As retribution, the ruthless master vampire, Arcuro, captures one of Kennedy’s closest allies. Despite the advice from those around her, she refuses to let Arcuro’s actions go unanswered.

Kennedy must navigate the politics of the paranormal world to form new alliances, but one tiny misstep could result in disaster, and one small act of indiscretion might reveal feelings Kennedy has tried so hard to ignore. With doubts chipping away at her confidence and old enemies resurfacing, Kennedy comes up with a risky plan. Can she outwit the cunning master vampire? Or will her resolve to undermine him lead her down a treacherous path, putting The Rain and everyone around her in jeopardy?

Review:

Fused in Earth and Stone by Sandy Williams is the 3rd book in her wonderful Kennedy Rain series. Refresher: Kennedy Rain, our heroine, is in sole control of the Rain Hotel. What makes the Rain Hotel unique?   The hotel is a null zone for paranormals, with a treaty that has been in effect for hundreds of years; a place to recover, be at peace, or just time to relax with no pressure; a werewolf can avoid the full moon or a vampire can see the sun, or recover from an injury. The Werewolves and Vampires, plus some other unknow species take turns to come and stay at the hotel.

Kennedy is still forbidding the werewolves or vampires to enter the Rain Hotel, despite both the Wolves and Vampire leaders being very angry with her.  Kennedy knows that Shelli, the witch and her coven were the ones who killed her parents, and she wants revenge. With the inn still closed, Kennedy realizes she needs to do something to open the hotel, and allows any unsanctioned paranorms that are willing to put their names on a list that she puts up, without the approval the Lehr (or Arcuro). A number of wolves enter the hotel, which sets off a chain of events.

Beside Lehr (Werewolf leader) being angry, it is the ruthless Arcuro (Vampire master) who acts out by capturing Daegen, one of Kennedy’s allies.  Though Jared, Nora, Blake try to tell Kennedy that there is no hope to save Daegen; but she is determined to find a way to save him.  Kennedy will devise a risky plan to meet with old ancient vampires to help kill Arcuro.  Will the plan work?

When everything falls apart, she finds herself, as well as Christian, in extreme danger, with their lives in jeopardy.  Not only has an old enemy resurfaced, Kennedy will need to be a step ahead to defeat the evil who killed her parents.  Blake will also put himself in danger, when trying to rescue Kennedy at the hands of Arcuro. Can they outwit the nasty master vampire?

Kennedy is also determined to keep her human friends safe, as they have never been aware of the hotel, and the paranormals.  I liked Kennedy, who was a great heroine, as she was as stubborn as ever.  I have hoped at some time in the future, she and Blake might have a possible romance in future books; though the werewolf leader would never allow it.

What follows is a, tense and exciting story, with Kennedy in the middle of it all. There was so much action from start to finish, I could not put the book down; as it was an edge of your seat thriller.  I do not want to tell too much more, as it would ruin it for you.  As we raced to the climax, with the evil always threatening Kennedy, I really liked the ending and can’t wait for the next book. Fused in Earth and Stone was an excellent addition to this series, which was very well written by Sandy Williams

Review:

Bound by Bloodsong by Sandy Williams is the 2nd book in her wonderful Kennedy Rain series.  Refresher: Kennedy Rain, our heroine, returned home to her family’s unique Rain Hotel, to run it while her parents were on vacation. With the death of her parents, she is now in sole control of the hotel.

Kennedy is determined to find out who killed her parents, and bans both werewolves and vampires from the hotel, at last until she can find who betrayed her family. At first, Kennedy feels the werewolves are behind the murder, but things change when an evil enemy becomes a major threat.  Kennedy is also determined to keep her human friends safe, as they never knew about the hotel. She’ll need to build strong walls against their magic and manipulations.

I liked Kennedy, who was a great heroine, though I thought she was a bit unreasonable at times.   Blake, the second in command, for the werewolves was a hunk, who truly liked Kennedy, and I expect a possible romance in future books; but she never allowed herself to succumb to his advances. It was nice to see Nora (werewolf) and Jared (vampire) again, with the leaders of the werewolf/vampires determined not to allow them to marry.  Kennedy learns her family was trying to help Astrid, a lone and ancient witch, who was Kennedy’s friend, and soon suspicions arise about a major coven trying to force Astrid to their group.

What follows is a wonderful fun, tense and exciting story, with Kennedy in the middle of it all.  There is a dark enemy out there who will stop at nothing to sabotage the treaty, including causing her harm, and she has no idea who to trust. But as we race to the climax, we learn more about the powerful coven, who want to destroy everything.  Kennedy must come up with a plan to stop the enemy, keep the hotel safe, and get magical friends to help her.  Can she survive?

I do not want to say too much more, as it would spoil things, since you do need to read this book from start to finish.  Bound by Bloodsong was an excellent addition to this series, which was very well written by Sandy Williams.  I for one cannot wait for the next book.

Review:

A Clash of Moonlight by Sandy Williams is a novella, which is sort of a prequel based on her Kennedy Rain series, focusing on Nora and Jared.

Nora, is a werewolf, who is the daughter of their Alpha pack. She is with her human friends at the local bar, when a vampire makes advances to one of her friends, she forces him to leave her alone. At that moment, she recognizes that the vampire, Jared, is the enforcer and scion for the cruelest master vampire.  Nora and Jared fight it out in private, until they both end up in a wild one-night stand.

Both Nora and Jared cannot resist their physical attraction to each other, not to mention the off the wall chemistry between them. The relationship continues to grow, with each knowing they are on dangerous grounds, since the werewolves and vampires are pushing for a threat of war.

What follows is a tumultuous affair that they hide, which in a short period, turns to love.  Can they break it off, knowing how dangerous this was for both sides?  Both Jared and Nora have seconds who try their best to break it up, since if their leaders would find out, they could pay dearly.  It was nice to see how Nora and Jared ended up together, especially with their possible nuptials in the Kennedy Rain previous book.

A Clash of Moonlight was a fun, streamy romance between two people totally different and unlikely pairing; but at the same time, it was a very sexy read.  I loved Nora and Jared together, as they made an awesome couple. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out, as I cannot wait for the next Kennedy Rain book. A Clash of Moonlight is very well written by Sandy Williams

Description:
They trusted her to keep the peace between the paranorms. They made a mistake.

Kennedy escaped the family business when she turned eighteen. Now, an ill-timed vacation pulls her back to The Rain Hotel, the only known null zone on the planet. It’s a place where vampires can see the sun rise and werewolves can avoid the lure of the full moon. And it would be the perfect place for a paranormal wedding…if the bride wasn’t the local alpha’s daughter and the groom the scion of a vicious master vampire.

With a sexy werewolf determined to sabotage the wedding and dark forces threatening The Rain, Kennedy’s life is thrown out of balance when she’s forced to confront a past, she swore to avoid. Ultimately, she must choose: will she maintain the stability of the supernatural world…or will she destroy it.

Review:

A Void of Magic by Sandy Williams is the 1st book in her new Kennedy Rain series. Kennedy Rain, our heroine, has returned home to her family’s unique Rain Hotel. Her parents, who have run the hotel for many years, have gone on vacation and Kennedy, has been summoned to run the hotel in their absence. Kennedy knows how good her mother and father are in handling every issue, and keeping the peace; but she hated it, and left to go to school at 18.

Kennedy was a great heroine, though a bit more stubborn and tough then her parents, and at times I thought she went a bit overboard, but she really stood up to them all, not letting them intimidate her.  Nora (a werewolf) comes to the hotel and gives Kennedy money for a wedding she wants to have at the hotel.  Kennedy does everything in her power to tell Nora that this was not a good idea, especially since her groom to be was an ancient Vampire.  This would cause bitter fights and chaos.  Kennedy also learns while running things, that the hotel is in financial straits.

With both Vampires and Werewolves are determined to stop this wedding, Kennedy finds herself in the middle of a battle she really wanted no part of.  Blake, the second in command, for the werewolves tries to get Kennedy to help stop the wedding, which will blow up, causing her to have more angst.  Blake was a charming hunk, who truly liked Kennedy, and I expect a possible romance in future books; but Blake answers to his boss, no matter what.

What follows is a wonderful fun, tense and exciting story, with Kennedy in the middle of it all.  A tragedy will occur that will change the game, making Kennedy’s life more difficult and dangerous.  There is a dark enemy out there who will stop at nothing to sabotage the treaty, including causing her harm, and she has no idea who to trust. Will she help keep the Rain Hotel stable for the paranorms?

I do not want to say too much more, as it would spoil things, since you do need to read this book from start to finish.  A Void of Magic was a sensational start to this new series, which was very well written by Sandy Williams.  I for one cannot wait for the next book.

Sandy Williams writes urban fantasy and science fiction, both with a strong shot of romance. She’s a fan of the enemies-to-lovers trope and loves books with high stakes and fantastical settings. When she’s not being a bookworm, she loves playing board and card games like Dominion, Quacks of Quedlinburg, Dungeon Petz, etc (but not Goblins because she ALWAYS loses that damn game). Her next book, A Void of Magic, releases in the summer of 2021.
