ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date October 9, 2025

Love can sneak up on you at the most inconvenient time.

I’ve sacrificed everything to build Rainbow Dorset University into the beacon of safety and excellence that it’s become. While my university thrives, all I have to show for my personal life are three grown kids who barely speak to me and an ex-wife who screams at me every chance she can get.

Almost ex-wife. She’s been stalling on signing our divorce papers for the past six months.

That’s fine. I have a new program to kick off with a small group of student ambassadors and staff heading to Iceland. Imagine my surprise when the person who fills me with a purpose to rival that of my dedication to RDU is among the students.

This time, everything is different. I won’t give up my heart if the Board of Trustees can’t find it in them to support my relationship. Not this time.

•••••

REVIEW:“Cadence” by Crea Reitan is a story of love and sacrifice, set against the backdrop of Rainbow Dorset University (RDU).

The story revolves around a university leader, who has dedicated his life to making Rainbow Dorset University a safe haven for students. His relentless commitment to this mission, however, has resulted in a strained personal life with his nearly ex-wife and distant children.

We’ve met Kendrick through different books in this Creaverse (Crea’s Universe) and although surprised he got a book, I fell in love with the characters. (But then with most of her books I’ve loved the characters 😝)

Kendrick’s conflict between his professional responsibilities and his feelings for a student ambassador were just spot on. Knowing what you should do and doing it was tying the poor man in knots!!

The tension this sets off adds to the story, as Kendrick grapples with his duty to the university, the expectations of the Board of Trustees, and the genuine connection he feels towards Brevan

Brevan has put his heart and soul into his chosen career. It’s his last year here at the University, and fingers crossed he gets a call telling him he’s off to play pro football in the NFL.

So, not only is he surprised to find out he’s been chosen as an ambassador for the Uni to go to Iceland. (He didn’t think he was smart enough to apply) He’s taken aback at the attention he’s receiving from Kendrick.

The author’s writing as always is engaging and vivid, capturing the picturesque setting of Iceland, where a pivotal program unfolds.

The tension of “forbidden love” is spot on, and i found myself rooting for this surprising romance.

Will Kendrick prioritize the potential of new love while attempting to disentangle himself from his past? Or will he make the same mistakes?

For those who appreciate stories that balance romance with challenges and growth, this book is a worthwhile addition to any reading list.

I love how this world continues to grow, More characters are added, and most will get a story at some point. Trying to work out who gets one next is part of the fun.

ABOUT The BOOK: Release Date July 30, 2025

Unrequited love can make you blind.

I’ve crushed on the wrong person for years, all because he showed me kindness in a time when I greatly needed it. But my coach isn’t interested in me and that’s a hard pill to swallow.

The man who is interested turns out to be someone I talk to almost every day. He bids on a date with me at a charity auction and I take him on an adventurous kayaking picnic date on a large remote lake in a valley surrounded by mountains.

As it turns out, I doom our date from the beginning by not taking note of the weather report. A lightning storm strands us on a small island in the middle of the lake with a tiny cabin and only one bed. This could be awkward and disastrous if we manage to survive the storm.

•••••

REVIEW: Crea Reitan’s “Doink” is a tale of unrequited love, friendship, and unexpected adventures, set against the backdrop of Rainbow Dorset University.

The story opens with our main character grappling with his long standing crush on his coach, a situation wrapped in layers of emotional confusion.

This character, whom he converses with daily, becomes the catalyst for a much anticipated adventure. The kayaking picnic date promises both excitement and romance, and the author’s vivid descriptions of the serene lake nestled in the mountains is the perfect spot for what should be the start of something special…

However, the plot takes a turn when Dana neglects to check the weather, leading to an unexpected lightning storm. This twist introduces an element of suspense and anticipation. The cabin on the small island serves as a clever setting for exploring the dynamics between the two characters. With only one bed, the stage is set for both potential awkwardness, but also the beginning of potentially special.

The author writes about the push and pull of the characters’ interactions, injecting humor and an underlying tension that kept me engaged. The confined amplifies the romantic stake.

As the storm rages outside, the real storms of their emotions come to the forefront, allowing for moments of candidness, vulnerability, and ultimately, clarity.

The pacing of the story flows well, keeping me invested in both the characters and the situation. The dialogue feels fresh and authentic. And this is what I love about the author’s stories.

Each character is well throughout and we can feel all the emotions that surround this moment in time.

The blossoming relationship, rooted in genuine companionship, it also shows him that maybe his previous unreciprocated love was maybe just a crush! 🤔

In conclusion, “Doink” is a delightful romantic comedy that captures the essence of college life and the complexities of love.

With a mix of humor, adventure, and heartfelt moments, Crea Reitan has written an engaging read.

Perfect for fans of lighthearted romance and coming-of-age stories.

“Doink” is sure to leave readers with a smile and a sense of nostalgia for the chaotic yet beautiful journey of love.

This differs from her usual work, and at first I wasn’t sure. But as usual, by the time I’d finished, I was totally in love with both Dana and Peyton.

Yes, it’s only a novella, but it packed so much in, that I’d gotten to the end far too quick 😝

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date April 17, 2025

A summer romance for one, please!

One summer. An island resort escape. Solitude to banish the demons in my past.

What begins as a chance meeting on a beach during sunset turns into the most romantic, life-changing five weeks I could ever dream up with two of the most amazing men I’ve ever met. The end of summer comes all too soon and we’re forced to part ways, though we promise to keep in touch.

Fate isn’t letting this be the end, though. The start of the new school year finds me on Alka’s soccer team. We’re not sure whether to celebrate being together again or hide our forbidden relationship.

As it turns out, the decision might not be up to us – Alka receives an anonymous email with an ultimatum – kick me off the team or they’re going to expose our relationship to the Dean.

••••••

REVIEW:When I picked up *Volley*, I thought I was in for just another summer romance. But what I discovered was so much more, it’s a heartfelt journey of love, self-discovery, and the tightrope walk between passion and peril.

Set against the backdrop of a stunning island resort, the story pulls you in from the very first page. The serene beach at sunset where Roux’s life takes an unexpected turn is vividly brought to life through the author’s story telling.

It’s there where he encountered two remarkable men who would change his perspective on love forever. Their charm and chemistry added depth to an already intoxicating summer of escapes and stolen moments.

As the weeks blurred by, what began as a light-hearted escape morphed into a life-altering experience, filled with laughter, intimacy, and a connection that he didn’t think was possible.

The author does a phenomenal job of portraying the complexity of emotions that can arise during a summer fling, ultimately leaving them with a sense of longing when the season came to an end.

Reuniting with Alka and Oscar should have been a dream come true.

However, the magic of those summer days turned into a turbulent challenge as they navigated the consequences of their rekindled connection. The duality of joy and fear that accompanied their forbidden relationship had me turning the pages on my kindle, especially when an anonymous email threatened to expose the truth.

Talk about intense!

What I loved most was how *Volley* displayed the resilience of love against external pressures. Alka’s struggle to balance his relationship with his responsibilities left me at the edge of my seat. The tension fortified the bond they all shared, but it also highlighted the struggle that they faced in maintaining secrecy.

I found myself rooting for their relationship, wishing for the world to accept the beautiful and complicated love they had created.

The author skillfully explores themes of identity, acceptance, and the weight of personal history. My heart ached for Alka, Oscar and their Ruby as they grappled with the threat of exposure and the burden of Roux’s past demons. With each page, I felt the author’s unique ability to encapsulate emotion, and her insight kept me deeply engaged throughout the story.

In conclusion, Crea Reitan’s *Volley* is not just a summer romance, but a gripping exploration of love in all its forms. Its heartwarming moments are balanced beautifully with tension and uncertainty, making it a compelling read that I won’t soon forget.

I love how this world just keeps growing… it encompasses “Van Doren’s” and “For Puck Sake” series. Things pop up that have you wanting to reread certain books. This world just makes me smile, and I hope it continues for a long time.

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a story that captures the essence of love and the tangled paths we often tread.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 12, 2024

Hockey and football coaches on a collision course….

Lemon

With years of hard work, I’ve made the Rainbow Dorset University Unicorns football team the pride of the state. My reputation speaks for itself, so the school stays out of my way, and that’s how I like it. If they can’t handle my sparkle, they have no business in my shine.

Now there’s someone new on campus—a washed up hockey player hired to whip the team into shape. The school had the audacity to cut my budget to pay him!

Needless to say, I’m furious. He just made an enemy he definitely doesn’t want. But why does he have to be so gorgeous?! Why does he have to have a beautiful wife and a perfect life? And why can’t I keep my hands off him and just yell at him like I intend?

Hansley

I was directionless when I retired from hockey. So I jumped on the offer from Rainbow Dorset University to be their head hockey coach. The campus is like nothing I’ve ever seen; full of rainbows, community, kindness, inclusivity. It feels like I’m in a brand new world—a better world—and I’m excited to be a part of it.

Everything is amazing until I meet Coach Lemon Frost, who clearly despises me, though I don’t know why. He’s definitely out for my job. But then he keeps kissing me and sending my entire world spinning on its axis.

I can’t tell if he hates me or wants me. The line is blurred. All I know is Lemon is about to make my entire world implode when I tell my wife I’ve been having an affair. Yet… I think I’m here for it.

REVIEW:Yessssss another new series for me to obsess over.

If you’ve read the “For your Love” series, then you’ll recognise one of the main male characters. If you haven’t, then it’s not really an issue, but the four book series gives a little insight to the spiky football coach.

Lemon by name, lemon by nature🍋 he’s sour, rude, obnoxious, arrogant and a total diva!! He’s taken his football team to the finals many times, his players go on to be picked to play for major teams! Does that give him a big head? Yes it does!

Hansley is the total opposite to Lemon. He played ice hockey, he won many games, numerous trophies, management wasn’t really an option, but courted by the university, he’s decided to give coach a go.

Another gay for you story, for this author knows how to write these stories.

Meeting Lemon has Hansley confused. A hetro-male, he’s never looked at men. But something about this feisty man has Hansley questioning his sexuality.

Their relationship has so many ups and downs that it gives you motion sickness 😜 they take one step forward and two steps back. Given the fact that Hansley is still married (hmm) is a bone of contention between the couple. And Lemon is a hard man to please, he’s opinionated, his thought process is the only one he listens too.

But he’s also just a man looking for love. He’s lonely, his prickly exterior keeps people at bay. His first opinion of Hansley is totally out of order. His spending has been cut considerably, and Hansley is at fault.

I loved this couple. I liked how Hansley took on Lemon and “tamed” him 😝 he wanted to make the sparkly coach all his. 💕

So can they really make a go of this relationship? How will Hansley explain to his wife he has a new love? And will Lemon finally mellow?

If this book doesn’t make you go back and read the “for your love” series, then your missing out on meeting Lemon Frost in all his rainbow glory 🌈 😜
