What ensues is the quick building relationship between Bama and Jordyn, and the potential fall-out as the past threatens to expose our story line hero.

The world building follows the building relationship between Bama and Jordyn; the sins of the past; and the retribution aimed at our story line couple.

The relationship between Bama and Jordyn is a friends to lovers. Bama found himself guardian and protector of his club president’s daughter, and in this, they had to tread carefully in the face of a forbidden love. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate and intense.

There is a large ensemble cast of energetic and familiar secondary and supporting characters including several from the original Reaper’s Rejects MC: Zane, Dracus, Blackjack, Octavia, , as well as Jordyn’s sisters Nova and Kat.

Left on his own, Gears becomes a prisoner of the Reaper’s Rejects MC, a prisoner who is about to fall in love with the Club President’s daughter but a year of abuse under the guise of demanding information finds Gears struggling to accept the woman that is about to be his ticket to freedom. Enter Sydney, an aspiring singer, and the woman with whom Gears will fall in love. The world building follows the building but forbidden relationship between our story line couple. Gears is a prisoner having been caught in the crossfire of his former ‘brother’s’ madness, and for all intents and purposes, everyone he knew, thought he was dead. Befriending Sydney, Gears would gain a little bit of freedom, freedom that brings the couple closer together.

The relationship between Gears and Sydney is a forbidden romance. Sydney struggles to understand her father’s need to keep Gears prisoner, and over the weeks and months, Sydney becomes an ally when Gears needs it the most. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.

We are reintroduced to several members of the Reaper’s Rejects MC including club president Zane, Inc and Octavia, Sydney’s ‘parents’.

SYDNEY’S BATTLE is a story of betrayal and vengeance, power and control, family and acceptance. The fast paced premise is intriguing but Sydney and Gears’ ability to fly under the radar for so long was unbelievable. The romance was passionate; the characters were desperate and determined.

The relationship between Amy and Matteo is one of immediate attraction for Matteo but Amy is too ill to truly comprehend Matteo’s actions.Matteo will take over Amy’s life ensuring her complete dependence, a dependence Amy is only too willing to accept in the face of her situation. The $ex scene are provocative and passionate.

The secondary and supporting characters are familiar and determined. We are reintroduced to Matteo’s sibling: Javier and Hope, Rafael and Carrie, and Santos, as well as their mother Elizabeth. Rafael and Javier are worried about Matteo’s obsession with Amy but Elizabeth is determined to make her one of their own.

MATTEO is a story of abuse and recovery, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The premise is captivating and entertaining; the slow building romance is seductive and intense; the characters are desperate -Matteo is fixated and bewitched by our story line heroine -a noticeable ‘white knight’ syndrome in the face of past events.

The numerous epilogues fast forward the series approximately twenty-three years ending on a cliff-hanger, crossing over with the characters from the author’s Beautiful Broken Obsession, book one in the Bratva Bound series.

Due to commitment issues I have lived in many different cities and my favorite is Chicago but I have managed to settle into Austin and perhaps my commitment issues are behind me.

I have enjoyed reading from a very young age and it wasn’t long before the children books bored me and I read the books my mother enjoyed Stephen King and Dean Koontz and I didn’t sleep without the light on until I was about ten.

I came across my first Harlequin by accident and it was love at first read, no one died and happy endings? It was a whole new world and I loved it.

I wrote my first story at eight and everyone died, of course. Since then I would like to think I’ve gotten better and now I’m writing the happily ever afters I first fell in love with, with some hot sex thrown in along the way.

As a plus size woman myself, I have started writing the stories I always wanted to see myself in but never did. And now I’m ecstatic to give BBWs the happily ever afters with hot Alphas I want to read.

REVIEW: THORNS OF DESIRE is the fifth instalment in Eva Winners contemporary, adult THORNS OF OMERTA dark, erotic, Mafia romance series. The world building follows several paths including the overlap between four relationships, all friends of our story line heroine. As the Russian Bratva begins to circle against the Italian Mafia, the Triads are taking aim for sins of the past.

The relationship between Athena and Manuel begins as a one-night stand but Athena begins to struggle with a familial connection. Manuel is a man almost twice Athena’s age, and in this his experiences and former lovers reveal a history that hits too close to home. Manuel is desperate to protect the woman with whom he is falling in love, and Athena knows that without Manuel, her life would be forfeit for someone else’s sins. The $ex scenes are provocative and seductive.

The secondary and supporting characters are desperate and questionable on many levels. We are introduced to head of the Bratva Atticus Popov, and his son Danil Popov; several members of the Chinese Mafia; Athena’s mother Alexandra Kosta, as well as the return of Dante and Phoenix (Thorns of Silence), Isla and Enrico (Thorns of Death), Raven. The requisite evil has many faces.

THORNS OF DESIRE is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, obsession and madness, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is intriguing, dramatic, dark and intense; the romance is bewitching and passionate; the characters are determined, dynamic, powerful and charismatic.
