This is Alex ‘Loki’ Grimes, and Beatrice ‘Bea’ Underwood’s story line. SUSPICIOUS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Told from dual first person perspectives (Loki and Bea) SUSPICIOUS follows the second chance relationship between our story line couple. Fast forward to present day wherein, Beatrice Underwood has developed a health and wellness app, and someone is hacked the app, blackmailing our heroine in the process. Desperate for help, Bea contacts the only man she believes can help , the man whose heart she broke years before. Enter Alex ‘Loki’ Grimes. Loki struggles with the return of the only woman he has ever loved but Bea is desperate, and the fall-out will destroy too many lives. What ensues is the rebuilding but forbidden romance and relationship between Bea and Loki, and the potential fall-out when the LA Defiance MC discover the who, how and why of Bea’s hacked app.

The world building follows several paths including the rekindling romance between Bea and Loki; betrayal from within by one of their own; the power of forgiveness and acceptance; the revenge aimed at the innocent and broken.

The relationship between Bea and Loki is one of second chances. Loki has never stopped loving our story line heroine but Bea left at a time when Loki needed her the most, and the ensuing spiral left Loki struggling with a direction in life. Bea never forgave herself for walking away but leaving Loki was never what she had intended. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of charismatic secondary and supporting characters many of whom we met in the previous story lines as well as Loki’s best friend, and Bea’s brother Theo.

SUSPICIOUS is am enemies to lovers story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, murder and mayhem, forgiveness and love .The character driven premise is captivating and emotional with some dark elements; the romance is seductive; the characters are dynamic, determined and resolute.
