This is firefighter/smoke jumper Everett MacMillan, and pre school teacher Aria Bueller’s story line. KEEPME CLOSE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Aria and Everett) KEEP ME CLOSE follows in the wake of a one-night stand. Five years earlier, Aria and Everett spent one night together, and in the ensuing aftermath, Aria discovered she was pregnant, and the man she knew only as James, was no longer in the picture. Fast forward to present Day, Everett MacMillan returns to Somerset Harbor wherein he will discover he fathered a child he knew nothing about. Having never known Everett’s true identity, Aria has no reason to reveal the extent of the truth but Everett’s reappearance threatens Aria’s long fought struggle as a single parent. Everett wants nothing to do with being a father but a the discovery of his son forces Everett to reconsider his future going forward. What ensues since the building relationship between Everett, Aria and their son, as Everett struggles with what happened and why.

The relationship between Aria and Everett began as a one-night stand in which neither one committed to the other but Everett, more or less, lied about his true identity, leaving a pregnant Aria to struggle alone. Reconnecting with Everett meant having to deal with the possibility of another rejection in the face of Everett battling between head and heart. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.

We are reintroduced to Cormac MacMillan and Aria’s best friend Lily (Kiss Me Again), Beau MacMillan and Elsie (Say You’ll Stay), and Beckett MacMillan.

KEEP ME CLOSE is a story of family, friendships, secrets and lies. The premise is engaging and captivating; the romance is seductive; the characters are determined and dynamic.

Told from three first person perspectives (Hunter, Luna, Vigilante) SECRET VENDETTA follows in the aftermath of a trial in which Luna’s client is murdered, and our heroine quickly discovers she will be targeted for something she knows nothing about. Years earlier, Luna’s father was charged and sentenced for a crime he did not commit, and Luna promised she would do everything to prove her father’s innocence but Luna never expected to fall for ADA Hunter Lockwood, who proclaims himself Luna’s guardian and protector. As the threats against Luna become deadly and dark, Hunter goes on the offensive searching for the people threatening the woman he loves. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Luna and Hunter, and the potential fall-out as the Vigilante declares open season on anyone he deems on the wrong side of the law.

The world building focuses on love and retribution. Luna lost her father to a wrongful conviction, and Hunter lost his father to a murder’s gun. As the threats against Luna increase, Hunter provides Luna with shelter and love, a shelter that is about to become something more.

The relationship between Luna and Hunter begins as professional as they will meet one another in court. When Luna’s client is murdered, Hunter becomes protector of the woman with whom he will fall in love but everything is not as it appears to be, as the threats against Luna are often taken down by a Vigilante seeking justice for those who have been wronged. In the early stages Luna refuses to accept that her life is in danger, often placing herself in the direct line of fire, thusly TSTL would be an apt description. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to a strong cast of secondary and supporting characters: Luna’s father Richard Payne, as well as Hunter’s brothers Jace, Grayson and Bryson, .their uncle Alexander; Luna’s best friend Sean, Detective Rinaldi, as well as several security specialists, and private investigator Barry Mansfield; Luna’s client Dominic, and his brother Franco. The requisite evil has many faces.

SECRET VENDETTA is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, obsession and love. The fast paced premise is intriguing, dramatic and dark; the romance is seductive and provocative; the characters are desperate, determined and tenacious. SECRET VENDETTA ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

Like FILTHY LIES, the premise is dark, intricate, dramatic and multi-layered; the romance is seductive and fated; the characters are determined, desperate, charismatic and often problematic.

This is former US Army soldier Archer Bennett, and Thea Barlowe’s story line. CHARGE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading book two DECEPTION for some back story and cohesion. Archer is Everleigh Bennett Costa’s brother (Deception 2).

A rescue mission at sea finds Archer face to face with the woman he has always loved, a woman who is now married to someone else. Enter Thea Barlowe, whose life is nothing like she had ever expected. The relationship between Thea and Archer is a childhood friends to lovers in which their rekindling friendship would break through years of doubt and perceived abandonment for our story line heroine. Archer’s return from service in Guyana left our hero a shell of his former self, eventually pulling away from everyone he loved. The $ex scenes are passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters are dynamic and familiar. We are reintroduced to Everleigh Bennett Costa, Gunner and Freya (Stealth 1), as well as the introduction of William Barlowe, Ciel; security specialists Devon, and Carter.

CHARGE is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, family and friendships, forgiveness and love. The premise is intriguing, engaging and captivating but the conflict resolution was too quick, and everything was solved behind the scenes and off page; the romance is seductive and fated; the characters are charismatic and dynamic.

Told from dual first person perspectives. (Dex and Shelby) HER BILLIONAIRE BARGAIN follows the building romance and relationship between our story line couple. Dexter Shaw is a successful divorce attorney whose lifestyle is questionable at best. As the sole owner of the family law firm, Dexter must keep up appearances and the first thing is to redesign the home in which he no longer feels welcome. Enter interior designer and the woman with whom Dexter will fall in love-single mother/interior designer Shelly Wilde. As Dexter struggles to keep his attraction to Shelby at bay, our heroine battles between head and heart with issues of trust as it pertains to our story line hero. What ensues is the building relationship between Dex and Shelby, as our couple learn to navigate a life of instant attraction, instant family and the frenetic pace of two people learning to control their impulses.

The world building focuses trust and acceptance. Shelby has struggled as a single mother with virtually no help from her ex, a father who wants nothing to do with his only daughter. Trust doesn’t come easy, and Shelby’s first introduction to Dex left much to be desired. Dexter Shaw knows he has to change his image beginning with his bachelor lifestyle, and a home more conducive to family and love.

The relationship between Dex and Shelby begins a a business arrangement when Shelby is hired to redesign and decorate Dex’s mansion but from the outset Shelby struggles with Dex’s frenetic pace and over the top behavior. As Dex pursues Shelby for something more, Shelby must come to term with possible changes at home. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate and intense.

The interesting and entertaining secondary and supporting characters including Dexter’s brother attorney Preston Shaw, their father Isaac Shaw; attorney Bishop Stone, attorney Eli Turner, veterinarian Grant Thorne, Dexter’s assistant Isis Jenkins, Shelby’s parents, and her daughter Alice aka Berry, and Bob.

HER BILLIONAIRE BARGAIN is a story of family and friendships, trust and acceptance, determination and love. The slow building premise is impassioned; the romance is seductive; the characters are quirky and fun.

REVIEW:It’s always a gamble when you decide to try a new author. But I’m glad I did, Jodee Jean Daniels writes a great story. It took me a little while to work everyone out in the book, a few of the characters have two identities. And there is a story behind how all the characters become involved with one another. It’s also told in all the main characters points of view (that’s where it gets a little confusing with all the voices going on in your head!)

Liliane in my opinion is one of the most kicka$$ female characters I’ve read in a long time. Bounty hunter/justice seeker/avenger. Call it what you like, she gets the job done when most other teams can’t. She doesn’t trust the government (she holds them responsible for her losing family members!)
She holds a ledger and within it are names she needs to cross off (you’ll find out more in the book) but when it becomes her sole focus she loses sight of her family and her loves. Can she find that balance? Or will the darkness finally consume her?

We have the villain of the book, he’s trying to create super soldiers (a little like Christine Feehan’s Ghostwalker series, which is an amazing series, a group of ordinary men turned into soldiers who are smarter/faster than normal soldiers) but in this book they are created at an infancy level!)

It’s a pretty fast paced book. Action and adventure, with a little romance thrown in. It’s really well written and cleverly thought out.

I liked all the different points of view going on, I liked that time and time again Lili was caught between a rock and a hard place, but she never really gave up. And her team of eight, I didn’t have a favourite as they just seemed to gel and merge as one entity, but they always had Lili’s back.

I’m hoping for a second book to this series as I’d like to see more adventures and adversaries for Lili and her eight to take on..

If you like action and adventure then give this book a try. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
