ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 21, 2020

He’s her darkest fantasy. . .

After years of struggling, Haven Daly has finally accepted that she’s nuttier than a fruitcake. Why else would she see visions of a beautiful but tormented male every night . . . and actually believe she can talk to him, even feel his touch? But thanks to those dream journeys, she can paint images nobody else on earth can duplicate. In each brush stroke, she captures the blatant masculinity and raw desire in his eyes that promise he’s coming for her…and soon.

She’s the light that keeps him going. . .

Quade Kayrs has already suffered a lifetime of pain and torture. Completely isolated, he kept his sanity thanks to one beautiful female, a vision with kind emerald eyes. In the end, her soft voice led him out of hell. Now, naked and alone, he’s in a strange world that bears little resemblance to the one he left behind. All he knows is Haven. All he wants is Haven. His final mission? To protect her from the evil hunting them both—whether she likes it or not .

•••••••••

REVIEW: HERO’S HAVEN is the eleventh instalment in Rebecca Zanetti’s adult DARK PROTECTORS paranormal/ fantasy romance series. This is vampire-demon hybrid, and one of the Seven Quade Kayrs, and artist Haven Daly’s story line. HERO’S HAVEN can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion , especially this particular arc of the series focusing on the group known as the Seven.

SOME BACKGROUND: A thousand years earlier, a number of immortal warriors went through a ritual that, if they survived, hardened their bodies against attack, a ritual meant to create a group of Seven known as The Shield. The Shield was created to protect the world from an evil race of vampires known as the Kurjans, their sect group known as the Cysts, and ultimately a rogue warrior once considered a friend- Ulric-a male of immense power. To protect the human race, Ulric was captured, and along with two of the Seven, was encapsulated in one of three spheres for all eternity. As the warriors search for the ‘Keys’ to perform the ritual, the ‘Lock’ must be protected in order to take down the evil that is hoping to take over the world.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Quade and Haven) HERO’S HAVEN focuses on Haven Daly, and her ability to journey to other worlds in her sleep but one world in particular finds Haven rescuing a man she has come to know through her fantasies and paintings. With Quade’s rescue and return to the Earth realm, the Seven have to wonder if Ulric’s return is inevitable or if there is a way to keep Ulric trapped in the world to which he was sent. As Quade navigates the unfamiliarity of the modern world, Haven’s obsession and compulsion to paint reveals the people, places and worlds of everyone involved. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Haven and Quade, and the potential fall-out as more than one person/being has targeted Haven for who she is, and what she can do.

Haven Daly has no idea about her heritage, a heritage that makes her the focus of the supernatural and humans alike. Believing she suffered with mental disabilities Haven has always struggled with a direction in life. Having been abandoned as a baby, and raised by religious zealots, Haven’s earlier years have been fraught with torture and abuse. Discovering the who and what of her DNA, Haven’s independence and need to run will be curtailed by a man who knows Haven is his intended mate. Quade Kayrs hasn’t seen his brothers in hundreds of years, and with his return to Earth, Quade discovers that all is not well in the war with the Kurjans and Cysts. Now that most, if not all, of the bubbles meant to house the Seven have ruptured or failed, the possibility of Ulric’s return finds Quade battling to protect the woman with whom he has fallen in love, or entering the dreamworlds to destroy Ulric’s life.

The relationship between Quade and Haven begins long before our couple have met. Haven’s need and compulsion to paint and dream pulls Quade into Haven’s life, and eventually back to the world and family where it all began. Haven is a strong, independent woman who has had to live on her own for a very long time, and Quade’s need to ‘protect’ and ‘control’ pushes all of Haven’s buttons. But Quade’s refusal to claim Haven as his mate finds another potential suitor desperate to claim Haven as his own. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful secondary and supporting characters including Realm King Dage Kayrs and his mate Emma; Logan and Mercy, Ronan and Faith, Benjamin Reese, Adare O’Cearbhaill and Grace, Hope Kayrs-Kylwood and her besties Libby and Paxton; Ivar Kjeidsen and Promise Williams; Dayne, leader of the Kurjan nation, and his brother Terre; as well as Haven’s mother Allison, and cougar shifter Pierce.

HERO’S HAVEN is a story of family and betrayal; vengeance and war; discovery and revelations. The premise is fast paced, engaging and intriguing; the characters are colorful and energetic; the romance is fated and seductive. The back and forth banter between Haven and Quade is humorous and fun, as Quade struggles to navigate the new world, and his addiction to mint flavored toothpaste.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 24, 2019

Too quiet. A talented hacker who got caught, Brigid Banaghan is now forced to work with a secret Deep Ops unit. But she won’t reveal any more to these renegade Feds than she has to. Especially not to Raider Tanaka, her control freak of a bodyguard and handler. It’s enough that his body is tensed for action and his heated gaze is always on her . . .

Too sharp. Raider knows there’s more to his new assignment than he’s been told. Why send a deadly agent of his experience to guard a computer genius—even a gorgeous, unpredictable, undisciplined one? But when Brigid’s estranged father is named in an investigation into Boston’s organized crime, Raider’s mind switches onto high alert, just like his senses . . .

Too close. To clear her father’s name, Brigid needs Raider’s help. The Unit’s idea that she bring a straight-laced Fed in as her “fiancé” won’t fly, though—not unless Raider can release his inner bad boy and become the rebel Brigid can’t resist

REVIEW: FALLEN is the second instalment in Rebecca Zanetti’s contemporary, adult DEEP OPS romantic suspense series focusing on the men and women who work for the HDD (Homeland Defense Department) and Angus Force’s Requisition Force Team. This is Special agent Raider Tanaka, and computer hacker Brigid Banaghan’s story line. FALLEN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and history with the secondary characters.

Told from several third person perspectives including Raider and Brigid FALLEN follows Brigid and Raider as they go undercover in an effort to infiltrate Boston’s organized crime. With her father a potential suspect and one time member of the targeted group, Brigid struggles with what has to be done, and the secrets she keeps to protect her life. What ensues is the fake relationship that turns into something more between Raider and Brigid, and the potential fall-out as the undercover operatives find themselves targeted in return.

Brigid Banaghan works for the Deep Ops unit of the HDD but Brigid keeps secret the truth behind her recent release from prison for hacking government computers. Working for Angus Force gives Brigid Banaghan purpose, a purpose that covers the lies she is desperate to keep concealed. Raider Tanaka is currently working as Brigid Banaghan’s handler but working together on an undercover operation finds Raider getting into character including a romantic relationship with our storyline heroine. As Brigid and Raider fall deeper into their assignment, secrets are revealed, and more than one player is desperate to keep hidden the past.

The relationship between Raider and Brigid begins as a professional assignment that soon turns into something more. Raider and Brigid find themselves on the receiving end of one too many attacks, attacks that often result in Raider fighting for his life. Hoping to keep up appearances, Brigid and Raider take their relationship to the next level, but in doing so place Brigid in the direct line of fire. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including former police detective and undercover operative Malcolm West, and Pippa Smith, (Hidden #1), Requisition Force team leader Angus Force, and members: former Lieutenant Commander Clarence Wolfe who carries a kitten in his pocket, and Angus Force’s quirky whiskey guzzling, lipstick eating German shepherd Roscoe: FBI psychiatrist Dr. Nari Zhang; Special Agents Tom Rutherford, and Kurt Fields, journalist and crime reporter Dana Mullberry, as well as Brigid’s father Sean Banaghan. The requisite evil has many faces. Dana and Wolfe’s story is next in BROKEN.

The world building continues to focus on the undercover ops, and Angus Force’s desperate search to prove a rogue agent not only didn’t die, but the FBI has known all along.

FALLEN is an intriguing with a spicy and character driven premise; energetic undercover agents, charming alpha hero, and arrogant bad guys. Rebecca Zanetti pulls the reader into an edgy and intense, dramatic addition to her DEEP OPS romantic, suspense series.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date June 25, 2019

One vow keeps the deadly immortal standing: To rescue the vampire brother who had sacrificed freedom for him. To do that, Ivar needs the help of a brilliant physicist with wary brown eyes, fierce brilliance, and skin that’s way too soft.

Dr. Promise Williams understands the underpinnings of the universe but has never figured out the human beings inhabiting it. Her function is to think—and not feel—until she’s touched by a vampire who’s nowhere near human. The primal hunger in his eyes awakens feelings in her that defy calculation. As she shows him the way to step between worlds, he brands her with a pleasure that could last more than a lifetime .

•••••••••••

REVIEW: ALPHA’S PROMISE is the tenth instalment in Rebecca Zanetti’s DARK PROTECTORS paranormal/fantasy romance series. This is hybrid demon/vampire Ivar Kjeidsen, and theoretical physicist Dr. Promise Williams’ story line. ALPHA’S PROMISE can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion, especially this particular arc of the series focusing on the group known as the Seven.

As the warriors search for the ‘Keys’ to perform the ritual, the Lock must be protected in order to take down the evil that is hoping to take over the world.

Told from several third person perspectives including Promise and Ivar, following several intersecting paths, ALPHA’S PROMISE follows the building relationship between hybrid demon/vampire Ivar Kjeidsen, and theoretical physicist Dr. Promise Williams. Someone, or more specifically, the Kurjans have been targeting enhanced female physicists, and Dr. Promise Williams is next on their list. In an effort to protect the enhanced human female, Ivan Kjeidsen volunteers to act as guardian but goes about his job all wrong. Hoping to discover the truth behind their ability to teleport, the Seven bring Promise Williams into their fold, in an effort to use her knowledge and her mind. As the Kurjans continue to target enhanced female physicists, Promise begins to unravel the secret behind temporal dimensions, worlds and the ability to teleport. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Ivar and Promise, and the potential fall-out as Promise and Logan’s mate Mercy find themselves, once again, taken hostage by the Kurjan vampires

Promise Williams doesn’t do relationships; math is her lover but meeting Ivar Kjeidsen stirs something deep within our story line heroine. Promise’s enhanced abilities allows her to detect what others cannot, an ability that makes her a target in the war between the demons and vampires. Ivar Kjeidsen’s goal is to return to the h*ll world in order to rescue his brother and friend but Quade doesn’t want rescuing, in fact, he wants the Seven to leave him alone. But Quade has a secret, that the Seven has discovered, and in this Quade is desperate for the Seven to cease and desist.

Meanwhile, Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood continues to dream walk with the young Kurjan male Drake, dream walking that pushes Hope to make plans for a meet and greet in real life. But things don’t go according to plan when Hope’s whereabouts and plans are discovered, with the potential of leading the Demons to war.

The relationship between Ivar and Promise is one of immediate attraction but neither one is looking for a permanent mate. Promise’s enhanced abilities are like a beacon to those whose powers she is able to detect, and in this Ivar is desperate to claim the woman as his mate. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Logan and Mercy, Ronan and Faith, Quade Kayrs, Benjamin Reese, Garrett Kayrs, Adare O’Cearbhaill and Grace, Hope Kayrs-Kylwood and her bestie Paxton; Dayne, leader of the Kurjan nation, and his son Drake; Promise’s university co-worker Dr. Mark Brookes; and fae/demon hybrid Haven Daly. Quade and Haven’s story is next in Hero’s Haven.

The world building continues to focus on the fight against the Kurjans and the Cysts; the protection of the Realm from the prophet Ulric; and Hope’s ongoing journeys into the Dreamworld. As the Seven try to rescue one of their own, Ivar is willing to sacrifice himself in an effort to bring his brother home. With the introduction of Promise Williams, the addition of mathematics and theoretical physics ups the game to a what if and how.

ALPHA’S PROMISE is a story of heart break, secrets, betrayal, vengeance. The premise is detailed, complex and entertaining; the romance is fated and seductive; the characters are sassy, colorful, energetic, and bold. ALPHA’S PROMISE is a wonderfully intricate and elaborate addition to Zanetti’s world of the Dark Protectors.

But first they’ll have to stop arguing long enough to trust the Deep Ops team. Hunter was a lost boy himself once. In fact, he ran away from the exact same man, their monster of a father. Now he and Faye will have to unite to find the brother he never knew—and maybe each other .

••••••••••

REVIEW:  TAKEN is instalment 1.5 in Rebecca Zanetti’s contemporary, adult DEEP OPS romantic suspense series focusing on a new Homeland Defense Department (HDD) unit known as the Requisition Force headed by FBI profiler and Special Agent Angus Force. This is ex-solider Hunter Holt, and former psychologist Faye Smith’s story line. TAKEN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalment is revealed where necessary but I recommend reading the series in order for history and backstory of the secondary characters. For fans and followers of Rebecca Zanetti, there is a slight cross-over with another of the author’s series-see if you can spot the ‘Easter Egg’ 😉 .

Told from several third person points of view including Hunter and Faye TAKEN follows the search for a kidnapper, turned robber turned serial killer, whose willing captive is a sixteen-year old boy unaware of the truth. When Faye gets a call from her former foster mother Miss Angelina that her latest charge is missing, Faye seeks out the only man capable of finding the missing boy but a man whose history with Faye is heartbreaking and dark. Enter ex-soldier turned river-tour guide Hunter Holt, and the man Faye hasn’t stopped loving. What ensues is the rekindling romance between Faye and Hunter, as they join the Requisition Force in the search for a killer whose numbers are increasing on a daily basis.

Faye and Hunter’s history is filled with abuse and addiction. From dysfunctional family dynamics to drugs and abuse, Faye and Hunter would find peace and solace, along with Raider Tanaka, in the arms of their foster mother Miss Angelina. But life, and everything it had to offer tore Faye and Hunter apart, and in the ensuing time neither forgot about their history and their past.

The relationship between Faye and Hunter is one of second chances; a rekindling romance between two people whose earlier lives were filled with neglect and abuse at the hands of people sworn to love and protect. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful secondary and supporting characters including Miss Angelina, Jackson Holt and Louise Stockley. We are re-introduced to the Requisition Force leader Angus Force, and team members: former Lieutenant Commander Clarence Wolfe who carries a kitten (aka Kat) in his pocket, and Angus Force’s quirky whiskey guzzling, lipstick eating, high heel wearing German shepherd Roscoe; and Raider Tanaka-Hunter and Faye’s childhood friend, now a member of the Requisition Force Team.

TAKEN is a story of murder, madness and revenge; of suspense and mystery; of second chances and love. The premise is intriguing and exciting; the romance is fated; the characters are energetic, sexy and spirited. TAKEN is a spirited, character driven story that is sure to catch your attention.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date March 19, 2019

Vengeance and revenge are the only forces driving vampire soldier Noah Siosal since losing his brother to an enemy he’s been unable to find. He’s searched every corner of the globe, going through adversaries and piling up bodies until finally getting a lead. The last place he wants to be is in a ridiculous anger management group with people expressing feelings instead of taking action. Until one fragile human, a green-eyed sweetheart being stalked by danger, catches his eye. One touch, and he realizes vengeance can’t be anywhere near her.

Anger and self-preservation are the only motivations Abby Miller needs or wants right now. Falsely accused of attacking the man who’s terrorized her for years, she’s forced as a plea bargain to attend an anger management counseling group with people with some serious rage issues, while learning true self defense on the side. Yet a man, one more primal than any she’s ever met, draws her in a way and into a world deadlier than she’s ever imagined. He offers her protection, but she finds the fight is really for his heart, and she’s ready to battle.

His hand slid around her face and tangled in her hair, tilting her head back farther.
She sighed and kissed him, warming right up. Her eyelids opened to see his intense gaze on her. She jerked, her body stilling.
Holding her gaze, he lifted lightly, his lips barely a whisper from hers. “You okay?”
She nodded, even though his hand in her hair contained her movement. “Yes. You?”
“Yes. You want more?” He held himself still, like one of those racehorses in a stall right before the gate opened.
Her nipples peaked. Fast and hard. More? There was more? She should think. Take a step back. “Yes,” she said. “More.”
He moved faster than humanly possible, ducking his head and claiming her lips. This time, there was no gentleness or coaxing. It was all fire and electricity and demand. Hard and fast, he took her mouth, kissing her in a way that took her completely out of the moment.
The rain and cold disappeared along with her fear and sadness. Only passion and fire remained. She let him guide her, opening her mouth, wanting everything he was giving. Never had she felt this. Her body went from a slow heat to a full-on inferno, her thighs trembling for more of him. For all of him.
Headlights barely caught her attention. Then a door slamming. “What the hell?” bellowed a familiar male voice.
She jumped, fear instantly swamping her. “No.”
Noah released her and turned as Monte stomped toward them, fury morphing into red blotches on a face she’d once thought handsome. “What are you doing?” he yelled, arms swinging, getting too close.
Noah partially turned and punched him right in the mouth. Monte went down, splashing through a mudpuddle, his arms windmilling.
Abby gasped, her body chilling instantly. Horror caught her. Oh God. “What have you done?”

Unfortunately for Mercy, attempted murder and kidnapping are just foreplay for the Kyllwood brothers. Logan may be the youngest of the bunch, but death and violence are already a way of life. Now he’s ready to complete a painful, terrifying ritual to become one of the Seven, dedicated to protecting this world from the most dangerous evil it’s ever known. But first he has to deal with a blackmailing Fey, a ransom demand and his own pounding need for the last female he ever should have fallen for . . .

REVIEW: DEMON’S MERCY is the ninth instalment in Rebecca Zanetti’s contemporary, adult DARK PROTECTOR paranormal, fantasy romance series. This is vampire/demon hybrid Logan Kyllwood, and fae Mercy O’Malley’s story line. DEMON’S MERCY can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion, I recommend reading the series in order as there is an ongoing premise throughout.

As the warriors search for the ‘Keys’ to perform the ritual, the Lock must be protected in order to take down the evil that is hoping to take over the world.

Told from several third person perspectives including Mercy and Logan DEMON’S MERCY focuses on Logan’s search for one of the Keys, a supernatural or enhanced female who, together with two other Keys, will open the lock to save the Realm but all does not go according to plan when Logan finds himself the prisoner of a female Fae, Mercy O’Malley, the woman who would one day be his fated mate. What ensues is the back and forth, escape and recapture between Mercy and Logan, and the potential fall-out as the Fae have sided with the Kurjans and the Cysts, against the Realm.

Mercy O’Malley has known all of her life that she is destined to help save her Fae world. As one of only a few remaining Fae of mating age, our heroine finds herself promised to someone else as she slowly falls in love with our leading man. Logan Kyllwood knows Mercy is his fated mate, the mating wrong is never wrong, but Logan struggles to convince Mercy that trust is earned, even though neither one is willing to accept the other at face value.

Meanwhile Sam Kyllwood is taken hostage and thrown into a hell dimension where the portals open for a revealing surprise.

The relationship between Mercy and Logan is acrimonious at best. Mercy and her fellow Fae females have been assigned to take down and destroy our leading hero in the belief the Seven are a threat to the world. The palpable sexual attraction between Mercy and Logan is immediate; the $ex scenes are passionate and seductive.

There is a large ensemble cast of familiar and colorful secondary and supporting characters including Logan’s brother Sam Kyllwood, Garrett Kayrs, and seven year old Hope Kayrs-Kyllwood, and her bestie Paxton; Zane and Janie Belle, Ronan and Faith Karys, Quade Kayrs, Benjamin Reese, demon-vampire and Viking Ivar Kjeidsen, and Scotsman Adare O’Cearbhaill. We are introduced to Mercy’s fellow Fae warriors Sandy and Trina, self- proclaimed King Niall, and president Alyssa Dawn.

The world building continues to focus of the search for the Keys: the fight against the Kurjans and the Cysts; the protection of the Realm; and Hope’s foray into the dreamworld. The seven members of the Shield prepare for war one battle at a time, knowing one or two of their own may be lost forever, encapsulated in an effort to keep Ulric behind proverbial bars.

DEMON’S MERCY is a story of family, friendship, survival and blood. The fast paced premise is engaging and intriguing; the characters are strong, sassy and inspiring; the romance is spirited and moving. DEMON’S MERCY is a sexy, spicy and startling story line sure to please the supernatural lover in all of us.

REVIEW: HIDDEN is the first instalment in Rebecca Zanetti’s contemporary, adult DEEP OPS romantic suspense series focusing on a new Homeland Defense Department (HDD) unit known as the Requisition Force headed by FBI profiler and Special Agent Angus Force. This is former police detective and undercover operative Malcolm West, and twenty-five year old Pippa Smith’s story line.

Told from several third person perspectives including Malcolm and Pippa HIDDEN focuses on the hunt for man claiming to be the Prophet, Isaac Leon, a former actor turned charismatic cult leader whose is desperate to find the woman who would one day be his wife.

Police Detective Malcolm West is on permanent leave since his last assignment went all to hell but it isn’t long before Malcolm’s special abilities as an undercover operative place him on the HDD’s radar for a new Deep Ops Team. Finally able to settle down without fear of being stabbed in the back Malcolm must take a chance when his new neighbour turns out to be his latest mark. Enter former cult member Pippa Smith, and the woman with whom Malcolm will fall in love. What ensues is the building relationship between Malcolm and Pippa, and the potential fall-out when Pippa discovers the truth about Malcolm’s assignment, and her intentions to diffuse a dangerous situation by sacrificing herself against all better judgement.

On the run, along with her best friend Trixie, Pippa Smith, a former member of Isaac’s cult has been hiding in a small cabin in the woods. Having suffered PTSD and anxiety disorders as a result of years under the control of the self-proclaimed Prophet Isaac Leon, Pippa struggles to trust the man who has stolen her heart. Malcolm knows that falling for Pippa is all kinds of wrong but the potential for everything to backfire continues to grow.

The relationship between Pippa and Malcolm is one of immediate attraction between two people who suffer PTSD brought on by events from their pasts. Falling for Malcolm places our heroine in the direct line of fire but Malcolm isn’t willing to let Pippa go in alone. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and sex.

There is a large colorful and eclectic secondary and supporting cast including Pippa’s best friend Trixie. We are introduced to the Requisition Force team leader Angus Force, and members: former Lieutenant Commander Clarence Wolfe who carries a kitten in his pocket, and Angus Force’s quirky whiskey guzzling, lipstick eating German shepherd Roscoe; IT specialist Bridgid Banaghan : FBI psychiatrist Dr. Nari Zhang; Special Agents Tom Rutherford, Raider Tanaka, and Kurt Fields. The requisite evil has many faces including the Prophet Isaac Leon.

HIDDEN is a story of suspense, betrayal, secrets and lies, romance and falling in love. There is a building story line involving Angus Force, and a former serial killer who is no longer in custody but taunting the Requisition Force leader from afar. The premise is intriguing and engaging; the characters are dynamic and strong; the romance is spicy and seductive. HIDDEN is an entertaining inviting and gripping story; a cleverly written introduction to Rebecca Zanetti’s DEEP OPS series. If you are a fan of Cynthia Eden or Elisabeth Naughton’s style of romantic suspense you can’t go wrong.
