The Seduction of Kinley Foster by Lisa Wells – a Review

The Seduction of Kinley FosterAmazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo / BAM / The Book Depository

Description:
Librarian Kinley Foster wants to write erotic romance—the steamy, sexy, curl-your-toes kind of stuff. The problem? She desperately needs a little erotic inspiration. And at a romance convention in Vegas, she finds it…or rather him. The sizzlingly sexy guy who refused Kinley—and her virginity—when she was sixteen.

Now it’s time for a little payback.

Literary agent Ian Thompson is a professional. Mentoring an aspiring author is one thing. Giving her a thorough and thoroughly satisfying sexy education is quite another. Especially when she’s as stunning and deliciously curvaceous as Kinley. Yet Ian can’t help himself when Kinley makes him a wager he can’t resist. A wager that will tempt Ian to cross every professional—and every sensual—boundary in the book…

Review:

Kinley Foster is determined to become a published author or erotic romance.  Even though she’s written her manuscript, she’s been told it’s missing something.  She decides to hit up a Romance Convention in Las Vegas to shop her story and to, hopefully, get some inspiration.  Once she lands in Vegas and sees none other than Ian Thompson, her brother’s best friend and the one she yearned for as a teenager, standing there.  Waiting for her!  Seems her brother had let Ian know that Kinley would be in Vegas and wanted him to keep an eye on her.  Oh yeah, and she had no idea that he was a very successful agent……….

Even though she’s still mad at him for rebuffing her advances when she was a teenager, she’s even angrier at him because she caught him on that fateful day with none other than her brother’s fiancé……… Or so it seemed.  Funny thing about timing.  As they say, it’s everything.

The Seduction of Kinley Foster is a well written story that is as fun as it is sweet…and a little hot!  Even though Kinley, at times, acted like she was still that 16 year old (instead of 26) who had her heart ripped out, she was fun to read about.  She’s torn between needing to still be mad at Ian and still being head over heals for the guy whom she thinks took her brother’s fiancé.  She still can’t believe that her brother forgave Ian, but, as I said, timing is everything.  Ian is a great character as well.  I loved the way he and Kinley played off of each other.  And, if I’m being honest, I loved the way they almost tormented each other.  After all, she came to Vegas to get some tips on writing romance and he was all too willing to help.

This is the first book I’ve read by Lisa Wells, and even though it’s #15 in a series, there is no problem in reading this as a stand along.  I had no idea it was a series until I went in search of the blurb about the book for this review.  If you’re looking for a quick and fun read with a couple of great characters, you cannot go wrong with this one.  Well done, Lisa Wells!
