Review:

Not Seeking Mr. Right by Natasha Moore is part of her The Single Ladies of Lakeside series.  Ginny is forty and single! Babies and marriage don’t seem to be on the cards for her! And being dumped by her wedding date spurs her on to decide on one night stands from now on!

Josh has the world at his feet! Recently finished with college he wants to change the world around him with his architect degree. He hasn’t got time or the inclination to settle down, that’s later on in his life….

They meet by accident at a wedding that Ginny is attending and Josh is working. A little flirting, a little alcohol and a one night stand which at the time seemed like the best idea. Only this one night has a consequence neither had expected!

A slow burn romance that concentrates more on the budding friendship than the romance. And after reading so many dark/bully/Mafia books this makes a welcome change of pace.

Josh is extremely grownup for his age. He’s prepared to do the right thing and be a part of his baby’s life. But Ginny wants to do this on her own! Is that because she doesn’t want to trap Josh, or she really does want to go this alone?  So will Josh give up his dream and look after Ginny and his unborn child? Will Ginny let him?

A small town romance that has a close knit family and friends network that are prepared to help this couple. It’s low on angst, but high on a feel good factor. It’s both funny and moving. I loved both Ginny and Josh, even when you wanted to move them both along in their relationship ? add in the cast of supporting characters (which some of them need their own book lol?  and you have a read good read.

Loved how Josh wanted to support Ginny, even though she’s older and has her own life. She’s not some teenage girl that needs financial support. Ginny is such a laugh, never losing her sense of humour or her outlook on life.

I’d recommend this book if your a lover of low angst and slow romances.

The Goodbye Guy by Natasha Moore – a Review

The Goodbye Guy by Natasha Moore – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo / Google Play / Apple

Description:
Rachel Bradford is finally living her dream as the star of her own interior design show. But ratings are slipping, and if she wants to save the show, she has to set an episode in the hometown she fled. Worst of all, she’s going to have to work with the cocky bad boy who humiliated her.

Single dad, Beckett Colburn plans to turn an old fire station into a neighborhood bar. He’s blindsided when he discovers his family made a deal to turn his dream into a reality TV project. He’d rather run into a burning building than work with his childhood nemesis–on camera.

But it’s not easy with a TV crew in town stirring up trouble, spreading rumors, creating buzz. Not to mention the inconvenient sudden attraction that sparks every time Rachel and Beckett fight.

Review:

This the second novel in Natasha Moore’s Men of Lakeside series. As a second novel, it’s usually not as wonderful as the first. Great surprise! This one’s fantastic! Kudo to Natasha Moore on returning to Lakeside and giving us a fabulous story.

This is the story of Rachel Bradford and Beckett Colburn. Rachael and Beckett went to high school together and they were certainly not friends. Rachael’s most embarrassing moment came from Beckett and a few exaggerations he made. His worst moment came from Rachael yelling at him that he would never leave this town and would work for his family his whole life. So, no. They weren’t old friends or lovers…  However, neither will admit that there was an attraction, but their families were not friends and were always at opposite ends of politics in Lakeside, so they followed suit.

Rachel left Lakeside and ditched her families plans for her college to study art and design, where her heart and imagination led her. They’ve never let her forget what a disappointment that was for them. Even though she now has her own TV show The Rachel Touch. She works hard to get and keep her show fresh and exciting, maybe too hard.  So far, there are no limits to what she’ll do to keep her career on top. Now the producers want more. More excitement and skill. They’ve decided on a project in her hometown (that she’s never returned to), restyling an old firehouse station into a neighborhood bar for none other than her nemesis Beckett Colburn. She so doesn’t want to do this, but saving her show and career is a must.

Beckett is the youngest of the Colburn and Sons crew. He still feels he must prove himself trustworthy to his family. Noah, his older brother is mayor of Lakeside and along with their father, has arranged with The Rachel Touch producers to have them do the design and refurbishment of the family’s new project, without consulting Beckett. Beckett is not happy. He’s concerned about trying to work with Rachael, will she try to sabotage his bar? Can he keep control of “his” project and still do his work and raise his daughter?

Beckett is a single father. His daughter, Holly, is a fan of the Rachael Touch and Rachel herself. Rachel’s producer wants some family drama and forbidden romance, anything to push the show’s ratings.

Between all the animosity, will they be able to work together. Twenty years can change a lot of things, will they be able to reconcile their differences enough to work together? And what about that old attraction, could that still be alive?

Natasha Moore has been able to build her wonderful characters and hometown settings into a spectacular story with full on family drama, town politics, career issues, and sizzling romance. Grab a copy for yourself and get set for a wonderful read!

The July Guy by Natasha Moore – a Review

The July Guy by Natasha Moore – a Review

Amazon / B&N / Kobo

Description:
Art professor Anita Delgado spends eleven months of the year working. July is her month to cut loose, paint, and pick a guy to make the summer memorable. But this year she isn’t in a tropical location with an exotic man like she’d planned. She’s stuck in small-town USA dealing with a lake house she doesn’t want, inherited from a grandmother she never knew. A summer fling might be the only thing to get her through the next few weeks.

Salvage specialist Noah Colburn is running for mayor. If he doesn’t, an absolute idiot is going to ruin his beloved town. So he’s stepping up. It’s what he does—with his teenage daughters, with the family business, and now with Lakeside. But when the newest resident of the town asks him to renovate her grandmother’s house—and have a four-week fling —he’s tempted. Tempted to step out of the mold and take just one thing for himself. But the gossip mill in the town is notorious.

Anita’s learning it’s hard to have a fling when the town follows your every move, and it’s even harder when the July guy makes it clear one month is never going to be enough…

Review:

Anita Delgado is a lovely woman but emotionally damaged by a cold childhood. She’s come to town to see and sell a property left to her by a grandmother she didn’t know existed. She’s an artist and teacher, but due to her emotional issues, she doesn’t do long term commitments as far as romance goes. She takes a vacation for the month of July and has a fling with a different man every year. However, this year she’s in Lakeside seeing to her grandmother’s property.

Noah Colburn is a good man in his forties, he runs his family’s salvage business and loves his community. He loves to save as much of the past as he can. He’s a contractor and builder as well. He’s also running for mayor of Lakeside against a typical man of wealth and power who wants to tear down the lovely old homes and rebuild with condos.

They meet by accident and the attraction is instant and interesting.

Author Natasha Moore has woven an intricate love story of uncovering a hidden past, bit by bit, as a sizzling romance begins to build. The romance is hot but precarious, the characters are all genuine and well written. Threads of political issues, family relationships, and so much more are added. The storyline is interesting and thought provoking as well as entertaining.

I loved the whole thing. It was compelling and very hard to put down…hence I stayed up all night and read. I encourage you to grab a copy and sit back for an enjoyable time.
