ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date June 11, 2024

I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth.

Mine was gold, diamond encrusted, and held in place by household staff.

With a trust fund I’d never be able to blow through, I didn’t need to work a day in my life. I sure as hell didn’t need the kind of job I had.

But I wasn’t in it for the money. It was for personal satisfaction. A love of a job well done. What’s that saying about never working a day in your life if you love breaking fingers and burying bodies where they’ll never be found?

I might be paraphrasing, but it was still the truth.

My boss’ wife called me a goon—and she wasn’t wrong. As second-in-command, I did whatever needed to keep Black Resorts running smoothly. That often included the aforementioned violence since Vegas wasn’t short on people who deserved it.

The rarity was those who deserved protection.

Like Mila.

Liar. Thief. And my little ray of pessimistic sunshine.

Her spoon wasn’t silver. Hell, it wasn’t even a spoon. It was a plastic spork that she hustled and fought for, and she’d always done it alone.

But that changed the second she nearly passed out in my arms.

She called me a behemoth.

I wanted her to call me Daddy.

REVIEW:Little Sunshine is the second installment in the Black Resorts series by the brilliant Layla Frost. As a long time fan of this author, I recommend reading book one in the series before dipping your toes in with Ash and Mila, while it is not required, the book can be read as a standalone, but one is just as yummy. Little Sunshine is a slow burn, age gap, BDSM romance.

Mila life has its own personal little black rain cloud 🌧️ that has followed her around since…well birth if I think about it. Her Mom is the worst, and with her latest round of crazy has put poor Mila in one of the worst positions ever. A position of desperation. One that leads her to do something so stupid, but even more, it may have just saved her life. After getting caught stealing at her job, she is caught by Daddy Ash, insisting she return what she took, Mila takes off. Fight or flight and all that right? Too bad for Mila though, flight is always her go to. Now don’t get this story wrong, Daddy Ash isn’t a knight in shining armor. He is an anti-hero through and through, but one in designer suits and ready and willing to get his hands dirty for her.

Throughout this slow burn romance, I was waiting for a few things to happen and when they did, boy oh boy was the slow burn worth the wait! When Mila FINALLY stands up to her hella shady Mother was one of the best parts of this book lol Seeing Mila learn to trust Ash, and him finally earning that trust from her was so so good. And lets not forget the spice that this book has because of course there is plenty, the rope play was personally a hand fanning moment for me. Overall I can both read and feel how much love and care Ms. Author put into her work and I am so pleased to have read it. If you love an anti-hero who will do anything for his love, Daddy/Dom play and a HEA then this is definitely the read for you!

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date February 1, 2024

You know the deal by now. Fated mates. Nefarious baddies. Grumpy-sunshine. And all the spicy tension.

I’d been called a lot of things.

Cold.
Cynical.
Jaded.

An antisocial basta—You get the point.

I’d say it came with being an overworked doctor, but that wasn’t the case. In my own personal purgatory, I’d lost touch with what I was meant to do—who I was.
Until I got stuck in a hospital elevator with a beautiful, broken woman. Comforting her through hell reminded me why I’d become a doctor in the first place.
I had no clue why, but the hippie goddess consumed my thoughts. I was obsessed. From the first touch, I knew I wasn’t going to let her go.
And that was before I got my memories back.

At the best of times, I was crap at relationships—and we were far from the best of times.
Thrust into a war I’d forgotten, I had to find a way to explain that we were targets of the soul stealing organization that’d cursed me.
That magicks, fate, Heaven, and Hell were not just tales.
That she was my mate.
The literal other half of my soul.
Unequivocally mine.

REVIEW:Let’s see if I can keep this short and sweet…Broken is book three in the paranormal romance series by Layla Frost. The first two books, Styx and Stoned must be read before going into Broken, there is far too much goodness that happens in the first two books that readers can’t miss.

Lennon and Lilith’s story was the best way to start off the month of love. These two are such a kick in the pants together, even without all the other drama going on in the storyline, the two main leads will take you on the best adventure. Readers who love a little grumpy/sunshine romance, tossed in with fated mates and paranormal vibes, you will love Broken. Be warned though fellow readers, you will live in all your feels for a while after this one! I sure did.

Fantastic job to Ms. Author, we patiently waited for the next book in the Four series, and I can totally say it was well worth the wait. But I totally can’t wait to see what comes next of our lovely little group of crazies.

Growing up, Layla Frost used to hide under her blanket with a flashlight to read the Sweet Valley High books she pilfered from her older sister. It wasn’t long before she was reading hidden Harlequins during class at school. This snowballed into pulling all-nighters after the promise of “just one more chapter”.

Her love of reading, especially the romance genre, took root early and has grown immeasurably until it was time to write her own stories.

When she’s not writing, Layla Frost is an insomniac with a deep love of iced coffee, tchotchkes, plants, and her hens. She’s also the world’s okayest mom, but her kids think she’s cool… ish.
