REVIEW: RAVAGE is the third installment in Tillie Cole’s contemporary, adult SCARRED SOULS dark, erotic, romance series focusing on the Russian Mafia, the Georgian Bratva criminal underground, cage fighting and blood pits, and two families torn apart by power and greed. This is enslaved killer 194 (aka Valentin Belrov), and New York Russian mafia princess Zoya Kostava. RAVAGE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for cohesion and back story.

WARNING: RAVAGE contains graphic violence and sexual imagery that may be disturbing for some readers.

Told from several first person points of view including Zoya and Valentin, RAVAGE is a graphically violent story of one man’s struggle to remember his past and survive to live another day. 194 is a killer with no idenity; a warrior trained to torture and maim, a scarred and brutally savage killing machine, and a man determined to free himself from bondage to save his sister from a similar fate. At twelve years old, Valentin and his younger sister Inessa were taken from an orphanage, and their fate and future became part of a series of illegal, underground drug tests towards building the ultimate fighting machine and obedient soldier. 194’s latest target assignment is Zaal Kostava, the head of New York’s Russian mafia and there is nothing he can do when designer drugs used to keep him under control turn the once loving young man into a monster with no heart. But 194 finds himself falling for his latest captive- a woman long thought dead with connections to Zaal Kostava, and a woman that begins to tame the beast within. Zoya Kostava will become 194’s prisoner; his target of torture and abuse; and the woman with whom Valentin will fall in love. There is a Stockholm Syndrome feel to the relationship and rescue.

RAVAGE is a heartbreaking and tragic story of Beauty and the Beast, and Anastasia Romanov; a tale of torment, aggression and exploitation; a distressing look at power and control. The brutality and violence is fierce; our heroine will become the victim of a drug-controlled monster but a woman who continues to fight to remain alive. 194 is a broken and mutilated killing machine who is desperate to hold onto his humanity and his memories of who and what he was before he became the monster of his own nightmares.

Once again, the world building focuses on the imprisonment, torture and training of young boys; the men and monsters they will become; and the people who destroyed their lives. As the series progresses, each of our story line heroes sets into motion a string of events that will ultimately free both their bodies and their souls finding love and a happily ever after in the arms of a woman that calms the dark and damaged beast. The premise is disturbing and dark; the characters are tragic and intense; the romance is controversial and dramatic-sometimes monster deserve a happily ever after.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 18, 2016

The first time I met Chase Parker, I didn’t exactly make a good impression.

I was hiding in the bathroom hallway of a restaurant, leaving a message for my best friend to save me from my awful date.

He overheard and told me I was a bitch, then proceeded to offer me some dating advice.

So I told him to mind his own damn business—his own tall, gorgeous, full-of-himself damn business—and went back to my miserable date.

When he walked by my table, he smirked, and I watched his arrogant, sexy ass walk back to his date.

I couldn’t help but sneak hidden glances at the condescending jerk on the other side of the room. Of course, he caught me on more than one occasion, and winked.

When the gorgeous stranger and his equally hot date suddenly appeared at our table, I thought he was going to rat me out.

But instead, he pretended we knew each other and joined us—telling elaborate, embarrassing stories about our fake childhood.

My date suddenly went from boring to bizarrely exciting.

When it was over and we parted ways, I thought about him more than I would ever admit, even though I knew I’d never see him again.

I mean, what were the chances I’d run into him again in a city with eight million people?
Then again…

What were the chances a month later he’d wind up being my new sexy boss?

REVIEW: BOSSMAN is the first installment in Vi Keeland’s adult, contemporary Dirty Office erotic, romance series This is business entrepreneur Chase Parker, and advertising and promotions executive Reese Annesley’s story line

Told from dual first person perspectives (Chase and Reese) using present day and memories from the past, BOSSMAN looks at the forbidden relationship between Chase Parker and Reese Annesley. Reese is desperate to escape her current employer-a failed office ‘romance’, and being overlooked for promotion meant Reese was on the fast track, going nowhere. An accidental meeting at a local bar with Chase Parker found our heroine on the receiving end of a night filled with stories and sexual attraction leading Reese to an interview and the possibility of a new job at Parker’s company. What ensues is the forbidden relationship between boss and employee, and Chase’s struggle to let go of the past.

Both Reese and Chase have suffered tragedy in their pasts. Reese’s inability to feel safe is a reminder of what happened years before; Chase’s guilt and grief prevent our story line hero from moving forward in his personal life-in this, Chase begins to push Reese away but not before breaking her heart one last time.

The attraction and chemistry between Chase and Reese is immediate and palpable but our couple are at odds about what they want going into the future. Chase owns the company for which Reese works, and Reese has already suffered through a failed, office fling. There is plenty of sexual banter and sinful innuendo, and of course the requisite curious concerns when Reese’s fellow employees become aware of her office romance with the bossman. The $ex scenes are intimate, sexy and seductive.

We are introduced to several secondary and supporting characters including Reese’s best friend Jules, her brother Owen, and a number of employees at Parker Industries. Samantha Richmond, Chase’s best friend since childhood, is a font of information about Chase’s past; and Reese’s immediate boss Josh Lange has too many concerns about Reese’s relationship with the company owner.

BOSSMAN is a fun and sexy read. There are moments of heartbreak and sorrow when Chase’s past becomes his present. The angst is grounded in grief and guilt-an emotion Chase has a difficult time letting go. The premise is entertaining, thoughtful and humorous; the characters are animated, lively and real; the romance is steamy and provocative. BOSSMAN is a wonderful summer read for a lazy afternoon – beside the pool or in bed with your own ‘boss man’.

Bossman Teaser

excerpt

“Sorry, I wasn’t looking where—”

I froze.

The sight of Chase standing there was almost enough to knock me over. I’d secretly hoped to see him, yet never thought I actually would. What are the chances? I did a double take, sure I was seeing things. But it was him all right, in the flesh. And what flesh it is. Standing there shirtless and wet—wearing nothing but a pair of low-slung swim trunks—he had me stuttering. Literally.

“Ch…Ch…Ch—” I couldn’t get the word out.

Of course, Chase didn’t miss a beat. He smirked and leaned in. “You do a cute train impression, Buttercup.”

He remembers me.

I shook my head, attempting to snap myself out of it. But it was no use. He was so tall, and I was so short, I had no choice but to stare at his body. Water trickled down his abs. I was mesmerized watching it speed up and slow down as it crossed the rippled lines of his six-pack. Damn.
I cleared my throat and finally spoke. “Chase.”

I was pretty freaking proud of myself for getting that much out. He had a towel slung around his neck and lifted it to dry off his dripping hair, revealing even more flesh. His pectoral muscles were carved and perfect. And—oh, my God…is that… Holy shit. It is. His nipples were cold and erect, and one of them was….was…pierced.

REVIEW: HOME ON APPLE BLOSSOM ROAD is the ninth full length installment in Sheila Roberts’s LIFE IN ICICLE FALLS contemporary, romance series focusing on the town of Icicle Falls. This is Colin Wright, and Mia Blair’s story line. HOME ON APPLE BLOSSOM ROAD can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Colin and Mia) HOME ON APPLE BLOSSOM ROAD is a second chance romance between two people who have loved one another for most of their lives. Following the death of Colin’s grandmother Justine, our leading couple are ‘sent’ on a treasure hunt designed to bring the lovers back together. Years have passed, and Colin and Mia have gone their separate ways only to rekindle what once was as they endeavor to follow the clues Grandma Justine left behind.

HOME ON APPLE BLOSSOM ROAD is a story of second chances told from present day and flashbacks using Grandma Justine’s letters written to her own mother and friends; of family, friendships, and small town living wherein the townsfolk are all involved in a treasure hunt meant to bring two wayward souls home for good. Throughout the story, we are reintroduced to several of the previous story line characters, as well as revisiting some of the small, intimate shops of Icicle Falls. The rebuilding of the romance is slow to develop as Colin has complications of which he has yet to let go.

The story line focuses on the past; of what happened and what was always meant to be. We are up close and personal with Colin and Mia throughout their childhood; their ups and downs; and the eventual misunderstanding that destroyed their love for one another.

Sheila Roberts writes an emotional, clean story line of reflection; of regret; of forgiveness and love. HOME ON APPLE BLOSSOM ROAD is a sweet romance about two people who lost one another when they lost themselves. The premise is a journey between the past and the present; the characters are colorful and idealistic; the romance is rebuild to a happily ever after.
