Enter Blake Rourke. The world building focuses on the past; the team’s fight for a championship cup in the wake of the accident; Blake and Rowan’s rekindling romance; and the possibility of a future going forward.

Blake is struggling with his family’s dysfunctional family dynamics, and both Blake and Rowan are struggling to prove they are worthy of a permanent position with the team. There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and interesting secondary and supporting characters including the previous story line couples: team owner Harper Barrowman-DeLugo;, and her husband goalie Gabe DeLugo; and Coach Vanek. We are introduced to several minor league players who have been called up including Bodi Michener, Dylan Hayes, Warren Franco and Mikey Stevens; Blake’s sister Phoebe, and their father Ethan.

PLAYOFF is a story of second chances and forgiveness, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The premise is effective and captivating; the romance is seductive; the characters are determined, dynamic and charismatic.

One night together ends with Savage pushing Honor away, a mistake he will regret for all time. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.

REVIEW: BRUISER’S RECKONING is the seventh instalment in EC Land’s contemporary, adult DEVIL’S RIOT MC: SOUTHWEST erotic, MC romance series. This is paramedic Gwyneth Haney, and MC treasure Dorian ‘Bruiser’ Gentry’s story line. BRUISER’S RECKONING can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary but for back story and cohesion I recommend reading book six SAVAGE’S HONOR.

The relationship between Gwyneth and Bruiser is one of immediate attraction but our heroine struggles with her loss of independence, and the possible identity of the people responsible for the threats to her life. Under Bruiser’s guardianship and protection, Gwyneth finds herself falling for a man who is will to go above and beyond. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful secondary and supporting characters many of whom we me in the previous instalment. We are introduced to Gwyneth’s brother Simon, and their grandfather, father and step-mother.

BRUISER’S RECKONING is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, dysfunctional family behavior, jealousy and obsession, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is dramatic and thought provoking; the romance is spicy:the characters are animated.

REVIEW:I really do love a good small town romance! Here and Now is the next installment in the Ember Falls series. As always, I do recommend reading the series in order, book one All Too Well is such a sweet story with characters that are also featured in H&N.

Miles Anderson isn’t your typical nerd, sure he has the glasses and pocket protector, but this man is all kinds of sexy. As principal of the local school, he was borned and raised in Ember Falls, a place he always comes back to. He also is the coach to the little league hockey planners, his nephews team, this leads him to Kai and his mother Penelope. It’s a goofy meet-cute for them, but something keeps drawing him back to her, something about her that he just can’t get out of his head. He brings her coffee just to spend time with her and treats Kai like his own.

Penelope has had it rough. She and her young son make the move to Ember Falls for a new being and to be ready at a moment’s notice to leave again. No friends, no connections, no feelings. Always on the run, always moving, keeping Kai safe no matter what. All her plans go out the window when Miles wedges his way into their lives, and the most scary thing about it? She doesn’t mind him there.

What an adventure! Small-town romances have always been a one click buy for me, but this one is a fantastic read. Shy, single Mom on the run with her young son, meets a hot nerd who wants to take care of them no matter what, all wrapped in a suspenseful mystery sprinkled with spice. Nothing is better than that.

The world building follows the building relationship between Janey and JD; the search for a killer; and the possibility of something more nefarious taking aim at the livestock and cattle. While Janey discovers the how and why, law enforcement must begins an investigation in the who and where.

The relationship between Janey and JD begins as friends to lovers but the start of their relationship is mired in a misperception and misunderstanding. Janey is a bit of a workaholic, as the only local veterinarian in Libby Montana, and the overwhelming number of cases is questionable at best. As JD begins a slow seduction of our story line heroine, Janey must come to terms and accept that there is more to JD than meets the eye. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and test.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and familiar secondary and supporting character including the return of Sloane and Dan, Jillian and Wolff; several members from the original High Mountain Trackers series-Jonas and Alex, Jackson, Sully & Pippa, and Bo; JD’s sister Una, and their parents James and Ama; FBI Agents Shane Wilcox, and Stephanie Kramer; Sheriff Ewing; Janey’s assistant Frankie Bastian , and veterinarian student Logan Osborne. The requisite evil has many faces.

HIGH DENSITY is a story of power and control, secrets and lies, betrayal and jealousy, family and friendships, relationships and love. The premise is dramatic and intriguing; the romance is impassioned and seductive; the characters are determined and charismatic.
