PRIMAL POSSESSION (Moon Shifter #2) by Katie Reus

PRIMAL POSSESSION is the second full-length novel in Katie Reus’s Moon Shifter series. When a group calling themself the Antiparanormal League begin targeting shifters as well as humans they associate with, no one is safe.  With the revelation of shifter existence, the attacks against the Packs have increased to where entire populations are at risk.

28 years old former teacher and now bookstore owner December McIntyre was targeted by the Antiparanormal League for her association with Lupine shifter and second-in-command of the Armstrong-Cordona pack Liam Armstrong.  Although no personal fault of Liam’s, knowing she was his mate, made it that much more unbearable to know that December was refusing his offer of protection along with his heart.

As an enforcer for the North American Council of Lupine shifters Jayce Kazan has business with the Armstrong-Cordona Pack alpha Connor Armstrong but knowing the woman who was supposed to be his mate was nearby dissolved all good sense.  Kat Saburova was December’s best friend, estranged daughter of Dimiitri Saburova (crime lord) and his mate.  But when she walked out on him months before, she took his heart with her when he refused to bond. Finding out that Kat had been targeted by the APL only reinforced Jayce’s guilt about his association with and the danger it placed on Kat. But another group of supernaturals had been targeted and Liam and Jayce would fall prey to an attack.

Parker McIntyre was Fontana’s Sheriff and December’s brother, but Parker was all about his sister’s safety.  But Parker’s dislike for the shifters became apparent when he threatened to cut December out of his life if she mated with Liam Armstrong. But the guilt of knowing the real reason as to why Parker was so angry, weighed heavily upon both of their minds.

The APL was on the move.  Following a couple of attacks against Liam, December would find herself bound and gagged in her own house. Rescued, December would temporarily move into the shifter ranch, but once there, her hormones take over with a surprising jolt. And Parker’s reaction to her sudden move would place a strain on the siblings.  But a shooting would put everything into perspective when Kat is abducted. And Liam knew, that to save December, he would have to turn away from his mate.

PRIMAL POSSESSION is another exciting storyline in Katie Reus’s Moon Shifter series. A look at pack life and its’ tenuous relationship with humans, the Armstrong- Cordona pack will find themselves another ally in the supernatural world, and a new threat from a fabled race. Katie’s storyline blends naturally with the character development, and there is rarely a moment to breathe between scenes.

Thanks so much to Sandy for letting me hang out here today!

Reading is what I do during my downtime and I love listening to music while reading, cooking, or whatever. It has the power to change my mood, which is often a good thing. I know a lot of writers who can listen to music and write at the same time, but I’m not that talented. I get way too distracted! However, in the mornings I usually go walking and I always bring my iPod along. Half the time I’ll listen to an audible book but the other half, I like to relax and listen to music. On my current playlist you’ll find artists such as Foster the People, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Fitz and the Tantrums, Macy Gray, Breaking Benjamin, Johnny Cash, Pink…and I could go on forever. I like to have a mix of everything, but when walking I usually keep it upbeat until that final stretch where I’m warming down.

Music, just like reading and books, is so subjective—which is a wonderful thing. What one person might consider the hottest song ever might be like fingernails on a chalkboard to someone else. I have a few songs that are guaranteed to put me in a happier mood if I need it, and pretty much anything by Pink gets me excited about working out. And I usually need that extra motivation!

What about you? What song when you hear it makes you want to dance? Or puts you in a better mood? Or, who is one of your favorite musical artists? One reader who comments on the blog today will be randomly selected to win a print copy of Primal Possession (US eligible only). Good luck and thanks so much for stopping by!

As his pack’s second-in-command, lupine shifter Liam Armstrong gives orders and takes what he wants—until he meets red-headed, blue-eyed December McIntyre. Liam knows the human beauty is his intended mate the moment he sees her, but December is far too strong-willed to accept his protection.

December, whose brother is the town sheriff, has every reason to mistrust shifters after one killed her youngest sibling. But the forceful and handsome Liam has gotten under her skin in a way she hadn’t thought possible, and the desire she feels for him is almost too much to bear.

When a radical hate group targets all humans known to sympathize with paranormal beings, December is attacked in her bookstore. Reluctantly, she turns to the only one who can help her: Liam. And he is going to take her to places within herself she never knew existed.

Katie Reus-Guest Post and Giveaway with the author

KATIE REUS-Guest Post with the author

Thank you so much for having me here today!

People often ask me questions about my writing process including how I come up with character names or I how I keep everything straight in a series. Coming up with character names is one of my favorite things to do in the writing process. I have a couple baby books I’ll browse and there are three or four baby naming websites I like to check out for inspiration. Usually I know my character’s heritage so if they’re Irish, Greek, Native American, Jamaican, etc. it’s much easier to narrow down names and their meanings as there are also genealogy sites I can utilize.

In my Moon Shifter series the Cordona females in the pack are all originally from Spain. Most were actually born there, but some of them were born in the States. So when picking names I took into account their heritage, which is very important to their pack. It was a lot of fun naming so many people and after a while I realized I needed to create something to keep track of things. So, I created my ‘character keeper’. It helps me stay organized and keep track of who’s mated/married to whom, names of parents, siblings, children, and what the individual looks like in human and wolf form, etc. Right now I’m working on the fourth book in the series and I’m afraid I would have gone mad a long time ago without my ‘bible’ to keep me on track.

A little over a week ago LOVER’S INSTINCT, a novella in my Moon Shifter series, released. My heroine’s name is Esperanze and it means ‘hope’. My hero’s name is Nikan, which means ‘loyal friend’ or ‘my friend’. It fits both their personalities perfect. I hope you enjoyed reading a little about what goes on during my writing process!

Do you know what the meaning of your name is? If so please share and be entered to win a print copy of Primal Possession, the second book in my Moon Shifter series (US only), which is releasing in a couple weeks. If you’d just like to leave a comment, that’s cool too! You’ll still be entered.

About Lover’s Instinct:

Lupine shifter Nikan Lawless has it bad for Esperanze Cordona, the sweet and curvy woman who only views him as a friend. But when Nikan is assigned to act as Esperanze’s bodyguard during a weekend education conference, he knows it’s the perfect opportunity to seduce her off her feet—away from the pack.

To put his plan into motion Nikan cancels one of their hotel rooms, giving them time to get to know one another in a whole different way. But when a man from Esperanze’s past shows up in need of help, Nikan must shield her from a group of dangerous rogue shifters, all while trying to prove that they’re destined to be mates.

LOVER’S INSTINCT (Moon Shifter 1.5) by Katie Reus-a review

LOVER’S INSTINCT (Moon Shifter #1.5) by Katie Reus

LOVER’S INSTINCT (Moon Shifter Novella #1.5) by Katie Reus

LOVER’S INSTINCT is the August 7, 2012 release in Katie Reus’s Moon Shifter series.

Nikan Lawless is a wolf shifter: an alpha warrior who knows what he wants and he wants Esperanze. With the recent poisonings and deaths throughout the pack, Nikan wants to ensure that the woman, who would one day be his mate and bond-mate, was well guarded and protected. Suspecting the Antiparanormal League is responsible for the series of deaths, Nikan acted as Essy’s personal bodyguard for the weekend conference in DC.

Esperanze was hoping to meet up with her former university professor and friend. Once human, Antoine now enjoyed the life of a vampire. Turned by a former lover, Antoine was a keynote speaker for the conference whose attendees were of the supernatural persuasion. Although she was surprised that Nikan would be attending, she was more surprised when she realized he had plans to make their friendship more permanent. But before anything could happen, Essy and Nikan would find themselves involved in a game of life and death, when Antoine is found beaten and his human girlfriend is held hostage until Antoine comes through for a couple of rogue wolves. But what they want from Antoine is something he is reluctant to give but has been forced into submission by the people holding his friend hostage.

Nikan has known for a while that Esperanze was his mate. But the shy and quiet young shifter had suffered several losses when her sister and cousin were among the wolves who had been poisoned. With close to two dozen pack members now dead, including all of the males, Nikan was not taking any chances with Essy. He wanted to claim her as his mate, and the conference in DC was the perfect opportunity, but fate had other plans. Following the rescue of Antoine’s friend, Nikan arranged for a secluded getaway that would hopefully culminate in the mating he had so long been hoping.

LOVER’S INSTINCT is a quick read that also pre-quels into Katie’s next full length release PRIMAL POSSESSION to be released in September 2012. The character of Nikan is all male, all alpha, and guardian and warrior. The relationship between Esperanze and Nikan had begun as friendship, but a wolf always knows when he has found his mate. Lover’s Instinct is a wonderful storyline, fast paced and full of adventure that ends with a cliff hanger and the introduction to Katie’s next story.

DANGER IN PARADISE by Katie Reus -a review

DANGER IN PARADISE by Katie Reus- a review

DANGER IN PARADISE by Katie Reus

DANGER IN PARADISE is a stand-alone novel originally titled ‘Finding Hope’ written in the romance mystery genre. Although I tend to read more serial books, Danger in Paradise will leave you wanting more especially when we know there are so many other characters just crying for their story.

Hope Jennings is a photographer with a secret. Raised by Mac, the man who adopted her when she was a teen, Hope has always dreamed of making it big. And a contract to photograph the homes of one of the wealthiest Cuban coffee plantation owners was a risk worth taking. But the man sent to escort her forced Hope to break all of her own rules.

Luke Romanov owned his own high-tech security firm and worked for the wealthy Santiago family. But 23 years ago, one of the Santiago twins was kidnapped and her whereabouts were never discovered. Only 13 years old at the time, Luke blamed himself for sending the young girl away, when he was too busy to play. Now he faces the woman, who was once his childhood friend. Guilt, shock and the beginnings of love, will compel Luke to stop at nothing to make sure that Hope is protected.

Soon, Hope’s past will catch up when the person responsible for her near death experience wants to finish the job. Rescued by Mac Jennings at 15, Hope was found floating at sea with 2 bullet wounds and a secret that only Mac and she shared. But now that secret will be revealed when a father and son make good on a contract promising to take Hope out of their lives for good. And the person responsible for the kidnapping will face his own mortality, when Luke turns the table and discovers the story behind the man’s deceit.

DANGER IN PARADISE is a short story that is fast paced and never leaves the reader hanging. The characters are well developed and the love relationship is not without its’ moments. The relationship between Luke and Hope builds slowly, but falters when Hope believes she has been betrayed. At this point, I was not happy with Hope’s behavior because she was fully aware of the risks to her life and the others, yet she continued to judge a man for doing his job, but all is fair in fiction and fantasy. Without controversy, there would be no story.

DANGER NEXT DOOR (Red Stone Security 2) by Katie Reus-a new release review

Danger Next Door (Red Stone Securities 2) by Katie Reus-a new release review

DANGER NEXT DOOR (Red Stone Security #2) by Katie Reus

DANGER NEXT DOOR is the second storyline and June 2012 release in Katie Reus’ Red Stone Security series. As part of Katie’s romantic suspense series, Danger Next Door is the second novel but can be read as a stand-alone without missing any of the background information. In fact, more information about the family and Red Stone Securities is revealed in Danger Next Door.

Grant Caldwell was a former marine and a former detective with the Miami PD, on permanent leave due to a horrific drug bust that went horribly wrong. Scarred both emotionally and physically, Grant had begun to withdraw. With his father and brother offering him a position as part of their team with Red Stone Securities, Grant wasn’t sure how long he could put them off. But self-pity was ugly and he knew he needed to get a handle of things before he made the next step. And the next stepped just moved in next door.

Belle Manikas was on her own for the first time in her life. Leaving the family home was difficult especially when her over-protective big brothers and parents worried about her health. But with a career as a neo-natal nurse, she was able to afford her own home and would hopefully escape the prospects of the ‘arranged’ marriage her parents had made for her with the son of a family friend. But finding Paulo Balis manhandling Belle is her backyard, moved Grant into action and all of his police training came to the forefront. Perhaps it was time to accept his brother’s offer.

Grant was uneasy. Years as a member of the Miami PD and detective had taught him that when a man is abusive towards a woman, this would not be the first or the last time. But when Grant stops an armed stranger dressed in black wearing a mask from entering Belle’s house, Red Stone Securities was the next contact on his list. He was going to make sure that Belle was protected at all time-including when she was not at home.

The relationship between Grant and Belle is slow to heat, much to Belle’s disappointment. But Belle is aware that Grant is self-conscious about the scars that cover much of the left side of his body. And she knows it will take a strong woman to let Grant know, that beauty is on the inside as well as the outside, and that two can play at the game of -who has the prettiest scars.

But the attacks against Belle begin to escalate including an attempt to drown her in the pool, and they now know the attacks are no longer random but a direct attempt. And when Belle is abducted by a stranger posing as a deliveryman Grant knows that his worst fears have come true. Someone from his past-unsolved cases of rape and murder-has stepped up the game and has made Belle his next intended victim.

DANGER NEXT DOOR is another fascinating storyline in the Red Stone Security Series by Katie Reus. A little more suspenseful than book #1, Belle and Grant’s story will have you wondering what and who will be the featured hero in Katie’s next Red Stone novel.

NO ONE TO TRUST (Red Stone Security 1) by Katie Reus-a review

No One To Trust (Red Stone Security 1) by Katie Reus- a review

NO ONE TO TRUST (Red Stone Security #1) by Katie Reus

NO ONE TO TRUST is the first installment (February 2012 release) in author Katie Reus’ Red Stone Security series. Written in the romantic suspense genre, Katie introduces Porter Caldwell, a former marine who is employed (along with his brother) in his father’s high tech security firm “Red Stone Security” and Elizabeth Martinez the firm’s computer expert. Once together as a couple, it had been several months since Elizabeth broke off their relationship, with no explanation to Porter. But now that Elizabeth was about to walk into a house full of trouble, Porter knew, that once Elizabeth was back in his life, he would make sure that she never left him again.

Benny was in trouble again. Elizabeth’s older brother owed money to one of the most powerfully connected men in Florida. With gang affiliation, drug addiction and gambling, Elizabeth knew her brother was in over his head. But when Benny called hoping Elizabeth would be able to bail him out one last time, Elizabeth knew that Orlando Salsa was not going to stop his control over Benny-Elizabeth was now part of the prize. Elizabeth could never say no to Benny. She owed him her life. When no one else in their family would help, Benny made sure that Elizabeth was protected. But keeping the family secret would force Benny into a life of drugs and destruction.

Porter hoped that Elizabeth would stop enabling Benny’s addictions. And tracking Elizabeth was the only way he knew to ensure her safety. But several attempts on her life and with her brother missing, Elizabeth was ready to admit she was in over her head. But Orlando Salsa refused to back down. And now that Benny has stolen something important from Orlando, both Elizabeth and Benny were at risk.

Red Stone Security was on alert. Unable to comprehend how Orlando and the local gang-bangers continued to locate Elizabeth, it was suddenly apparent when the high-tech security vehicles were targeted in different locations. Hoping to keep Elizabeth safe, Porter would never allow Elizabeth to confront Orlando on her own. Porter was in love with Elizabeth, even if she didn’t feel the same. And protecting the woman who called to his very soul, was the only thing that mattered.

The relationship between Elizabeth and Porter builds slowly throughout the story. Frustrating for the couple were the constant interruptions and deadly threats against their lives every time they tried to get together. Guilt played at Elizabeth’s conscious when she realized that she would not allow herself the happiness with Porter while her brother was still missing and in danger of losing his life.

A wonderful storyline of romance and suspense from the mind of Katie Reus.  Look for my review of Danger Next Door-Red Stone Security #2.

Katie Reus-Interview & Giveaway with the author

Katie Reus-Interview with the Author

The Reading Cafe would like to introduce paranormal-romance author Katie Reus. You can find Katie’s website at: Katie Reus.

TRC:  Hi Katie.  Welcome to The Reading Cafe.

We would like to start with some biographical background. Would you please tell us something about yourself?

Katie: If you want the unofficial bio: I write romantic suspense and paranormal romance, live in the South, love red wine, the beach, spending time with my family and visiting old cemeteries. I love reading (no surprise!), flip-flops and have a 9 month old son who is incredibly adorable and takes up a lot of my time nowadays. If you want something more official, check out my website: http://katiereus.com/about/

TRC: When did you start writing? Have you always been interested in writing?

Katie: I started writing about six years ago and no, I haven’t always been interested in writing. The desire to write took me by surprise but I haven’t looked back since I started.

TRC: Many authors will bounce ideas and information with their partner or spouse. Who do you go to when you want to throw ideas around?

Katie: Heh, I love my husband but he usually gives me very inappropriate responses when I ask for help with ideas so for the most part I turn to writer friends. Kaylea Cross and Laura Wright are very fun sounding boards! And, Kaylea’s husband has even been known to help out with ideas too 😉

TRC: Who is your muse?

Katie: I don’t have one. I know some people talk about their muse, but I just write the stories in my head and some most days I wish there were more hours in the day because it feels as if I never have enough time to write all I want. I’m not one of those people who ‘waits for inspiration’ to strike. Unless I’m editing or on vacation, I write almost every single day.

TRC: You write both romantic suspense and paranormal romance. Which genre do you prefer to write? Which genre is the most difficult to write?

Katie: I actually enjoy writing them both equally, which might sound like an easy answer but it’s the truth. Usually I alternate between the genres and it’s a good way to keep things fresh. And both genres have equally difficult aspects. Researching laws, regulations, government procedures etc. can be a very time consuming part of romantic suspense and actual world building for paranormal is equally time consuming. But I’m a total geek and love research so it’s always fun.

TRC: Alpha Instinct (released Feb 7, 2012) is the first novel in your new Moon Shifter Series. Will you tell us something about this book and the series? Where did you come up with the idea?

Katie: It’s the first book in a projected 3 book & 1 novella series (I’m hoping my publisher will want to publish more!). The official back cover copy is:

Fear has a scent. So does desire…
Ana Cordona has been a strong leader for the lupine shifters who survived after all the males and most of the females in her pack were mysteriously poisoned. As tough as she is, with no Alpha male, the pack is vulnerable to the devious shifter Taggart, who wants to claim both their ranch and Ana as his own. When Connor Armstrong comes back into her life, promising protection, it’s almost enough to make Ana forget how he walked out on her before—and reluctantly accept his offer to mate.

The minute Connor sees Ana again, it reawakens a raw hunger. He must have her for his bondmate—his wolf cries out for it. But his human side knows he must proceed with caution because of their complicated past. If he is to truly have her body and soul, he must go beyond his burning desire and win back her heart. Whatever it takes, he is determined not to leave her side again.

But Taggart and his rival pack are not their only enemies. A human element in town is targeting shifters. Their plan not only threatens Ana and Connor’s future, but the lives of the entire pack…

And as far as how I came up with this story, it sort of evolved from my original intent. What was supposed to have been a simple paranormal novella grew and I realized that a lot of the characters needed their story told. When I finally let my characters take over, everything flowed from there. Book 1.5 is an e-novella, due to be released in August 2012.

TRC: Have you chosen a title and a premise for the novella?

Katie: The title is Lover’s Instinct. Oh yeah, it’s completely finished and has already gone through edits. I’m just waiting on a cover! The official description is:

TRC:  Why release the novella in ebook format only, when the first book is available in several formats?

Katie:  That’s my publisher’s decision so I’m guessing the reason it’s available strictly in ebook is because of the length. It’s about 28,000 words which is shorter than even a category romance novel so I don’t think it would work in a print format. Book 2 (Primal Possession) releases the month after Lover’s Instinct and it will definitely be in print and digital format.

TRC: How has the electronic age helped or hindered you as an author?

Katie: It has definitely helped me. I started off digitally publishing and that’s how I gained readers in the first place. I love being published in mass market format but I hope to continue publishing in various formats. I’m all about being diversified! The electronic age has also opened up self-publishing options (something I never would have considered two years ago), which has been a great addition as far as new venues and reaching more readers.

TRC: You are releasing Protector’s Mate in April 2012. Would you tell us something about Protector’s Mate?(See our review below)

Katie: It will be available from Harlequin Nocturne as part of their new-ish Cravings line. It’s a paranormal novella and will be out in digital and audio format. The official cover copy is:

After two years in a war zone, werewolf Felicia Serna has finally returned to find another pack has taken over her territory…and the new second-in-command is the very man who haunts her fantasies. Alaric has wanted Felicia from the moment he laid eyes on her, and now he’s ready to claim her. When a threatening shifter begins stalking them, he’s determined to protect her…even if it means putting his seduction on hold. But even in the heat of danger, their red-hot passion cannot be denied. It is a stand-alone paranormal novel.

TRC: Do you prefer the series format, as you can continue the storylines?

Katie: It’s a stand-alone, though it is in the same world as Destined Mate (my first Nocturne Cravings novella). I do love writing a series. In a way it makes writing easier and more difficult. I get to develop the characters over much longer periods of time which is awesome because I love my characters. But I also have to keep a much thicker research and character folder so I keep everything consistent.

TRC: Which is more difficult for you to write-the stand alone novel or a continuous series and why?

Katie: A series is more difficult to write simply because there are a lot more characters and keeping everything consistent means I have to stay uber organized.

TRC: Your novel Danger in Paradise, was a re-release of a previous book Finding Hope. What was your decision to re-release a revised version of this particular book?

Katie: I received my rights back to the book from a small epress and knew I wanted to do more with the story. My sales were incredibly small and I knew a big part of that was their agency pricing and lack of exposure. My decision to release it on my own was a multitude of things; I’d have control over pricing, final cover, and would be able to add some stuff that was originally cut. I sold more copies in the first two months that I released it on my own than I did in two years with that publisher. Sales are continuing to rise every month so it’s a decision I’ve been very happy with.

TRC: His Secret Past (January 2012) was your latest release in the romantic suspense genre. Will you tell us something about His Secret Past?

Katie: I LOVED writing His Secret Past. I know you’re not supposed to have favorites, but this story will always be very special to me. It was the first thing I ever wrote (though definitely not the first thing I had published) and even though it’s undergone major edits and I ended up throwing out many many truly awful and unnecessary scenes, this is the story that propelled me into writing. The official cover copy is:

Six years ago, Alexis Baptiste’s world was turned upside down when Hunter Cassidy disappeared without a trace, leaving her alone and pregnant. She’s finally moving on with her life when he resurfaces, just in time to rescue her from a would-be assassin. Forced to join him on the run to protect herself and her young son, Alexis is now in even more danger: danger of falling for Hunter all over again.

Betrayed by rogue CIA agents after infiltrating an infamous drug cartel, former DEA agent Hunter Cassidy has spent years trying to clear his name. He’s not proud of the things he’s done, and knows he doesn’t deserve a future with Alexis, or the son he never knew he had, but he’s determined to protect them from the men who ruined his life. Convincing Alexis to trust him—and denying his feelings for her—is going to be the hardest mission he’s ever faced.

TRC: Will you ever consider writing a series in this particular genre?

Katie: I would love to write a romantic suspense series. Once I finish the current proposal I’m working on I plan to start working on the outline for a romantic suspense trilogy.

TRC: The last book you published in the erotic-romantic-suspense genre was Dangerous Deception. Are you no longer writing this particular genre? What was your decision to change directions with your writing style?

Katie: I still write erotic romance, I just do it under another name. After releasing three books in the erotic romance genre I knew I wanted a separation from my romantic suspense and paranormal romance. So I haven’t stopped writing it completely, but I don’t plan to write another erotic romance for at least another year—I don’t have time, lol! 😉

TRC: What are you working on today?

Katie: A proposal for my editor with Harlequin Nocturne.

TRC: Would you like to add anything else?

Katie: Thank you to everyone who has stopped by today and thank you for having me!

PROTECTOR’S MATE by Katie Reus-a review

PROTECTOR’S MATE by Katie Reus

PROTECTOR’S MATE by Katie Reus

Protector’s Mate is the second novel and April 2012 release in Katie Reus Nocturne Craving series of paranormal stories. Following shortly after the events in Destined Mate, Protector’s Mate follows shifter wolf Alaric and his soon to be mate Felicia, as they are followed by a trio of wolves hoping to stop their reunion.

Felicia Serna is a lone wolf who was abandoned by her family as a pup, and with no apparent pack to call her own, she enlisted for a tour of duty in Afghanistan. Five years later, she has never forgotten the man, who called to the wolf within.

Alaric is over 500 years old, second-in-command to Knox’s Alpha, and all male. But five years was too long to wait to claim his mate. The wolf within needed to know his female was safe, and he took it upon himself to ensure that her whereabouts were known all the times. With a few well-place emails Alaric was soon ‘talking’ with the woman who was his to claim.

When Felicia finally landed on home soil, it wasn’t only Alaric hoping to ‘capture’ the beauty. Needing to find a ‘safe house’, the couple must abandon their ride, and spend the night together. But it is the wolf within Alaric that is consumed with protecting his mate, and when the couple is threatened by wolves with another agenda Alaric calls in his family, to help defend and protect.

Protector’s Mate is a quick and easy read. And like Destined Mate, the novel is fast paced and moves quickly to the heart of the storyline. Katie has written these novellas as stand-alone paranormal stories, but so far I am enjoying the ‘serial ‘ style to the books. I hope she continues this particular line because the couples thus far, have been enjoyable and I want to know more about the American Pack and their adventures.
