The world building focuses on a new start for the Kent brothers, as well as our heroine. Betrayal from her co-workers sent Brooke on the run; a perceived witness to a crime forced Bay and Shane on the run.

The relationship between Brooke, Bay and Shane is a reverse harem. The small town of Bliss Colorado is known for their unusual partnerships, threesomes and more, and in this, Shane and Bay were looking for that one woman to share their life. Brooke believes her stay in Bliss is only temporary but our heroine finds herself falling in love with both Bay and Shane. The $ex scenes are erotic and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of familiar, diverse and energetic secondary and supporting characters including Brooke’s brothers Max and Rye, and their wife Rachel.

BROOKE’S BLISS is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, family and friendships, relationships and love. The character driven premise is dramatic and edgy; the romance is seductive and intense; the characters are charismatic, dynamic and desperate.

REVIEW: SPY WITH ME is the fifth instalment in Lexi Blake’s contemporary, adult MASTERS AND MERCENARIES: NEW RECRUITS erotic, Dom/sub , second generation romance series, set in the author’s numerous interconnected series: Master and Mercenaries: Texas Sirens/ Nights in Bliss (written as Sophie Oak). This is CIA operative, deep ops agent Captain Zach Reed, and fashion designer Devi Taggart’s story line. Devi is the daughter of Theo and Erin Taggart. SPY WITH ME can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion, I recommend reading the series in order as there is an ongoing premise throughout. The character driven premise is edgy and dramatic; the romance is passionate and inspirational; the characters are desperate, broken yet struggling to heal. The epilogue fast forwards the story line one year wherein in the threesome must work on themselves as well as their relationship.

As Harper struggles with her loss of control on the project, her position as CEO of the family run construction business is threatened by jealousy and greed. Here’s hoping the author has plans for Reid’s brother Jeremiah.

The character driven premise is thought provoking, twisted and emotional; the romance is seductive; the characters are real, vulnerable and spirited.

Kala struggles with understanding emotions of the heart-naïve to some extent but a woman who is struggling with what I can only believe is a neuro-divergent persona. “I was helping out a client,” she began.
“Uhm, Mr. Taggart, I would like to make it clear we didn’t hire Daisy as a private investigator.” Her bosses were here, too. Harlow and Ruby sat at the opposite end of the table, and Harlow seemed to be the one who wanted to set the record straight.
“She was supposed to answer the phones.” Ruby frowned her way.
She was going to have to soothe her bosses. Things had done what they so often did in Daisy’s life. They had gone awry.
To top things off, her brother was somewhere in the building. Aidan had been the one to drive her up, and he’d told her he needed to go talk to his newest roommate.
Nathan Carter. Big, gorgeous Nathan Carter, who’d barely known she’d existed past being his friend’s obnoxious sister.
She hadn’t seen Nate in years. Was he still stunning? He probably had a girlfriend.
“Daisy?” Her mother’s voice brought her out of her reverie. “Uncle Ian asked you a question.”
Of all the grave faces around the table, it was her aunt and uncle who broke the mold and looked highly amused.
“I asked how you went from answering the phones to taking down a drug cartel,” Uncle Ian said, his lips curling up. He leaned in like he was ready for this story.
