REVIEW:LOVED ENOUGH is the fifth instalment in Kelly Elliott’s contemporary, adult LOVE IN MONTANA erotic, romance series-a next generation, spin off from the author’s MEET ME IN MONTANA series. This is ranch hand Maverick Prescott, and Lily Shaw’s story line. LOVED ENOUGH can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. You do not have to have read the original series to follow or understand.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Lily and Maverick) LOVED ENOUGH follows the building romance and relationship between our story line couple. When Lily’s life long best friend and crush Ben announced his impending marriage to another woman, Lily was sad but not as devastated as she thought she would be. Seeing an opportunity at a mutual wedding, Shaw family rancher Maverick Prescott asked Lily to dance but within hours Maverick would fall ill, and Lily would become nursemaid and protector of our story line hero. Several days together would turn into something more but something of which Maverick struggles to accept. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between our Maverick and Lily, as Maverick continues to believe he is not worthy of Lily’s love.

The world building focuses on the growing relationship between our story line couple; the hard work and potential threats to a large horsing ranch, and the potential for heart break as Maverick struggles with demons from the past.

The relationship between Maverick and Lily begins as friends although Maverick has been in love with Lily from the first time they met. Knowing Lily was pining after her childhood friend, Maverick would watch from the sidelines as Lily finally accepted there would be nothing more. As Lily and Maverick’s relationship continues to grow, the past returns demanding another chance. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is another large ensemble cast of colorful, familiar and fun secondary and supporting characters from both of the aforementioned series including Lily’s parents Tanner and Timberlynn, her uncles Brock and Ty, several cousins, as well as her ex best friend Ben.

LOVED ENOUGH is a story of family and friendships, relationships and love. The premise is delightful and lively; the characters are sassy, animated and determined; the romance is seductive and spicy.

Rose Shaw’s best friend Loren is dating Seattle Mariner’s baseball player Nick Rossi, and as such, while visiting Loren, Rose was invited to a post-game party where she would meet and spend one glorious night together with Mariner’s pitcher Bryson Robinson, a night in which she would ghost our story line hero. Bryson Robinson had fallen instantly in love with Rose Shaw but Rose had been burned in the past, and she would push away at every opportunity, hurting Bryson Robinson in the process. Bryson Robinson knew immediately Rose was the woman with whom he wanted to spend his life, and went about seducing not only her family but everyone involved.

The relationship between Bryson and Rose begins as a one night stand in which Bryson woke alone. Rose struggled with her attraction to a man she believed would destroy her heart, while Bryson battled between his career and the woman he knew he had to pursue.
