REVIEW:  ACE is the second instalment in Marie James’ contemporary, adult CERBERUS MC TENNESSEE CHAPTER erotic MC romance series, a spin off from the author’s original CERBERUS MC series. This is former Cerberus MC members turned ICE agent, fifty nine year old Eddie ‘Ace’ Yarrow, and thirty-seven year old philanthropist Cora Preston’s story line. ACE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. Several characters from the original series including founder of the original New Mexico chapter Diego ‘Kincaid’ Anderson, Wren Nelson and Puff Daddy, Jericho and Hemlock, cross over for cohesion and back story.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Cora and Eddie) ACE follows the building relationship between our story line couple, and the search for Cora’s missing Sadie. As Ace and the Cerberus MC begin their search for the missing woman, Cora finds herself pulled into the aura that is our story line hero. What ensues is the search for Sadie Preston; the building relationship between Cora and Eddie, and the potential fall-out as Cora is targeted by a twisted mind.

The world building follows the search for a missing woman, a woman with a rebellious streak, who has struggled all of her life. From a prominent political family. Cora and her siblings always had specific roles to play but the loss of their parents found Cora taking charge when her eldest brother sought election to the highest seat in the land.

The relationship between Cora and Eddie begins acrimoniously. Eddie struggles with his latest assignment believing he is better suited to something else.Going head to head with Cora Preston forces Eddie to take charge when Cora’s life is threatened, unaware of the potential trouble she is about to unleash. Working together to find Sadie, Cora finds herself falling for a man who has been alone most of his life. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The colorful secondary and supporting characters include the return and cameo of several Cerberus MC members from the original series, as well as the introduction of Cora’s brothers, William Preston, and Christopher; and their housekeeper Faye.

ACE is a story of betrayal and madness, grief and acceptance, family and love. The premise is dramatic, intriguing and entertaining; the romance is seductive and impassioned; the characters are desperate and determined.

Reconnecting with the bikers, Sydney finds herself with a new family, friends and a future but no everyone is happy with the situation. The $ex scenes are limited but provocative.

The secondary and supporting characters are limited. We are introduced to Sydney’s new friend Clarise; club bunny ‘Barbie’; Sydney’s ex Daryl; as well as the return of Molly (Claimed by the Bikers 1), and RBMC Tonopah LV’s white reaper / tracker Bones.

ONE NIGHT WITH THE BIKERS is a fast paced, quick read focusing on secrets, betrayal, acceptance and love. The premise is entertaining yet dramatic but I wish there was a little more time spent with the foursome; the characters are dangerous, determined and dynamic.

Determined to claim Coraline as his own, Jasper is taking precautions when Coraline’s past refuses to let go. The $ex scenes are passionate and provocative but I struggle with the use of a certain four-letter word.

We are introduced to Coraline’s extended family including her brothers Beau and Graham, their parents Hazel and Lucas Turner, as well as Jasper’s best friend Hawke, the local ‘Golden Girls’, and Coraline’s ex Grant. The requisite evil has many faces.

BROKEN PACT is a story of obsession and madness, betrayal and determination, family and friendships, relationships and love. The character driven premise is twisted and engaging ; the characters are animated and stubborn; the romance is fated and spicy.

I want to add, I am not sure if this is an MC series, or a series with an MC side story as the next instalment focuses on Coraline’s sibling.

Told from several first person perspectives including Frankie and Malcolm WILDCAT follows the second chance relationship between our story line couple. Years earlier Frankie and Malcolm were violently attacked and left for dead, and in the aftermath, Malcolm pushed Frankie out of his life. Fast forward to present day, the past has returned to finish the job but a familiar face threatens all of Malcolm’s hard fight to regain some semblance of normalcy. As Malcolm and Frankie relive the past, the Devil’s Handmaidens MC find themselves searching for several missing women, and the hunt for the people in charge. What ensues so the rebuilding relationship between Malcolm and Frankie, and the fall-out as the Malcolm must face the truth about the how and why.

The world building is dark and gritty. The trauma and abuse endured by our story line couple is recounted in graphic detail. As the Devil’s Handmaidens MC must come to terms with their own past traumas, our couple must face down the men who tried to destroy their lives.

The relationship between Malcolm and Frankie is one of second chances but a relationship strained by the emotional and physical abuse by someone they knew. As Malcolm struggles to move on from the past, Frankie and her ‘sisters’ will take down those who hurt so many. There are no $ex scenes between our story couple.

There is another large ensemble cast of colorful and determined secondary and supporting characters including several of Frankie’s sisters in the Devil’s Handmaidens MC-Glory , Tax, Vixen, Tink, Raven, their significant others, as well as the introduction of Frankie’s parents.

WILDCAT is a story of betrayal, racism, violence and hate. The premise is dramatic, dark, haunting, twisted and powerful; the characters are broken yet struggling to heal.

REVIEW:Bristol by Nicole Sulli is a MC, darker romance, and a first time read for me. This book has trauma and SA so check the trigger warnings readers. That being said, this fast pace, spicy romance had me jonesings for the next page faster and faster. 🏍

Bristol is broken beyond repair, or so she thinks. After being held captive for years, forced to do horrible things, caged, and tortured, when she is finally freed, she doesn’t know what to feel. But she knows what she wants. I give this author major props for an awesome FMC, even with all the hell Bristol has been put through, she is strong and doesn’t let others make her feel weak.

Revenge.

Sebastian is both her knight in shining armor and assassin at the same time. He knows why she wants her revenge, what she is going to do, and is all on board to help her do it. Heck he even helps her get away with it. What gets me with the plot to the story is that there is such build up for Bristol to get her revenge, but when it finally happens, it’s a bit rushed. The ending happens so quickly, it feels very rushed, and even more so, it feels unfinished. There needed to be something else after that, an epilogue, another chapter, something to show that Bristol and Sebastian riding off into the sunset.

The book is pretty dark in parts, and the spicy bits are 🔥 to read. Overall I would read more by the author and did like the book.

STRIKER’S YIELD can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as there is an ongoing premise throughout.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Striker and Autumn) STRIKER’S YIELD follows the building relationship between our story line couple. The tattoo across my right hip says it all really. A Life Less Ordinary. Inked by the amazingly talented Luke Wessman at the Wooster Street Social Club (a.k.a. New York Ink). Why is it important? Well, it sums up my view on life. That we should all aspire to live a life that is less boring, less predictable. Be bold, and do something amazing. I’ve made some crazy choices. I’ve been a car maker, a consultant, and even a senior executive at a large retailer running strategy. Born in England, spent time in the U.S. and Japan, before ending up in Canada where I met my own, personal hero – all six and a half feet of him. Both of us are scorpios! Yeah, I know! Should have checked the astrological signs earlier, but somehow it works for us. We have two amazing kids, who I either could never part with or could easily be convinced to sell on e-bay.

I’ve wanted to be a writer for a really long time. Check through my office cupboards or my computer and you’ll find half written stories and character descriptions everywhere. Now I’m getting the chance to follow that dream.
