Told from omniscient third person perspectives PROTECTING REBEL follows the rekindling relationship between Weston Davis and Rebel Martinez. Weston and Rebel were childhood friends but their future careers sent them in opposite directions. Weston joined the Marines then became a successful investor while Rebel’s music star rose around the world. Rebel’s return home to Miami is met with an increase of threats, and Weston is about to take control of the woman he has always loved. Rebel has a stalker so Weston hires the team at Red Stone Security when the threats against Rebel become dangerous and dark. What ensues is the best friends to lovers relationship between Rebel and Weston, and the potential fall-out when threats against Rebel hit too close to home.

The relationship between Rebel and Weston is one of second chances, of a sort. Rebel and Weston were childhood friends but Rebel’s home life was questionable at best, and when Weston joined the Marines, Rebel went to live with the woman who had raised the man that she loved. Having always kept in contact, Rebel was surprised to discover just how often Weston kept track of her life, a life that was about to a little more complicated. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate.

The secondary and supporting characters include several members of Rebel’s entourage and team, singers and roadies, assistants and agents, as well as a guest appearance from a couple of RSS agents.

PROTECTING REBEL is a story of jealousy and obsession, friendships and relationships, second chances and love. The character driven premise is intriguing and entertaining but there is only an outside /tentative connection to the Red Stone Security characters ; the romance is seductive and fated; the characters are energetic and dynamic.

Approximately one year earlier Orion, an ancient dragon arose from a milenia of sleep unaware of the world around him. Fast forward to present day, Orion now lives and works in a small farming community but most of the people are unaware of Orion’s powers but the humans are in danger from the marauding vampires, and Orion has taken on the responsibility of protecting the people he now calls his own. Enter Dr. Violet Robichaux, and the woman with whom Orion will fall in love. Orion has not revealed his identity to Violet Robichaux but Orion’s dragon knows that the woman is his mate. The return of Darius and his mate Hazel, as well as ancient female dragon shifter Prima add some cohesion and familiarity.

ANCIENT GUARDIAN is a story of power and control, betrayal and retribution, desperation and determination, acceptance, forgiveness and love. The premise is captivating and edgy; the romance is spicy and provocative; the characters are spirited, encouraging and animated.

REVIEW:DEADLY PROTECTOR is the nineteenth instalment in Katie Reus’ contemporary, adult RED STONE SECURITY erotic, romantic suspense series focusing on the men and women who work for Red Stone Security. This is thirty-two year old, physical therapist and single mother Zamira Nowak LeBlanc, former thief turned businessman/security specialist Dimitri Lenkov’s story line. DEADLY PROTECTOR can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Zamira is Mila’s sister (Secret Enemy 16).

Told from several third person perspectives including Dimitri and Zamira DEADLY PROTECTOR follows the building romance and relationship between thirty-two year old, physical therapist and single mother Zamira Nowak LeBlanc, former thief turned businessman/security specialist Dimitri Lenkov. Zamira Nowak was Dimitri Lenkov’s physical therapist but now that their relationship was no longer professional, Dimitri crossed the invisible line asking Zamira out on a date but a a former acquaintance of Zamira’s late husband is demanding something Zamira does not have, a demand that pulls in the Red Stone Security team to protect our story line heroine. All does not go according to plan when Dimitri is recognized for who and what he once was, and our hero gets pulled into a world of which he is no longer a member. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Dimitri and Zamira, and the potential fall-out as Dimitri’s guilt about his past forces our hero to reconsider his plans for the future/

The relationship between Dimitri and Zamira is one of immediate attraction but Dimitri began as Zamira’s client, and neither one was willing to cross the line. With her children on vacation, Zamira accepts Dimitri’s invitation for a night on the town, wherein our couple will begin their courtship that is threatened by people from their pasts. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters included several members of the Red Stone Security Team including Porter and Lizzy Caldwell (No One To Trust 1),Lyosha Vasiliev and Mila (Secret Enemy 16), as well as hotelier and businessman Viktor Ivanov. The requisite evil has many faces.

DEADLY PROTECTOR is a story of obsession and vengeance, betrayal and greed, family, friendships, relationships and love. The fast paced, character driven premise is intriguing and entertaining; the romance is seductive and intense; the characters are captivating, determined and strong willed.

REVIEW:ANCIENT RETRIBUTION is the fifth instalment in Katie Reus’ contemporary, adult ANCIENT RISINGS paranormal/fantasy romance series. This is ancient dragon shifter Zephyr, and Black Ops dragon shifter Juniper’s story line. ANCIENT RETRIBUTION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. SOME BACKGROUND: Months earlier, several dragons rose from their sleep, and in the aftermath destroyed much of the city of New Orleans, Louisiana, in an apocalyptic showdown known as The Fall, but in doing so revealed the existence of the supernatural world to humankind. Ancients Rising focuses on the recovery of the city, and the group of supernaturals and dragons who have come to call New Orleans their home.

Told from several third person perspectives including Zephyr and Juniper ANCIENTS RETRIBUTION focuses on the hunt for a group of vampires trafficking human women. Upon his escape from the H*ll dimension, an injured Zephyr is rescued by Black Ops dragon shifter Juniper, and Zephyr knows immediately our heroine is his mate but Juniper and her crew are on the search for the being responsible for opening the gates to the H*ll dimension, gates that are the portals between H*ll and Earth. With a number of human female missing or dead, Juniper and her team are tasked with uncovering the truth, a team that now includes our story line hero. As Juniper and Zephyr track down the people responsible for the missing and murdered women, Juniper’s past comes full circle, when our heroine comes face to face with the family she has never known. Zephyr is a powerful ancient, and a male who has finally found the mate to his heart but Juniper is a Black Ops warrior, whose past is shrouded in mystery, a past that reveals Juniper’s royal lineage, and a possible bloody ascension to the throne. Juniper never expected to find a mate, having spent most of her life living and raised by a pack of wolves, but falling for Zephyr was a struggle in the face of not knowing the truth about her own powers, or what happened or why.

The relationship between Zephyr and Juniper begins when Juniper and her team ‘rescue’ and help heal our story line hero. Zephyr and Juniper are immediately attracted to one another, but Juniper struggles with the idea of mating, and the reality of the unknown about her history and her past. Zephyr knows Juniper is his mate, and bides his time hoping to seduce the woman with whom he will fall in love. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters most of whom we have met in previous instalments. We are introduced to the family that raised Juniper, and her newly found biological family, a family that has been searching for Juniper for over one-hundred and twenty-five years.

ANCIENT RETRIBUTION is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, search and rescue, retribution and love. The fast paced premise is engaging, tragic, detailed and dramatic; the romance is edgy and captivating; the characters are energetic, powerful and animated.
