Review:

London Calling by Veronica Forand is intense, fast paced and full of action. This book reminded me of the mission impossible movies.

Emma is a small town policewoman, she loves it, she knows everyone and she’s good at her job.  She gets a call about her dad, so she rushes to the UK; where she is then held by MI6 !!! Why ???   (Emma doesn’t realize her father was working for the British government, and is now missing)

Liam doesn’t trust Emma, his partner was killed and Liam thinks Emma’s father had a hand in it (and he is convinced she knows more than she is letting on).  H e does admire her spirit and loyalty, but it won’t stop him from finding Emma’s father. Even if he has to “pretend” that he REALLY likes Emma.  But what happens when Liam actually starts to fall for her ?? And when he’s ordered to kill her father…. That’s not going to help the situation.

I didn’t really get the connection between Emma and Liam, it did feel a little stilted in places (didn’t miss the sex either, the action more than made up for the absence of “action” in the bedroom)

London Falling was very well written. I would happily watch this as an action movie. It was very descriptive and I loved reading the action scenes (even if they were a little unbelievable)

I’d recommend this book to anyone who likes action and just a little romance .
