ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 12, 2022

It was the friends-with-benefits proposition he never saw coming…

While Arran Adair might have followed the call of wanderlust in his younger years, it isn’t the reason he stayed away from Ardnoch. Home now, desperate to put the sins of his past behind him, and rebuild his life in the Scottish Highlands, Arran could never have predicted Eredine Willows. The Ardnoch Estate Pilates instructor is a complicated mystery and one Arran can’t help but want to solve.

Eredine has spent the last eight years hiding in Scotland and building walls between her and the people she cares about. Arran is the first Adair who doesn’t treat her as if she’s fragile and demands a genuine friendship. Yet, the attraction sizzling between them is undeniable. So when she realizes she trusts him, Eredine surprises them both by offering Arran one night of no-strings passion.

Arran knows one night will inevitably lead to a desire for more and he’s willing to stay by Eredine’s side for as long as it takes to convince her there’s something real between them. However, just when Arran thinks they might build a future together, Eredine’s past returns to stalk her. And Arran won’t just have to battle her demons to keep them together. He’ll need to battle his own.

REVIEW: BE WITH ME is the fourth instalment in Samantha Young’s contemporary, adult ADAIR FAMILY erotic, romance series focusing on the Adair siblings. This is thirty-six year renovation coordinator Arran Adair, and thirty-two year old, yoga instructor American Eredine Willows’ story line. BE WITH ME can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as events in the current time line have been triggered by events in the past.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Arran and Eredine) BE WITH ME follows the friends to lovers relationship between thirty-six year renovation coordinator Arran Adair, and thirty-two year old, yoga instructor American Eredine Willows. For months Eredine Willows and Arran Adair have been doing the proverbial dance of attraction but Eredine is hiding a secret past, and Arran struggles with secrets of his own. Offering a friends with benefits proposition Eredine is hoping to scratch an itch where it concerns our story line hero but the heart wants something more than Eredine is willing to give. As the relationship between Eredine and Arran begins to grow, the past demands reparations, targeting our couple in a deadly game of jealousy, obsession and revenge. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Eredine and Arran, and the potential fall-out as Eredine struggles to trust, and Arran battles between head and heart every time Eredine pushes him out of her life.

Eredine Willows is more or less in hiding having left America eight years earlier for a job in Scotland but Eredine’s past is on the hunt, and it is only a matter of time before Eredine and everyone she loves is exposed to the mania of a crazed man. Arran Adair has known loss, and continues to struggle in the face of grief and guilt but someone is threatening our story line hero, and the threats have now been directed towards the woman with whom Arran is falling in love.

The relationship between Arran and Eredine is a friends to lovers in which Eredine continues struggle with issues of trust. Having buried her past, Eredine is determined to keep everything a secret, a secret that if revealed could threaten everyone she loves. Arran Adair wants something more than a one-night stand, he wants Eredine as his happily ever after but does not understand why Eredine has built a wall around her heart, a wall she refuse to let anyone climb. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

Once again, there is a large ensemble cast of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters including all, if not most, of the Adair siblings: Lachlan and Robyn (Here with Me 1),Thane and Regan (There With You 2), Arrochar ‘Arro’ Adair, and Mackennon ‘Mac’ Galbraith (Always You 3), and brother Brodan, as well as the return of Brodan’s childhood friend Monroe Sinclair. Brodan and Monroe’s story line is next in ONLY YOU.

BE WITH ME is a story of family and friendships, relationships and love. A tale of obsession and madness, vengeance and betrayal. The fast paced, character driven premise is emotional and engaging; the romance is seductive and provocative; the characters are captivating and determined.

REVIEW: EMBER IN THE HEART twenty-five year old, single father and real estate investor Foster Darwin, and thirty-six year old massage therapist/business owner Ember Bonet.

Told from first person (Ember) and third person (Foster), Foster Darwin met Ember Bonet at his best friend and partner’s engagement party, an engagement to Ember’s sister Jade but the meeting between Ember and Foster didn’t go according to plan, and Ember would soon discover that her new neighbor was none other than Foster Darwin. Falling for his daughter’s temporary ‘nanny’ was out of the question but fall he did, if only for a short period of time.

REVIEW:THERE WITH YOU is the second instalment in Samantha Young’s contemporary, adult ADAIR FAMILY erotic, romance series focusing on the Adair siblings. This is thirty-eight year old, architect and single father Thane Adair, and twenty-five year old nanny Regan Penhaligon’s story line. THERE WITH YOU can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary but for back story I recommend reading the series in order. Thane was first introduced in book one, and is the brother of Lachlan Adair; Regan is Robyn Penhaligon’s half sister (HERE WITH ME #1).

WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers. If you have not read book one, there may be spoilers in my review.

Told from first person perspectives (Regan) and third person (Thane) THERE WITH YOU follows in the wake of Regan Penhaligon’s arrival in Scotland months after the attack on her sister Robyn’s life. Robyn, believing Regan is shallow and inconsiderate, struggles with her sister’s arrival, not knowing the extent of Regan’s heart break and pain. Hoping to remain in Scotland for an extended period of time, Regan applies to work as a nanny for Robyn’s future brother in law, Thane Adair, the man with whom she will fall in love. What ensues is the slow building romance and relationship between Thane and Regan, and the potential fall-out as Regan’s returns, and Thane refuses to acknowledge the proverbial elephant in the room.

Thane Adair struggles with issues of trust as it pertains to our story line heroine. Having heard too many horror stories about his future sister in law’s half sister, Thane battles between head and heart but desperate for a nanny, Thane reluctantly hires our story line heroine, only to continue to struggle at every conceivable turn. Regan Penhaligon’s preconceived reputation as undependable and unreliable is destroying her relationship with not only her family but the man that she love but Regan’s past is about to demand her return, and with it threatens all hope for a future with Thane Adair.

The relationship between Thane and Regan begins acrimoniously as Thane believes Regan is unstable and undependable but his children love our story line heroine, and with that, Thane relents to hire the woman with whom he will fall in love . Regan is immediately attraction to Thane Adair but his back and forth, up and down, hot and cold attitude is heart breaking and sad, and with it Regan has fallen in love with a man who is often guarded, angry and cold. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Thane’s children Lewis and Eilidh; his siblings Lachlan, Brodan, Arrochar, and Arran; Regan’s half sister Robyn, and her parents Seth and Stacey; Robyn’s father Mac Galbraith; neighbour Callum McCulloch; yoga instructor Eredine Willows; and Regan’s ex Austin Vale.

THERE WITH YOU is a slow-burn, heart breaking and impassioned story of family and love. The premise is dramatic, intense and compelling; the romance is emotional and sensual; the characters are broken, tragic and flawed.

Settled in the tranquil remoteness of the Scottish Highlands, Ardnoch Estate caters to the rich and famous. It is as unattainable and as mysterious as its owner —ex-Hollywood leading man Lachlan Adair—and it’s poised on the edge of a dark scandal.

After narrowly escaping death, police officer Robyn Penhaligon leaves behind her life in Boston in search of some answers. Starting with Mac Galbraith, the Scottish father who abandoned her to pursue his career in private security. To re-connect with Mac, Robyn will finally meet a man she’s long resented. Lachlan Adair. Hostility instantly brews between Robyn and Lachlan. She thinks the head of the Adair family is high-handed and self-important. And finding closure with Mac is proving more difficult than she ever imagined. Robyn would sooner leave Ardnoch, but when she discovers Mac is embroiled in a threat against the Adairs and the exclusive members of the estate, she finds she’s not yet ready to give up on her father.

Determined to ensure Mac’s safety, Robyn investigates the disturbing crimes at Ardnoch, forcing her and Lachlan to spend time together. Soon it becomes clear a searing attraction exists beneath their animosity, and temptation leads them down a perilous path.
While they discover they are connected by something far more addictive than passion, Lachlan cannot let go of his grip on a painful past: a past that will destroy his future … if the insidious presence of an enemy lurking in the shadows of Ardnoch doesn’t do the job first.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date May 14, 2020

To my siblings, Jane was a friend. A pseudo-sister, the girl we grew up with.
To me? She was everything.
Our passion consumed us.

When our world fell apart, I thought our love would be the thing that held us together.
She was the love of my life. But she abandoned me when I needed her most.
And I’ll never forgive her.

For years I’ve been planning my revenge against the people who took everything from me.
Jane won’t be an exception. I’m coming for her.
She knows it.

She says she wants to help me serve my version of justice on the people who hurt me.
I’ll let her.
She probably thinks it will save her from me.

It won’t.

*This is a complete standalone. The Play On series are books connected by the theme of the arts industry, not by characters.

REVIEW:BLACK TANGLED HEART  is the third instalment in Samantha Young’s contemporary, new adult to adult romance story line focusing on artist Jane Doe and writer Jamie McKenna. BLACK TANGLED HEART can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Each of the instalments is a stand alone story.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Jane and Jamie) BLACK TANGLED HEART covers approximately seventeen years in the life of Jane Doe and Jamie McKenna. At thirteen years of age, Jane Doe, a product of the foster care system met Skye, Lorna and their brother Jamie McKenna, and immediately fell in love with the boy who would one day break her heart. With Lorna as her best friend, and Skye a ‘second’ mother in our heroine’s life, Jane found herself loved for the first time in her life but falling in love with Jamie McKenna forced Jane to pick sides in a family that was about to quickly implode. As Jane and Lorna’s friendship slowly deteriorated, Jane’s relationship with Jamie advanced to a more personal level but all was not well in the McKenna household, when tragedy would strike not once but twice in a short period of time. As Jane struggled to move on with her life, Jamie barely managed to survive only to enact a plan of vengeance against everyone he blamed for destroying his life, including our story line heroine.

The relationship between Jamie and Jane is one of immediate attraction but our couple were only thirteen and fifteen years old when they met. Years would pass wherein Jamie bided his time waiting for the woman with whom he would fall in love, a woman he would eventually grow to hate and distrust. Jane never stopped loving the man who had stolen her heart, a man she no longer recognized following years of separation, and too much time to consider what happened in the past. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

BLACK TANGLED HEART follows two relationships: Jane and Lorna, and Jamie and Jane’s. Lorna was Jane’s only true friend but their friendship came at a cost to everyone involved. The dysfunctional family dynamics of the McKenna household would reveal a dark secret that would destroy Jamie, and eventually his relationship with both Lorna and Jane. A heart breaking and emotional story BLACK TANGLED HEART is a passionate and dramatic look at life, love, betrayal and revenge. The romance is seductive and sensitive; the characters are real, startling, broken and lost.

About the Book : Release Date March 12, 2019

Autumn O’Dea has always tried to see the best in people while her big brother, Killian, has always tried to protect her from the worst. While their lonely upbringing made Killian a cynic, it isn’t in Autumn’s nature to be anything but warm and open. However, after a series of relationship disasters and the unsettling realization that she’s drifting aimlessly through life, Autumn wonders if she’s left herself too vulnerable to the world. Deciding some distance from the security blanket of her brother and an unmotivated life in Glasgow is exactly what she needs to find herself, Autumn takes up her friend’s offer to stay at a ski resort in the snowy hills of Montana. Some guy-free alone time on Whitetail Mountain sounds just the thing to get to know herself better.

However, she wasn’t counting on colliding into sexy Grayson King on the slopes. Autumn has never met anyone like Gray. Confident, smart, with a wicked sense of humor, he makes the men she dated seem like boys. Her attraction to him immediately puts her on the defense because being open-hearted in the past has only gotten it broken. Yet it becomes increasingly difficult to resist a man who is not only determined to seduce her, but adamant about helping her find her purpose in life and embrace the person she is. Autumn knows she shouldn’t fall for Gray. It can only end badly. After all their lives are divided by an ocean and their inevitable separation is just another heart break away…

REVIEW: HOLD ON is instalment 2.5 and novella in Samantha Young’s contemporary, adult PLAY ON erotic, romance series. This is Autumn O’ Dea, and ski instructor/ construction company owner Grayson King’s storyline. HOLD ON can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments in the Play On series is revealed where necessary. Autumn is the sister of Killian O’Dea –AS DUST DANCES.

NOTE: HOLD ON is part of Kristen Proby’s BIG SKY crossover collection.

Told from first person point of view (Autumn ) HOLD ON follows Glasgow resident Autumn O’Dea as she vacations, along with friends Catie and Kyle, in the Whitetail Mountains of Montana. Not much of a ski enthusiast, Autumn will take out ski instructor Grayson King, which will ‘snowball’ into a insta-love romance between two people from opposite sides of the ocean. What ensues is the rapidly building romance and love between Grayson and Autumn, and the potential fall-out as Autumn struggles with issues of trust, and battles with separation anxiety from Killian O’Dea, the brother she considers both parent and friend.

HOLD ON is a story of romance, love, letting go and moving forward. Autumn’s history with men is dark and miserable but meeting Grayson King stirs something in our story line heroine long thought buried and gone. Grayson King’s attraction to Autumn is immediate and intense, so much so that our hero is determined to claim Autumn as his own. The premise is fast paced, sweet, and engaging; the romance is passionate and intense; the characters are colorful and energetic. HOLD ON is the perfect addition to Samantha Young’s PLAY ON series.

I stared dully at my painting. My creative mood had left the building, under the weight of the many questions going around and around in my head. Adrenaline made it hard for me to sit still. Cursing Jamie under my breath, I grabbed my laundry basket and headed toward the front door. Peering through the peephole, I double-checked his door was shut before I left my apartment. Glowering at his door as I passed, I hurried downstairs. How the hell had he maneuvered himself into my building? And why?
To my gratitude, the laundry room was empty as I crashed around inside it. I hauled out my stash of detergent and softener from my allocated locker and started separating my whites. That rat bastard. My heart raced, sweat gathered under my arms, and it agitated me. An encounter with Jamie was the equivalent of fifteen shots of caffeine.
And I hated that he knew I was lying to Asher. Something he could easily hold over my head.
“You are a very angry laundry doer.”
Jamie’s deep, rich voice startled me. Trying to control my breathing, I glared over at him standing in the doorway. Arms and ankles crossed as he leaned casually against the jamb. He wore a T-shirt and jeans. Nothing had changed there.
He was still the sexiest man I’d ever seen.
God, I hate him.
“What the hell are you doing in this building?” I turned my back on him, marching over to the stacked washers and dryers.
“I had no idea you lived here,” he lied, his voice growing closer as he crossed the room toward me.
Attempting not to react physically, to not hunch my shoulders in tension, I stared unseeing at the machines. What was I in the middle of doing again?
“What a surprise to find out you’re my neighbor.”
I snorted in disbelief and turned around, shocked to find him already in my personal space. “Liar.” I dragged my gaze insolently down his body and back up. “Move away. And I mean that in more ways than one.”
“Oh, does my presence bother you?” His wicked smile caused somersaults in my belly.
“What are you doing here?” I ignored his proximity. Okay, I tried to ignore his proximity.
In answer, he stepped into me and I stumbled against the machines at my back. Jamie pressed the palms of his hands on the dryer, caging me in. My breath caught and held as his scent flooded me. That dark, earthy scent was enticing, and my body betrayed my emotions.
Feeling panic rise, I pushed at his chest, but he wouldn’t budge. “Jamie?”
Those ocean eyes wandered over my face, cold, calculating. “He doesn’t know who I am. You haven’t told him.”
I lowered my hands. Touching him was even more discombobulating. “No.”
He bent his head toward mine until our noses almost touched. I sucked in a breath. “I wonder why you’re keeping it from him?”
Determined not to let him see how much he affected me, I glared up at him. He’d only have to touch me, hold my hand, to realize I was trembling. His face was so familiar. His lips were lips I’d thought I’d kiss for the rest of my life. Why did the pain of it never dull? Why did it still feel like a shard of glass through my chest? “Did you leak those tapes of Foster Steadman to Asher’s mom?”
Something menacing flashed in his eyes before he banked it. “And if I did?”
“Are you being smart, Jamie?”
“Are you asking out of concern for me or for your billionaire boy toy?”
“Jamie.”
“Never mind. I don’t care.” The bastard dipped his nose to my throat, and I tensed against the stacked machines. He inhaled, his nose brushing my skin, and my fingers bit into the washer behind me. “You smell different,” he whispered, lifting his head to my ear. “Expensive perfume. You’ve come up in the world.”
I felt his breath caress my skin seconds before his teeth touched my earlobe. Gasping, I instinctively pushed my palms against his stomach as he bit down hard, causing a flush of heat between my legs.
With a dark chuckle, Jamie released my ear after one last nibble and whispered, “Is he the jealous type, Jane?”

What happens when a boxer finds chemistry with a geek?

Parker Brown can’t believe she needs to hire a fake boyfriend. When she landed her dream job in renewable energy, she thought she’d be entering a world at the forefront of progressive thinking. But the head boss prefers to promote employees who are “settled.” Thankfully, she’s found the perfect candidate, a fellow intellectual looking for some quick cash. What Parker gets is his protective big brother—Rhys Morgan. The tall, muscled ex-boxer with a foul mouth shows up just as her boss does, and now she’s stuck with the manipulative jerk.

Responsibility weighs heavily on Rhys. Now permanently out of the ring, he’s trying to hold together his late father’s gym and keep his younger brother, Dean, on the straight and narrow. To save Dean from himself, Rhys takes his place, ready to give this society girl a piece of his mind. Instead, he finds an opportunity. Even though they can hardly stand each other, posing as Parker’s boyfriend is a win-win deal. She gets to keep her job, and he’ll charm her star-struck boss into sponsoring his gym.

Problem is, they can barely keep their hands off each other. And what started as an easy deal isn’t so easy anymore. Because what future can a rough ex-boxer, afraid to open his heart, and a polished society geek, who has sworn off real relationships, possibly have?

They say opposites attract. These opposites are about to combust on impact.

AngryTink: Hey. This is Parker. Parker Brown.
My phone dinged loudly. I fumbled around my bed, finally finding the damn thing under a pillow. Wiping the sleep off my face, I rolled onto my back and read the text that had pulled me out of a pleasant sleep. I smiled. It was just so … Parker. Settling in, I answered her.
RhysThis: Don’t have to tell me who you are. Your number is programmed on my phone. What do you want?
AngryTink: Well, good morning to you too, Happy Pants.
My smile turned into an evil grin. The girl was always going to punch back and make it count.
RhysThis: That’s Mr. Happy Pants. Though, TBH, my pants aren’t too happy at the moment. Want to help me out with that?
AngryTink: Tempting. Truly. But, no.
RhysThis: RU sure? ‘Cuz Happy Pants Rhys is much more agreeable than Sad That He Had to Self-Satisfy Rhys.
AngryTink: Would you please behave?
RhysThis: I’m not the one who mentioned the emotional state of my pants.
AngryTink: ARGH!
A chuckle rumbled in my chest as my thumbs tapped out a response I knew would piss her off more.
RhysThis: Was that even English? Honestly, Ms. Brown, I thought you were educated.
She took a moment to answer. I could picture her, phone in hand, grinding her teeth.
AngryTink: You’re deliberately trying to annoy me, aren’t you?
RhysThis: You’re quick. I’ll give you that.
AngryTink: Mr. Morgan, I’m about ten seconds away from finding an alternate fake boyfriend. A goat on a rope would be a better candidate at this point.
It was cute she thought that was threatening.
RhysThis: Yeah, probably. But the goat doesn’t have a signed contract. I do, Tinker Bell.
AngryTink: ARGH@!!
RhysThis: You’re kind of cute when you talk pirate.
