REVIEW:GOOD TO BE BAD is the third instalment in the contemporary, adult BAD LOVE erotic romance series co-authored by Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente. This is bakery owner Gigi James and British businessman Weston ‘West’ Byron’s story line. GOOD TO BE BAD can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. We were first introduced to Gigi in book two GOOD WITH HIS HANDS.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Gigi and West) GOOD TO BE BAD follows in the wake of a one-night stand between bakery owner Gigi James and British businessman Weston ‘West’ Byron, a one night stand wherein the morning after will reveal that Weston Byron is the new owner of the soon to be open “Tea and Empathy” a café in direct competition with our story line heroine, both in business and a local bake-off for bragging rights in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Weston Byron had no idea the woman with whom he spent one glorious night is the woman who would own his heart but when it is revealed that our couple are in direct competition with one another, all bets are off until neither one is able to stop the feels and emotions that continue to grow. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between West and Gigi, and the potential fall-out as sabotage and secrets threaten to destroy Gigi’s chances at winning the prize.

The relationship between Gigi and West begins as a one-night stand but neither one is aware of who and what the other one represents. Believing she has been deceived, Gigi pushes West out of her life but the heart wants something more when she realizes she may have been a little too hasty and angry with her outburst and frustration. West never expected to fall to the flamboyant little baker but when the time came to prove she was worthy of his love, Gigi knew she was the grand prize winner both in her heart and life. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and erotic without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are reintroduced to Gigi’ best friend and cousin Ruby Valentine (Good With His Hands 2), as well as Gigi’s brother Harrison, and their grandmother; and Weston Byron’s sister Abby; fellow bakers Willow Thompson, and Frederick Hawley.

GOOD TO BE BAD is a wonderful and enjoyable story line of family, friendships and love. The premise is entertaining and enjoyable; the romance is seductive and captivating; the characters are fun and flirty.
