ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date April 9, 2018

Some lives end unfinished, and some transcend time.

After a horrific incident, Swayze finds herself trapped between two lives. Patchy memories and fear for her own safety thrust her into a gut-wrenching journey to uncover the truth.

Will she let her dreams slip away to seek retribution and find the missing pieces to a puzzle that existed a lifetime ago?

“I’m not going to watch you self-destruct. I’m not going to watch you fall in love with another man.”

Or will she discover the only truth that matters?

Epoch pushes the boundaries of what we believe and what we know. It redefines fate and proves that the only thing separating the heart and the soul is an infinite timeline.

“I think a part of you will be mine to love in every life.”

REVIEW: EPOCH is the second and final instalment in Jewel E Ann’s contemporary, adult THE TRANSCEND DUET slightly paranormal, romance storyline focusing on thirty-six year old widower and single father Professor Nathaniel Hunt, twenty-one year old nanny Swayze Samuels, and twenty-three year old mechanic Griffin Calloway. EPOCH should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events of book one TRANSCEND.

Told from three first person perspectives (Swayze, Griffin and Nate) EPOCH is the heart breaking, emotional and gripping conclusion to a story about one woman’s struggle with memories from the past. Swayze Samuels is a woman caught between the present and the past: the love of a man who offers her the future, and the acceptance of a man who goes looking for the past. As Swayze’s mind transcends time, fate follows a different path as our heroine battles the pull of what was, and what is going to be.

EPOCH is the story of soul-mates; of a a soul that is restless, caught between worlds, hoping to uncover the truth about the how and why. Swayze is a young woman in love with the man of her dreams, but another man keeps possession of her heart, a heart she no longer is able to control. Griffin pushes Swayze to make a decision, a decision that will destroy her in the end, as Nate needs something more than a ghost from the past.

Jewel E Ann writes an enchanting, inspiring and astonishing tale about love, life, moving forward, and letting go of the past. A complex and intoxicating story about reincarnation, acceptance, forgiveness and the catastrophic affects of life-altering decisions that are unable to destroy a pure and lasting love. EPOCH is the breath-taking, climactic and powerful conclusion –a roller coaster ride of numbing emotions- as one woman transcends between the present and the past.

He removes his helmet and his bandana while I slide off the Harley. I could watch him all day. The meticulous way he puts our helmets on the shelf and wipes the bugs off his bike mesmerizes me. Griffin takes care of everything he owns—the new shiny things as well as the old, weathered things like his house and garage.
“I think you’re an old soul, Griffin Calloway.”
He hangs the rag on the hook and shoots me his sexiest grocery-store-guy smile. “Why is that?”
“My parents used to tell people I was wise beyond my years because I knew stuff most kids my age didn’t know. That was just knowledge, random facts, not wisdom. But you … you have an appreciation for things and you take care of them like someone twice your age might do.”
“My parents always took care of things. They still do. It’s just how I was raised.” He shrugs.
“No. Hayley and Sophie are complete disasters. I’ve seen their rooms. Chloe is a little tidier but still not you. I don’t think you were conditioned to be this way, I think it’s nature more than nurture.”
“An old soul, huh? From another time?” He pulls me into his chest and nuzzles my neck while lifting me off my feet.
I hug him with my arms, legs, and entire being. It took twenty-one years, but I finally found where I fit in life, and it’s every inch of my body pressed to his.
“You make me feel safe,” I murmur but it sounds more like a moan warring between physical pleasure and emotional pain. It’s an unsettling feeling that I have such a strong need to feel safe. I don’t understand it.
“You are safe,” he says between kisses beneath my ear.
“You make me feel like I belong.” My breaths race to catch up to my pulse.
“You belong with me.” He walks us to the garage door, shuts off the light, and closes the door behind us.
He’s my mind’s favorite place to go. When I think of him—of us—I don’t feel crazy. And maybe I should feel crazy because we’re both young and inexperienced in life and love. But I don’t want to think about the numbers that make up our ages or the months we’ve been together.
We crash through the front door like the first big gust of wind at the front of a storm.
“You make me feel needed,” I whisper just before his mouth claims mine.
His house is bigger than my apartment, but only by one bedroom. We don’t make it to either bedroom. He deposits me on the sofa and shrugs off his shirt.
“I need you.” He unties his boots and kicks them off while unfastening his pants as I shimmy out of my clothes. “In fact, I am pretty fucking sure you’re all I truly need.”
Twenty-three-year-old guys don’t say that. His soul is not simply old, it’s ancient like that of a great poet … who may have said fuck a few times.
I tug at his partially unfastened jeans.
He grabs my hand. “Close your eyes.”
“Why?” My head cocks to the side.
“Because I know you don’t want to see the tattoo on my ass.”
“Shut. Up.” I bat his hand away and tug down his jeans with both hands. A few moments of silence settle between us as I stare at his form before me. “I still blush when I look at you.” My gaze trails up to meet his eyes.
Griffin steps out of his jeans and briefs and kneels on the sofa between my legs as I lie back. “I know what else makes you blush.” He slowly dips his head between my legs, and my fingers curl into the sofa cushion.

About the book: Release Date March 26, 2018

“In another life, she was my forever.”

An unexpected tragedy leaves Professor Nathaniel Hunt a widower alone with a newborn baby.

He hires a nanny. She’s young, but well-qualified, with a simple life, a crazy name obsession, and a boyfriend she met at the grocery store.

Over time, he discovers she knows things about him—things that happened before she was born—like a hidden scar on his head, his favorite pizza, and how he cheated on a high school Spanish test.

She speaks familiar words and shares haunting memories that take him back to over two decades earlier when he lost his best friend in a tragic accident.

“I’m afraid of what’s going to happen when you realize I’m not her.”

Transcend is a sexy, mind-bending journey that uncovers possibilities, challenges beliefs, and begets the age-old question: is there life after death?

••••••••••••

REVIEW:  Originally released as the author’s exclusive newsletter serial TRANSCEND is the first instalment in Jewel E Ann’s contemporary adult THE TRANSCEND DUET slightly paranormal, romance storyline focusing on thirty-six year old widower and single father Professor Nathaniel Hunt, twenty-one year old nanny Swayze Samuels, and twenty-three year old mechanic Griffin Calloway.

Told from first person point of view (Swayze Samuels) TRANSCEND follows our heroine, Swayze Samuels as she traverses through the minefield that has become her life. Somewhat of a ‘savant’ Swayze has the ability to recall events that happened before she was born, in and around Madison Wisconsin, as though she has experienced these events first hand. Meeting Professor Nathaniel Hunt, a widower and single father, who has lost two people in his life, has our heroine focusing on someone else’s life-a life that ended all too soon. As the professor’s new nanny Swayze begins to recall a life between Nathaniel and the young girl he once loved, a girl who died tragically before her time. What ensues is the building relationship between Nathaniel and Swayze-a relationship based upon memories of the past.

Jewel E Ann pulls the reader into a story of past memories; love and loss; betrayal and heartbreak. As Griffin looks towards the future with the woman he loves, Swayze continues to focus on the memories of someone else. TRANSCEND follows a path that treads dangerously close love triangle territory-a territory that invokes all sorts of volatile emotions for this prolific reader. Swayze is a young woman who has fallen in love with mechanic Griffin Calloway but her attraction to Nate, whether emotional, physical or transcendental, is propagated upon their mutual love for Nate’s infant daughter; their shared memories of a time before Swayze was born, and one man’s need to reclaim the past.

TRANSCEND is a wonderful, thought-provoking, awe-inspiring story line that I fear may lead to a broken heart. The premise is inventive and original; the characters are colorful, imaginative and engaging. Jewel E Ann pulls the reader into a story line that straddles the line between reality and fantasy; a heartbreaking tale of one man’s struggle to move forward, and one woman’s emotional connection to someone else’s past. TRANSCEND ends on a cliff-hanger-you have been warned.

Flint Hopkins finds the perfect tenant to rent the space above his Minneapolis-based law office.

All the t’s are crossed and i’s dotted on Ellen’s application. Her references are good. And she’s easy on the eyes.

Until …

Flint discovers Ellen Rodgers, Board-Certified Music Therapist, plays music. Bongos, guitars, singing—not Beethoven administered through noise-cancelling headphones.

The cut-throat attorney serves up an eviction notice to the bubbly, constantly humming redhead who’s too sexy for her own good. But luck is on Ellen’s side when Flint’s autistic son, Harrison, takes an instant liking to her. A single dad can’t compete with guitars—and rats. Yes, she has pet rats.

This woman …

She’s annoyingly happy with a constant need to touch him—adjust his tie, button his shirt, invade his space, and mess with his mind.

Still …

She must go.

Their lust-hate relationship escalates into something beautiful and tragic. This sexy, romantic-comedy explores the things we want, the things we need, and the impossible decisions parents and children make to survive.

REVIEW: LOOK THE PART by Jewel E. Ann is a contemporary, adult, stand alone, erotic romance story line focusing on thirty five year old high-powered attorney and single father Flint Hopkins, and thirty two year old music therapist Ellen Rodgers.

Told from dual first person points of view (Ellen and Flint) LOOK THE PART follows the antagonistic relationship between attorney Flint Hopkins, and music therapist Ellen Rodgers- a woman who pushes all of Flint’s buttons when he discovers that his new office tenant is a music therapist whose clients play a little too loud for his own peace of mind. Intending to evict his new tenant Flint finds himself falling for the woman who has captured his twelve –year old son’s heart. For weeks Flint and Elle will go head to head in a battle of wills and palpable sexual attraction until Elle is called home for a family emergency. What ensues is the push and pull of a building relationship between a man whose demons continue to knock at the door, and one woman whose own history of love is marred by the memories of pain and broken love.

Flint Hopkins is a single father to his autistic twelve-year old son Harrison-a high functioning autistic young man with Asperger’s syndrome, whose high level intelligence tends to interfere in normal everyday life. Harrison struggles with the world but finding a kindred spirit in Elle Rodgers’ and her family of rats, Harrison begins to show promise in his musical abilities but his father’s continuous need to push Elle away begin to interfere in their daily lives. Flint Hopkins is a man with a past that haunts his very existence; survivor’s remorse and a sense of guilt that eats away at his ability to love until Ellen Rodgers enters his life.

Ellen Rodgers is a spunky, sassy female lead who finds herself falling for a man broken by the past; a man who believes he is unworthy of love; and a man whose grief and guilt eat away one memory at a time.

The relationship between Elle and Flint is one of immediate attraction that is tempered by Flint’s inability to accept Ellie and all that she is. Elle is a tactile kind of person who likes to touch and be touched but Flint is a man whose walls do not allow for the closeness he once desired. Broken and battered, Flint goes through the motions until Elle enters his life. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to Elle’s father Jonathan Anderson-a retired tailor; Elle’s friend and hospital co-worker / Flint’s neighbour Dr. Abigail Hamilton: Flint’s son Harrison Hopkins; his parents Gene and Camilla; and Flint’s all-knowing and long-suffering PA Amanda.

LOOK THE PART has a little bit of everything: romance, love, heartbreak, loss, emotional pain, passion and a happily ever after. The premise is inviting, wondrous and inspiring; the romance is captivating, emotional and energetic; the characters are spirited, playful, courageous and real. Jewel E Ann has an amazing talent telling stories that will resonate long after the book is closed.

There’s something thrilling, even a little forbidden, about a man in a perfectly-tailored suit. Flint Hopkins wears the hell out of a three-piece suit.
Not a single wrinkle.
Not a hair out of place.
Not a scuff mark on his shiny shoes.
His lips move, but all I hear is “I wore this suit for you today” as his hands make their rounds: caressing the buttons on his jacket, twisting his cufflinks, and adjusting his tie. It’s sophisticated fidgeting.
“You said you’re a therapist, not a music teacher.”
Observant men are sexy too.
“I did. And I am. Specifically, I’m a music therapist. Do you want me to explain what a music therapist does?”
“No. I just want you to look for a different space to rent. I’ll give you two weeks.” He turns and makes it out the door in three long strides.
My toes are on his heels in seconds, chasing him down the stairs. “Wait? You’re evicting me?”
“I’m giving you notice.”
“Notice? You’re kicking me out for what? Doing my job?”
“Preventing me from doing mine.” He pushes through the door at the bottom of the stairs and makes a sharp right.
“Hey, Boss, how’d it—” Amanda’s gaze moves from Flint to me as I follow him into his office.
“Hi, Amanda. Would you happen to have the name of a good real estate attorney? I may need to sue my landlord for wrongful eviction.”
“Um …”
Flint turns, halting my forward momentum a second shy of slamming into his chest. “Shut my door, Amanda.” His eyes narrow.
I don’t care how hot this guy looks in a suit. I won’t recoil under his glower. “Please leave it open, Amanda. I may need you to be my witness.”
Arrogance tugs at his mouth. “A witness?”
“For when you threaten me.”
He unbuttons his jacket and takes a step back. A whoosh of oxygen leaves my chest like it’s attached to him. The man has an air of confidence and mystery about him that commands attention.
When he turned around to face me a few seconds ago, I sensed the slightest agitation in his narrowed eyes and flared nostrils, but not anymore. It’s not hard to imagine Flint Hopkins in a courtroom—cool, calculated, ruthless.
“You seem to be an intelligent person, so surely you can see how the noise level of your profession could distract me from doing mine. I think sharing space with other businesses is not a good idea. You need a building of your own or maybe you should work out of your house.”
“I live in an apartment. And I’m sorry, Mr. Money Bags, but I don’t have the cash flow to buy or rent a building all to myself. You’re an attorney. How often are you even in your office? And when you are, what are you doing that requires complete silence? Charming snakes? Narrating audio books?”

excerpt

“You … you tried to seduce me.” Anger fueled her fight, overriding how terrified she felt being feet from naked Gus.
He laughed. That fed her anger even more.
“I wasn’t seducing you. I was making a point.” He slipped on a white T-shirt.
“Bullshit. I was there.”
“Precisely. Then you should know that I wasn’t seducing you.” He grabbed her shoulders and steered her away from the entrance to his closet.
She turned, relieved to find him dressed. “I felt you.” Her eyes narrowed.
He smirked. “You did, did you?”
Heat spread up her neck and burned her cheeks. Discussing Gus’s erection in his bedroom with Sabrina out of town qualified as the most inappropriate conversation she had ever had. “You’re such an ass. Just tell me why?”
Twisting his lips to the side, he narrowed his eyes. “You’re young. You think the world is so black and white. In your fairy-tale world, love is a magic wand spreading trails of glitter and granting happily ever afters.”
Parker stepped closer, knowing the lion could pull her into his den. “I don’t believe in fairytales.”
“No?” He shrugged. “Then I guess I made my point.”
“I don’t get your stupid point!” Her fingernails dug into her hands as she clenched them.
Gus leaned forward, putting them at eye level. She held her ground, even though his proximity made her body tremble.
“Someone cheated on you. And you’re so fucking mad about it because you can’t understand it. But love is an emotion that resides in your head and your proverbial heart. It has to be nurtured to grow or it dies. But … desire … it’s instinctual. Physical. Carnal. And when it wants its way, your brain shuts down and the only heart you hear is that blood-pumping organ in your chest. A slave to your desire, readying your body to do one thing and one thing only …” He leaned into her ear and whispered, “Get. Off.”
August Westman proved he was the devil. Parker became the worst possible version of herself in his presence. He drugged her with his words, pulled her under with his confidence, and stole her innocence with a whisper.

Scarlet Stone by Jewel E Ann-a review

SCARLET STONE by Jewel E. Ann-a review

Scarlet Stone

Amazon.com / Amazon.ca / B&N / KOBO / BAM /

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date December 10, 2016

“My name is Scarlet Stone, and my biggest fear is that someday I will find what I want most in life, and it will be impossible to steal.”

What happens when life just stops? When one moment makes you question your entire existence?

Scarlet Stone is a third-generation thief who has everything: a doting fiancé, a spacious London flat, and a legitimate job offer. In a single breath, everything becomes nothing, and she finds herself on a plane to Savannah, Georgia in search of the meaning of life.

After securing a six-month lease for a beachfront house on Tybee Island, Scarlet changes the way she looks, thinks, eats—basically her entire outlook on life. She needs peace, but what she gets is a housemate who looks like Thor, acts like a warden, and smells her proximity like a Bloodhound.

Theodore Reed is a carpenter and perfectionist with a body built of steel, a black, hollow heart, and a hunger for revenge. He doesn’t like company, girly-smelling crap, and British accents.

He resents every breath she takes.
She’s fascinated by his every move.

In time, they discover their coexistence is toxic, their physical attraction is electric, the secrets they keep mean the difference between life and death, and the only truth they share is that everything is a lie.

“Over eighty-five percent of the world’s population believes in a higher power, yet, very few people believe in miracles.”

Do you believe?

•••••••••••••

REVIEW: SCARLET STONE by Jewel E. Ann is a stand alone, slightly paranormal, dark romance story line focusing on third generation thief Scarlet ‘Ruby’ Stone, and musician/handyman Theodore ‘Theo’ Reed.

Told from dual first person points of view (Scarlet and Theo) SCARLET STONE is a story line steeped in emotional and physical anger, betrayal, revenge, falling in love and letting go. Scarlet Stone is a woman whose life is changing. With her father, Oscar Stone, serving twenty years behind bars for a crime he did not commit, British citizen Scarlet Stone heads to America where her future unfolds. On the plane, Scarlet will meet American Nolan Moore who offers her a place to stay, in Savannah Georgia, while our heroine considers her future-a future with an expiry date and no time for a relationship or love. Meeting Theodore Reed, her housemate, and soon to be lover finds our heroine falling in love with an angry, bitter and obstinate man whose plans do not include Scarlet Stone. What ensues is the push and pull; yin and yang between two people whose lives will collide when lies, betrayal, and the truth are revealed.

Jewel E Ann writes an amazing story line about an eccentric heroine; a bitter and vengeful (anti) hero; and a past that will collide with the present as Scarlet searches for the truth. SCARLET STONE is a passionate tale; a chaotic collision; a back and forth between two people whose lives are tragic; whose souls are broken. The premise is heartbreaking and intoxicating; the romance is aggressive and impassioned; the characters are dramatic and intense.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 28, 2016

Lake Jones is a cover girl for cutting-edge prosthetic legs, a binge-watcher of Netflix, known to spy on her neighbor through her door’s peephole, and fond of laser games with her hairless cat. She’s also a bit sexually-frustrated.

Until …

God bestows a breath of mercy upon her in the form of Minnesota’s NFL starting quarterback. But this gift is no stranger. Lake met Cage Monaghan three years earlier.

It was one day.
One moment.
One kiss that resurrected her dreams of finding love.

His dimpled smile distracts from his imperfections, which include: a love for country music, fishing, and a feline-hating girlfriend.

When life finally gives them their chance, it’s a humorous and heart-wrenching journey to find their place in the world.

“We would be Cage and Lake. We would be unpredictable. We would be reckless. We would give normality the middle finger.”

REVIEW: ONE by Jewel E. Ann is a contemporary, adult, stand alone/spin off, romance story focusing on NFL rookie quarterback Cage Monaghan, and Lake Jones. Cage is the son of JT Monaghan, and Lake is the sister of Luke Jones both characters previously introduced in Jewel’s Jack and Jill series. The story line advances the Jack and Jill series and events several years.

Told from dual first person points of view (Cage and Lake) ONE is a story of second chances. Years earlier, Lake and Cage met at Cage’s father’s funeral, and although neither one was thinking about the future, one kiss meant everything to our leading couple. Fast forward several years, where Cage is now a starring quarterback in the NFL, and Lake is a cover model for cutting-edge prosthetics. What ensues is a rekindling of attraction, and a second chance for two people whose lives connected through grief, loss and the feisty Jillian Knight aka Jessica Day three years before. Cage never forgot the ‘one’ that got away; and Lake has never forgotten their forbidden kiss.

ONE is an inspiring and endearing story of romance; a seduction of the mind; a tale that will awaken the heart and the soul. Jewel E Ann’s ONE is an emotional free fall where one man has found the person that completes his life; where one woman who has fought against the odds, has survived to grab hold of the stars, reaching for the moon and taking a chance on the future. Cage and Lake’s chemistry is unmistakable; their sexual attraction is off the charts. There are plenty of humorous moments; witty banter and sexual innuendo enveloped by a love story meant to arouse the senses. The premise is brilliant and wondrous; the characters are incredible, impulsive and dynamic; the romance is heartwarming, captivating and emotional. ONE is a truly, spectacular story; a well written and imaginative tale about two people destined by fate whose lives connected three years earlier through grief and loss. Jewel E Ann’s writing is intoxicating; the words on the page but a path to beautiful tale.
