This is dress designer Lina Schultze, and businessman Oran Byrne’s story line. VICIOUS SEDUCTION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspective (Lina and Oran) VICIOUS SEDUCTION follows the enemies to lovers relationship between our story line couple. Oran Byrne is hoping to take down some powerful people but he never expected to come face to face with his future in the guise of Lina Schultze, a woman he suspects may be in trouble. Always on the arm of the man Oran is hoping to destroy, Lina was looking for information , information that our hero knew nothing about. Desperate to uncover the truth, Oran makes Lina an offer she cannot refuse. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between our story line couple, and the potential fall-out as the ghosts from the past refuse to let go.

The world building focuses on the take down of some very power men, men who use their positions for influence and control but a secret ‘society’ may be behind the a number of missing and exploited women, and our heroine is determined to make them pay.

The relationship between Lina and Oran begins acrimoniously as Oran is determined to take control. Using Lina in his plans, Oran never expected to fall in love but loving Lina may come with a price. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of coloful, energetic and questionable characters. We are introduced to businessman Lawrence Wellington, Lina’s mother Eliza, and stepfather Charles, as well as the Renzo Donati, and Moretti Malice series set up and spin off, and the return of Oran’s brothers Keir and Torin, and Conner and Noemi Reid. The requisite evil has many faces.

VICOUS SEDUCTION is a story of secrets and lies, manipulation and coercion, power and control, dysfunctional family values, betrayal and vengeance, acceptance and love. The premise is intriguing, dramatic, dark, and intense; the romance is seductive and passionate; the characters are desperate, determined, dynamic and strong-willed.

RUTHLESS SALVATION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Torin and Stormy) using present day and memories from the past RUTHLESS SALVATION follows in the wake of a possible stalker for our story line heroine. Stormy suspected she was never alone but she had become complacent, and knew it may be time to move, yet again, before the past comes through with a promise to kill. Working for the Byrne brothers as a cocktail server meant Stormy was always up close and personal with Torin Byrne but never expected to discover that Torin’s attraction was visceral and hard. An attack against our heroine found Torin guardian and protector but the revelation about the who, what and why was about to place Byrne brothers in the direct line of fire. What ensues is the building relationship between Torin and Stormy, and the potential fall-out as Stormy’s past demands her return, one way or another.

The world building continues to follow the Byrne brothers Irish Mobster world including their illegal dealings in the world of arms dealing. A shipment of stolen guns was about to bring the Irish face to face with the Russian Mafia but Torin will quickly discover there is more to the appearance of the Russians than anyone could have imagined.

The relationship between Torin and Stormy is one of employee and employer. They have danced around one another for close to six months but Stormy knows her time in New York comes with an expiry date, a date that may be closing in faster than she expected. Having left everything and everyone behind, Stormy is desperate to protect the man with whom she is falling in love, fearing she will bring death and danger wherever she goes. Torin doesn’t do relationships but he is desperate to claim Stormy as his own. Stormy is hiding something; she is on the run, and it is only a matter of time before Torin takes charge, destroying anyone determined to destroy the woman he loves. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, engaging and familiar secondary and supporting characters including Keir and Rowan (Corrupted Union), Conner, Oran, and security Jolly. The Byrne organization of Irish mobsters look after their own but Stormy’s presence is about to draw a line betweenTorin and the family he loves. The requisite evil has many faces.

RUTHLESS SALVATION is a story of abuse, power and control, trust and misunderstanding, family and friendships, relationships and love. The premise is intriguing, captivating and dramatic; the romance is seductive and intoxicating; the characters are sassy, animated, powerful and strong.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Bishop and Pippa) SECRET SIN follows the building romance and relationship between Ewan ‘Bishop’ Bohanan, and twenty year old, Pippa Revello. Bishop Bohanan is Connor Reid’s (Silent Vows) second in command, and as such found himself closely watching our story line heroine. A night on the town with her cousin Noemi finds twenty year old Pippa a little too drunk and naïve to care, and flirting with Bishop leads to a one night stand. Bishop doesn’t like being ghosted, and makes it his mission to track down the woman with whom he will fall in love. As Pippa continues to push Bishop away, Bishop sets up a scenario that opens up Pippa’s eyes to the dangerous situations, out of her control. What ensues is the building but tempestuous relationship between Bishop and Pippa, as Bishop struggles to convince Pippa they belong together.

Pippa Revello wants and needs her independence but falling for Bishop meant going from her father into the arms of another man. Refusing to accept Bishop is her happily ever after, Pippa battles between head and heart, placing herself in the direct line of fire. Bishop Bohanan knows Pippa is the woman that calls to his heart but convincing Pippa may take more time than he could have ever imagined. The $ex scenes are erotic and intense but I dislike the use of certain four-letter words.

We are introduced to Pippa’s family: parents Gino and Lauretta Revello, siblings Gabe and Ari; Pippa’s high school friend Archer Worthington, as well as the return of Conner and Noemi (Silent Vows), and Bishop’s friend Callum.

SECRET SIN is a quick read; a novella length, age-gap, fast paced story focusing on the building relationship between a young, inexperienced woman, and the man with whom she will fall in love. The premise is captivating and entertaining; the romance is seductive and steamy; the characters are determined and charismatic.

From the outset, Connor suspected Noemi was but a pawn in a much larger game, a reluctant pawn with a possible end date if she does not comply.

The relationship between Connor and Noemi is an arranged marriage between two powerful crime families but Connor never expected to fall for the silent daughter of the Italian Mafia, a daughter whose secrets run dangerous and dark. Noemi knew her time with her father was coming to an end, and marriage to Connor was a preferred alternative to what was waiting at home with her dad. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.

We are introduced to Connor’s cousins Keir Byrne, and Shae; his right hand man Bishop; Noemi’s brother Sante, their father Fausto, as well as Noemi’s cousin Pippa, and several members of both extended families.

SILENT VOWS is a story of power and control, murder and obsession, betrayal and revenge, secrets and lies, family and relationships, friendships and love. The fast paced premise is captivating and intriguing but not as dark and gritty as many of the Mafia/crime world story lines; the romance is erotic and intense; the characters are determined, desperate and dynamic.

His cool stare held me captive, eyes inches from mine. “Is your father going to be a problem?”
My lips parted in surprise.
I’d expected innuendo and manipulation. Such a direct line of questioning hit at the very heart of my worries and unsteadied me.
I shook my head and tried to dart beneath his arm. Conner wedged his body in front of the door, blocking my path completely and bringing us chest to chest. I sucked in a shock of air, then narrowed my eyes defensively.
He wasn’t remotely unsettled by my display of irritation. If anything, his intensity only darkened further in the dimly lit basement hallway—a villainous storm threatening to crumble me to my foundations.
“Protective is one thing. I get the sense this is more, and I think I ought to know if it’s going to be a problem.” His eyes narrowed a fraction, the difference between tension and savage ferocity in one tiny twitch of a muscle. “He ever hurt you?” The words were deadly calm.
Oh God. Why was he doing this?
He needed to stop asking questions, and I needed to stop thinking his questions meant he cared. This was all probably about control and power, not me. I had to shut it down. Now. The best way to accomplish that was not to look like a scared little girl.
Taking a small step back, I opened my clutch and pulled out a pen, then took his hand in mine, palm up. It’s so much wider than I expected. Rough and solid muscle. Hands that knew hard work, like squeezing the life out of an enemy.
I mentally scolded myself to focus and wrote two letters across the full surface of his palm.
NO.
Releasing him, I peered up in challenge. Conner stepped forward, placing his leg between my thighs and swiveling us until my back was against the wall next to the door. I didn’t squirm or respond, knowing I couldn’t show doubt or weakness if I was going to shut down his questions.
“Not so fragile as they implied, are you?” he purred above me.
I took his tie in my hand, pulling him slowly lower until our noses almost touched, and shook my head slowly side to side. His hands came to rest on either side of my head as he brought his cheek to mine, his hint of stubble creating a delicious friction against my skin.
“Good, because I’m not remotely gentle.” The words were a black promise, raw and demanding and utterly intoxicating.

Review:

Reading the characters point of view isn’t always my favourite way to read.  So after I read the back cover of Shadow Play by Jill Ramsower,  I went in ……. And was pleasantly surprised. The scenes were very well written, and flowed nicely. The characters were very three dimensional, and believable. 

Rebecca is just a “normal” human, she has recurring nightmares, and now they seem to be coming true. She “sees” things other people don’t. And that includes the fae (not at all like tinker belle) ?‍♀️ and they want to take over this dimension (as I said, not like tinker belle) 

She just wants a fresh start, and believes it will be achieved in Ireland, wrong, her life isn’t really much better there. And when she finds others like her, she hopes she can survive long enough to rescue humanity.

It was great that Rebecca had several “girlfriends” she could rely on. Ashley was one of them, and to me she seemed the perfect friend. She was very supportive of Rebecca, and she believed Rebecca, even though half the stuff coming out of Rebecca’s mouth sounded crazy. 

Lachlan is very secretive, but demands total honesty from Rebecca. He is hiding something, can Rebecca find out what ? Is he fae ? Is he like here ? And will he help in the up and coming bottle ?  And if she does, what will she do ? 

Ronan is the opposite. He is charming and very likeable, he wants Rebecca for his own. Will he succeed ? And does he have a hidden agenda of his own ? 

And what secrets does Rebecca hide ? 

I liked how the story of Merlin, Guinevere and Arthur fit in with the history of the Fae.
