ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date May 15, 2018

Knox Price has always fallen short in comparison to his brothers. Boone is the ambitious one. Clay is the nice one. Gage is the handsome one. And Knox? Well, he’s the cynical one. The odd man out in the ultra-wealthy but rather unique Price family. It’s not that Knox hates people–it’s that humanity always disappoints him. When you become an oil-rich, Texan billionaire overnight, people treat you a certain way. Just once he’d like to meet someone that isn’t dazzled by his wallet.

Then, he meets struggling yoga teacher Lexi Brandon. She’s weird. She’s unpredictable and tends to say strange things. She lurks in the bushes and dresses in all black. She loves when people cross the street to get away from her. Lexi’s definitely not his type, but she’s also the first one to ever truly see him and not just another rich, dirty Price.

And that’s…fascinating. But how do you catch the interest of a woman who goes out of her way to be odd? When an unexpected surprise throws them both for a loop, Knox decides it’s time to get down and dirty, abandon the rules, and be who he truly is–a bastard.

REVIEW: DIRTY BASTARD is the third instalment in Jessica Clare’s contemporary, adult ROUGHNECK BILLIONAIRES erotic, romance series focusing on the rags to riches Price Brothers of Texas-Boone, Clay, Gage, Knox and Seth. This is billionaire oil-man Knox Price, and yoga instructor Lexi Brandon’s story line. DIRTY BASTARD can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: Some of the story line premise crosses-over and runs parallel to some of the events in book two DIRTY SCOUNDREL

Told from dual first person points of view (Knox and Lexi) DIRTY BASTARD follows the building relationship between billionaire oil-man Knox Price, and yoga instructor Lexi Brandon. At a get together with his brothers at Ivy and Boone’s (Dirty Money #1) Knox Price will come face to face with his future, a woman who defies his expectations and type but a woman whose secrets run deep and disturbing. Enter Lexi Brandon, the woman with whom Knox will fall in love but a woman who refuses to acknowledge a troubling threat.

Lexi Brandon is a bit of a quirky heroine who doesn’t want to draw attention to herself or her life. Ascerbic and ill-tempered, most people run rather than face our storyline heroine head on. Knox considers himself the family ‘bastard’ but most woman tend to throw themselves at the Price brothers due to their billionaire status as rich and available until meeting Lexi Brandon-a woman who did not want anything from the almighty Knox.

The relationship between Lexi and Knox is one of immediate attraction for our story line hero but Lexi has some issues that need to be addressed. Surly and combative Lexi’s need to be independent is both a threat and a hindrance to her personal safety. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate but once again, I struggle with the use of a certain four-letter word I feel is unnecessary in a romance story line.

The secondary and supporting characters include all of Knox’s brothers, their significant others (where revealed) as well as the small-minded and nosy people of a tiny town where everyone knows your name.

DIRTY BASTARD was a bit of struggle in that our heroine has a bit of a TSTL (too stupid to live) complex. Her inability or reluctance to ask for help is a struggle not only for the heroine but for this reader as well. When unwanted and unrequested help finally comes through Lexi runs as though the help is worse than the potential harm. The premise is engaging; the characters are colorful and dynamic but I struggled with the heroine’s personality and behavior; the romance is intimate and seductive.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date November 21 2017

Clay Price has everything he’s ever wanted, except the one thing money can’t buy—Natalie Weston. Years ago, Clay and Natalie were in love… until she turned down his marriage proposal. Now Clay and his brothers are oil-rich billionaires, and they can have whatever they want. And what Clay wants is Natalie in his bed, no matter what it takes. If it means being ruthless, he’ll do it.

Natalie gave up on true love years ago when the realities of the world destroyed her fairy-tale hopes. Giving up Clay is her biggest regret in life, and she’s excited to see him return… until she finds out why. Clay’s got one hell of a proposal for her: he’ll save her father’s business and bail Natalie out of debt if she’ll agree to become his very personal assistant. It’s clear that he wants more from her than just typing.

It’s also clear that Natalie has no choice. This scoundrel’s bet could destroy any hope they had of reconciliation—or it could bring them together once and for all.

REVIEW:  DIRTY SCOUNDREL is the second instalment in Jessica Clare’s contemporary adult ROUGHNECK BILLIONAIRES erotic, romance series focusing on the rags to riches Price Brothers of Texas-Boone, Clay, Gage, Knox and Seth. This is billionaire oil-man Clay Price, and Natalie Weston’s story line, DIRTY SCOUNDREL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Clay and Natalie) DIRTY SCOUNDREL follows the second chance romance between oil billionaire Clay Price and the woman who scorned our story line hero. Seven years earlier, high school sweetheart Natalie broke Clay’s heart after graduation when she sent her wealthy, movie star father to break up with the man she would always love. Fast forward to present day wherein Clay hopes to destroy the woman who pushed him out of her life but circumstances have changed and Clay sets about to seduce our heroine-in all the wrong ways. What ensues is the rekindling romance between Clay and Natalie, and the potential fall out as Clay’s lack of social finesse, and ‘open mouth insert foot’ actions hurt the woman he has never stopped loving.

Clay Price is desperate to break Natalie Weston. Told by Natalie’s father he would never be good enough for his princess daughter, Clay battled between head and heart. For seven years Clay has plotted his retribution and revenge against the woman that called to his heart but everything is about to backfire as Clay sets his plans into motion forcing a desperate and despondent Natalie to sign over her life. Natalie Weston has struggled since the day she pushed Clay Price out of her life. With her ailing father demanding all of her time, no money in the bank, and the creditors howling at the door, Natalie will accept Clay’s dangerous proposal even though it means setting herself up for further heartbreak and humiliation at the hands of the man she once loved.

The relationship between Natalie and Clay is one of second chances; a rekindling romance between high school sweethearts that was destroyed by the petty vindictiveness of an old man h*ll bent on controlling his young daughter’s life. It’s all about money and fame, and Clay Price had neither to offer the Hollywood star’s daughter. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate but I continue to struggle with the use of a certain four-letter word in romance story lines. Although we give words their power, I find the term is derogatory under all circumstances.

Clay’s treatment and demands of our story line heroine are reprehensible under the circumstances. Heartbroken and in pain, Clay continues to push at the woman who destroyed his heart making her feel more like a whore than the woman he loves. The contract demands everything in return for saving what’s left of Natalie’s home and her father’s life.

All of Clay’s brothers play secondary and supporting roles including Boone and Ivy (Dirty Money #1), Gage, Knox and Seth. We are also introduced to Natalie’s father- a man whose own fame and fortune was lost to greed, avarice, six ex-wives and illness. The oil business is dangerous and dirty-lives will be lost-some more heartbreaking than others.

DIRTY SCOUNDREL is an enemies to lovers/second chance story line between two people destroyed by one man’s ego and pride. The premise is engaging; the romance is controversial; the characters are dynamic and charismatic.

About the book: Release Date January 17, 2017

Boone Price and his brothers know oil; at least, the dirty, backbreaking side of working an oil rig. But when their scrubby, worthless hunting land turns out to be sitting on top of one of the biggest oil wells in North America, they go from the rig to the boardroom and end up billionaires practically overnight.

Now with enough money to do whatever he wants, Boone is developing a taste for fine things. And the finest thing he’s ever seen is Ivy Smithfield, local realtor. Boone’s determined to buy her affection and show the world that he’s more than just a dirty fool with a bit of money. Ivy’s classy and beautiful – she’ll make the perfect trophy wife. The fact that she’s sexy and funny is just a bonus.

There’s one tiny problem – Ivy’s as dirt poor as Boone is. Her carefully crafted veneer of luxury? All an act to promote her business. What’s Boone going to do when he finds out the woman he’s falling for is, well, in his league?

•••••••••••••

REVIEW: DIRTY MONEY is the first installment in Jessica Clare’s contemporary adult ROUGHNECK BILLIONAIRES erotic, romance series focusing on the rags to riches Price Brothers of Texas. This is realtor Ivy Smithfield, and billionaire oil man Boone Price’s story line.

Told from dual first person points of view (Boone and Ivy) DIRTY MONEY focuses on the building relationship between ‘rough around the edges’ billionaire oil man Boone Price, and realtor Ivy Smithfield. Boone is a self-made man who struck it rich in the oil fields of West Texas; and a man who doesn’t care about appearances or his public persona but when a real estate flyer featuring the beautiful and sexy Ivy Smithfield comes into his possession our hero is determined to find the woman that calls to his heart. What ensues is Boone’s ‘in your face’ attempts at seduction, and Ivy’s struggle to keep secret her past.

Boone Price wants to become a better man: he has billions of dollars, plenty of land, and an oil company that continues to grow but what he doesn’t have is a beautiful house, a beautiful woman or the pedigree to woo Ivy Smithfield. Boone’s billionaire status lacks the respect he believes he deserves; his over the top reactions push the boundaries of civility and the norm. Ivy is a young, single woman raising her younger sister but a woman who hides the truth about her background and from where she comes. Boone’s persistent attempts soon break down our heroine’s defenses but she refuses to reveal anything about her past or her struggles to make ends meet. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and provocative. Boone’s ‘lumberjack’ beard enhances Ivy’s sexual pleasure.

We are introduced to Ivy’s sister Wynonna- a young woman about to enter her first year of college, and one of Ivy’s co-workers and fellow struggling realtors Farah; Boone’s brothers Gage, Knox, Clay, and Seth –all of whom have a share of Price Brothers Oil. The requisite evil comes from the Three Jacks Real Estate –Ivy’s bosses –and the men who continue to remind Ivy from where she comes.

The world building follows the growing love between Boone and Ivy, and the distinct differences between the haves and the have-nots. Ivy struggles to make ends meet to the detriment of her own health; her pride keeps our heroine from asking for help, while Boone is willing to give her anything she wants including a happily ever after.

DIRTY MONEY reminds me a bit of the movie ‘Giant’ starring James Dean, Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson among many other notable actors and actress of the time. James Dean’s character Jett Rink goes from rags to riches but is unable to earn the respect of his fellow millionaires. Respect must be earned not bought; the past is always part of one’s present. The premise is playful; the characters are energetic and animated; the romance is passionate and seductive. I am looking forward to the Price brother’s story lines.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date November 15, 2016

Someone’s out to ruin Gretchen’s happy-ever-after on the eve before the big day. Can she trust Hunter, the man she’s given her heart to? And can she rely on her sister Daphne (the least reliable person of all!) to help her salvage things? Or is this marriage going to go down in flames before Gretchen and Hunter ever get to the altar?

••••••••••

REVIEW: BEAUTY AND THE BILLIONAIRE: The Wedding by Jessica Clare is a novella length story line in the Billionaire Boys Club series focusing on the Christmas wedding preparations one week prior to Gretchen Petty and Hunter Buchanan’s wedding. The months leading up to the wedding have been highlighted in Jessica Clare’s spin off series-Billionaires and Bridesmaids that focused on several of the wedding party attendants for the upcoming nuptials. BEAUTY AND THE BILLIONAIRE-The Wedding also follows the building relationship between Gretchen and Audrey’s prodigal sister Daphne Petty, and her personal trainer Wes.

Told from several third person points of view we are witness to Gretchen’s meltdown as her wedding day approaches. From a series of baking mishaps, a winter snowstorm, and a potential blackmail scheme, Gretchen believes her wedding day is cursed. With the return of Daphne things go from bad to worse as the trio of sisters begin to butt heads about Daphne’s sudden appearance.

BEAUTY AND THE BILLIONAIRE: The Wedding is the culmination of several story lines and two series, and months of preparations for Gretchen and Hunter’s wedding. The reader has been up close and personal as the bridesmaids and groomsmen have come and gone never quite sure who will be standing with the bride and groom. The premise is entertaining and a whirlwind of activity but a little anti-climactic with the resulting story line due in part to the massive buildup throughout the series-I was expecting a more extravagant and detailed story. The characters are colorful and familiar; the romance is limited as the relationship has already been established. The lone scene of sexual activity is mostly implied. With the addition of Daphne and Wes, I am going to presume there is another story line in the future and The Wedding is the vehicle of introduction.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 20, 2016

Taylor is a genius when it comes to computers, but understanding the opposite sex is beyond her. Because she always fumbles her flirtations, she needs help in finding her Prince Charming. So when her friend, Gretchen, sets her up as a tour guide for a new guy in town, she says yes despite her misgivings.

She just doesn’t expect Mr. Charming to actually be royalty…

A faction in his country wants him to be king, but Loch has no intention of taking the crown. To keep from being named as the next successor, he hatches a scheme to marry a totally unacceptable American woman. Quirky Taylor seems like the perfect person for the job, until Loch realizes he likes more about her than her ability to keep him off the throne.

When Loch’s secret schemes come out, his chance of happiness with Taylor are blown—unless he can find a way to get the nerdy object of his affection to believe she’s truly the queen of his heart..

•••••••••

REVIEW: BILLIONAIRE ON THE LOOSE is the fifth installment in Jessica Clare’s contemporary adult Billionaire and Bridesmaids romance series -a spin off from her best selling Billionaire Boys Club series-that will focus on the wedding party attendants for the upcoming nuptials of Gretchen and Hunter (Billionaire Boys Club #2). This is IT consultant and online gamer Taylor, and Griffin Verdi’s (Billionaire Boys Club 4) cousin Bellissime Baron Loch delle Scogliere’s story line. BILLIONAIRE ON THE LOOSE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.

Told from dual third person points of view (Taylor and Loch) BILLIONAIRE ON THE LOOSE follows Baron Loch-sixth in line to the Bellissime throne- and just one of many cousins who refuse to accept their royal heritage and potential succession to the throne. The Queen is ready to step aside and couldn’t agree more that Loch is the least likely to ascend to the throne. To ensure Loch is hidden from the public and media scrutiny, our hero is sent to America while his cousin Princess Alexandra (Billionaire Boys Club 3.5) tries to conceive. Enter IT consultant and total klutz Taylor- the woman who will steal Baron Loch’s heart. What ensues is Loch’s seduction of Taylor, and Taylor’s struggles with an online stalker who uses everything in his repertoire to emotionally blackmail our story line heroine.

As an aside: The entire ‘online stalker’ subplot is questionable and disconcerting from so many angles- I am struggling with the heroine’s actions and reactions to the entire scenario.

The relationship between Loch and Taylor is one of immediate attraction. As a European royal Loch has never had to do anything for himself and discovers that he is ill-prepared for the real world and everything it has to offer. Loch is a sexy, blonde god of a man that attracts attention wherever he goes. Taylor is voluptuous, beautiful female whose klutziness is phenomenal leading to all sorts of personal injuries and potential hazards. As the story line develops our heroine finds herself falling for a man whose intent is to use whatever means possible to walk away from his birthright and the Bellissime throne. The $ex scenes are seductive and provocative but I did not feel the connection between our story line couple. Taylor has no intentions beyond a one-night stand- she is obsessed with her online gaming and has little time for anything else. Her gaming obsession (or addiction) controls and interferes with every aspect of her life; and Loch’s intentions are rife with betrayal and lies. Loch is a man who has yet to exert his independence and stumbles several times as he seeks his way in the USofA.

BILLIONAIRE ON THE LOOSE is another opposites attract story line –a billionaire Baron and the bumbling, klutzy, foul-mouthed heroine. Jessica Clare has used the same female formula several times throughout both of the series and I was hoping for a change up from the low-born, loud, and obnoxious bride who is more than a cartoon caricature of American clichés-sometimes change is good and I would welcome another well-educated, successful woman holding her own against one of the billionaire boys. The premise is entertaining ; the characters are determined and energetic; the romance is intimate but perplexing- I struggle with any emotional connection.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date June 21, 2016

Greer has always been there for Asher, but she wishes she could break through her shyness and show how much she truly loves him. But after a steamy, mindless fling at Hunter and Gretchen’s engagement party, Greer finds herself tossed aside and forced to admit that you can’t love someone who doesn’t acknowledge you exist.

It’s a shame he got her pregnant.

After his fiancée betrayed him and tanked his business in one fell swoop, Asher has spent his time trying to rebuild his wealth and forget the past. But he doesn’t understand why Greer blew him off after their night together—until he catches a glimpse of her belly.

Now Asher is willing to do whatever it takes to convince Greer she belongs with him. And he’s very skilled at the art of persuasion.

•••••••••

REVIEW: THE BILLIONAIRE’S FAVORITE MISTAKE is the fourth installment in Jessica Clare’s contemporary, adult BILLIONAIRES AND BRIDESMAIDS erotic, romance series-a spin off from her Billionaire Boys Club series. This is billionaire businessman Asher Sutton, and wedding planner Greer Chadha-Janssen. THE BILLIONAIRE’S FAVORITE MISTAKE can be read as a stand alone; many of the previous story lines and original series characters play secondary and supporting roles as much of the series premise focuses on Hunter and Gretchen’s (Beauty and the Billionaire/Billionaire Bad Boys #2) upcoming nuptials.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Greer and Asher) follows the tumultuous relationship between our leading couple. Greer has been in love with Asher since first year of college, but Asher has only had eyes for the one that betrayed his heart. A costume party, Greer’s ill-fated attempt to seduce Asher, and a drunken fling finds our heroine pregnant with Asher’s baby, and Asher having no memory of what happened or why. What ensues are Asher’s attempts to reconcile with his best friend but making too many mistakes along the way. When Asher is unable to convince Greer that he regrets everything he has said and done, our hero makes a deal with the devil that backfires one too many times.

Asher is a bit of a ‘douche’; there is nothing redeeming about the man including his attempts to ‘woo’ Greer back into his life-everything he does is based upon a lie and manipulation of circumstances, and in this Asher is in need of a major overhaul in the romance department when it comes to women and their hearts. Greer, is a bit naïve and immature; an innocent who has fallen in love with the wrong man, but a man that has called to her heart for too many years. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense if you ignore their initial drunken $ex fiasco.

A number of the previous story lines female characters play secondary and supporting roles as the ‘bridesmaids’ prepare for Hunter and Gretchen’s wedding. Greer is Gretchen’s wedding planner, but her pregnancy, and an ‘emergency fake wedding’ have caught our heroine by surprise.

THE BILLIONAIRE’S FAVORITE MISTAKE is an emotional read. Our heroine’s lack of self esteem continues to spiral out of control with Asher’s numerous attempts apologize and make things right. Because Greer can no longer trust our story line hero, she is in constant emotional pain with the loss of her best friend and the man that she once loved— but— to add fuel to the fire, Greer disappears after their one night stand, and refuses to acknowledge Asher’s existence for several months and in this perpetuates the negative reactions between herself and Asher Sutton. The premise is fateful; the characters are passionate and somewhat idealistic; the romance is a struggle towards a happily ever after.

Excerpt

When the group started to disperse into partying again, he got out of his chair and moved toward Greer’s table, stalking her. He saw her heading off with one of the waitstaff and jogged to catch up. “Greer!”
She turned and her face paled at the sight of him. Her mouth firmed into an angry line of distaste, and then she picked up her skirts and continued to walk away.
Yeah, he was definitely on the shit list.
That didn’t deter him, though. Asher headed after her, following her into the house and catching up despite her efforts to hurry. “Hey, wait up. I think we need to talk.”
“I have nothing to say to you, Asher.” She didn’t turn to look at him.
He reached out and clasped her arm, noting how warm her skin was, and how soft. And damn it all if he didn’t start to get another inappropriate boner. His body really needed to learn to calm the fuck down. “Just give me five minutes of your time, all right? Then I’ll leave you alone.”
She exchanged a look with the waitress, and then nodded at her. “I’ll be inside in a minute. Go ahead.” When the woman left, Greer sighed and turned back to him, smoothing a stray lock of hair back behind her ear. “What is it, Asher? I’m very busy tonight with the party.”
“I can imagine. This is a terrific party. I should have known you were behind it.” He knew she’d done weddings for some top-notch clients in New York and always took her job extremely seriously. Of course she’d put on a spectacular party for her father. “Listen. I feel like the last time we saw each other, we . . . well, we fucked up.”
Her eyebrows went up.
Shit. That was apparently the wrong thing to say. “I mean, it was a fuckup, but not that fucking you was a mistake.” God, where was his suaveness when he needed it? Why was he all diarrhea of the mouth when it came to Greer? He could sweet talk anyone, but the moment he came close to her, he babbled like a schoolboy. “Not that I think we should have fucked, of course. We’re friends, and friends don’t sleep with each other. Not if they want to stay friends. And you’ve been avoiding me. We haven’t had our Mondays in the last few months.”
“No, we haven’t.”
“It doesn’t have to be Mondays, you know. It can be any other day. Or it doesn’t have to be lunch. It can be anytime you need it to be if your schedule is all screwed.” He frowned to himself. “I should probably stop saying the word screwed, shouldn’t I?”
Her arms crossed over her chest, pressing her dress tighter against her body. “Is this conversation going somewhere, Asher? Like I said, I’m very busy tonight.”
Greer’s tits looked magnificent in that dress, he realized. They’d been small, perfect handfuls the night they’d slept together and now they seemed . . . doubly abundant. “Did you get a boob job?”
Her eyes narrowed imperceptibly. “I need to go.”
Fuck, why did he say that? “Sorry. It’s none of my business. Listen.” He reached out and grabbed her elbow when she turned to leave, stopping her. “The reason why I wanted to talk to you tonight is because I was behaving like an ass that night. I was drunk and I wasn’t myself. I was just lost in misery and in booze, and if I’d been thinking straight, I would have never dragged you off to the gardens and slept with you.” And damn if that didn’t sound all wrong, too. “Not because you’re not attractive, Greer. You are.”
“You’re not winning me over, Asher.” Her voice sounded hard. “Did you truly come to this party just to tell me that you find me repulsive and you wouldn’t have slept with me if you were sober?”
“What? No, that’s not what I meant at all. You’re hot. I mean, hell, you look smoking hot in that dress tonight.” She was all lush curves, which was surprising given that his memories of her were of her daintiness. But her body had changed in the last couple of months. And something about that was bothering him. “I just . . . don’t think we should have done that. As friends.”
“On that, I agree completely. May I go now?”
Why wasn’t she thawing toward him? He remembered Greer as all soft, shy smiles for him. They’d been friends, good friends. The cool, remote stranger in front of him . . . well, it reminded him of Stijn and the politely disinterested-because-you-are-dirt-to-me expression he wore at all times. “I just . . . you’re a good friend and I don’t want to lose you.”
“We can’t change what happened, Asher.” She hadn’t thawed an inch. One of the waitstaff moved nearby with an enormous cake, and she delicately sidestepped on the path to allow them more room. As she did, the long hem of her skirt got caught in a nearby bush and pulled taut against her body, outlining a slightly rounded stomach.
Asher’s eyes widened as realization struck him. “Greer . . . are you pregnant?”
She bit her lip and averted her gaze.

Oh fuck. She was pregnant.
“Is it . . . Is it mine?”
She looked back up again. Her eyes narrowed. She crooked her finger at him, indicating he should lean down. He did—
—And she delivered a ringing slap to his face.

HIS ROYAL PRINCESS (Billionaire Boys Club 3.5) by Jessica Clare-a review

His Royal Princess

$1.99 ebook: Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / B&N / KOBO /

About the book: Release Date April 19, 2016

Their romance led to a royal wedding in Once Upon a Billionaire. Now see how it all began for Princess Alexandra of Bellissime and American actor Luke Houston in this novella from New York Times bestselling author Jessica Clare.

As heir to the throne of Bellissime, Princess Alexandra is supposed to be cool and calm…not crushing on a movie star. When she hears that Luke Houston is filming a scene for his next movie in her tiny country, however, she can’t resist sneaking onto set to get a glimpse of the Hollywood hunk.

When Alex is almost caught on set by the press, she ducks into the first available hiding place—only to find herself in Luke’s private trailer, and getting much more than just a glimpse of him. It’s an up close and personal encounter that sets her heart aflutter, and sets her mind on some very unladylike plans to get to know him better…

••••••••••

REVIEW: HIS ROYAL PRINCESS by Jessica Clare is a prequel novella in the BILLIONAIRE BOYS CLUB adult, contemporary, romance series. HIS ROYAL PRINCESS falls in the timeline before Once Upon A Billionaire (book 4) and follows the relationship between American actor Luke Houston, and twenty eight year old Princess Alexandra of Bellissme. Alexandra (Viscount Griffin’s cousin) and Luke were first introduced to the reader in book four. HIS ROYAL PRINCESS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.

Told from dual third person perspectives HIS ROYAL PRINCESS focuses on Princess Alexandra’s ‘crush’ on American actor Luke Houston. While Luke is filming his latest movie in Bellissme, Princess Alexandra finds herself on the set, hoping for a chance to meet her favorite actor. What ensues is the forbidden but building relationship between a member of the Bellissme Royal family, and one of America’s most popular actors.

HIS ROYAL PRINCESS is a sweet and simple read. The relationship is a quick build between two people whose lifestyles are utterly different but a relationship built upon trust and love. But an innocent comment by a member of Houston’s team, finds the Princess heartbroken and wanting to run from the man that she loves.

The $ex scenes are limited; there is no graphic sexual language or over the top sexual situations. The story line is quite tame and reads somewhere between YA and NA. The character building is limited-the story line focuses on the current relationship and not the past. There is very little anxiety, angst or conflict-Jessica’s usual writing style feels absent as though someone else wrote the story.

REVIEW: THE BILLIONAIRE TAKES A BRIDE is the third installment in Jessica Clare’s contemporary, adult BILLIONAIRES AND BRIDESMAIDS erotic, romance series-a spin off from her Billionaire Boys Club Series that will focus on the upcoming nuptials of the Billionaire Boys and the women that they love. This is billionaire Sebastian Cabral, and derby girl Chelsea Hall’s storyline. THE BILLIONAIRE TAKES A BRIDE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty-any important information from previous storylines is revealed where necessary. Several characters from the original series cross over as Gretchen (Beauty and the Billionaire ) begins a series of parties aimed at matchmaking her bridesmaids with potential future husbands.

Told from dual third person perspectives THE BILLIONAIRE TAKES A BRIDE follows Sebastian Cabral as he stays hidden from the media while his extended family lives and breathes their own reality TV show wherein his meddling mother pushes an ex-girlfriend towards Sebastian in the hopes of higher ratings. But an accidental meeting between Chelsea and Sebastian at Gretchen’s pre-wedding party finds Sebastian making Chelsea an offer she can’t refuse-a marriage of platonic convenience to keep the paparazzi at bay, and his mother off his back. What ensues is a building relationship between Chelsea and Sebastian- but a relationship that finds Chelsea hiding secrets about her past that control almost every aspect of her present. Chelsea’s fear of the dark is only the tip of the iceberg as it pertains to her physical and emotional health. Sebastian is a very patient man when it comes to his wife’s fears as he endeavors to take things slow so not to add fuel to an already volatile situation.

The relationship between Chelsea and Sebastian is loving as our heroine tries to work through her demons, and her dark past that has left Chelsea emotionally fragile in certain aspects of her life. The $ex scenes are provocative, loving and seductive. Sebastian is more of a beta male who never forces or coerces his lover into anything she does not want to do; he is supportive, patient, and loving.

THE BILLIONAIRE TAKES A BRIDE has a large ensemble cast of characters including Chelsea’s roller derby team; her best friend Pisa; and several of the bridesmaids and groomsmen we met in the previous series. We are introduced to Sebastian’s mother- a throw back to Chris Jenner and her ‘momager’ ways of controlling the family and the unreality of reality TV. Sebastian’s ex plays a small role to add a bit of conflict to his life with Chelsea.

There are moments of fun and flirtation; drama and tension; heartbreak and moving forward. The premise is entertaining with a little bit of everything-romance, $ex, fun, betrayal, heartbreak and love. The characters are relatable, charismatic and familiar. Jessica Clare takes the reader on one couple’s journey from strangers to lovers in the blink of an eye-where the happily ever after is a promise for the future.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 21, 2015

Edie’s an overbearing cat behaviorist who’s not big on people. Magnus is a newly-rich game developer who likes to be in control. When the two of them meet at Gretchen and Hunter’s masquerade engagement party, the loathing is mutual. Unfortunately for them—and everyone else—they’re in the wedding party together and must deal with each other for the next few months.

But when Magnus’s younger brother falls for Edie’s sister, he begs for his brother’s help in concocting a plan to win her over. If Magnus can keep the prickly Edie occupied, his brother will have time to woo Edie’s sister. Of course, Magnus isn’t interested in the slightest, but Edie is…intriguing. And stubborn. And smart. And sexy. And they might have more in common than they thought.

Before long, it becomes a challenge between the two of them to see who will be tamed first. But how’s Edie going to react when she finds out that Magnus is using her? And how’s Magnus going to handle the fact that he’s fallen for a cat lady?

REVIEW: THE TAMING OF THE BILLIONAIRE is the second installment in Jessica Clare’s adult, contemporary Billionaires and Bridesmaids-a spinoff series from her Billionaire Boys Club erotic, romance series -that will focus on the upcoming nuptials of the Billionaire Boys and the women that they love. Many of Jessica’s Billionaire premises have a fairy tale or Shakespearean-esque quality to the story. This is billionaire video game producer/inventor Magnus Sullivan, and feline behaviorist Edie King’s storyline. THE TAMING OF THE BILLIONAIRE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.

Told from dual third person perspectives THE TAMING OF THE BILLIONAIRE follows the building relationship between Magnus and Edie. Edie and Magnus are first introduced at Gretchen and Hunter’s (Beauty and the Billionaire) engagement party, and everything went downhill from there; but when Edie’s sister Bianca, and Magnus’s brother Levi wanted to keep their own relationship a secret from Edie, Magnus is pushed into seducing Edie to allow her sister some alone time with Levi Sullivan. What ensues are Magnus’s plans to keep Edie occupied, never intending to fall in love with the hard nosed, out spoken, and physically damaged cat whisperer.

Edie is not very well liked by most of the storyline characters. She has had to endure years of pain and heartbreak, and has developed a rather acerbic personality to help her overcome everything that has gone wrong. An accident, years earlier, has left Edie scarred and in constant pain, and her sister Bianca, has been by her side the entire time. But things are not always as they appear on the surface-Edie and Bianca’s relationship is a co-dependency that hurts our storyline heroine.

Magnus, along with his brother Levi, are self-made billionaires in the world of computer gaming. But Magnus struggles with Levi’s lack of dedication to his work, and Levi’s inability to stay focused-in this, the sibling dynamics is less than conducive to a successful partnership. Like Edie and Bianca’s relationship, there is something darker beneath the surface.

Many, if not all, of the Billionaire Bad Boys couples play a secondary and supporting role throughout the story. We are also introduced to several potential and upcoming storyline characters in the form of Hunter’s groomsmen and Gretchen’s bridesmaids who may or may not have already hooked up in one way or another 😉 . Edie’s sister Bianca cannot be trusted; and Magnus’s brother Levi is a piece of work.

THE TAMING OF THE BILLIONAIRE is an entertaining retelling of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew. There are moments of heartbreak and sorrow; romance and love; family and friends blended with lighthearted teasing and intense pain. The characters are charismatic and animated; the romance emotional and seductive; the happily ever after is inspiring and inventive. Jessica Clare’s billionaire storylines are a go-to read every time.
