ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date August 8, 2017

Two strangers—one warm and human, the other deadly and craving—become pawns in an all-out vampire war as this series from the New York Times bestselling author of the Nightwalkers saga heats up.

As an energy vampire, Halo enjoys the chase for human blood—if it’s pure and consensual. But Halo goes from hunter to hunted when he is knocked unconscious and taken hostage by vicious sycophants. As he comes to, he realizes that he’s naked, starving, and trapped in a sealed room. With him is a deliciously human female, tempting him to feed—except her blood is heady with the scent of poisonous drugs. Never has nourishment been so near, yet so far . . . and it’s all part of the sycophants’ sick game.

The last thing Felice Mendoza remembers is everything going black. She awakens stripped, drugged, exposed, and alone—with a vampire. Halo is at once savage and tender, terrifying and alluring. Felice senses that her only chance to escape depends upon his survival. Given the choice between Halo and his enemies, Felice surrenders to his ravenous hunger. It’s a calculated risk—and a delirious pleasure. As Felice is ushered into a world as dangerous as it is desirable, their fight for deliverance is only the beginning.

•••••••••

REVIEW: HUNGER is the second installment in Jacquelyn Frank’s contemporary, adult THE ENERGY VAMPIRES paranormal, romance series. This is energy vampire and hunter Halo, and antiques dealer Felice Mendoza’s story line.

SOME BACKGROUND: Energy vampires are aliens, descended to earth years before, who soak up their nourishment from the sun, and feed off the energy (not blood) of humans who are pure in body and spirit. Those e-vampires who cross to the dark side, getting their nourishment from the energy of impure humans, become known as sycophants. The energy vampires have been pulled into a war where the ultimate target is the Queen of the vampires, and all that she rules.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Halo and Felice) HUNGER follows two strangers-one human female and one e-vampire male-who find themselves imprisoned by an unknown jailer. Not only is Felice Mendoza unaware of the existence of the supernatural but our heroine is ‘drugged’ in an effort to force a starving Halo to turn to the dark side. What ensues is the building but forbidden relationship between Halo and Felice as they struggle to break free of their captors, and the fall out when Halo walks away from the woman with whom he has fallen in love. A good portion of the story line takes place in a secure room (cell) where our couple struggle to stay one step ahead of an unknown threat to their safety and lives

HUNGER and the Energy Vampires is a different kind of vampire series in that the vampires feed off energy and not blood. Humans are considered cattle; fodder and food at an all you can eat open restaurant; and it is forbidden to allow a human to know about the vampire’s existence-memory wiping is a frequent threat against our story line heroine. Impure energy, such as that from addicts, alcoholics and the like, will eventually turn the energy vampire into a sycophant-a self serving, vampire addict who is all about the next fix or high.

Saying that, although the concept is intriguing, the series failed to pull me in due to the less than positive treatment and consideration of humans. It’s not that I believe the humans should be treated as royalty but it is the way in which the author designed the series, and has the characters justify their misconduct towards humans. In the end, the energy vampires are snobs and bigots; reverse ‘specieism’ as it pertains to their earthly hosts; supernatural supremacists who care little for the humans from whom they feed and use. I think, if the author had presented her characters with a little less vitriol and venom towards their human counterparts I would have had more empathy for the story line characters. Perhaps it was the constant and continuous reminders (memory wiping/ bigotry) that lessened my enjoyment of the story line.

There is some great back and forth banter between our leading couple. Felice is a strong heroine who has fallen for the brooding and maddening vampire-she sees something in Halo that others have failed to accept. Halo is a hunter of the sycophant-and in this his duty is to the Queen, and not to fall in love with a human female. The series premise and story line is interesting in its’ concept but lost something in its’ presentation; the characters are colorful; the romance struggles with too many preconceived notions but there is a definite spark between our leading couple.

Can she forgive his past and renew the love they once shared?

••••••••••

REVIEW: His Highland Love is a historical romance, and is book two in her His Highland Heart Series The opening scene is in St. Andrews and the year is 1411.

Kenneth Brodie is our male lead. He had run away to France some years ago, heartbroken by the refusal of James Rose to let him marry his youngest daughter. The two were in love and he had offered for her hand in marriage, only to be told she was too young to marry. However, her father soon betrothed her to another clan leader. This news caused Kenneth to snap and thinking his love was married to another, he ran to France to fight in wars. He learned much and became a fierce warrior as well as wiser about life.

When Kenneth returned to Scotland, his friend and Laird Iain Brodie was angry he’d run away and punished him by sending him as the clan’s token hostage as demanded by the Duke of Albany. He was sent to Stirling, but later was moved to St. Andrews and his clan did not know where he was or when he’d be returned.

The lead female in this book is Cat or Catherine Rose, daughter of James Rose their clan laird. Her mother passed away while she was a child and she was raised by her father and her sisters. After her heart was broken by his refusal of her love for Kenneth, she was betrothed to three others…each failing for one reason or another. She always thought Kenneth would find a way to take her from here, but found he’d left for France. She’d had enough of this and still dreaming of Kenneth, she ran away. Her sisters helped her get safely away, keeping her from an unwanted marriage. She ran to St. Andrews to some family friends and left her father a note telling him why she left, but not where she was going.

That’s the basic gist of the beginning. Author Willa Blair is an award winning author and does a really good telling of the stories. Readers are also granted a small look at Highland confrontations and wars, the politics that was rampant in those times. Many Lairds married their daughters and even sons off for alliances, some worked…some did not.

If you love romantic highland stories of warriors and danger, love and honor, you’ll find this story intriguing as well as enjoyable. The characters and their motives are complicated with obligations warring with emotions. We’re treated to some secondary characters that are equally interesting and will be featured in future novels. I thought it was an interesting look at how daughters were beginning to find a way around the arranged marriage thing and beginning to follow their hearts. The sisters trying to help each other by manipulating their stubborn father was also interesting. Not that the practice of arranging marriages would end anytime soon.

Craft beer and the sexy men who brew it.

My employee’s daughter. The tomboy. The kid who once did odd jobs around the brewery. That’s all she was… until three years passed and she walked into my office for an interview.

Frankee Dawson is no longer that girl I once called Kiddo. She’s grown into a beautiful, sexy, desirable woman. Very desirable. And that’s a problem. She’s my employee’s daughter. Lovibond family. And too young for me. Too innocent.

I want to feel her respond to my kiss.
I want her body to tremble as she anticipates my touch.
I want to learn all the places that bring her pleasure.
But mostly I want her to know that she’s never truly been loved by a man until me.

Frankee is my intern and under me for the summer. Literally. It’s a difficult secret to maintain when you can’t keep your hands off each other.

This was supposed to be a hot summer fling. Sex and fun without commitment. That’s what we called it. But we were wrong. This is more. I’ve never felt this way about a woman. Never cared more about someone else’s happiness more than my own.

I love her. And I’m happy, so damn happy… until a terrible mistake from my past springs forward and threatens to rip us apart.

REVIEW: PORTER is the third and final installment in Georgia Cates’ contemporary, adult LOVIBOND erotic, romance series focusing on three friends –Lucas ‘Tap’ Broussard, Oliver ‘Stout’ Thorn, and William ‘Porter ‘ Beckman of Lovibond Brewery. This is Lovibond co-owner Porter Beckman, and graphic designer Frankee Dawson’s story line. PORTER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person points of view (Porter and Frankee) PORTER follows the forbidden relationship between thirty year old Lovibond co-owner Porter Beckman, and his new intern, daughter of his warehouse manager, twenty one year old graphic designer Frankee Dawson. Five years earlier Frankee Dawson worked as a student sweeping the warehouse and doing odd jobs, but the Frankee that has returned is no longer the gangly teen, but a beautiful woman that has caught the boss’s eye. Applying for the twelve week summer intern position, Frankee comes face to face with the man that has starred in all of her fantasies for close to five years, and the man with whom Frankee will fall in love. What ensues is the building but secret relationship between Frankee and Porter, and the potential fall out when Porter’s past reveals some damaging news.

Frankee Dawson has had a crush on Porter Beckman since the day he hired her father five years earlier. Now a graphic designer, Frankee hopes to impress the boss with more than her artwork, but with her body as well. Porter Beckman knows that to get involved with Frankee Dawson could threaten his relationship with her father, his warehouse manager, but Porter’s attraction to Frankee is palpable; his desire for Frankee grows quickly, and has our story line hero considering a possible future-together. But someone from Porter’s past is making life difficult for our story line couple, and in the end, Frankee must make a decision whether to stay, or move forward without the man that she loves. With the twelve week deadline looming, Frankee thought for sure she new what she wanted but a surprise announcements halts everyone in their tracks.

The relationship between Porter and Frankee is one of immediate attraction; a forbidden romance between boss and intern, but a relationship that is fated for our story line couple. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense. Our heroine was a virgin until Porter Beckman offered Frankee more than a one-night stand.

All of the previous couples and characters play secondary and supporting roles including Tap and Lawry, Stout and Adelyn, as well as Frankee’s parents, Scott and Tara Dawson; Porter’s parents Kit and Gabe Beckman, as well as Porter’s office manager Molly who sees past their friendly facade, and Frankee’s besties Dillyn and Ava. It was nice catching up with Tap and Stout, with a glimpse into the future for all three series’ couples.

PORTER is a fun and flirty story line; a sexy and sassy couple whose attraction to one another wars with their sense of right and wrong- a forbidden romance that sees two people find their happily ever after but not before facing sins of the past. The premise is impassioned; the characters are spirited and realistic; the romance is provocative and seductive. PORTER is a playful and delightful read that will having you asking for more.

excerpt

Unedited and subject to change.

Frankee and I stayed up until three in the morning. I couldn’t keep my hands off of her. Not when she was wearing that sexy-as-fuck lingerie.
I’ve never seen anyone wear anything like that. Sure, I’ve watched porn and seen it on those women, but never on a real-life woman. And never one in my bed.
Frankee is like my very own porno princess.
I gave her six orgasms last night—one an hour. I’ve never done that before. Not that I don’t have the ability. I’ve just never been inclined to.
“Frankee.”
She doesn’t stir. Not even a little. I shake her shoulder this time. “Frankee. Wake up, baby. I have to go.”
She rolls to her back and slowly opens her eyes. “Someone fucked me into next week. You’ll have to check back with me when it comes around to see if I can wake up.”
“You don’t have to get up, but I do have to go.”
“No. Don’t go. Staaaay.” She has no idea how badly I want to.
At some point during the night, Frankee washed off her makeup, and I’m seeing her for the first time without cosmetics. It’s confirmed. She’s a natural beauty and doesn’t need that garbage on her face.
“I wish I could stay in this bed with you all day, but I promised Stout I’d help him move his stuff to his new house today. I was supposed to be there already, but I couldn’t bear to leave when you looked so beautiful in my bed.”
I already know he’s going to give me shit for being late.
“Wait a minute… before you go.”
Frankee dashes to the bathroom, still wearing her porno princess attire from last night. That is one convenient getup. I hope she has more of those.
She returns from the bathroom with her hair twisted into a topknot. I don’t know what it is that makes that so damn sexy.
She wraps her arms around my shoulders and lowers herself to straddle me on the bed. “Kiss me before you go.”
Her mouth is minty. And hungry, based on the way she devours my mouth and neck. “Is this your plan for tempting me to stay?”
Her hands are working to undo the button and zipper on my jeans. “No. This is.”

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date August 1, 2017

Soul mate–or tragic fate?

Once one of the oldest dhampirs in existence, Saeed now faces a treacherously uncertain future as a vampire. He believes that the only thing that can restore his position within his coven and tether his lost soul is the flame-haired fae who is destined to be his mate.

Cerys Bain is a soul thief. She is feared by those who dwell in the supernatural realm–and hopelessly bound to the ruthless mage Rinieri de Rege. The raw, sensual vampire who enters her world is both a threat and an intoxicating temptation: No one has ever made Cerys feel the way Saeed does. But to claim their fate as soulmates, Saeed must first find a way to free Cerys from Rin. Is their desire worth the risk of certain destruction–and eternal doom?

•••••••••••••

REVIEW: THE LOST VAMPIRE is the fifth installment in Kate Baxter’s contemporary, adult LAST TRUE VAMPIRE paranormal, romance series. This is newly turned vampire Saeed Almasi, and Fae /soul thief Cerys Bain’s story line. THE LOST VAMPIRE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order as there is an ongoing premise throughout. Saeed’s story line begins in The Untamed Vampire .

Told from several third person points of view including Cerys and Saeed THE LOST VAMPIRE follows newly turned vampire Saeed Almasi as he goes in search of his mate. Thought to be mad due to the Collective memories that are destroying his mind, Saeed is desperate to find the woman that will return his soul, and calm the madness that continues to grow. Enter Cerys Bain, the woman Saeed knows to be his mate, and a woman whose life is no longer hers to control. What ensues is the building relationship between Saeed and Cerys, and Saeed’s struggle to free his mate from centuries of slavery to an ancient Master who uses Cerys’ powers to exact payment from those he believes have done him wrong.

Cerys Bain is a soul thief; a Fae female whose special abilities have been used to destroy too many lives but a woman whose guilt and anguish are tempered by the fact that Riniere de Rege, mage and boss of the local underworld, has custody of our heroine’s soul. Centuries of servitude and stealing soul’s for a man she despises have begun to take its’ toll on our story line heroine as each new soul collected takes a little of her life. Saeed Almasi was once one of the oldest dhampirs in existence. With only a few remaining vampires in the world, Saeed’s turning comes at a cost-the Collective memories of all of the vampires that have come before threatened to destroy any semblance of peace and sanity for our story line hero. Tethering his mate will return his soul but the mate he seeks has no soul to tether.

The relationship between Cerys and Saeed is one of immediate attraction but Cerys is leery about Saeed’s true intent. Without a soul Cerys knows that Saeed will not be able to tether his mate, and Saeed’s patience and growing love begin to evoke too many emotions from Cerys that have remained dormant for far too long. The $ex scene are intimate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Fae (Breanne and Fallon), shifters, vampires (Sasha Ivanov and Diego,Bria, Siobhan) , dhampirs (Jason), berserkers ( Warlord Ian Gregor) and mage (Rin). We are reintroduced to several previous story line characters including Mikhail Aristov (King of the vampires).

The world building continues to focus on the political structure, history and infighting between the various supernatural species. Six hundred years earlier the Sortiari and the Beserkers had all but wiped out the vampire race from existence as retribution for the vampires killing most of the Beserkers female population. The Beserkers became the mindless killers, enslaved by the Sortiari, and are now seeking retribution for sins of the past.

THE LOST VAMPIRE is a story of one man’s struggle to find purpose, to find his mate, and to find peace and quiet from the memories that threaten to destroy his mind. Relinquishing leadership of his coven, Saeed goes in search of a fantasy pulled from the memories of those who died long before. The premise is detailed and entertaining; the characters are colorful, many and spirited; the romance is emotional and intense. THE LOST VAMPIRE is an energetic and passionate look at the supernatural.

About the book: Release Date August 1, 2017

Never be so foolish as to fall for the enemy…
Special wolf agent Jillian Matthews has joined the jaguar-run United Shifter Force to track down a deadly criminal. She’s even willing to work with PI Vaughn Greystroke―until the hot, growly SEAL wolf makes the mistake of getting in her way. Naturally, she shoots him. Who could blame her?

Vaughn Greystroke has always worked alone. But when a string of attempted murders puts him in the crosshairs, teaming up with the Shifter Force begins to sound like a good idea. Even if he has to work with alluring―and potentially treacherous―Jillian Matthews. Vaughn is a trained SEAL, after all. He can surely keep his distance from Jillian…no matter how much she’s getting under his skin.

•••••••••••

REVIEW: SEAL WOLF UNDERCOVER is the twenty-second installment in Terry Spear’s contemporary, adult HEART OF THE WOLF paranormal, romance series. This is PI and former SEAL Vaughn Greystroke, and Special wolf agent Jillian Matthews’ story line. SEAL WOLF UNDERCOVER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. SEAL WOLF UNDERCOVER crosses over with the HEART OF THE JAGUAR series, as the author continues to build the USF-United Shifter Force headed by the jaguar team of Demetria, Everett and Howard first introduced in A Very Jaguar Christmas .

Told from dual third person perspectives (Vaughn and Jillian) SEAL WOLF UNDERCOVER follows the search for a potential killer. Vaugn Greystroke’s Colorodo pack mate and friend Douglas Wendish was attacked and left for dead while on vacation in the backwoods of Oregon, and the first person to stumble upon the scene is Special wolf agent Jillian Matthews, who shoots first and asks questions later including shooting our hero Vaughn Greystroke. But Vaughn struggles with the possibility that Jillian’s brother Miles is a suspect and the fact that Miles refuses to come forward places Vaughn in an awkward position as he quickly comes to realize that Jillian is his mate. Enter jaguar shifters Demetria, Everett and Howard, who along with Jillian and Vaughn, set out to hunt for the shifter responsible. What ensues is the fast-building relationship between Jillian and Vaughn, and the realization that Douglas Wendish kept secret his reasons for his most recent vacation

SEAL WOLF UNDERCOVER is a detailed story with mystery, intrigue, family, friendship, romance and love. There are moments of humor and fun, action and danger, sexy times and a happily ever after. The relationship between Jillian and Vaughn begins as a case of mistaken identity as Vaughn targets Miles, and Jillian targets the shifter threatening her brother. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive. The sexual energy was low key as the story line focused on the search for the truth and the hunt for a potential killer. Jillian’s brother Miles struggles for meaning in his life but what he finds are lies and betrayal.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including both wolf and jaguar shifters. The requisite evil has many faces but not all necessarily with the same end-game in mind.

SEAL WOLF UNDERCOVER is a lighthearted, spirited and energetic look at the supernatural. The premise is engaging; the characters are colorful and passionate; the romance is intimate and fated. SEAL WOLF UNDERCOVER is a satisfying and delightful addition to Terry Spear’s HEART OF THE WOLF paranormal series.

guest post

How do you develop your hero and heroine? Do the ideas come to you fully formed, or do you figure them out as you write?

Creating characters is fun, but I don’t make lists of their likes or dislikes. Or faults and strengths. I think that’s what makes them so interesting to me.

While I’m writing about my hero and heroine, they come to life in the situations they have to deal with. Conflict helps to show what they’re made of and everyone will handle a different scenario in their own unique way based on their life experiences. But I don’t know what they are, oftentimes, until I’m writing the story. It really depends on the story too.

When I was writing about Sarandon Silver in The Bounty Hunter Gets Her Wolf, the heroine is brand new to the scene, but he isn’t. He’s been in several Silver Town stories, and so he has a rich history of trouble with the pack, mostly concerning his father, the former sheriff of Silver Town. That means I have to use previous stories, his life history, to ensure he’s true to his character from the past.

With SEAL Wolf Undercover, SEAL wolf Vaughn Greymere has been in one other story as a secondary character. But I was also tying him in with the jaguars, who have been in other stories, and a brand new gray wolf, Jillian…to the scene. I wanted to open up the story where the two wolves see each other and admire each other, but don’t really meet. I wanted Vaughn to show the kind of stuff he’s made of. At a jaguar dance club, he believes a dancer on one of the high platforms that breaks away, is about to fall to her death, and being a SEAL, and an alpha wolf, and a hero type, he rushes to rescue her. This makes a great impression on Jillian, though she doesn’t know he’s a SEAL or a wolf. Or that jaguar shifters existed at that time.

They’re all thrown in together later—the jaguars and wolves—to search for whoever has injured wolves and jaguars. Only he believes Jillian’s brother is the suspect and she shoots Vaughn to protect her brother.
And that’s how it all begins when he actually meets her. He’s hot, naked, wounded, and she can’t help the way her pheromones are telling her this guy is the one she needs in her life, when he’s out to get her brother! And Vaughn’s sure she’s protecting her brother when he’s the one they need to be taking down. Though, despite her shooting Vaughn, he can’t help but want to keep her in his sights. And more.

Every hero and every heroine has their own past, their weaknesses and strengths, their dreams and goals, their likes and dislikes and all of these things help to mold them into the characters they are today. But I only learn this as they go through all their trials. In the beginning, all I know is they have to be in a situation that changes their life in some way and how the hero and heroine meet. This will also have something to do with who they are—their jobs, their goals, their dreams. And from there, the story and their characters unfold.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date August 1, 2017

As she hunts for a drug lord killing her fellow witches, all Nessa Lansa’s instincts point to the Grizzly motorcycle club. That might be because their leader, Bear, is the strong, silent shifter type: warm brown eyes and more muscle and alpha male than any woman can ignore. Which makes Tessa’s plan to seduce and betray him all the more dangerous . . .

Bear doesn’t trust the curvy, blue-eyed witch. But Tessa can heal the injuries that sap his strength. And since he can’t stop thinking of her lush body and teasing smile, her plan to mate him to reclaim her own power is highly tempting. Just one problem. Once a desire this wild is loose, no one will ever control it .

REVIEW: WICKED BITE is the fifth installment in Rebecca Zanetti’s contemporary, adult REALM ENFORCERS paranormal, romance series-a spin off from her Dark Protectors series. This is bear shifter Beauregard ‘Bear’ McDunphy, leader of the shifter nation, and witch healer Nessa Lansa’s story line. WICKED BITE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary but I recommend reading the series in order as there is an ongoing investigation and premise throughout. Bear’s story line has been developing for several installments. Several characters cross over from the author’s Dark Protector series for cohesion and familiarity.

SOME BACKGROUND: Known as Apollo, the deadly injectable designer drug of ‘Planekite’ renders its’ users in a state of god-like euphoria with super human strength, eventually leaving the abusers a seething mess of pyrotechnic ash. Apollo is also one of the few drugs able to destroy and kill the witches, and the Grizzly motorcycle club is under investigation by the Coven Nine Witch’s Council as well as the supernatural world’s elite police force.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Bear and Tessa) WICKED BITE follows the ongoing search to ferret out the person(s) responsible for making and supplying the world with the designer drug known as Apollo-a drug known to kill witches and humans alike. At the end of WICKED KISS Bear McDunphy was struggling with his supernatural abilities, and thusly our hero had gone into seclusion, remaining in his bear form, in the hopes of healing what was tearing him apart. Enter former Coven Nine council member Nessa Lansa, with an offer to heal Bear for a ‘price’. What ensues is the building relationship between Nessa and Bear, the continuing hunt for the person(s) trafficking Apollo, and the struggle to stay one step ahead of more than one enemy trying to take down Nessa Lansa.

Nessa has gone into hiding claiming someone has targeted her for her abilities but more than one enemy is hoping to destroy the woman with whom Bear is falling in love. Bear McDunphy is a bit of a loner, an over protective, grumpy alpha shifter but as the leader of the shifter nation Bear is all about the take down of his enemies,  and protection of the people he loves. Currently Bear struggles with his supernatural abilities-a dual persona that threatens to tear him apart. His relationship with Nessa struggles with our heroine’s need to keep secret the real reason for her questionable visit but it is Bear’s need to protect and claim Nessa as his mate that places our couple in the direct line of fire.

The relationship between Bear and Nessa begins as an arrangement: Bear is in desperate need of a supernatural healer, and Nessa claims to need Bear’s ‘protection’ against an unknown enemy. Nessa’s continuous lies and betrayal set into motion a relationship battle when the truth is revealed but a truth that pushes Bear a step too far. The $ex scenes are dramatic and intense-Bear has issues of trust and his mate’s ongoing betrayal brings out the animal in our story line hero.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including many of the characters introduced in the author’s Dark Protectors series including Bear’s half-sister Simone Brightston and her mate demon Nick Veis; vampire and demon Garrett Kayrs and Logan Kyllwood; ruler of the Realm King Dage Kayrs and his mate Emma: as well as Bear’s second in command Lucas, and several members of the Grizzy MC, Nessa’s second in command Jasper and her uncle Boondock. There is a hint towards the introduction of Bear’s extended family-I am hoping for another potential spin off or the continuation of the author’s Realm Enforcers.

WICKED BITE brings together shifters, demons, witches and vampires in a war to protect the supernatural realm. The premise is engaging, intriguing and energetic; the characters are sassy, passionate and dynamic; the romance is tenacious, challenging and aggressive. WICKED BITE is a revealing, fast paced and spirited story line by Rebecca Zanetti.

About the book: Release Date July 4, 2017

Working as an informant for the DEA, Victoria Monzelle is used to living on the edge. But she’s not a big fan of getting kidnapped. And definitely not by a bunch of bad boy witches with fancy-colored fire to shoot at people. So when Adam Dunne shows up and claims to be a witch enforcer, she’s not going to put her life in his hands based on his word, no matter how smooth and smart and beautifully Irish his words sound. But on the run from a tribunal of witches, she isn’t going to make it far . . .

Before she knows it, Adam’s word is all that stands between her and execution. Sophisticated, just-gotta-ruffle-him Adam has vowed to make her his one eternal mate, wild and unpredictable as she is—to save her from a sentence of certain death. But Tori isn’t interested in being anyone’s pity date. And if they think she’s unpredictable now, they should see what’s coming next .

REVIEW: WICKED KISS is the fourth installment in Rebecca Zanetti’s contemporary, adult REALM ENFORCERS paranormal, romance series-a spin off from her Dark Protectors series. This is witch enforcer Adam Dunne, and DEA informant Victoria Monzelle’s story line. WICKED KISS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order as there is an ongoing investigation and premise throughout. Any important information from previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Apollo is also one of the few drugs able to destroy and kill the witches, and the Dunne brothers, including our hero Adam Dunne, have been tasked by the Witch’s Council to take down the suppliers and makers of the drug. With a bounty on their heads, Adam’s brothers Daire and Kellach have gone into hiding leaving Adam to fend for himself.

Told from several third person points of view including Adam and Victoria WICKED KISS follows Victoria Monzelle as she finds herself on the run from the group known as the Coven Nine ruling council of witches because of her ‘awareness’ of their existence. Enter Adam Dunne, witch enforcer, Victoria’s sister Alexandra’s mate Kellach’s brother, and the man with whom Victoria will fall in love. What ensues are Adam and Victoria’s struggle to stay one step ahead of the people trying to destroy their lives, and Victoria’s reluctance to accept Adam as her potential mate.

Something isn’t right with the ruling council, and Adam and Victoria have been targeted by the man in charge. Threats against both of their lives results in Adam going rogue in the hopes of discovering the truth. A time line has been enforced by the Council for Adam to take control but Victoria is more concerned with an issue back home.

The relationship between Adam and Victoria is one of immediate attraction but Victoria has other plans. Adam knows that to save Victoria from the witch’s council, a mating will be enforced but a mating that Victoria is reluctant to undertake. Victoria’s need to protect someone back home finds our heroine taking too many risks that result in her one too many threats against her life. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense. There is some definite palpable sexual energy between our leading couple.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Alexandra and Kellach (Wicked Ride #1), Cee Cee and Daire (Wicked Edge #2), shifter Bear Brightson, and his sister Simone (Wicked Burn #3), as well as several members of the Grizzly MC, the Titans of Fire Enforcers, and the ruling council of witches. The requisite evil has many faces-both familiar and close. Bear and Nessa’s story line is next in Wicked Bite.

The world building continues to focus on the take down of the people who are making and distributing the designer drug Apollo. As the ruling council continues to target one of their own, they get some help from an outside source. Adam and Victoria’s attraction to one another began in book one, and the consummation of their relationship is a hard-fought battle until the very end.

WICKED KISS is an action packed, fast paced, entertaining and revealing story line. The premise is intelligent, thrilling and edgy; the romance is sexy and provocative; the characters are colorful, dynamic and spirited. Rebecca Zanetti’s REALM ENFORCERS is a passionate look at the supernatural, enticing characters and provocative romance.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 25 , 2017

Tristan Pierce left the family business to carve out a life of his own, but never forgot his passionate affair with the much younger, inexperienced Sydney Green, or the hurtful break-up that tore him apart. When he’s forced to return home and face his past, will he be able to carve out a future, or will lies ruin his second chance at love?

Sydney Green loved Tristan her entire life, but when he left, he took not only her heart, but her trust with him. Now that they’re together again, it’s time they both face the biggest secret of all.

•••••••••••••

REVIEW: ALL OR NOTHING AT ALL is the third and final installment in Jennifer Probst’s contemporary, adult BILLIONAIRE BUILDERS erotic, romance series focusing on the Pierce Brothers-Caleb, Dalton and Tristan Pierce- of Pierce Construction, Harrington Connecticut. This is middle brother Tristan Pierce, and executive assistant and single mother Sydney Green’s second chance story line. ALL OR NOTHING AT ALL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Sydney and Tristan’s story has been building throughout the series-the barely veiled animosity between the couple makes for some difficult working conditions.

SOME BACKGROUND: Approximately eight years earlier the Pierce brothers lost their beloved mother to a car accident only to discover she was heading off to Paris with another man, leaving their father and the brothers behind. Four years later, their embittered father would succumb to a heart attack leaving Pierce Construction to his sons under a series of conditions wherein the now adult men must work and live together for one year before they can call the business their own. Following their mother’s death five years earlier, each brother went their separate ways but not before hurtful words, and accusations ripped them apart. The brother’s fractured dynamic will slowly heal as each man finds the woman that calls to his heart.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Tristan and Sydney) ALL OR NOTHING AT ALL focuses on the fractured relationship between Tristan Pierce and Sydney Green. Since she was eight years old Sydney has been in love with Tristan Pierce. Accepted by the Pierce family as the daughter they never had Sydney felt loved by all except by the man that called to her heart. A secret affair, and the repercussions of their mother’s death found the Pierce family going in different directions including Tristan Pierce whose need to escape his controlling father found our hero pushing Sydney for things she didn’t want. A brief summer fling with Tristan ended when Sydney refused to run away with the man that she loved. Fast forward to present day wherein Tristan wants a second chance but Sydney’s keeping secret a lie that could destroy the tepid hold on their rebuilding relationship. What ensues is the rekindling romance between Sydney and Tristan, and the fall out when the truth is revealed, and Tristan is unable to admit that Sydney is the woman he loves.

The relationship between Sydney and Tristan is one of second chances; a rekindling romance between a woman who has never stopped loving Tristan Pierce, and a man who is unable to trust fearing the same betrayal and hurt from the past. Working together at Pierce Construction forces Tristan and Sydney together but sins from the past will reawaken more betrayal and heartbreak for our leading couple. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and seductive but Tristan’s reluctance to let himself love, once again, pushes Sydney to the fringes of their splintering relationship. The sexual tension is high but once Sydney’s secret is revealed, the animosity and emotional withdrawal by Tristan is justified-Sydney’s dishonesty and deception, and lack of earlier remorse is painful and destructive for everyone concerned. I had to question her continuing need to keep secret the truth from the man she would always love furthering the contempt in their already volatile relationship.

All of the previous story line couples play secondary and supporting roles as we get a glimpse into the relationship dynamics with family, friends and the people they love.

At times, ALL OR NOTHING AT ALL is an emotional and heartbreaking tale of secrets and lies, unrequited love, betrayal, guilt and loss- I may have shed a tear or twenty but don’t tell anyone. Sydney’s secret betrayal and Tristan’s unwillingness to love continues to build walls that will soon overtake any semblance of peace or a potential future for two people whose lives were destroyed years before. The premise is dramatic and intense; the characters are colorful, spirited and energetic; the romance is emotional and challenging.
