ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 15, 2018

There’s sin, and then there’s literally going-straight-to-hell sin…
Being in lust with my dead brother’s wife pretty much guarantees that one day I’ll be the devil’s bitch. But Eden Gordon works with me, so it’s getting harder and harder to stay away. I promised my family—and him—I would, though.

My days as an MMA champion are behind me. But whenever I see her, with those wicked curves and soft mouth created for dirty deeds, it’s a knock-down fight to just maintain my distance. “Hard Knox” becomes more than just the name of my tattoo shop. However, surrendering to the forbidden might be worth losing everything…

•••••••••

REVIEW: SIN AND INK is the first instalment in Naime Simone’s contemporary, adult SWEETEST TABOO erotic, romance series. This is former MMA fighter and tattoo artist Knox Gordon, and receptionist Eden Gordon’s story line.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Knox and Eden) SIN AND INK follows the forbidden relationship between former MMA fighter and tattoo artist Knox Gordon, and receptionist Eden Gordon. Five years earlier, Knox and his brother Connor came face to face with their future but Connor married Eden, and Knox remained on the sidelines lusting after his brother’s wife. A tragedy in the MMA arena made Eden a widow, and Knox grieving the death he blamed on himself. Fast forward to present day wherein Knox’s feelings for Eden continue to grow, as Eden slowly becomes aware of their burgeoning attraction to one another. What ensues is the building but forbidden relationship between Eden and Knox, and the potential fall-out as Knox’s guilt over his brother’s death continues to ride heavily on our leading couple.

Knox Gordon struggles to get past the guilt of his brother’s death, a guilt that is exacerbated by his mother’s accusations and inability to let go, as well as his attraction, and love for his late brother’s wife. Eden Gordon knows it is time to move on but moving means letting go of what was, and into a future of what will be.

The relationship between Knox and Eden is one of the forbidden but a relationship that has been developing for several years. Knox’s guilt, not only for his brother’s death, but also his attraction towards his brother’s wife is compounded by the promise he made to keep his distance from the woman he loves. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense.

We are introduced to Knox’s brothers Jude and Simon, as well as their parents Dan and Katherine Gordon; and Knox’s former trainer Jake Reece. I am hoping the author has plans for future story lines focusing on Jude and Simon.

The world building follows the building relationship between Eden and Knox, as Knox tries desperately to stay clear of his late brother’s wife. The MMA story line focuses on Knox’s return to the ring, a return met with controversy and grief.

SIN AND INK is a dramatic tale of death and loss, lust and love, forgiveness and moving forward. The premise is engaging and emotional; the characters are broken, colourful and dynamic; the romance is a second chance at happiness, seductive and heart breaking. The story line ends on a happily ever after -for now-here’s hoping, once again, the author has plans to further their story.

REVIEW: SCORING THE PLAYER’S BABY is the third instalment in Naima Simone’s contemporary, adult WAGS (Wives and Girlfriends) football, romance series focusing on the men and women of the profession football league’s the Washington Warriors. This is PR specialist, thirty-year old Kim Matlock, and wide receiver for the Washington Warriors, twenty-eight year old Ronin Palamo’s story line. SCORING THE PLAYER’S BABY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. There is a slight cross-over with the author’s Bachelor Auction series where we were first introduced to our heroine Kim Matlock, her half-brother Alexander, and father Malcolm Bishop.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Ronin and Kim) SCORING THE PLAYER’S BABY follows the building but struggling relationship between PR specialist Kim Matlock, and wide receiver for the Washington Warriors Ronin Palamo. Kim Matlock is a well-educated, accomplished and intelligent PR specialist; a woman who doesn’t do relationships, and refuses to date anything resembling a professional football player-been there, done that and has the divorce papers to prove it. A one-night stand with a mysterious but sexy as sin stranger results in an unplanned pregnancy that forces Kim back into the stranger’s radar, three months later. Unable to forget about her ex-husband’s betrayal, Kim struggles with building a relationship with the father of her child. Enter Ronin Palamo, who also struggles with relationship issues from the past, but a man who is willing to take responsibility for his unborn child, offering Kim a chance at family and a happily ever after. What ensues is the building romance and love between Kim and Ronin, and the potential fall-out as our couple continue to battle memories and ghost from the past.

Kim Matlock knows rejection first hand including her ex-husband’s infidelity, and the ongoing rejection from the father she never knew. Fifteen years earlier, her then sixteen year old half-brother Alex, heir apparent to Bishop Enterprises, went in search of the sister he would grow to love, forcing Kim’s father, billionaire Malcolm Bishop to reluctantly acknowledge his bast*rd child. Guarded and cautious Kim continues to mistrust Ronin’s intentions for a life-long commitment. Ronin Palamo’s father abandoned the family for his love of the bottle, ensuring a life-long rejection by the children he fathered but Ronin would suffer an even greater loss when his best friend and the love of his life succumbed to a life-threatening disease. A man-wh*re by reputation, Ronin buried his grief in one-night stands but something about Kim drew Ronin like a moth to a flame.

The colorful secondary and supporting characters include Kim’s unwelcoming father Malcolm Bishop, her brother Alexander, and her ex-husband, defensive back Matt Cooper. We catch up with Ronin’s teammates and friend, and their partners -Zeph Black and Sophia Cruz; Tennyson Clark and Dominic Anderson, as well as Sophia’s twin sister Giovanna Cruz- the camaraderie and support is endearing and fun.

SCORING THE PLAYER’S BABY is a spirited and character driven story line. The premise is realistic and enjoyable; the romance is passionate and energetic; the characters are sexy and edgy.

REVIEW: SCORING OFF THE FIELD is the second instalment in Naima Simone’s contemporary, adult WAGS erotic, romance series focusing on the men and women of the professional football league’s the Washington Warriors. This is quarterback Dominic Anderson, and twenty –five year old PA / social worker Tennyson Clark’s story line. SCORING OFF THE FIELD can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Told from dual third person perspectives (Tennyson and Dominic) SCORING OFF THE FIELD is a best friends to lovers storyline that follows the break down of the friendship between All-Star, four-time Pro-Bowl quarterback for the Washington Warriors Dominic Anderson, and his best friend/ PA Tennyson Clark. Having entered the foster care system as a teen, following the death of his parents, Dominic Anderson found a kindred spirit in Tennyson Clark, a young girl whose past was mired in abuse by a mentally disturbed parent. Now fourteen years later, Dom and Tennyson are best friends and soul-mates but Tennyson Clark has been in love with Dom for most of her adult life. Years before, Tennyson proclaimed her love, only to be rejected by the man that she loved, and with his ongoing stream of one-night stands, it was time for Tennyson to move on in the hopes of finding her own happily ever after. What ensues is the lust to love relationship build-up between Dom and Tennyson, and the fall-out as Dom is unable to commit to forever, and Tennyson’s happily ever after.

Dominic is so completely dependant upon his best friend and PA he is unable to comprehend that Tennyson wants more than to be her best friend’s buddy and PA.

The relationship between Tennyson and Dom is a best friends to lovers; a heartbreaking and emotional one-sided relationship in that Dom’s manwh*ring ways directly affect his relationship with the woman with whom he will fall in love. Dom’s oblivious to his best friend’s attraction, a love and attraction that is noticed by everyone else. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate with the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

What the hell is this?” Dom leaned closer to the computer, scowling.
Tennyson glanced at the screen. And silently groaned. Fuck a duck, where was a mudslide, earthquake, or the Rapture when you needed them?
“Tennyson,” he growled, and she shifted her attention from the smiling profile picture of Adam Rutheridge, the guy she’d been communicating with online for the past several days, to Dom.
“What?” she asked, opting to go with innocence. Not that she had to explain her decision to give online dating a try. This whole thing fell under the heading of “Not Dom’s Business.” Heaving a heavy, much aggrieved sigh, she shook her head. “You act like millions of people don’t frequent dating sites every day.”
“You’re not millions of people,” he pointed out. “And what do you need this,” he waved a hand at the screen, “for?”
“Well, unlike you, I don’t have the opposite sex throwing themselves at me in droves,” she pointed out.
“That’s bullshit,” he countered. “You’re beautiful. Any man would want to date you.”
Except him. To him she was beautiful like the little sister who would be pretty even with braces, pigtails, and bad acne. The platitude was nice but empty. “Right,” she scoffed. “I don’t know why you’re so upset. It’s not like this is a new thing.”
“These sites are filled with nuts and perverts who like to make lampshades out of women’s skin.”
She blinked, her lips falling open. “Um, wow. You might want to cut back on Homicide Hunter.”
“This isn’t a joke.” He jabbed a finger at Adam’s cute blue bowtie dotted with miniature gold poodles. “His user ID is HappilyEverAdam for fuck’s sake,” he snarled.
She lifted a shoulder in a half shrug. “I thought it was clever and sweet.” When his growl rolled through the room like a foreboding clap of thunder, she held her hands out, palms up. “Give me some credit. It’s not like I’m going to meet him at midnight in an abandoned warehouse. I know the rules. Public place which I’m driving to and from. He can’t exactly skin me alive in a crowded restaurant, can he?” she drawled.
But her sarcasm bounced against him like a medicine ball…filled with lead.
“Tell me you don’t actually plan on meeting this guy,” he said, his voice even, calm. Ominous.
“Not that it’s any of your business, but yes.”
“Forget it. Not happening,” he ordered in the same tone he used to snap out plays on the football field. Hard. Quick. With a full expectation of being obeyed.
Oh hell no. A matching fury surged within her, hot, swift, and with thorns.
“As much as you like to believe you’re my brother, you’re not. I don’t need to ask your permission to date or consult you on how to go about it. When you start letting me veto or approve your hit-it-and-quit-its, then we can talk. But until then? Back. Off,” she snapped.
Those storm-filled eyes narrowed on her, his full lips flattening into a grim line. Silence, thick and alive with tension, thrummed between them. Intensity seemed to emanate from his powerful body, and he studied her with that same penetrating, concentrated focus. The weight of it touched her face with a pressure that was almost tactile. As if his gaze had transformed into a hand that gripped her face between large, calloused fingers, holding her in a firm, implacable grasp.
His scrutiny dropped to her breasts, and the air in her throat sizzled and evaporated. The black, V-neck top she wore seemed too skimpy and too stifling at once. She couldn’t force a word past her suddenly too-tight esophagus as he frowned and returned his gaze to her face.
Too afraid of herself, of her body’s reaction to him, to remain seated on the couch, she launched to her feet. The heels of her ankle boots clicked against the hardwood floors as she crossed the room toward the desk.
And safety.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 15, 2018

Shy, awkward Sophia Cruz has a hard time telling her vivacious identical twin “no.” But when her sister begs her to swap places for a modeling shoot, she caves … again. Then Zephirin Black walks onto the set. The brooding, aloof, and gorgeous tight end for the Washington Warriors. But she can keep it professional… She has to. Because the adorkable Cruz twin has no luck with guys once they compare her to her sister.

After a bad break-up, Zeph hasn’t been big on second chances—and even less with trust. But he finds himself giving please-call-me-by-my-middle-name-Sophia both. The woman he’d dismissed as a spoiled cover model is different from the first time he met her. Quirkier. Funnier. Definitely sexier. What started as one night turns into another…and another…and another…

Still, Sophia can’t go on keeping her secret from him. But telling Zeph the truth will mean losing him for good.

•••••••••

REVIEW: SCORING WITH THE WRONG TWIN is the first installment in Naima Simone’s sexy, contemporary, adult, romance story lin. This is app developer Sophia Cruz, and Washington Warriors’ tight end Zephirin Black’s story line.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Zeph and Sophia) SCORING WITH THE WRONG TWIN is a ‘twin trope’ romance story line that follows the building relationship between professional football tight end Zephirin Black, and app developer Sophia Cruz-a woman our hero believes to be model Giovanna Cruz. Giovanna Cruz is a model who double booked a shoot with Zephirin Black and Sports Unlimited, and the runways of Milan but having a twin sister came in handy especially when no one could tell them apart. Enter Sophia Cruz, nerdy, tattooed and pierced sister of up and coming model Giovanna Cruz, and the woman with whom Zephirin Black would fall in love. What ensues is the building relationship between Zeph and Sophia, and the fall out when Sophia and Giovanna’s ruse of a lie is revealed.

Zephirin Black has been burned in the past, and all he asks, going forward, is honesty in his relationships but Zeph has no idea that the woman with whom he is falling in love is not the woman she purports herself to be. Sophia Cruz knows the longer she continues to lie the more likely she is about to destroy not only her heart but the heart of the man she is starting to love. On several occasions she has attempted to reveal the truth but in the end, her meagre attempts made for a less than honest romance.

The relationship between Zeph and Sophia begins as a lie; a lie meant to protect the sister she loves but a lie that will once again destroy Zeph’s faith in relationships and love. Burned in the past, Sophia’s lies reignite the betrayal of a previous love. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to a number of Zeph’s teammates and friends including Ronin , Dom, Tennyson, Jason and Renee. There is something developing between friends Dom and Tennyson; and the one-time ‘friends with benefits’ relationship between Jason and Renee has placed a strain on the tight knit group of friends.

SCORING WITH THE WRONG TWIN has a little bit of everything: conflict and drama; betrayal and heart break; forgiveness and love. The premise is spicy and captivating; the romance is sexy and passionate; the characters are colorful and energetic. SCORING WITH THE WRONG TWIN is a fast paced, encouraging and heart-warming story-perfect to curl up and read on a cold winter’s night.

Still, he won’t allow need—no matter how hot it burns—to threaten everything he’s built.

••••••••••••

REVIEW: A MILLIONAIRE AT MIDNIGHT is the fourth installment in Naima Simone’s contemporary, adult BACHELOR AUCTION erotic, romance series. This is Boston socialite and PA Morgan Lett, and millionaire businessman Alexander Bishop’s story line. A MILLIONAIRE AT MIDNIGHT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Morgan and Alexander) A MILLIONAIRE AT MIDNIGHT follows a fake fiancé trope that finds millionaire Alexander Bishop in desperate need of a wife-to-be. Alexander has only weeks to announce his engagement in order to take over as CEO of Bishop Enterprises-a business he saved from the proverbial toilet. Enter Morgan Lett, a socialite and former PA who also is desperate for a helping hand. But Morgan and Alexander’s first meeting is met with preconceived notions and a quick call to judgment by the man desperate enough to push aside all of his rules to keep control of the company. What ensues is the building relationship between two people whose relationship experience has been less than stellar. Morgan recently discovered her fiancée was in love with her step-sister; and Alexander’s marriage ended because he wife was unable to honor her vows. With Morgan’s return to work she will soon discover that Alexander Bishop is now the man in charge but a man who wants nothing to do with a gold-digging attitude.

The relationship between Alexander and Morgan begins acrimoniously after Alex overhears Morgan spouting about finding a rich man to support the life in which she has grown accustomed but unbeknownst to Alex, Morgan’s proclamations came at a time when her emotions and feelings were destroyed following several accusations by women she cares not to have known. When Morgan offers up a plan that will satisfy them both, Alex will lose his heart to a woman whose own earlier years were fraught with rejection and hurt. The $ex scenes are intimate, intense and seductive.

We are introduced to Alexander’s half- sister Kim, as well as his father Malcolm Bishop ; Morgan’s former fiancée Troy, and her half-sister Cynthia, as well as Morgan’s sister Merri. I am hoping for a happily ever after for Kim as she struggles to regain control of her life.

The world building reveals a little bit of the past; of the pain Alexander and Morgan experience throughout their lives; of Alex’s need to get lost in the books of his childhood fantasies.

A MILLIONAIRE AT MIDNIGHT is a story of romance; a fake fiancée tale that finds two people opposed to another happily ever after but find themselves falling in love against the odds. The premise is energetic; the characters are heartbreaking and passionate; the romance is sensual and sexy. A MILLIONAIRE AT MIDNIGHT will captivate your imagination.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date December 12, 2016

It’s been five years since I’ve seen her.

Five years since Gabriella James damn near destroyed me with her betrayal, sending me to hell in a cage.

I’ve crawled free, escaped the mob, opened a night club, and continue to battle my demons through underground fighting and sex. But now Gabriella’s back, begging for absolution, wanting my forgiveness. All I want is what she’s denied me for all these years — her body.

Sex. That’s all we’ll ever have.

Because Gabriella is still keeping secrets. I see it in her eyes.

I don’t trust her, and I’ll never forgive her betrayal.

But that won’t stop me from taking her.

Over…and over…and over…

REVIEW:

ONLY FOR YOU is the third installment in Naima Simone’s contemporary, adult, erotic, romance THE LICK novella series focusing on three childhood friends: Rion Ward, Sasha Merchant, and Killian Vincent, co-owners of the nightclub Lick, and their exclusive aphrodisiac club The Loft. This is underground MMA fighter Killian Vincent, and bartender Gabriella James’s second chance story line. ONLY FOR YOU can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Killian and Gabriella) ONLY FOR you focuses on the rekindling relationship between MMA fighter Killian Vincent, and Gabriella James. Five years earlier, to protect the man that she loved, Gabriella called the police in the hopes of preventing a potential massacre within the Irish mob only to discover that Killian had been arrested on trumped up charges and it would be five years before she was able to explain her story, apologize, and move on with her life. Back in town for a girl’s night out lands our heroine in the nightclub owned by the man that she loved but a man she no longer recognizes due to experiences and life behind bars. Gabriella offers Killian anything he wants, one night free of inhibitions, and Killian wants everything Gabriella has to offer.

ONLY FOR YOU is a highly sexual story of second chances, perceived betrayal, and personal revenge. Killian’s mind was destroyed; his need to hurt reflected in his MMA fighting style; but his love for Gabriella burned with thoughts of retribution and moving on. The rekindling relationship brought with it memories of what was, and a past that refused to move forward. The $ex scenes are erotic, provocative and intense. Gabriella is willing to submit to atone for her sins-there are some light BDSM scenes of bondage and spanking, as well as some oral and anal play with toys.

ONLY FOR YOU is another quick and sexy read; a story that wraps up the LICK series with an epilogue that fast forwards the series one year where we get a glimpse into all three relationships and what is in store for the future. The premise is wicked; the romance is a steamy-a second chance at forever; the characters are broken but growing strong.

Sasha knows that to entertain any possibility of a relationship with Corrine invites the world of the Mafia onto his front door. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic, and intense. Nothing is off limits at ‘The Loft’ between consenting adults.

Sasha’s business partners and friends Rion Ward and Killian Vincent play secondary and supporting characters but there is very little information to tie Rion’s story (Only For A Night #1) to the current timeline.

ONLY FOR YOUR TOUCH is a quick read; a look into the play rooms and sexual adventures of The Loft and its’ exclusive membership. The premise is energetic; the characters are dynamic; the romance is a sexually passionate escape.

“Leave the clothes,” he reiterated.
She shook her head, her grasp on her jeans tightening. “Humiliation wasn’t part of this bargain. I’m not walking out of here without any pants on.” A shadow crossed his face even as his lips firmed into a straight line.
“Humiliate you? You think I want to give every motherfucker out there material to go home and fuck their fist to? Let them look at those thighs and imagine them wrapped around their waist? Their head? No, Gabriella, my intention isn’t to humiliate you,” he murmured, the silken tone all the more dangerous.
“My sole focus is hustling your pretty little ass next door and upstairs as fast as possible. Whatever you think about me, I’d never place you in harm’s way, and that includes exposing you. Now,” he lowered his face until she could easily detect the green flecks in his golden eyes. Something flickered in those eyes. The same thing that, for just a moment, softened his mouth so he appeared almost…vulnerable. Hungry. No, no. Need. Like he needed her to walk out of this room with him. But in the next instant, the emotion disappeared behind a shuttered mask.
“Are you in…or out?”
She didn’t answer. Instead, she dropped the clothes and walked to the door, that brief flash of…whatever accomplishing what the pretty little ass and the possessive tone he’d uttered it in couldn’t.

About The Author Black and White

Naima Simone’s love of romance was first stirred by Johanna Lindsey, Sandra Brown and Linda Howard many years ago. Well not that many. She is only eighteen…ish. Though her first attempt at a romance novel starring Ralph Tresvant from New Edition never saw the light of day, her love of romance, reading and writing has endured. Published since 2009, she spends her days—and nights— creating stories of unique men and women who experience the first bites of desire, the dizzying heights of passion, and the tender, healing heat of love.

She is wife to Superman, or his non-Kryptonian, less bullet proof equivalent, and mother to the most awesome kids ever. They all live in perfect, sometimes domestically-challenged bliss in the southern United States.

•••••••

REVIEW: THE BACHELOR’S PROMISE is the third installment in Naima Simone’s contemporary, adult BACHELOR AUCTION romance series. This is CEO and billionaire businessman Aiden Kent, and college student/ artist Noelle Rana’s story line. THE BACHELOR’S PROMISE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.

Told from dual third person points of view (Aiden and Noelle) THE BACHELOR’S PROMISE follows the second chance relationship between billionaire Aiden Kent, and twenty five year old artist and college student Noelle Rana. Six years earlier Aiden pushed Noelle out of his life. Raised together when their parents met and presumably fell in love, Aiden and Noelle fast became best friends one day leading to love and a possible happily ever after. But upon the death of Aiden’s mother, Noelle’s father Frank destroyed what little was left of Aiden’s life and Noelle got caught up in the betrayal and mistrust. Fast forward to present day and Noelle will reluctantly ask Aiden to make good on a deathbed promise by his mother, and our hero is, once again, pushed to limits of his patience as it pertains to the woman who had previously broken his heart. Noelle is determined to get on with her life but circumstances have changed and she is desperate for Aiden’s help. What ensues is the rekindling of a romance and relationship that was destroyed by betrayal and lies, that will falter when Noelle’s past returns and makes more demands of the man that she loves.

The relationship between Noelle and Aiden is acrimonious at best. Noelle has never stopped loving Aiden but our hero’s life was destroyed when his mother passed away, and Noelle’s father and brother betrayed any love and friendship between our story line couple. Aiden is a man determined to rip apart our story line heroine but is caught between memories of the past and a potential future with the woman he loves. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive.

The secondary and supporting characters are colorful and animated including Aiden’s business partner Lucas Oliver and his wife Sydney Blake (Beauty and the Bachelor #1). We are also introduced to Noelle’s questionable brother Tony whose connection to Aiden goes much deeper than anyone could have imagined; and Noelle’s boss at the art gallery -Lo.

The world building looks at betrayal and broken promises; heartbreak and pain; anger and forgiveness. Aiden’s apprehension with Noelle’s return is understandable but his original reasons for pushing Noelle out of his life were as a result of deflecting his anger about what happened upon someone else.

THE BACHELOR’S PROMISE is a passionate story line. The premise is emotional and intense; the characters are dynamic and vibrant; the romance is captivating and energetic. Naima Simone adds another provocative and fascinating addition to her Bachelor Auction series.

Ciaran has already made the mistake of falling for a client, and the results were disastrous. He won’t risk it again. He can’t. But running from love is the surest way to get Sloane killed.

Review:

In Killer Curves by Naima Simone, Sloane Barrett fought with every ounce of her being to not to give into Ciaran.  And the fact that she was a full bodied woman made the story even more fulfilling.  She was real.

Ciaran – well…. Lets just say – I loved him from the moment he stormed onto the page.  Tough, brash, rough exterior with an overwhelming, caring, loving heart on the inside.  He is loyal to his own and will not back down from anyone. And the way that he evolves right along with Sloane is beautiful.  The relationship between the two of them was wonderfully written, beautifully portrayed and perfectly executed and delicious in every single minute way!

I would like to point out that I have never in my life disliked a character as much as I did Sloane’s ex fiancé Phillip.  From the moment he slithered onto the scene I wanted to punch him.

He was vile, rude and downright evil.  And I thought for sure he had something to do with what was going on with Sloane.  In the end I am glad everyone in her family saw him for the man he was.

I would also like to mention that this book could read as a stand alone – but why would you do that when the first book is just a wonderfully delicious as the second.

The fast paced mystery/story line intrigued me, left me wanting to know who was after Sloane and why. I read from start to finish in one evening. Not wanting to put it down, not wanting to miss a single thing. In the end the realization of who was after her and why was gut wrenchingly sad.  Understandable and yet sad.
