This is FBI Agent Kai Roman, and Camila Garza’s story line. THE AGENT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments or series is revealed where necessary. Camila is the youngest sister of Detective Matteo Garza (THE GUARDIAN 5).

Told from several omniscient third person perspectives including Camila and Kai, THE AGENT follows the building romance and relationship between FBI Agent Kai Roman, and Camila Garza. One year earlier, FBI Agent Kai Roman rejected the advances of Camila Garza having found himself on the outs with our heroine’s older brother. Fast forward to present day, our couple find themselves witnesses to a bank robbery, a robbery in which Camila will fast become a target of the robbers involved. In an effort to protect the woman with whom he is falling in love, Kai and Camila go into hiding but their return means facing down the people responsible. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Kai and Camila, and the potential fall-out the thieves target our story line heroine, and Camila’s brother refuses to accept Kai as a potential mate for his younger sister.

The world building continues to focus on the men and women of the Intelligence Unit of the Remington PD . Kai has a checkered past with Camila’s brother Matteo, and as such he is not welcome in Camila’s life but Camila’s life is in danger; she has been targeted for what she saw, and in this Kai becomes guardian and protector of the woman he loves.

FBI Agent Kai Roman has a history with Camila’s brother Matteo, and as such they tend to butt heads when thrown together. Camila is tired of the over protective attitude of her brother but understands that under the circumstances, her life is now in the hands of our story line hero. Both Kai and Camila are strong-willed and determined but Camila struggles with her attraction to a man she believes is too quick to run away. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including many of whom we met in previous instalments: Xander Matthews (The Rookie), Matteo and Delia(The Guardian); Detective Shawn Maxwell, and Detective Addison Hale. Matteo Garza continues to be the proverbial thorn in Kai Roman’s side but Kai refuses to back down from the woman with whom he is falling in love.

THE AGENT is another character driven, and fast paced story of suspense and tension, crime and desperation, acceptance and love. The premise is intriguing and tragic; the characters are determined and dynamic; the romance is seductive and provocative.

Conner knows that the only woman he will ever love is the woman that is struggling between head and heart but a struggle he is hoping to prove he is worthy of her love. Forced to choose between family and love, Hannah is heart broken to give in to pressure to keep peace in the family. The $ex scenes are passionate but mostly implied-there is no foul language.

The secondary and supporting characters are colorful and captivating. We are reintroduced to Conner’s brother Finn, a US Navy SEAL, as well as Hannah’s embittered brother Parker, and fellow paramedic Dre.

STRICTLY OFF LIMITS is a story of betrayal and vengeance, manipulation and greed, lies and fraud, acceptance, forgiveness and love. The fast paced premise is impassioned ; the characters are sassy, spirited and heart broken; the romance is seductive and sweet.

This is CIA operative Cain ‘Shade’ Cavanagh and thirty-one year old, hacker Jet ‘Hex’ Adler’s story line. HEX can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from omniscient dual third person perspectives HEX follows Jet and Cain as they are tagged to take down a suspected buyer for a next generation drone technology. Going under cover in Paris, France, with several members of the Sentinel Security team by their side, Jet and Cain ferret out the man responsible but not before Jet finds herself a target of an abduction, and threats against her life. Working together Cain struggles to keep his distance from the woman with whom he will fall in love, a woman who is determined to prove that Cain is worthy of his own happily ever after. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Cain and Jet, and the potential fall-out as the team finds themselves trapped when their assignment is discovered and plans are diverted.

The relationship between Jet and Cain is one of mutual attraction but Cain considers himself a lone-wolf, always working the next assignment, a man who has killed to protect the country he loves. Jet battles between head and heart knowing Cain believes himself unworthy but Jet is hoping that working together as a couple proves there is more to life than working as a spy. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of familiar and energetic secondary and supporting characters including many of the previous story line couples and heroes, and Vander Norcross (Norcross Security). We are introduced to Dante and Colton Fury, two of five powerful brothers with a questionable reputation. I am going to presume the author has plans for a series focusing on the Fury siblings.

HEX is a fast paced story of power and control, greed and vengeance, family, friendships, relationships and love. The premise is edgy and dramatic; the characters are animated, sassy and dynamic; the romance is sensual and seductive.

This is Ops Command Gabe ‘Spy’ Webb, and Rogues agent Tabatha Smith. THE SPY can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion, I recommend reading the series in order.

Told from omniscient dual first person perspectives (Gabe and Tabatha) THE SPY follows in the wake of a compromised mission, looking into the possibility of human trafficking. When their assignment fails, Gabe Webb receives another message from the top, demanding Tabatha Smith go in undercover to ferret out the circumstances of the people involved but Gabe refuses to let Tabatha walk alone, suspecting she may be set up to fail. Porter ‘Hollywood’ Winthrop has been doing triple duty, working at Appalachian STAR, in the wake of his release from prison for a crime he did not commit. Patrick ‘Patch’ Scott recognizes that the operation needs someone to take on the job no one else wants to do, so Patch tasks Porter with hiring a cook to feed the growing numbers at Appalchian STAR. The relationship between Audrey and Porter begins when Porter hires to work at Appalachian STAR. Porter recognizes the desperation in our story line heroine, a heroine who has been used and abused, a woman who is willing to protect her son, at any cost. Porter Winthrop was betrayed by the one person he thought he could trust, a betrayal that landed him in prison for a crime he did not commit. Finding a kindred soul, of a sort, in Audrey Sinclair, Porter is drawn to Audrey, like a fated mate. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful secondary and supporting characters including many of whom we have me in the previous story line and interconnected series: Patch and Penny (A Desperate Man 1), Miles ‘ Bear’ McMillan; Ghost, Priest, Reboot, Paddy and Bulldog, as well as several townspeople in and around Mallie, Kentucky. Something is building with Bulldog.

A BITTER MAN is a story of betrayal and vengeance, addiction and recovery, desperation, misunderstanding and forgiveness, love and acceptance. The fast paced premise is intriguing and entertaining but the story line conflict is limited to the relationship between Audrey and Porter, and her acceptance by the people at Appalachian STAR. There were a couple of other potential conflicts that fizzled and died, I was hoping for a little more romantic suspense. The characters are numerous, determined and charismatic; the romance is seductive and impassioned.
