ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 12, 2023
Tristan Thomas is lost.
After leaving the Army, the young former soldier is in limbo. Until, that is, he’s hired by Mark Trevena, the owner of Lyonesse—DC’s ultra-secret club—to be Mark’s new bodyguard. He’s drawn into Mark’s dark, seductive world of power and desire, and slowly drawn to Mark himself, even though Mark is everything Tristan knows he shouldn’t want: cruel and wicked and shamelessly amoral.
But protecting Mark isn’t Tristan’s only duty: soon, Mark asks him to guard his soon-to-be bride as she travels home from Ireland on Mark’s yacht. Tristan is jealous—and hurt to learn that the object of his obsession is engaged—but the soldier in him is made to obey orders, and he goes to fetch Mark’s bride for him.
Isolde Laurence is nothing like Tristan expected, however. Young, quiet, and sharp, she’s being pushed into this marriage by her family, and as the two travel back to America, Tristan finds himself fascinated with Isolde and the glimpses he gets of the lonely but determined woman behind her reserve. And the fascination is mutual: one night, while sailing under the cold stars, they share a searing kiss.
From there, it’s a fast fall into the forbidden.
But in Mark Trevena’s world, the fall is only the beginning…

REVIEW:I’m going to have to start charging authors for the amount of time I spend in therapy because of these books I read! (mostly kidding) Sierra Simone is back at it again with a new series, and one that has me in a literal chokehold.
Salt Kiss is a fast paced full novel that is marketed in my opinion as a MMF romance. It is not that. The book starts as a MM romance with a erotica BDSM twist, it has plenty of darkness, spice and ki*k, but as I read it, it felt like I was reading the book blurb. Nothing wrong with that though, the plot keeps you engaged, but its the spice that has clutching the book tighter and tiger.
Tristan, Mark and Isolde are a unique story in a world that I don’t think many people explore as much as they should. Tristan’s struggles, the intensity of the characters’ connections were all so vivid. There are parts of the BDSM sections of the book that are very different from other books I have read with it. No spoilers, but I think that played a big part of the storyline. There aren’t many authors that have books with LQBTG characters as the main lead, and this one has that and more.
Sierra Simone has always been a favorite author of mine, and as she keeps putting books out like this, I will continue to be a loyal reader. Mind the trigger warnings before reading this fantastic book!

Sierra is a voracious reader of all things including the smuttiest smut, young adult, piles of non-fiction for research, and everything Bill Bryson (especially on audio).
She loves writing the dirtiest things that she can think of, King Arthur, sparkling water, Tarot, coffee, leggings, and learning new words daily.
Her previous jobs have included firing ceramics, teaching living history lessons in one-room school house in full, 1908-approved school marm attire, and working as a librarian for several years—not in that order
She lives in the Kansas City area with her hot cop husband, two children, and two giant dogs. (And two cats, but they’re so naughty we don’t talk about them.)
The social media she cares about the most are Spotify and Instagram. Following her in those places is a true love language, indeed.
