This is twenty-six year old Nikolai ‘Nik’ Malikov, and twenty-year old Kenzie Wheeler’s story line. DIRTY DEVIL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Told from dual first person perspectives (Nik and Kenzie) DIRTY DEVIL follows in the aftermath of the bombing of the restaurant La Gioia, a restaurant co-owned by our story line hero. Kenzie Wheeler wants revenge against the people she believes killed her father, and with the help of her siblings and her uncle Hank, Kenzie sets a plan into motion to destroy the Malikov family one business operation at a time but all does not go according to plan when, in the aftermath of the attack, Kenzie and her siblings find themselves prisoners of the Malikov family, as the family struggles in the face of destruction and death. As Luka Malikov battles between life and death, Nikolai takes aim at our story line heroine. Demanding her complete submission, Nikolai must come to terms with the feisty and belligerent female that is claiming his heart, a heart he thought was dead and cold. What ensues is the acrimonious but building relationship between Nikolai and Kenzie, and the potential fall-out as betrayal comes from outside and within, a betrayal that focuses on Nikolai Malikov, and the woman with whom he is falling in love.

The relationship between Kenzie and Nikolai begins as prisoner and warden. Nikolai Malikov wants information but the torture of a woman is not something Nikolai wants or craves. Keeping Kenzie his prisoner means up close and personal with the woman that will steal his heart but Kenzie is not an easy prisoner, pushing all of Nikolai’s buttons at every opportunity. Kenzie will eventually discover she make a horrible mistake, used as a tool to manipulate the Malilkov family. The $ex scenes are intimate,aggressive and provocative, and not without some issues of questionable consent.

The secondary and supporting characters included Kenzie’s siblings Noah and Charley, and their uncle Hank Wheeler; auto mechanic Torres, Alek Severinov, Boris Vetrov; We are re-introduced to Nik’s siblings: Luka and Natasha (Twisted Tyrant 1), Danil, Taras, and Tori. The requisite evil has some familiar faces.

DIRTY DEVIL is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, grief and loss, forgiveness and love. The premise is dark, gritty and impassioned -the Malikov family must still contend with the secret society known as The Brotherhood 7 who are taking aim at the surviving siblings; the romance is seductive and impassioned; the characters are broken, desperate and trying to heal.

The fast paced premise is dramatic, dark and gritty; the romance is provocative; the characters are edgy and animated ….but saying that, there is a question of believability in the face of a lack of in-house, personal and property security for the Ivanokov family and its’ organization-questionable on so many levels affecting the believability from the start. KILLER KISS ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

REVIEW: SAVAGE HUNTER is the fifth instalment in Kristen Luciani’s contemporary, adult SINFULLY SAVAGE MAFIA erotic, Mafia, romance series. This is assassin Zeno Villani, and veterinarian student Lily Salesi’s story line. SAVAGE HUNTER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous storylines is revealed where necessary. The SINFULLY SAVAGE MAFIA is a spin off /cross over series with the author’s Severinov Bratva series, and Mob Lust series. Several characters cross over for cohesion.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Zeno and Lily) SAVAGE HUNTER follows in the aftermath of Mafia assassin Zeno Villani’s latest assignment. Now hiding in Las Vegas, Zeno comes face to face with the daughter of the man who hired our hero, a woman off limits in more ways than he could have ever imagined. Enter Lily Salesi, the only daughter of Mafioso Joe Salesi, and the woman with whom Zeno will fall in love. What ensues is the building, back and forth relationship between Zeno and Lily, as our couple must navigate a series of attempts on their lives, as each has been targeted for reprisal and revenge.

The Villani family had been invited to join the Red Ladro Syndicate but first the Villiani family was put to the test, a test in which Zeno was ordered to take out a member of a rival family but Zeno’s ‘failure’ to get the job done, has placed a target on our hero’s back, a target that landed Zeno in Las Vegas Nevada. As the only daughter of Mafia Kingpin Joe Salesi, Lily has been targeted on more than one occasion, having had to defend herself before help had arrived. When she and Zeno find themselves the victims of another attempted take down, neither one is sure who is the intended target.

The relationship between Zeno and Lily is one of immediate attraction but Zeno has been warned off and away from our story line heroine, a warning of which Lily has not been aware. Believing Zeno had ghosted her more than once, Lily struggles with her attraction to a man she knows nothing about. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Zeno’s brother Gallo, and their cousin Sergio Villani (SAVAGE LIAR 2), Russian Bratva and members of the Red Ladro Syndicate Alek Severinov and his brother Kazimir (Merciless/Severinov Bratva 1); Lily’s brother Nico (Screwing the Mob/ Ruling the Mob/Mob Lust 1 & 2), and their father Joe; Rocco and Katarina Lucchese (Crushing the Mob/Mob Lust 5); Tommy Marcone; Lily’s friend Chloe. The requisite evil has many faces.

REVIEW:TARNISHED THRONE is the third and final instalment in Kristen Luciani’s contemporary, adult RECKLESS REIGN dark, erotic, Irish Mafia, romance series focusing on Kyla Costigan, and Patrick Mulligan. TARNISHED THRONE should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events and cliff hanger of book two VICIOUS VOWS. The RECKLESS REIGN series is a spin off from the author’s SINFULLY SAVAGE series but you do not have to have read the previous series to follow although several characters cross over, and references are made to past events.

SOME BACKGROUND: The Mulligan family and empire continues to crumble from within. Patrick Mulligan is the new head of the Mulligan family, and with it comes the responsibility of cleaning the corruption that continues to reign. With the family near bankrupt, and his father’s failing health, a debt is called in, forcing Patrick to make a deal with the Cartel, a deal that is more dark and dangerous than he could have ever imagined

Told from dual first person perspectives TARNISHED THRONE picks up following the wedding of our story line couple, a marriage meant to merge the families, saving the Mulligans from financial ruin but Patrick’s father’s health quickly deteriorates, leaving Patrick struggling to stop the fall out that is rapidly tearing the Mulligan family apart. As his brother Niall’s spiral hits rock bottom, Patrick, along with Villani brothers (Sinfully Savage series) must devise a plan to take down the Cartel but the Cartel is the least of their worries when it is discovered that Bobby Costigan, Kyla’s father, has contracted with the Russian Bratva, and our heroine is now in the direct line of fire.

The relationship between Kyla and Patrick began a best friend’s younger sister affair in which Patrick had ghosted our story line heroine but an assassin had left Kyla a shell of her former self, and with it, the rebuilding relationship with Patrick was meant to secure the families’ place at the proverbial criminal underworld table. Kyla and Patrick’s love for one another is passionate and intense; the $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and seductive.

As in the previous instalments, there is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Kyla’s brother Logan, and their father Bobby Costigan; Patrick’s brothers Quinn and Niall, their father Declan; Patrick’s sister Heaven, her husband Matteo, and his brothers Massimo, Roman and Dante Villani (Sinfully Savage series); Cartel boss Pedro Castillo, and his sister Carmen. The requisite evil has many faces.

TARNISHED THRONE is another story of power and control; betrayal and vengeance; secrets, lies, obsession and love. The premise is dramatic and consuming; the romance is provocative; the characters are energetic, colorful and tenacious.
