Told from dual first person perspectives (Audrey and Dylan) SWEET LIAR follows the May-December, relationship between forty-two year old, businessman Dylan Locke, and twenty-three year old, college student Audrey Lind. Dylan’s time in the USA comes with an expiry date but time spent with Audrey Lind gives him pause for the future. Audrey’s attraction to Dylan Locke is immediate and intense but what our heroine lacks in experience she makes up for with seduction and fun. Hoping to gain the sexual experience she so desperately wants, Audrey makes Dylan an offer he cannot refuse. What ensues is the building sexual relationship between Audrey and Dylan as Dylan shows Audrey the art of ‘sex’, and the fall-out as their time together comes to a close.

SWEET LIAR is a quick read; an erotic story between an older, experienced man and a younger woman whose enthusiasm is matched by her need to learn. Several of the Dirty Games Duet characters cross over for cohesion and familiarity including Audrey’s sister Sabrina Lindt, as well as Donovan Kincaid and Weston King. The premise is inviting; the characters are fun and flirty; the romance is erotic, seductive and intense but saying that I didn’t feel the palpable sexual attraction between our leading couple-there was limited time to build a romantic relationship and therefore it felt more carnal and businesslike than anything else.

I recommend reading the series in order for backstory and cohesion especially as it pertains to Hudson and Alayna’s earlier relationship.

Told from dual first person points of view (Hudson and Alayna) FIXED FOREVER fast forwards the series several years, and focuses on the threats against billionaire businessman Hudson Pierce, and the woman he loves, his wife Alayna Withers-Pierce. Several months into her second pregnancy, threatening letters, of a personal nature, began to arrive from an unknown source. Trying to keep the letters a secret from his wife, Hudson hires more security in an attempt to alleviate the threats to his family but all does not go according to plan when, months later, Alayna discovers the truth and begins an investigation of her own. With Hudson’s colorful and deceitful past, any number of suspects are possible including the woman, Celia Werner, who helped mastermind the games Hudson played with so many lives.

FIXED FOREVER reveals the some of the questionable enterprises upon which Hudson (and Celia) embarked in an attempt to play their dangerous games of lies and deceit. We are reintroduced to Alayna’s nemesis, and Hudson’s former ‘partner’ Celia Werner, and her husband Edward Fasbender. Celia and Edward’s story is next with the release of SLAY book one, in the author’s spin off series the Slay Trilogy slated for June 2019. I will add that there is some confusion as it pertains to the similarity in names especially as it concerned Mira (Mirabelle), and Mina (Hudson and Alayna’s daughter), as well as Hudson, and his son Holden. The resemblance made for some confusing moments.

FIXED FOREVER is a story of betrayal, secret and lies; vengeance, jealousy, and retribution; romance, love, and a happily ever after. The premise is intriguing, suspenseful and captivating; the characters are familiar, colorful and charismatic; the romance is erotic, passionate and intense. Laurelin Paige writes an impassioned story about two people whose love for one another is tested, one betrayal at a time.

If she’d needed a day or two in bed, upset and processing and obsessively looking through pictures of the event on social media, what would that have mattered?

I trusted her to come back to me when she was through her anxiety.

Maybe that was the key. Maybe she wasn’t punishing me —but rather, was testing me. Seeing if I was capable of actually letting her go to work and not interfering. Not showing up, cold and demanding, when she lost track of time.

Trish Bisceglia does not do relationships or commitment but enjoys the sexual freedom of the kinkier aspects of sex and everything it has to offer. Nathan Sinclair is a man who likes to watch, a voyeur, who likes what he sees in our story line heroine, and intends to seduce said heroine into something more. The premise is sexy and hot. The characters are colorful and dynamic but the character building is limited- we know very little about their backgrounds or history prior to their fateful and unexpected meeting. The romance is spicy and edgy; the club sex scenes are dirty minded and erotic.

I wore satin that Saturday night, a long blue slip dress with slits up both sides. I never wore underwear to the parties. They were too much of an inconvenience, and the few times I had worn them, I’d just ended up giving them away as souvenirs. I liked nice lingerie. I preferred to keep most of it.
The shoes I wore—simple heels, easy to slip off—were also standard for an evening at the Open Door. But somehow I felt simultaneously more dressed up and more naked than I had in a long time. I left my hair down, and it fell long past my shoulders in dark, nearly black waves. It felt less like I was going to a weekly party and more like I was going on a date. A glamorous date.
It was a signal that I should not go.
But I went. Nothing could have kept me away.

Somehow I was sure I’d just broken one of my rules. I didn’t know which one, and I didn’t even care.

DIRTY FILTHY RICH LOVE is a well written and engaging story line but I struggle with labeling Donovan’s actions. I am probably in the minority but what others saw as passion, protective, love and seductive, I saw something disturbing, obsessive, over the top, and dangerous. In the real world, there are laws to protect victims from the what, why and how of Donovan Kincaid; DIRTY FILTHY RICH LOVE redefines and changes the boundaries of obsession, romanticizing that which would otherwise be dangerous and out of control. The premise is startling; the romance is controversial and intense; the characters are damaged, bold and alive. DIRTY FILTHY RICH LOVE’s rush to the finish was a little disconcerting; Sabrina’s need for Donovan Kincaid is the perfect complement to our hero’s questionable nature and the justification of his actions as protection and love.

“Oh, hi! I didn’t see you there.” I sounded flustered and on

edge. “Sorry to have surprised you.” The man’s head

tipped toward

me. “Emily, right?” he asked, as he exhaled a puff of smoke.

I squinted at him, trying to place him, but I couldn’t. In

fact, I was certain I hadn’t seen him before. He had to be one

of the ranch guests, which didn’t explain how he knew me.

“That’s right,” I said tentatively. “I don’t think we’ve met.”

He tilted his head as he took another slow draw from his

ciga- rette. “Nope. We haven’t.” Even in the dark, I didn’t

miss the hun- gry way his eyes groped my frame.

He took a step toward me, and I readied myself to run. Just

then, the front door slammed open. I looked up to the porch

to see a couple of Reeve’s men leaving the house. W hen I

turned back, the man wasn’t there anymore. I glanced around

and caught sight of him circling around behind the building.

A man didn’t run off that easily if he hadn’t had ill intent.

I shivered. I wondered if all of the guests were that

creepy. No wonder Reeve was wary of them. Suddenly, I

wanted to run and tell him about the encounter.

Then, at the top of the stairs, I noticed his door was shut,

which meant he was in there. But what if he wasn’t alone?

What if the con- versation with Amber at dinner had led them

to his bedroom?

Before I let myself get worked up, I looked to Amber’s

door. It was shut too. It was the first time I’d seen it closed

since her arrival, and my mind jumped to a hundred different

possible conclusions. Maybe she was exercising her new

babysitter-free status. Maybe she was puking again in the

bathroom and wanted privacy. Or she was making out with

one of the ranchers. Or crying over whatever Reeve had said

to her after I’d left them.

Or she wasn’t in there at all.

I could easily knock on her door to find out, but I wasn’t

could face her if she answered, and I was absolutely sure I

couldn’t take it if she didn’t.

Hoping I would be better equipped to handle the situation

after a good night’s sleep, I retreated to my own room with a

too frazzled for sleep. And I was cold. My evening walk had

set a chill in my bones that lingered even in the warm house.

W hile I wished it was Reeve warming me up, a hot shower

would be just as effec- tive at raising my body temperature and

would also calm my nerves.

I stripped, tossing my clothes onto the chair in the corner

of my room, then went to start the shower. I turned the water on

without getting in, sticking my hand under the stream until

it was hot enough. Then I crossed to the linen closet at the

other end of the bathroom and picked out a couple of towels.

When I shut the door, I turned back toward the shower and

nearly jumped out of my skin. “Reeve!” I patted my

in my chest. “Goddammit, you scared the hell out of me.”

Between his sneaky arrival and the lurking cowboy outside,

I wouldn’t have been surprised if I was on my way to a heart

attack.

His lip curled up with amusement.

I scowled. “I’m glad you think sending me to an early

grave is funny.” But I wasn’t really irritated by his arrival in

the least. I was glad, and I was certain the accelerated tempo

of my heart rate had as much to do with his appearance at all

as it did with the element of surprise.

He leaned his hip against the vanity and folded his arms

across his chest, a position that highlighted both his broad

shoulders and toned biceps. “You like it when I keep you

guessing,” he said dis- missively, not an entirely inaccurate

statement, though it was a bit discomforting that he knew it so

breastbone, trying to calm the thudding

well.

“And I like you on your toes,” he added, his eyes dark as

they slid the length of my body. I felt them like silk as they

caressed over

the slopes of my breasts, down the plane of my stomach,

zeroing in on the landing strip above my pussy. Suddenly I’d
