Told from dual first person perspectives (Nico and Everleigh) END GAME covering a few weeks in the lives, follows the building romance and relationship between Nico and Everleigh. Everleigh Olmstead has transferred to UC Santa Mira but in a matter of hours, our heroine is homeless, jobless, a victim of theft, with no place to go. Overhearing a conversation between roommates and college students, Everleigh finds herself the newest member of the household, a household full of football stars (Nico, Frank, Cooper), and the envy of every girl on campus but all is not as it appears to be when jealousy, envy, issues of trust, the requisite mean girl aim to take our heroine down. The relationship between Nico and Everleigh is one of immediate attraction but Everleigh believes Nico is out of her league; unworthy of a football star’s attention, and just another proverbial notch in a long line of women. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate.

We are introduced to several members of the UC Santa Mira Dolphin’s foot ball team: Frank Dollar, Cooper, quarterback Gavin, Cooper’s sister Sienna, and Nico’s former fling Portia. There is something developing between Sienna and Gavin.

END GAME is a story of friendships, relationships, family and love. The premise is captivating but there is limited conflict; anti climactic and the mean girl story line quickly disappears-. The romance is seductive; the characters are determined and charismatic.

This is nineteen year old, Bratva heir Kade Gurkovsky, and Kolyav’s story line. DEVIOUS KNIGHT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous series and story line is revealed where necessary.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Thorn and Ivy (vicious Knight 1), Lucian and Eilish, Aleksander Ivanov, mean girl Tiffany Vasilyev, and Isabelle’s friend Mackenzie. We are introduced to Isabelle’s father Principal Kolyav, and new university director Parker Federov.

DEVIOUS KNIGHT is a story of secrets and lies, power and control, betrayal and vengeance, obsession, redemption and determination, acceptance and love but saying that there is a familiarity to each instalment and interconnected series and stories . The character driven premise is dramatic, intense and captivating; the romance is forced proximity but seductive; the characters are animated and tragic.

VICIOUS KNIGHT is a story of betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, murder and retribution, power and control, family, friendships, relationships and love. The premise is dark, dramatic and intense but there is a definite ‘YA’ young adult feel to the story line with the mean girls and controlling/ oblivious adults; the romance is forced but eventually passionate and loving; the characters are broken , determined and embattled.

REVIEW: Book one in a new series from an author I’ve added to my one-click list.

RJ and Aimee are sisters, but are as different as night and day. Aimee excels at everything she does. whereas poor RJ is a klutz! Her magic is tricky to handle, it doesn’t do what it’s expected of it!

Raised by their overbearing mother, who expects nothing but perfection, it makes RJ’s life hard. As exams approach, RJ knows that her sister will pass easily, her, not so much! Finding a Grimoire has the sisters excited to try some of the spells they find inside. RJ hopes it might stabilise her magic.

A syphoner begins to attack witches. He’s draining the witches of their magic! And it attacks Aimee, who loses her magic!! It’s up to (seemingly the only witch left) RJ to find out who’s behind the witches losing their magic, as well as controlling her magic, and don’t forget her crush on the popular in the academy.

Set in an academy, I’d say it’s more of a YA read rather than adult, which I’ve come to expect from this author. But it doesn’t stop the story from being full of action and just a tad dark.

There is romance, Zane is the popular boy in the academy, and he is interested in her, but why did I get the feeling he’s only playing with her feelings? Has he got some ulterior motive? And I think he has a few secrets (I might be wrong.)

And for RJ’s powers, they might be hit a d miss, but when they work, they surpass and surprise everyone, including RJ. Will she be someone with powers to fear? Or will she be able to vanquish the foe?

Very well written and thought out. Lots of information and the descriptions will have you imagining the scenes pretty clear.

I can’t wait to see where we go next.

Review:

A Sinful Gift by Emma Castle is a spicy novella. Hazel Callahan has just won her law case, against her rival, Blake.  She celebrates her win at a bar, and meets a hot sexy man; but decides to go home alone.  As she leaves to her car, she is kidnapped by her mysterious captor, and he tells her he is bringing her to a friend as a gift.  Hazel isn’t afraid of anything, as she is intelligent and feisty, able fight off anyone, but this hunk of a man carries her to the house where she will meet the man who is to be her gift.

To Hazel’s surprise, the man who was gifted, turns out to be her rival, Blake; as they had a relationship years ago, and Blake has never forgotten her. Blake tells her he plans to share her with her captor, Mason, who is his best friend.  Hazel finds herself totally attracted to both men, and a game of seduction begins. They tell her that she would be worshipped like a goddess, with both sharing her.  Hazel willingly knows she will love the attention and all the steamy sex; especially with two men who are swoon worthy.  Blake & Mason (best friends) were determined to win her over, with an overload of pleasure; and Hazel worries that she may never want to leave.

What follows is a very steamy and sexy story, that was constant sex from start to finish. I liked each character individually, as they were loving and caring. Blake having not forgotten about Hazel, was going to do all he could to not let her get away again.  I did think this was a bit too much constant sex scenes.   For those of you who like this steamy storyline, you probably will need to take a cold shower.  😊

REVIEW:  DESERT HEAT is the third instalment in Jax Hart’s contemporary, new adult RBMC: SANTA FE erotic, MC romance series-a part of the multi-authored RBMC. This is president of the RBMC: Santa Fe chapter River Cruz aka Hunter Northport, and MC princess Savannah ‘Graystone’s’ story line. DESERT HEAT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Told from dual first person perspectives (Savannah and River) DESERT HEAT follows in the wake of the murder of a member of the RBMC: Santa Fe. The RBMC: Santa Fe is at war with a rival MC-a massive warehouse fire, theft of close to one-million dollars in merchandise, and the murder of one of their own, sets the new MC president, River Cruz, on the tail of his rival’s daughter. Enter Savannah ‘Graystone’, a young woman in hiding at a preppy college in Maine, a college in which River, and his MC brother Rogan akaTank, are about to enroll. What ensues is the building relationship predicated upon lies between our story line couple, and the potential fall-out when Savannah discovers the truth about River Cruz.

Savannah is the daughter of the president of The Outlaws MC, Albuquerque, and as such she has become a target of our story line hero. Demanding reparations for the murder of one of their own, River Cruz is taking aim at the woman with whom he will fall in love.

The relationship between Savannah and River aka Hunter is predicated upon a number of lies. Savannah is not whom she claims to be , and River is hoping to destroy the club he blames for the death of his MC brother. Seducing Savannah came easily but the truth was about to spiral out of control. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate and intense.

We are reintroduced to Amber and Tarak, Regan and Edge; River’s Sargent Rogan aka Tank; Savannah’s friend Brandi, as well as Dean Smith, and several members of both The Outlaws and RBMC: Santa Fe.

DESERT HEAT is a fast paced story of betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, power and control. The character driven premise is intriguing and haunting; the characters are desperate, animated and real; the romance is seductive.
