REVIEW: RATTLIN’ BONES is the fourth instalment in Nikki Landis’ contemporary, adult RBMC: Las Vegas erotic, slightly paranormal, dark, MC romance series, set in the multi-authored RBMC worlds. This is forty year old Brandon ‘Skeletor’ Myers, and twenty-five year old Lacey Maxwell’s story line. RATTLIN’ BONES can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: RATTLIN’ BONES and the RBMC : Las Vegas crosses over with RBMC: Tonopah.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Skel and Lacey) following two time lines RATTLIN’ BONES focuses on the building but struggling relationship between our story line couple. Approximately three years earlier Brandon ‘Skeletor’ Myers found Lacey Maxwell, daughter of Judge Curtis Maxwell, zip tied and left in a local cemetery but their ensuing hot and heavy relationship ends when Skel is forced to walk away only to find himself pulled back into our heroine’s life, three years later, when the past is determined to make Lacey pay for the sins of her father.

The world building focuses on dual timelines in which the RBMC is determined to seek vengeance against the Bladed Serpents, for the murder of one of their own, and in doing so, take down the man targeting our story line heroine.

The relationship between Skel and Lacey is tempestuous in the wake of Brandon aka Skel walking away from our story line heroine. Skel has never forgotten the woman who now controls his heart but in order to safeguard the woman he loves, Skeletor much choose a different path going forward. The $ex scenes are provocative and intense.

The secondary and supporting characters include Lacey’s father Judge Curtis Maxwell, as well as RBMC member Manic, Creature, and MC president Maddog. The requisite evil has many faces.

RATTLIN’ BONES is a story of vengeance, murder and madness, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is entertaining and haunting but felt rushed-the three year jump in timelines offers no discernable information; the romance is seductive; the characters are determined and animated.

Reconnecting with the bikers, Sydney finds herself with a new family, friends and a future but no everyone is happy with the situation. The $ex scenes are limited but provocative.

The secondary and supporting characters are limited. We are introduced to Sydney’s new friend Clarise; club bunny ‘Barbie’; Sydney’s ex Daryl; as well as the return of Molly (Claimed by the Bikers 1), and RBMC Tonopah LV’s white reaper / tracker Bones.

ONE NIGHT WITH THE BIKERS is a fast paced, quick read focusing on secrets, betrayal, acceptance and love. The premise is entertaining yet dramatic but I wish there was a little more time spent with the foursome; the characters are dangerous, determined and dynamic.

The world building continues to focus on Crow’s relationship and growing love for Bella Hart; his reconnection with the sister he never knew; and his hatred for the mother that left years before. Told from dual first person perspectives (Mammoth and Rowen) INFINITELY MINE follows the quick building relationship between our story line couple. Rowen Casey and her son Jake had recently escaped an abusive situation when RBMC Tonopah NV vice president found an ailing Rowen on the side of the road. Mammoth’s ‘reaper’ Helkin knew immediately that Rowen Casey was their mate, and Mammoth became guardian and protector of the woman with whom he would fall in love but all was not well in Rowen’s past when our heroine becomes payment for a debt. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Mammoth and Rowen, and the potential fallout as the past refuses to let go.

The world building focuses on members of the RBMC: Tonopah NV, their ability to ‘reap’ the souls of the ultimate evil, and the special abilities of Rowen’s son Jake.

The relationship between Mammoth and Rowen is one of immediate attraction and insta-lust . Mammoth believes he has found his mate, and when the past refuses to let go of the woman he loves, Mammoth is determined to ‘reap’ the souls of the men who destroyed her life. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.

Several of the previous story line couples return as secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced to Rowen’s son Jake. The requisite evil has many faces.

REVIEW: DEVIL’S RIDE is the fourth instalment in Nikki Landis’ contemporary adult RBMC: TONOPAH NV dark, erotic, paranormal MC romance series. Told from dual first person perspectives (Tricia and Grim) with a final chapter from Patriot, DEVIL’S RIDE focuses on the building relationship between Tricia and Grim, and Grim’s introduction as one of Lucifer’s reapers. Eighteen years earlier Dex Lanford lost two of the most important people in his life at the hands of the Scorpions MC. The resulting chaos came with the arrival of Lucifer Morningstar, offering Dex death or a chance at vengeance. The premise is fast paced, intriguing and engaging; the romance is intense; the characters are broken and determined but saying that, Tricia Holloway is a little TSTL (too stupid to live) constantly placing herself in the direct line of fire; an easy target for monsters and the men taking control of her life.

Within day, Henny realizes the trio are more than your average men but men with special abilities that she is learning to see through. The $ex scenes are erotic and intense but there are no scenes with all four together.

SOME BACKGROUND: The Devil’s Murder MC is a group of bikers all with special affinities and abilities related to the crows. Some have the ability to shift; call the crows for assistance, or in the case of Talon, see through the eyes, up close and personal.

Told from several first person perspectives including Talon, Gail, Crow and Undertaker TALON focuses on the protection of Crow’s sister Gail. Upon the murder of his father and club president Rook, Crow would discover the existence of a younger sister, a woman he knew nothing about. Sending Talon to protect the only family he had left, Crow had no idea he was about to bring together a potentially mated pair but someone had targeted our story line heroine, and Talon refused to walk away from the woman with whom he would fall in love. What ensues is the building relationship between Talon and Gail, and the potential fall-out as the sins of the father take aim at the Devil’s Murder MC.

The world building focuses on the war between Devil’s Murder MC and the Dirty Death MC, a war predicated upon murder and revenge. Crow is desperate to protect the sister he never knew but in doing so would leave open the only woman he would ever love.

The relationship between Talon and Gail begins as an assignment but Talon knows immediately that Gail is their mate. Talon’s internal crow needs to claim and protect the woman they will love but someone else is always waiting to tear them down. For two months Talon stood guard over the woman he would one day call mate but the sins of the father have taken aim at our the Devil’s Murder MC. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and magical secondary and supporting characters including several members of the Devil’s Murder MC, most of whom we met in the previous story lines including Gails’ brother Austin ‘Crow’ Holmes. We are reintroduced to Dirty Death MC president Undertaker, whose ‘wolf’ is determined to destroy the people who destroy his life.

TALON is a story of murder and vengeance, secrets and lies, power and control, fate acceptance, family and love. The premise is gritty, dark, intriguing and dramatic; the romance is fated and seductive; the characters are determined, desperate and powerful. TALON ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.
