A target of bullies, Spook struggled since his arrival in Tonopah, Nevada but never expected to find his savior in our story line heroine but Spook’s past refuses to let go, and in an effort to save his life, Spook disappears for close to two years . Fast forward, Spook returns to the woman he loves only to be pushed away without a second chance. Concerned about what was happening and why Spook would spend another eight months worried about the woman with whom he had fallen in love until their pasts collide, changing Spook forever. The world building focuses on child human trafficking, abuse and revenge. Told from three first person perspectives (Hawk, Callie, Undertaker) covering several timelines, HAWK follows in the aftermath of the abduction of Callie’s sister Sadie. Years earlier Hawk rescued an abused and battered woman, and five years later, upon his release from prison for assaulting the man responsible, fate would cross paths when Hawk would come face to face with the battered woman’s sister Callie, the young woman who is desperately seeking her missing sister. Another abduction, a near fatal assault on Hawk’s brother Raven, and the ongoing attacks by the Dirty Death MC find Callie and Hawk struggling in their search for the people involved. The relationship between Callie and Hawk is one of immediate attraction. Hawk’s crow knows that Callie is their mate but Callie is unaware of the supernatural aspect of the Devil’s Murder MC. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and often questionable secondary and supporting characters. We are reintroduced to the Devil’s Murder MC: President Crow and his old lady Bella, Raven and Bree, Cuckoo, Talon, Carrion, Claw, their healer Falcon, and IT specialist Eagle Eye, as well as Mayor Elliott, and Dirty Death MC president Undertaker.

HAWK is a fast paced story of power and control, madness and mayhem, abuse and terror, acceptance and love. The premise is detailed, dramatic and intense; the romance is a fated insta-lust to love ; the characters are dynamic, determined and energetic. The conflict has yet to be resolved-Callie’s sister’s whereabouts are unknown.

We are reintroduced to several members of the Ravage Riders MC: Cara and Rj, Edge and Rae, Bryce, Hangman, Tank, Valan, Ghost, GQ and Judge.

SIN’S BETRAYAL is a story of attraction and acceptance, betrayal and obsession. The fast paced premise is entertaining but I wish there was a little more story; the romance is provocative; the characters are energetic and charismatic. SIN’S BETRAYAL does not end on a HEA but a HEA for now.

REVIEW: SINNERS & SAINTS is the second instalment (and novella) in Nikki Landis’ contemporary adult RAVAGE RIDERS erotic, MC, slightly paranormal, romance series focusing on the Ravage Riders MC (RRMC). This is social worker Cara, and Ravage Riders MC treasurer RJ’s story line. SINNERS & SAINTS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from several first person perspectives including RJ, Cara, Edge, Rae and Mack, SINNERS & SAINTS focuses on the building relationship between RJ and Cara. Cara is a social worker at Leah’s school. Leah is the younger sister to Rae (Sins of the Father) but Leah is struggling and the teacher has called in help from our story line heroine. Cara never expected to come face to face with her future in the guise of Ravage Riders MC treasurer RJ, a man whose life she would save a few days later. The Ravage Riders MC are facing a possible war with the Satan’s Outlaw MC, and Cara will be caught in the middle when the time comes to settle a score. What ensues is the quick building relationship between Cara and RJ, and the potential fall-out when Cara is used as a pawn in an effort to draw out the Ravage Riders MC.

The relationship between Cara and RJ is one of immediate attraction but Cara is currently involved with someone else, a man whose illegal activities are about to affect the RRMC. RJ has been in love with his best friend’s ol’lady for as long as he can remember but meeting Cara stirs something deep and permanent for our story line hero. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate and intense.

There is another large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters many of whom we have met in the previous instalment. Mack has regained control over the position of President, his son Edge is now the VP, and the struggling SAA Valan has fallen for a woman who is about to fall for someone else. We are introduced to Cara’s sister Charlotte, and Cara’s so one to be ex-fiance Maxwell Foreman.

SINNERS & SAINTS is a story of power and control, abuse and shame, betrayal and vengeance, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is engaging and action packed; the romance is quick and captivating; the characters are energetic and charismatic.

I want to address the slight paranormal aspect to the story line premise. The inclusion is very limited and feels unnecessary (so far), and is never truly explained. I am hoping the author soon ‘fleshes’ out the paranormal existence, if only for an explanation as to what is happening and why.
