What happens when a rock star with no plans of settling down finds out he has a teenage daughter, his manager is embezzling from him, and the woman he’s hired to design his tour wardrobe is breathing fire? Come along for the snarky, emotional, and insanely sexy ride as Jillian and Johnny get caught up in a storm that just might be bigger than both of them.

Jillian Braden’s quick, creative thinking and fierce determination have helped her singlehandedly build a fashion empire. She doesn’t mince words and demands respect, but beneath all that armor, she carries the Braden curse of a soft heart. But that soft heart isn’t looking to start a family and doesn’t know the first thing about mollycoddling. When famed rock star Johnny Bad hires her to design his tour wardrobe and then postpones it at the last minute for the third time, she’s had enough. Jillian is determined to set him straight, but she isn’t at all prepared for what she finds or for the type of help Johnny Bad really needs.

REVIEW:ROCKED BY LOVE: JILLIAN BRADEN is the tenth instalment in Melissa Foster’s contemporary, adult THE BRADENS AND MONTGOMERYS, PLEASANT HILL / OAK FALLS erotic, romance series, a cross over with the author’s Bradens/Bad Boys After Dark series. This is thirty year old fashion designer Jillian Braden, and rock star Johnny Bad’s story line. ROCKED BY LOVE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Jillian and Johnny) ROCKED BY LOVE follows the building romance and relationship between thirty year old fashion designer Jillian Braden and rock star Johnny Bad. Months earlier Jillian Braden was hired by the rock band Bad Intensions to design the costumes for their upcoming tour but the order had been canceled without warning two to three times, and Jillian had had enough. Desperate to uncover the truth, Jillian faces off against lead singer Johnny Bad, only to discover all was not well in Johnny’s life. Johnny’s past has caught up, disrupting his life, a life that is no longer his alone. With the help of Jillian, Johnny must rearrange his life going forward, a life he is hoping will include our story line heroine. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Jillian and Johnny, and the potential fall-out as Jillian’s time with Johnny comes to an end.

Jillian Braden never expected to find herself falling for a rock star, let alone a rock star with a bit of a reputation but Johnny’s life has been turned upside down, and our hero uses the band’s contract with Jillian for emotional support and help with everything going on. The daughter Johnny never knew existed is struggling to find her way, and Jillian finds herself mothering a girl who does not want to be mothered.

The relationship between Jillian and Johnny begins acrimoniously as Jillian is angry that the band’s manager has cancelled a third time but Jillian knows immediately something is wrong when all h*ll breaks lose about a fourteen year old child. Johnny has cancelled his upcoming tour but is struggling to find peace with the daughter he never knew. With Jillian’s help, Johnny becomes both father and mentor, a man who wants something more from our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense.

There is a large and familiar secondary and supporting cast of wonderful characters many of whom we met in the previous series and story line. We are introduced to Johnny’s daughter Zoey, and his siblings Kane, Aria and Harlow, as well as Jillian’s siblings Beau, Jax, Graham, Nick and Zev, and their parents.

ROCKED BY LOVE is a story of family and relationships, a wonderland of Xanadu perfection, an idyllic, almost utopian and heartwarming world where Johnny’s daughter’s acclimation and acceptance in the family is positive, with limited issues or drama, and very few challenges. The premise is fascinating and delightful; the romance is seductive and provocative; the characters are charismatic, charming and captivating.
