ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 27, 2022

How did the hottest hockey player in the NHL wind up braiding hair and hosting tea parties?

Because someone was foolish enough to name him co-guardian of their children. That’s how.

Cole Montgomery’s living his best life–until he gets a call from an attorney letting him know he’s been entrusted with the care of two little girls. He can’t imagine why anyone would think he was a good role model. He can’t even keep a plant alive.

Lingerie designer Hailey Casselton grew up with a free-spirited mother. So, when she finds out she’s the temporary co-guardian to two children, she’s determined to give them the best Christmas they’ve ever had. Unfortunately, she has to live with the jerk from high school who ruined her senior year.

But she gets a glimpse of the man behind Cole’s larger-than-life persona, and she likes what she sees. He might be used to living for himself, but he works hard to change his ways and meet the needs of these lost and scared girls. It doesn’t take long for her to enter dangerous territory–falling for a guy who’s never going to settle down.

Except…as much as Cole keeps saying he can’t wait to get his freedom back…he can’t deny these girls–and okay, even Hailey–have become the very best part of his life.

And he’s not quite sure what to do about that.

REVIEW: LOVE ME LIKE YOU DO is the tenth instalment in Erika Kelly’s contemporary, adult CALAMITY FALLS erotic, romance series. This is twenty-eight year old, professional hockey player Cole Montgomery, and lingerie designer Hailey Casselton’s story line. LOVE ME LIKE YOU DO can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous storylines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Cole and Hailey) LOVE ME LIKE YOU DO follows in the wake of the death of Cole and Hailey’s mutual friends Darren and Lindsey Leeson.Cole and Hailey have been named co-guardians of the couple’s three and six year old daughters but Cole is on the road for close to nine months of the year, and Hailey’s struggling to make ends meet in the lingerie business. An injury and subsequent surgery finds Cole co-parenting with our story line heroine but a scare regarding one of the children pushes Cole to walk away from the woman and the children with whom he is falling in love. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Cole and Hailey, and the potential fall-out as Cole struggles with demons from the past, forcing our hero to run when he should have remained behind.

Cole Montgomery and Hailey Casselton have a bit of a history. Cole was neglect by his mother, raised by a nanny, and watched from the sidelines as his father became a famous Hollywood star. Hailey Casselton’s childhood was spent on the road, never living in one place for an extended period of time. Hoping to finally set down roots, Hailey is prepared to build a family with the little girls left in her care but her relationship with Cole is about to threaten any possibility of co-parenting with the man that she loves.

The relationship between Cole and Hailey is a friends to frenemies to lovers relationship in which Hailey never saw herself as good enough for our story line hero. Hailey battles with memories from the past, as Cole struggles with heart break and fear going forward. The $ex scenes are seductive without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to three year old Evvie, and six year old Paisley; Cole’s father Trevor Montgomery, as well as Hailey’s mother, and several woman now working and residing in Calamity Fall, most of who we have met in the previous instalments.

LOVE ME LIKE YOU DO is a story of grief and loss, family and friendships, acceptance and forgiveness, relationships and love. The premise is emotional and captivating; the romance is passionate; the characters are broken, struggling, and charismatic.
