How far will a good girl go for the bad boy she loves?
Laney Holt is a preacher’s daughter. A good girl. Her only goal was to get married, have babies, and live happily ever after, just like her parents. Only that didn’t happen. The two people closest to her betrayed her, and Laney’s dreams came crashing down. Now she’s left with an empty space she doesn’t know how to fill. Until she meets Jake Theopolis, a daredevil with a death wish who has heartbreaker written all over him.
Jake has no interest in thinking beyond the here and now. All he wants out of life is the next rush, the next “feel-good” thing to keep his mind off the pain of his past. His latest rush? Showing Laney there’s more to life than being a good girl—and that going bad can be so much fun. Her only concern now is how she can ever hope to satisfy the wild side of a boy like Jake. She’s looking forward to trying. And so is Jake.

REVIEW: SOME LIKE IT WILD is the third storyline in M. Leighton’s contemporary, adult, erotic, romantic series The Wild Ones. This is Laney and Jake’s storyline. Jake is Jenna’s sister-first introduced in The Wild One’s and Wild Child. Following the death of his father, Jake has returned home to settle up the accounts and the will. To his surprise and pleasure, Laney Holt, a woman he kissed four years earlier at the local country fair, is the new paralegal assigned to assess the estate.
The storyline premise follows Laney as she endeavors to keep her business and private life separate but Jake’s sexual aura and their mutual attraction to one another begins to interfere in Laney’s accounting of the family estate. But when Laney’s family attempts to pull her away, she is pushed into the arms of the one man who is sure to set the town’s gossip mongers on high alert. Jake’s reputation as a trouble maker and lady’s man is well known; he knows he isn’t the man to bring home to the parents and in this Jake will walk away because he believes Laney deserves something more. But Jake IS Laney’s something more and she must prove to the man that she loves that there is no one else in her heart.
M. Leighton pulls the reader into an intimate and intense storyline; the sex scenes are passionate, sensual and erotic. Some Like It Wild is a story about moving forward and letting go of the past. Jake must exorcise his demons before he is able to open his heart and his soul and, Laney is the only woman who can tame her wild beast.

REVIEW:WILD CHILD is the second storyline in M. Leighton’s contemporary, romantic, erotic The Wild Ones series. This is Jenna and Rusty’s storyline-Jenna and Rusty are Cami and Trick’s best friends from book one The Wild Ones. The premise follows Jenna and Rusty a few days before Cami and Trick’s wedding. When Jenna reaches a crossroads in her life, Rusty pushes Jenna away at a time when they need one another –the most.
Wild Child is a short story that reveals where a lack of communication can turn a relationship inside out and upside down. As their best friend’s wedding draws near, Cami puts her heart on the line only to have it shattered when Rusty begins to shut down, preparing for the inevitable flight of the woman he loves. But two tragedies within days of each other will push our couple over the edge, and in doing so, there may be no turning back-sometimes words hurt more than broken bones.
M. Leighton writes an emotional and heartbreaking storyline. Communication between one another is the building block of all relationships and without it, love doesn’t stand a chance when misunderstandings and hurtful words aren’t meant to wound but to protect one’s heart.
WILD CHILD can be found as a bonus storyline at the back of SOME LIKE IT WILD (March 2014) and should be read prior to Some Like It Wild.
