REVIEW:The latest in the On My Own series by the whimsical Carrie Ann Ryan; My Bad Decisions is an explosive read that readers can’t put down.

Similar to the previous books in the series, Natalie watched her friends fall in love and face down their fears. Yearning for the same, she finds herself going toe to toe with none other than Tanner, a man that she can’t help but crave, but can’t stand craving.

Tanner and Natalie are oil and fire, they feed off each other and not always in the best ways. However, their attraction to each other is something they just can’t ignore. Their first encounter is fire and ice, but not nearly enough to purge their feelings, which leads to more and more. Then the twists and turns start and BAM! The story really starts taking a turn. Tanner’s past starts to worm it’s way into the present, setting up a new set of challenges for the new couple. Secrets come to light, and two lines change the course of their lives forever. My only comment on this book would be that it surprised me with how much Tanner and Natalie couldn’t seem to talk to each other. You can tell they care about each other, but like many couples, they can’t seem to pull the stick out and actually talk to one another.

Anyway..

Carrie Ann delivers a fun, suspenseful, read with relatable characters that readers want to get more of. The spicy scenes are great, the drama even better, the series has been an awesome addition to my kindle library. I can’t wait to see what the author delivers to us next. 4 Stars!!

REVIEW:Carrie. Ann .Ryan is the uber Queen supreme of friends turned to lovers. The Next Play is book three in the On My Own series, all books can be read as standalone, or as I recommend, in series order.

I’m going to keep this review short and sweet, much like the book, but nonetheless wonderful. Neesa and Miles, we know and love them. Well, this is their story. Friends to lovers, each watching as their friends found their happily ever after and wanting their own. When they finally take a chance on their relationship, they are happy to find that they both feel the same way. As always however, both Nessa and Miles must face their ghosts of the past to move on to their own happily ever after.

I have not a single negative thing to say about The Next Play. Miles and Nessa’s story was so sweet, and simply meant to be. It was a moving read from beginning to end, one that I wish wouldn’t have ended so soon.

REVIEW:  My Rebound, the name doesn’t do it justice.

The second book in the On My Own series by Carrie Ann Ryan, My Rebound is funny, spicy and so much fun to read. When meeting Mackenzie and Pacey in the first book; My One Night Stand, I couldn’t wait to get their story. Mackenzie just got out of a very long-term relationship with her ex, Sander and to be honest, I feel like she didn’t take it as hard as I thought she would. Nevertheless, Mackenzie is a fun character and I couldn’t wait to see how her story turned out.

Pacey is a friend of a friend, an ex-roommate of Sander’s and ready and willing to be Mackenzie’s rebound guy. At first, I wasn’t sure how his relationship was going to be with Mackenzie; but then, they were friends, they were nerding out over math together, laughing and having fun. Pacey gives off a major boy next store vibe and I am living for it! He’s just a nice guy, maybe a little rough around the edges, but a heart of gold beats inside.

Pacey and Mackenzie have the best chemistry and the most fun together, being alone for the first time in her life, Mackenzie is a little lost at first and then she does my favorite thing. She plans! Oh come on now! Who doesn’t love a planner girl? I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this book, it was funny and loving to read. C.A.R always knows how to write a book series. I’m very excited to see Tanner and Miles again! Fingers crossed.

REVIEW:When reading a C.A.R book I always know what I am going to get; that being a well-rounded story with great characters and a plot that I know I am going to enjoy. My One Night is exactly that. The first in her new On My Own series is a hit in more ways than one. For a hopeless romance reader like myself, this new adult/young adult book was really fun to read.

When I read the blurb for the book, I was thinking that it was going to be another killer story about a one-night stand that turned into an insta love. I was so wrong. Now don’t get me wrong, this definitely turns into love, but its more than an insta love story. Dillion and Elise truly hit it off, their chemistry is real and its oh so sweet. C.A.R stories always have underlining layers to them, depth and emotions that her readers can relate to.

My One Night is a reader of what college was, and what we all wanted it to be like. Growing, changing, parties with friends, drinking and doing stupid things just for the heck of it. Being young and not knowing what you want to do with the rest of your life. Dillion and Elise struggle like any young person would with the possibility of finding “the one” and that leads to fear and mistakes.

Then, when things finally seem all good, life comes in and kicks you in the face, Dillion’s past comes knocking and poor Elise is struck with tragedy that rocks her to her core. Can the new pair face their fears and move forward, or will the bumps of life knock them down?
