ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 7, 2025

I should have known I’d break the promise I made when I found her stranded in a blizzard…

Feisty as hell and the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever seen.
With the cutest kid and her grandmother in tow, she’s completely off limits.
I don’t get involved with women like that.
I learned long ago I don’t have the ability to love.
My life is sordid and danger is always hiding in the shadows.
Only I can’t turn my back on them when I realize she’s in trouble, and I insist on them staying in a cabin at the motel I own.
As penance for my sins, I promised my life to protecting others.
Except she becomes so much more.
A need I don’t recognize. A desperation that burns beneath my flesh.
One kiss, and I’m falling for her.
One touch, and I’m at her feet.
But when my dark past comes back to haunt me, I’m in a race against time to save the only woman I’ve ever loved. Only it may be the demons that have been chasing her that destroy what we built…

REVIEW:The fourth installment in the Moonlit Ridge series, Beyond the Blue Horizon is an emotional journey filled with drama, found family, loss and love. Like the previous books in the series, BTBH can be read as a standalone in an interconnected series, but as always I do recommend reading the series in order to get the most out of it.

This is Theo and Piper’s story, and while the series has had a level of mystery and suspense, their story held an ever higher magnitude of it. Theo rescues Piper and her family during a horrible snowstorm, and this leads not only his life to be turned around but also, those he loves. Piper is in trouble, but it’s not just her neck in the game, it’s her whole family. When Theo rescues them from the storm and then gives them a place to stay, she is hesitant, but with her young son and elderly Grandmother, what choice does she have? Piper is strong and independent, always the one to take care of things and her family, she has been burned far too many times to rely on to help her. Theo however slowly chips away at the walls she has built.

Theo is no stranger to helping people, it’s what he and his brothers do, but Piper is different. Her family is in danger and he can’t turn his back on them. Slowly, Theo earns Piper’s trust and that of her family, and when danger comes calling again, he is there to protect them.

This book is by far one of the best slow burns I have ever consumed, there is such suspense surrounding Piper and her family, it makes the reader more and more disparate for what comes next. As the mystery behind Piper and her family slowly unravels, Theo and Piper try their best to ignore their growing feelings and Theo’s bond with Piper’s son Finn grows closer and closer. The spicy bits with Piper and Theo are wonderful, Piper being such a strong personality needs the crazy that Theo is to counter, it takes their relationship to another level. It was also fun to see characters from the first three books, almost like a “where are they now” type of thing. As things come to a head, Piper’s trouble is finally dealt with (no spoilers) and the family is now safe and moving on to bigger and better things.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date June 17, 2025

A surprise single dad, small town romantic suspense…

I’m the last guy on the planet who should be a dad. My life is chaos. My sins written dark and deep. So, imagine my surprise when my doorbell rings and I open it to find the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever seen standing on the other side. And she’s holding the hand of a little girl who looks just like me.

Emery tells me her sister, the child’s mother, is dead. I feel like dirt since she’s a woman I can hardly remember, and it’s no wonder Emery doesn’t trust that I’m worthy of caring for her niece. But I can’t turn my back, and I insist on raising Maci. So, we strike a deal—she’ll stay with me for one month to ensure the little girl is safe.

Emery tries to hate me for who I am, but neither of us can resist the attraction that blazes between us. One brush of her hand, and she has me on my knees. One kiss, and I’m falling fast. Soon, we find ourselves tangled in my sheets.

But when it’s discovered her sister’s death wasn’t accidental, the secret life I’ve been living collides with the past Emery has tried to keep hidden. And when the fiends come back to finish the job they started, I’m in a race against time to save the two people who I’ve come to love most…

REVIEW:“Find me in the darkness, bring me to the light.”

Ms. Jackson has delivered yet another amazing addition to the Moonlit Ridge series with the latest story, At the Edge of Surrender. Kane and Emery’s story along with little Maci is one that will stick with you at night, begging to be read again. As always, I recommend reading the series in order to get the most out of it, but each book can be read as a standalone in the interconnected series.

When the unknown happens what is a guy to do? When Emery floats into Moonlit Ridge with shadows in her eyes and pain in her heart, she blows poor Kane’s basic life right out of the water. He has a daughter, one that he never knew about, one that doesn’t know him. When he learns that Maci’s mother has passed recently and that he is the only parent she has left, Kane has a choice. Step up, or step out. Given his line of business, the latter isn’t even an option, but given his dangerous lifestyle, is he even capable of giving little Maci the life that she deserves. Better yet, will Emery let him try? Together, Kane and Emery agree on a trice of one month, where they move in with him, and Kane must prove to Emery that he can be what Maci needs. Now the only problem, how to avoid the connection and chemistry they both feel.

I just love a single dad romance! Kane has to be the most protective guy in the bunch so far. It may take him time to let down the walls to those around him and trust, but when he does, he protects that love with everything he has in him. The connection Kane and Emery have with one another is one that they fight tooth and nail, they know what is at stake and they don’t want to rush into anything that will hurt Maci in the long run. These two are complicated and secretive, neither wanting to give anything away to the other at first, but when things slowly start to unravel, neither have a choice. Together they have to protect Maci. Slowly as the plot progresses, the suspense builds until finally we learn what’s, what, the climax has a nice twist to it, keeping the reader on their toes to the very end.

Kane, Emery and Maci were a very nice addition to the Moonlit Ridge saga, and I hope to see more from this sleepy little town before it’s gone. Watching Kane bond with Maci was sweet and moving, the spicy bits of course are fan favorites, and seeing the characters from the previous two books was like visiting with old friends. For readers that enjoy a small town, mystery romance, Moonlit Ridge is a great series to start with.

REVIEW:After finishing book one in theMoonLit Ridge series (From Here to Eternity) I knew I was going to be hooked. Under an Endless Moon couldn’t come fast enough. A brother’s best friend romance filled with angst, secrets and spice, Under an Endless Moon is one of this author’s best pieces. As always I recommend reading the series in order, book one introduces these characters, but can be read as a standalone.

Tension in this book is crazy! We meet Raven in book one as River’s little sister, she is the owner of her own flower shop in their tiny town. Lately however, she has been struggling with wanting to spread her wings and live life to its fullest. Otto is her burly bear who has been embedded in her life for almost as long as she can remember playing the big brother. Too bad that is never how she could see him.

Otto has demons, dirty, dark demons that he doesn’t share with anyone. Raven is the one light in his light, the one thing he always wants to protect and never hurt. Even if that means he can never have her the way he wants her.

There is so so much angst in this book, like so much more than I was expecting, but it is so well done. We get more of Otto’s back story, what happened to his sister and even more of the demons that he holds. Raven is a complicated character that is determined to move on from her past but when chaos hits Otto is the first one to take her back. The character growth on River’s side as he has to learn to let his baby sister live her grown adult life was moving and adds another level of depth to their relationship. There is one specific moment for Raven that gives her the push she needs to start out on her own, and while it is funny, it leads her to staying with Otto.

Raven staying at Otto’s home pushes him to the point of no return, he has to face his feelings for her or take the risk of losing her for good. Holy Lordt, the spice when it hits is HOT. When Otto finally confesses, it is simply everything, his strong emotions, his need, his love for Raven makes all their years of pining worth it.

If you haven’t read this series before or the author please do so, both are so amazing

REVIEW:📚 From the author that brought us the masterpiece series that is Redemption Hill; A.L Jackson’s newest series is sure to be her best one yet.

From Here to Eternity is the first installment of her newest series; Moonlit Ridge, and all I can say is that it had me hooked from chapter one.

So much angst! The emotion in this book is truly what struck me the most, you could feel it coming off the pages from the characters as the plot unfolded. You truly could “cut the tension with a knife”

Charleigh has a dark past, one she is still running, one that if she stops to think about may consume her soul, one that no matter what she does always causes her to run again. Her life is grief, loneliness and fear, so much fear. Living under an assumed name, never staying anywhere too long, giving up so much of her life, only to live in constant fear. Until she settles into the smalltown of Moonlit Ridge. After settling in at her newest job, she finally acts on her deepest thoughts of getting a special tattoo. This is where she has her world tossed on its axis and meets River; the tattoo artist.

River is rough and tough, somewhat grumpy, single Dad. He has a thriving tattoo business with a years-long waitlist, a sister that he loves, a little boy that thinks the world of him, and a group of guys that may not be his blood brothers, but they are forged together by something more than that. All these things he will die and kill to protect, River is the definition of a morally gray hero. When Charleigh enters his shop, her presence strikes something so deep in his soul that he doesn’t know what to do, he is thunderstruck. When she tells him she wants a tattoo, and then shows him the design she wants, it’s that moment that (i think) their story really starts.

For what is being said is a slow burn romance, it sure didn’t feel like one. River and Charleigh have such a visceral, emotional connection that everytime they are together it feels like it’s the first time (as a reader). River is slow to earn Charleigh’s trust, but I think with the help of little Nolan and Raven, they bring her back into the light of happiness and hope. River has his own secret, (no spoilers!) one that he thinks will make Charleigh think twice about him, but it just makes him a better MMC. River is big, protective, and dangerous, but not to those that mean something to him, and think because of this, Charleigh learns to love.

These two are by far one of the best couples I have experienced, I very much wish I could read this book again for the first time. Having kids in romance books is a fav of mine, Nolan was as sweet as could be, and the later getting that big surprise was a “Holy Moly” moment, seeing a few past characters from Redemption Hills was also so awesome, knowing that they have a connect to the new guys is kind of like a little spoiler. All I can say for this book is that I screamed, I cried, I cursed, I smiled and I ended it happier than when I started it, thank you to Ms. Author for the experience.
