ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 25, 2017

Rules are tossed aside when a pro football player join forces with a spitfire cheerleading coach in New York Times bestselling author Lorelei James’s brand-new romance…

Heir to Lund Enterprises and ladies’ man Jensen “The Rocket” Lund has three conditions when it comes to dating:
1) No single mothers
2) No cheerleaders
3) No medical personnel
So it makes no sense that he’s wildly attracted to Rowan Michaels, who breaks all three.

Rowan Michaels didn’t pass the rigorous requirements to become an athletic trainer and Vikings cheerleader in the hopes of landing a pro athlete: been there, done that, and she has a young son as proof that football players and fidelity don’t go hand in hand. When Rowan learns her new neighbor is Jensen Lund, the smoking-hot tight end who takes being neighborly to a whole new level, she’s grateful for the team’s strict “no fraternization” policy because the sexy man defines temptation.

But Jensen is intent on rushing straight to the goal line to prove to Rowan he’s much more than just a player…on and off the field.

REVIEW: When I Need You begins with Jensen Lund’s chance encounter with a little boy running a little wild in the hallway of his apartment building. Unknown to Jensen, his best buddy, who lives across the hall, has sub-leased his apartment to his sister, Rowan. A couple of things come to mind: why didn’t Jensen know about said sister AND why didn’t he know about said sister being hot. Although their initial meeting was a bit awkward, it doesn’t take long for Jensen and Rowan to develop a friendship. And, friendship is all either of them have time for. Jensen has been rehabbing for the last year, hoping and praying that he will get medical clearance to return to his team, and has made this is sole focus. Rowan, being a single mother to her son, Calder, as well as a full time job (and a part time job as well!) has a full plate too.

What follows is a beautifully written story of friendship, acceptance and a truly believable love story. Jensen is a character with depth, who not only loves his family, but has a big heart that’s ready to settle down, even though he didn’t quite know that until his chance encounter with Rowan. Now, about Rowan. I LOVED everything about her. She is not a whiny, oh poor me, single mother. She is not so stand-offish that she comes across as a man hater. She DOES, however, put her son, and (SURPRISE!), herself before anything else. Yes, her son is her main focus, and she does lose her way a bit when it comes to letting her hair down, but when she finally figures out that it’s okay, she hits her stride. When these two finally trust in their feelings for each other, you feel that anything is possible. I also loved that their romance was slow to build. Yes, they were attracted to each other, but it took a bit for their true romance to build.

The secondary characters are well written and definitely leave you wanting more. The Lund family this series is written around is a triple threat: loving, forgiving and funny at times. Yes, they’re mega-wealthy, but if there is such a thing as being grounded billionaires, it would be the Lunds. I have loved everything I’ve ready by Lorelei James, and this series is no exception. If you’re a romance fan, you’ll love this series too. It pulls you in at the very beginning and leaves you wanting more. Well done, Lorelei James! Very, very well done!

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date April 4, 2017

PR agent Annika Lund can spin any disaster into a win. But revamping the reputation of a notorious Swedish hockey player will take every trick in her arsenal, especially when his agent insists that convincing everyone he’s no longer a playboy is top priority. And that it requires a sham relationship—with Annika playing the part of loving girlfriend.

On fire in the rink and in the bedroom, Axl Hammerquist couldn’t care less about being anyone’s golden boy. So when his agent forces him to play nice with a new publicist, he takes satisfaction in being as much of a pain as possible. But the more time he spends getting to know Annika, the more Axl starts to think that being Mr. Nice Guy might be worth it if it gets him the girl.

•••••••••••

REVIEW:

All You Need begins with Axl’s reputation in trouble.. Annika’s reputation in the PR world is legendary due to her Ice Queen veneer and lots of hard work. When Axl’s agent works a little magic behind the scenes with Annika’s mother, Annika is basically roped into helping revamp his star hockey player’s reputation. Annika finds herself disgusted with Axl’s behavior, but also finds herself intrigued, which is the last thing she wants. Axl is sure Annika is just a poor little rich girl but agrees, along with Annika, to work together. Once their mission, for lack of a better term, is underway, it doesn’t take either long to see that neither are what the other thought. What follows is a wonderfully written story that will have you turning the pages faster and faster until the very end.

I LOVE THIS SERIES. The characters are well written and leave you wanting more information about them. Annika is not your typical socialite. She’s compassionate, smart and very loyal to everyone she loves. She is also a very hard worker. Axl started out as a typical off-the-rails and out of control pro athlete. As I read his antics in the beginning, I thought there was no way that James could redeem him. Oh, was I wrong. His and Annika’s chemistry leaps off the page and pulls you right into the story. Yes, there are bumps along the way, misunderstandings and all the trappings of romance angst, but the support they have for each other and from the Lund family itself makes this one a tad different for me. Each and every one of them are very well written, and begging for their stories to be told. This is only the third book in the series, and you can read as a stand along, but I’d suggest going back and reading the first two as well. They are awesome as well. If you’re a romance fan, you will definitely NOT go wrong with this series. Well done, Lorelei James!!!! Very, very well done!

Lorelei’s books have been nominated for and won the Romantic Times Reviewer’s choice Award, as well as the CAPA Award. Lorelei lives in western South Dakota with her family…and a whole closet full of cow girl boots.

From Lorelei: “Why do I have a particular fondness for all things western? Well, I’m a fourth generation South Dakotan, living in the Black Hills, which is chock-full of interesting characters, including cowboys, Indians, ranchers, and bikers. The geographical diversity of the surrounding area showcases mountains, plains, and badlands. Living in and writing about rural settings gives me a unique perspective, especially since I’m not writing historical westerns. Through my fictional world, I can show the ideals and the cowboy way of life are still very much alive.”

What You Need by Lorelei James – Review & Giveaway

Amazon / Barnes & Noble / Kobo / BAM / The Book Depository

Description:
As the CFO of Lund Industries, Brady Lund is the poster child for responsibility. But eighty hour work weeks leave him little time for a life outside his corner office. His brothers stage an intervention and drag him to a seedy night club…where he sees her, the buttoned up blonde from the secretarial pool who’s starred in his fantasies for months.

Lennox Greene is a woman with a rebellious past—which she carefully conceals beneath her conservative clothes. She knows flirting with her sexy, but aloof boss during working hours is a bad idea. So when Brady shows up at her favorite dive bar, sans his usual snappy suit, and catches her cutting loose, she throws caution aside and dares him to do the same.

After sparks fly, Brady finds keeping his hands off Lennox during office hours is harder than expected. While she makes him feel alive for the first time in years, a part of him wonders if she’s just using him to get ahead. And Lennox must figure out if Brady wants her for the accomplished woman she is—or the bad girl she was.

Review:

The blurb says it all……. “Brady Lund is the poster child for responsibility.” He’s a bit nerdy and geeky with a lot of hotness thrown in. He’s immersed himself in his work to make sure that he lives up to the family name. He doesn’t make much time for fun, so when his brother stage their intervention, he bites and tags along.

Lennox Greene does indeed have a rebellious past, but has made a good life for herself and is working her way up at Lund Industries. When an old family friend calls and asks if she’s forgotten about her old buddies, Lennox decides a night out won’t be too bad and heads out. As she’s having fun with her bar buddies, she is more than surprised to see Mr. Brady Lund himself. In her favorite dive bar of all places.

When Brady and Lennox start to navigate a relationship that she’s intent on keeping secret from her coworkers, there are a few bumps along the way. As they start really falling for each other, a couple of huge misunderstandings throw them both for a loop. And, as they start to try and understand each other’s past, neither is quite sure if they can make it work. But, once things are out in the open, they do indeed find out what they need.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s a bit different from James’ other works, in my opinion. This is a sweetly developed romance with sensuality and two nicely developed characters. I loved that Brady was unsure of himself and not the typical alpha that is all too prevalent in romances today. I loved Lennox as well. A self made woman who picked herself up by her boot straps and works hard to prove to everyone, mostly to herself, that she can do it. She doesn’t take the easy way out of anything. Instead, she meets every obstacle head on. The chemistry between the two was mutual and not one sided, even from the beginning. If you’re looking for a quick, sexy read, this one is definitely for you. I can’t wait for the next!   Well done, Lorelei James! Very well done.
