While on assignment , Hunter found a battered and bruised woman who had no memories of the who, how or why, including her name or any important information about her current situation. Desperate to protect his new charge, Hunter heads to Resting Warrior Ranch where his fellow soldiers will begin a search for the truth but someone else is targeting our story line heroine, and Hunter is determined to protect the woman with whom he will fall in love.

The world building follows several pathways including Jada’s desperation to find her memories. The past has returned but Jada’s memories have been wiped, and Hunter is searching for the people responsible . Meanwhile, the guilt Jada feels is threatening her relationship with the people at Resting Warrior Ranch, and Hunter struggles with issues of his own.

The relationship between Hunter and Jada begins as a rescue but Hunter battles between head and heart believing he isn’t worthy of his own happily ever after. The offer of a new position has Hunter reconsidering his future but both Hunter and Jada are ready to run. The $ex scenes are passionate and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting characters from the previous story line and original series. We are introduced to Jada’s brother Caleb Moyer, as well as as Detectives Johnson and Kelly. The requisite evil has many faces.

MONTANA MEMORY is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, power and control, struggle and acceptance, family and love. The character driven premise is dramatic and edgy; the romance is impassioned; the characters are charismatic and dynamic.

Trying to stay one step ahead of the Mob means going into hiding with a woman who is struggling to understand what is happening and why, including her feelings for a man she is unable to trust.

The relationship between Rayne and Cole is one of second chances, of a sorts. Cole is struggling with events from the past, blaming himself for what happened and why. Rayne is battling between head and heart, believing Cole is the cause of so much strife in their lives. As Cole and Rayne go into hiding, their mutual yet different pasts reveal a kindred spirit and heart breaking pain. There is another large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including several of the previous story line couples. We are introduced to several members of the FBI, as well as members of the Chicago Mob.

MONTANA MYSTERY is a story of power and control, vengeance and betrayal, family and friendships, relationship and love. The character driven premise is intriguing and captivating; the romance is seductive and provocative; the characters are energetic, determined and strong but Kate is often a little TSTL (too stupid to live), placing herself in the direct line of fire.

REVIEW:MONTANA DESIRE is the third instalment in the contemporary,adult RESTING WARRIOR RANCH erotic, romantic suspense series co-authored by Josie Jade and Janie Crouch-a spin off from Janie Crouch’s Zodiac Tactical series. This is former US Navy SEAL Grant Carter, and veterinarian Dr. Cori Jackson’s story line. MONTANA DESIRE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Cori and Grant) MONTANA DESIRE follows the building romance and relationship between former US Navy SEAL Grant Carter, and veterinarian Dr. Cori Jackson. Grant Carter is one of seven former Navy SEALS who own and operate Resting Warrior Ranch, a ranch to aid in the recovery of injuries and PTSD for former military members, and at present Grant is still in recovery, following the explosion of an IED that left our hero with shrapnel close to his spine. For months Grant has lusted after his neighbor Dr. Cori Jackson, a woman who was in a relationship with another man but all was not well, and Grant had to place himself between Cori and her now ex, an ex that was determined to destroy Cori, no matter the cost. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Grant and Cori, and the potential fall-out as Cori is pulled into a dangerous operation, that could threaten all of Grant’s hard fought recovery.

Dr. Cori Jackson never expected to find herself facing off against an angry ex but Grant’s need to protect Cori gave our heroine pause for the future. Grant had proclaimed his attraction and need for Cori from the story line outset but Cori’s past was refusing to let go. Cori Jackson struggled with the possibility of a client destroying animals for monetary gain, and in this, Cori was about to place herself in the direct line of fire pulling the man that she loved into the middle.

The relationship between Cori and Grant is one of immediate attraction but Cori has just sent her boyfriend packing, and wasn’t looking for anything in the immediate future. Grant knew that Cori was the woman that called to his heart but Grant’s injuries were still a consideration, and the future didn’t hold any promises for our story line hero. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters include Liam, Jude, Noah, Daniel, Lucas and Evelyn (Montana Sanctuary), Harlan and Grace (Montana Danger), Lena, Dr. Rayne; Cori’s ex Joel, and his father Graham Pearson.

MONTANA DESIRE is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power, greed and control, friendships and relationships, acceptance and love. The premise is intriguing and captivating; the romance is sensual and seductive; the characters are energetic and charismatic.
