but in the end, love conquers all-even family members who should now better than to stick their nose in where it doesn’t belong.

The Marriage Mistake (Marriage to a Billionaire #3) by Jennifer Probst-a review

THE MARRIAGE MISTAKE (Marriage to a Billionaire #3) by Jennifer Probst

THE MARRIAGE MISTAKE is the third storyline (November 6, 2012 release) in Jennifer Probst’s Marriage to a Billionaire contemporary romance series. Although this storyline is part of a series, it could be read as a standalone with very little discomfort. This is Carina and Max’s story.

Carina Conte is a recent MBA grad with hopes of making a new life for herself in America. Coming from a strict family in Italy, Carina accepts her brother’s offer to work in the family bakery empire, but secretly hopes to get back to her first loves-painting and Maximus Gray. But Carina has not seen Max in several years, and hopes to prove to everyone that she has moved on with her life and her feelings. When Max broke her heart several years before, Carina swore she would never fall in love again, and was hoping to jump start her new life in America with a fling or a one night stand. What Carina did not count on was the sexual pull between she and Max. Hoping to discover Max’s true feelings, Carina played a dangerous game that would all fall apart following a one night stand with the man of her dreams.

Maximus Gray has always desired Carina, but as his best friend’s younger sister, Carina was strictly off-limits. Growing up like siblings, Max loved Carina and now that she a grown woman with curves to spare, Max felt the kick to his senses when he realized that maybe he had made a mistake with his hands-off policy. But a business trip to Vegas would find Carina and Max in a ‘compromising position’. To keep Mama Conte happy they reluctantly got married in the typical Vegas style and neither was very happy about the circumstances. Knowing that Max did not love her, Carina made the choice to walk away and try to discover what it was in life that she really wanted. And in the end-she wanted Max to love her with the same passion that she loved in return.

THE MARRIAGE MISTAKE is a contemporary romance with the usual drama of he loves me/he love me not and all of the angst that goes along with betrayal, rejection and the inability to admit you made a mistake. Maximus Gray is the typical alpha male with a bevy of females at his beck and call, but he secretly desires Carina with everything in his soul. Carina came to America to discover that she was still in love with Max, but was determined to push Max away because he would never be happy tied down with one woman. When they both realized they had made a mistake, it was too late. This storyline doesn’t top my all –time favorites, but for a quick read on a lazy Sunday afternoon-enjoy!!
