ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date
Everyone has dreams when they are young.
And mine came to an abrupt halt.
I changed as a man, as a person, my soul was damaged beyond repair.
So I turned into someone everyone would hate.
Because I hate everyone and everything.
I’m furious at the world.
I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
But then it does change.
And if there is one thing I am not good at, it’s adapting.
Hope, Bullseye’s daughter, jump starts my soul again.
I hate it.
I love it.
I need her.
But I can’t have her.
She’s my friend’s daughter, for one.
For two, she’s way too damn young for the likes of me.
Three? She’s got a kid.
And everyone knows how I feel about kids.
Vermin. Loud. Annoying.
Wonderful. Beautiful. Precious.
The voice inside my head is stupid.
It wants and wants but I won’t allow myself to have it.
I don’t deserve to have it.
There’s no hope for me.
Even if hope is staring me in the face.
I have to focus on me. My business. I’m on a case.
Women are dying.
And it’s all because of me.
I have to protect what I care about for once in my life.
I failed once and I refuse to do it again.
How can I love her, when hate is all I’ve ever known?

REVIEW:WHISTLER is the second instalment in KL Savage’s contemporary, adult RUTHLESS HELLHOUNDS erotic, MC, romance series. This is thirty-two year old, Wesley aka Whistler, and twenty four year old, Charlie Fletcher’s storyline. WHISTLER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. RUTHLESS HELLHOUNDS is a spin off from the author’s Ruthless Kings MC series.
WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be trigger for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Charlie and Whistler) WHISTLER follows in the wake of Whistler’s suspicions of abuse directed at Charlie Fletcher, a young woman whose father owns the construction company bidding on a job for the Ruthless Hellhounds MC. Believing Charlie is being abused by her husband, Whistler stakes out her home only to be called back in to discover his younger sister Taylor is missing. Torn between saving the lives of two women for whom he cares deeply, Whistler must first save Charlie from herself, then save her from a man whose secrets run dangerous and deep. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Charlie and Whistler, and the potential fall-out as the MC is targeted in a fatal game to control the likes of Charlie Fletcher.
Charlie Fletcher believes she has no other choice but to remain in an abusive relationship with the man she once loved but when pushed too far, Charlie is wiling to end it all, in an effort to escape the pain and humiliation of her daily life. Whistler and the Ruthless Hellhounds are all about protecting those who are unable to protect themselves but often it is the victim who refuses protection, and in this, the MC must make a move before it is too late.
The relationship between Charlie and Whistler is one of immediate attraction, one in which Charlie is unable to free herself from a toxic relationship fearing for the lives of the people she loves.Battered and beaten, Charlie finds herself in the arms of our story line hero, a man she will quickly learn will become guardian and protector, at a risk to his own life. The $ex scenes are intimate and erotic.
We are reintroduced to several members of the Ruthless Hellhounds MC including the president Mercy, and Whistler’s best friend One, as well as Whistler’s sister Taylor. The requisite evil has many faces.
WHISTLER is a fast paced, raw and impassioned story line. The premise is gritty and dramatic; the romance is provocative and intense; the characters are edgy and spirited. WHISTLER ends on a ‘happily ever after –for now’.

“Hey there, Cupcake. Finding everything you need?”
“Maybe. I need your opinion on some things. Will you wait outside the fitting room?” She fumbles with the clothes in her hands and half of them drop onto the floor.
“Yeah, Cupcake. I’d love to have my own private show. Thanks for asking.” I blow her a kiss and bend down to gather the dresses and swimsuits.
Oh.
Fuck.
Me.
I lift up the tiny shred of material. It’s a one-piece, I think. I’m not sure since there isn’t a lot of material to it. It has a deep V that cuts into the middle of the swimsuit and the back…
I growl when I see the skinny thong that will ease between her plump cheeks. I bet this is a test. She’s never been able to wear what she wants. Men can look all they want at what is mine, but if they touch her, well, all bets are off.
I’ll be swinging my bat until their heads come clean off.
My bats are special and not expensive. I also do something different with them than other people do.
I add nails through the body, and I’ll replace the bat when the nails eventually fall out, which happens after I swing it one too many times.
“Does this come in more colors?” The words are deep and husky. The sick part of me wants one for myself so I can wrap it around my cock and stroke myself while I think of her wearing it.
“You don’t like that color? It’s black. You like black, right?” she sounds so unsure as she holds the clothes to her chest.
“You got this for me?” the animalistic rumble in my throat has her eyes rounding to moons.
“Um, yes?” She toes the ground.
“I want this suit in every color. Where did you get it?”
She points to the rack behind me, and I snarl as I hurriedly finger through the rack, grabbing every color I see. Pink. Green. Yellow. Orange. Neon colors too.
And then there aren’t anymore.
Why am I so sad about this?
“Whistler, that’s so many swimsuits. I don’t even know if I’ll ever have the courage to wear something like that.”
“And when you do, I’m going to pull up a chair and watch you spin around for me because Cupcake, this is the kind of swimsuit that brings a man to his knees. You get that, right?”
She stays quiet for a minute, and I take the opportunity to walk her to the fitting room. I slide the curtain aside, drop all the swimsuits on the bench and stalk out, dragging a chair from the room next to us and plop it right in front of Charlie’s so I don’t miss one outfit.
“Will it bring you to your knees?”
“What, Cupcake?”
“The swimsuit. Will it bring you to your knees?”
Christ, this woman is going to be the death of me.
I lean forward, placing my elbows on my knees as she pinches the red curtain between her fingers, staring at the frayed seam. “Charlie, I haven’t even seen you wearing it and I’m on my knees for you. Hell, I’m crawling for you, Charlie. Whether you get the swimsuits or not, I’m a fucking goner.” I might as well answer honestly, right?
I’d crawl over broken glass and burning coals just to have one glance at her.
“You’re so…”
Intense? Passionate? A bit obsessive?
I know.
“Amazing,” she finishes and slides the curtain shut.
K.L. Savage decided they were tired of looking for the kind of books they wanted to read. They had an itch that needed to be scratched, and as every girl knows, nothing scratches better than an alpha.
They write about gritty, alpha males, sometimes their dark sides, and the women they love.
If you have the same itch, their alpha males should fix that.
