ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date Ausust 23, 2024

I’m the hottest tight end in the league, and I’m ready to shoot my shot…

Blake

Nine years playing professional football for the Nashville Warriors has taught me a lot. I’ve learned not everyone is your friend, the fans can and will turn on you, and most importantly when you find love? You’ve got to grab it with both hands and never let it go.

I’ve had a crush on pop star Willa for years, but I was in a long-term relationship. When my ex and I break up and Willa makes a tour stop near one of our games, the stars align.

I’m only expecting to talk to her for a few minutes and explain how much I admire her. Instead, we’re hooked up by mutual friends, and as they say, chemistry as electric as ours? It can’t be denied.

Willa

I’m a fresh off the end of a long-term relationship. I’ve taken the required time that women like me need when our hearts are broken, and now I’m ready to get out and play the field again.

The only thing is; I don’t expect “the field” to mean with an actual professional athlete.

But when I meet Blake Whitfield, I know my life is never going to be the same. Late nights, early mornings, public outings, and the opinions of every person around us isn’t enough to discourage this love story.

As they say; let the games begin…

REVIEW:Laramie Briscoe has dropped another knockout! The Air I Breathe is a spicy celebrity, sports romance filled with angst, drama and second chances.

Willa is a pop-star, think T-Swift on overload if that’s possible, she does what she does and lives her life wild and free like she has always wanted to. Music is in her blood and the connection with it and her fans means everything to her. However, with every great song-writer there comes a past attached to it, and normally one with many stories. With her past, Willa has become cautious and guarded, agreeing to the type of meet up she does is out of character for her, but one she hopes will be a good thing.

Little does she know, it’s going to turn her whole life topseturvey.

Willa and Blake (who is such a sweetheart by the way!) are a match made in music heaven! This book was a kick in the pants with the laughter, and for once I can really say that listening to a killer music playlist while reading really did justice to the book. Willa and Blake try to manage a relationship in the public eye, and slowly start to realize how difficult it really can be. Everyone wants so much from them, their time, energy, music, love, they both love who they are and after some serious soul searching decide to make a true go at their relationship.

Blake and Willa had such great chemistry and banter and I think that is what had me coming back for more with each page. The Air I Breathe is a very happy go lucky, fluff book that had me grinning like an idiot while I was reading and frankly it was just happy, and sometimes that is all a reader wants in a book.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date August 19,2024

Sebastian

The broken girl that Mo brought to the clubhouse had me wanting to save her from herself and anyone else that dare hurt her from the moment I saw her. Now it’s my personal mission to find the bastard that did this to her and make him suffer worse than he can possibly imagine. I’m trying to piece this broken soul back together with my own two hands, but can we really withstand the trauma she’s been through or are we doomed before we even begin?

Bristol

Most girls at seventeen are thinking about college, parties, what boy they want to go to prom with. Me? I was thinking of a way to escape my new reality. I was kidnapped before I could make any of those normal seventeen year old girl decisions. Instead of normal, I was held in a concrete room and forced to become a toy for my own personal version of Satan for six long years. Then my new reality took a turn. I was rescued. SAVED. But at what cost?

••••••

REVIEW:Bristol by Nicole Sulli is a MC, darker romance, and a first time read for me. This book has trauma and SA so check the trigger warnings readers. That being said, this fast pace, spicy romance had me jonesings for the next page faster and faster. 🏍

Bristol is broken beyond repair, or so she thinks. After being held captive for years, forced to do horrible things, caged, and tortured, when she is finally freed, she doesn’t know what to feel. But she knows what she wants. I give this author major props for an awesome FMC, even with all the hell Bristol has been put through, she is strong and doesn’t let others make her feel weak.

Revenge.

Sebastian is both her knight in shining armor and assassin at the same time. He knows why she wants her revenge, what she is going to do, and is all on board to help her do it. Heck he even helps her get away with it. What gets me with the plot to the story is that there is such build up for Bristol to get her revenge, but when it finally happens, it’s a bit rushed. The ending happens so quickly, it feels very rushed, and even more so, it feels unfinished. There needed to be something else after that, an epilogue, another chapter, something to show that Bristol and Sebastian riding off into the sunset.

The book is pretty dark in parts, and the spicy bits are 🔥 to read. Overall I would read more by the author and did like the book.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date August 12, 2024

I’ll admit, I made more than my fair share of stupid decisions, but all it took was an accidental felony and a teensy kitchen fire to turn my life upside down.

When my parents cut me off, selling my swanky Los Angeles apartment and shipping me off to some ranch in the middle of nowhere to teach me a lesson, I thought it was the worst thing that could happen to me.

Then I got to Safe Haven Ranch and met my new boss.

Zach Paulson is an older, grumpy cowboy who thinks I’m nothing more than a spoiled princess and doesn’t want me on his turf. He also happens to be drop-dead gorgeous, and can wear a faded pair of Wranglers better than any other man alive.

The dumbest thing I can do is fall into lust with the temperamental rancher. Unfortunately, I’m not exactly known for making good choices.

But I’m determined to do better this time. I want to prove to myself and everyone else that I’m more than the shallow, self-absorbed socialite I’ve been playing at for years. I have a plan. Keep my head down, do my work, and don’t make any mistakes.

The problem is, I’m not the only one with a crush, and all my defenses are useless against a man like Zach when he puts his mind to getting what he wants.

REVIEW:  Bumbadadabum! *Jumps around with Kindle*

The Second Hope series has finally arrived! When Ms. Author announced the end of her Hope Valley series, I was so upset! I love this series, and before reading The Little Things, I wholeheartedly recommend reading the Hope Valley series. TLT can be read as a standalone, it’s the first in the extended series, but this book feels more like a reintroduction to HV. The Little Things is a grumpy cowboy, small-town, age gap, slow burn romance that Jessica Prince fans are going to love.

Zach (Cord & Rory’s son) has taken over his parents ranch; perfectly named; Safe Haven. His life is simple, his ranch, his land, his family, it’s the way we likes it. Growing up the way we did and being adopted by Cord and Rory was the best thing to ever happen to him. Now, decades later; his Mom is asking him a favor, watch out for her close friend’s daughter while they send her to the ranch to learn some life lessons. He agrees without thinking, little does Zach know that one decision is going to change his life forever.

Rae (Roan & Alma’s daughter) is a spoiled princess, her parents have doted on her since the day she was born, she has enjoyed the Hollywood high society for years, never having to deal with the consequences. Not until now. After landing herself in major hot water, her parents bail her out (yet again) but this time, they are done with her lifestyle. They decided enough is enough and send her to Hope Valley and Safe Haven Ranch. Rae is a fish out of water, lost in the wide open spaces and small town vibes. Ever so slowly though, the ranch, Hope Valley and Zach become much more to her than a punishment from her parents.

I will never tire of reading this author’s books, they have a wall of melting the heart and making the reader smile. Zach and Rae, while they do have an age gap, are meant to be. Zach is rough around the edges, but soft and gooey on the inside, Rae looks like a fairy princess, but has a will of steel, these two together make one heck of a pair. The storyline is a slow burn romance, it builds in a way that makes the reader turn the pages faster and faster, the 🔥🌶️ bits are fire of course, but the meaningful moments with the characters that make the story even better. I really, really hope to see Connor and Lennix get their own stores one day.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 30 ,2024

Have you ever tricked a man into bed with you?

Neither have I.
Wouldn’t dream of it—I’m a girl with class.

Except when it comes to my ex-boyfriend Noah.
Three years ago, I ruined any future with him and I’m done trying to win him back.
Better off. He’s Grumpy Gorgeous and I’m Sunshine Plain Jane.

With nothing left to keep me in our small town, and my best friend’s wedding to his brother looming, I make my amends. Call a truce so we don’t accidentally cause a scene during their big day.

The trick? Noah thinks my imaginary date to the wedding is my ticket to losing my V-card. And…I might have let him believe it.

A spark I thought was long gone ignites and suddenly he’s determined to prove I’m not ready. By volunteering himself to demonstrate.

It’s one dangerous game I agreed to, but it’s all I ever wanted. I only hope that when the truth comes out, we won’t be completely and unforgivably ruined.

••••

REVIEW:The Ruined is the second installment in the Hideaway Springs series by Roxanne Tulley. Each book can be read as a standalone, but as always I recommend reading the series in order to get the most of the story. I really enjoyed the small town, grumpy sunshine romance feel of this story, the plot moves quickly but the characters are what keep the reader engaged.

We meet Noah in book one, and the story continues around Pepper and Chase’s wedding. Charlie and Noah don’t like either other…actually, let’s be honest, they hate each other. Charlie has been branded a cheater, everyone knows about it and won’t let her live it down. This really confused me, she clearly didn’t sleep with anyone and nothing happened, except for a kiss. A kiss that ruined her life. Noah reacts like a nutcase in my opinion, but with this book, the storyline expands and things are made clear to Noah.

Noah was not my favorite person when I first started reading, don’t get me wrong, their chemistry was Chef kiss, but the beginning of their story really didn’t make me like him. As the plot progresses and Noah learns that he was a big dummy, the couple comes to terms with the mistakes of their past and move on to a brighter future together.

Overall a wholesome, spicy summer read that I enjoyed and would recommend to fellow readers.

REVIEW: The newest addition to the Jane Henry world; Obsession. A dark, forced proximity, romantic mystery that is sure to entertain its readers. This is a standalone book, and as such does not need any additional reading.

This author is a first time read to me, and because of that this book was eye opening, and a pretty good read for the most. I would check the trigger warning before reading, mainly because of the stalking that comes into play, but overall it did not feel very dark. The majority of the book runs a little slow paced, but the plot and story telling is engaging and easy to keep up with. Mystery romances can sometimes fall flat for me because I can always figure out who the “bad guy” is, well not with this one.

Violet and Cain are trippy! Cain is a PI with a very well known firm that is very exclusive in their clients. When Violet reaches out to Cain with a plea to help her find the monsters that killed her parents, Cain isn’t surprised. After all, he’s been keeping an eye on her already, in hopes of guiding her to coming to him for help. In the next twist, Cain’s sister is taken, and Violet has been added to the hit list of the man who has taken her. So much happens in the plot of this story, however it really doesn’t start moving until about half way through the book. Cain and Violet work together to find his sister and the people who killed her parents. A lot happens in the span of this mystery, and when Violet learns that Cain betrayed her, well all bets are off on that interaction. Overall pretty good book, action and mystery are top notch, spice…could have been better but overall good.

NOTE: OBSESSION is the re-release of the author’s Vengeance and Atonement duet.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 26, 2024

Barrett Grant is wild AF with hips he knows how to use, and he’s also eleven years younger than me…

Gabby

Get Baked is the culmination of every dream I had as a twenty-something. A dream my ex-husband stomped like a bug beneath the tip of his expensive Italian leather shoe. When I left with nothing more than my dignity and a vintage stand mixer I found at a thrift store, all I wanted was to be happy. Promised myself I wouldn’t settle until that happened.

Years later, it’s finally happening in the small town of Broken Falls, WV. My dreams are coming true, my happiness is so close I can reach out and touch it.

But my secrets? They won’t stay buried forever. Especially where Barrett Grant is concerned.

Barrett

I messed up big time with Gabby, the hot, older, owner of Get Baked. I had no business swiping right if I wasn’t going to take our relationship and her feelings seriously. When I reacted badly to a waitress who questioned if she was my mother, I should’ve let it go.

But I didn’t, and now I can’t. Not when I miss the f*ck out of her, and lost a year off my life the night Get Baked was broken into. This time, I promise myself, I’ll give us the shot we should’ve gotten the first time.

If only she gives me a second chance.

••••••

REVIEW:The next installment in the Broken Falls saga; Barrett continues the journey. This book is all about the small town, age gap, second chance romance that sets the pages aflame with their chemistry. As always it’s recommended to read the series in order to get the most out of the story and characters, but each book can be read as a standalone.

Gabby and Barrett are a hoot to read! Gabby is a decade older than Barrett, and living life as a newly divorced woman, Barrett is a younger guy planning his life with his buddies. How these two mesh, I don’t know, but boy oh boy do they. They have a history together and I think that and their age gap makes the most out of the plot of the story. Nonetheless, the story is quick and easy to keep up for the reader.

If you’re looking for something quick, spicy and fun, this is the book for you. Ms. Author has a wonderful talent at world building, her characters are fun and memorable, and the story is entertaining. You can’t ask for more in any book.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 15, 2024

The rules were simple. Protect the woman I love. And try to stop loving her along the way.

Kane Montgomery Carr and Phoebe Dixon’s romance went from a fiery temptation to a fizzled out heartbreak.

Only Kane has no idea why.

All he knows is that he has to keep her safe when a stalker sets Phoebe in their sights.

Yet as the two of them are forced once again into each other’s lives, the truth behind their breakup surfaces and they are forced to face the facts: the feelings and heat they buried aren’t quite as gone as they’d like.

If they give in, they’ll have to face the demons that broke them up in the first place—including a startling secret that shocks them both.

Yet if they don’t, they might lose the chance of a life time.

That is, of course, if they can survive what lurks in the shadows for them both.

••••

REVIEW: Montgomery Ink Legacy book six has arrived, and Ms. Author has knocked another one out of the park! As always, I recommend reading the series in order, but the books can be read as standalone individual books. HLC is a romantic suspense, second chance romance filled with drama, family and steamy moments to light up the pages.

When our couple meet, it’s a giggle. There’a a bathroom, a bear and somewhat car-jacking, no spoilers of course, but get ready for the giggle. Kane is our resident Montgomery, and we all know what comes with that.

When Phoebe can Kane meet again, Phoebe is in need of protection and help in finding out who is sending her disturbing messages. This mystery along with the threat to Phoebe has Kane taking the job, not to mention, he still has feelings for her.

What a fun read! A good second chance romance is always a go to read for me, reading as the couple works through their issues, mysteries are uncovered and the truth is found out. Kane and Phoebe are true, funny and sassy in their story, it’s fast paced and entertaining, keeps the reader engaged and waiting for the next chapter to come. As always for this author, her characters are well thought out and meaningful, relatable and memorable, we always know whatever we get, we will enjoy.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date July 10, 2024

When life is too much, and you can’t hack it, what do you do?
Go back home, right?
It’s just the logical thing to do.

At a young age, I learned that Kentbury is kind of magical—and great at maple syrup.
I packed my things, drove to my parent’s house and …
I found Sinclair McFolley— irresistibly brooding, and dangerously handsome.

He and his siblings took possession of my childhood home.
What the f. . . obviously it’s a mistake.
It wasn’t.

So now my plans are to either go back home or stay in Kentbury helping the McFolleys with their summer camp.
It’s all fun and games until feelings start getting in the way.
Challenges turn into opportunities.
And suddenly the summer fling I never planned on might become the romance of a lifetime.

Maybe Kentbury isn’t just a place to escape to—it’s where I was meant to find myself all along.

REVIEWClaps hands dramatically-đź‘Źđź‘Źđź‘Ź

Summer in Kentbury is here! I loved it, it was so sweet and warm, the love story was so happy. SIK is the fourth installment in the series, each book can be read as a standalone, but they do each loop into one another.

While this book read like a quick novella, the story was anything but rushed. Lavender and Sinclair are a couple that I can see myself coming back to read many, many times. And best of all? It’s a small-town, (somewhat) enemies to lover romance with all the best swoon moments.

Sinclair is a workaholic, a very typical (in the best way) alpha man, who doesn’t think love is worth much of anything. Enter Lavender, all smiles and sunshine, who believes in love at first sight. When these two get together there is nothing but sparks, chemistry and a great giggle. If you are looking for a happy, quick summer read then this book is for you!

There should be a rule against having an existential crisis before breakfast.
Is this even considered an existential crisis though?
“My ex is marrying the woman he cheated on me with, and they’re trying to use our business to fund their wedding.” I grimace as the words leave my mouth, the bitter taste of reality lingering on my tongue. It sounds like a cheesy line for a new romcom starring Jennifer Aniston, and . . . no wait, she’s more like my Aunt Mary’s age. Hmm . . . Who would star in my life if it were a movie? Zoey Deutch, maybe?
I shake my head, a wry smile tugging at the corners of my lips. I don’t think anyone would want to be me. Not when my life is like a jigsaw puzzle with some of the pieces scattered on the floor, and others missing. I’m left trying to figure out how to put it all back together.
I’m looking at my phone again. No, not just a glance, a full-on death stare. The screen lights up my face in the dimness of my too-quiet, overly-tidy apartment in New York. There, plastered across my social media feed, is Theo—my Theo, or at least he used to be until about six weeks ago when he told me he wasn’t marriage material.
Obviously, he had some kind of life-altering epiphany since now he’s engaged to her. I roll my eyes, a bitter laugh escaping my lips as I imagine him suddenly discovering the meaning of life and true love in the arms of another woman.
He’s all smiles, hugging her, Marissa, my friend and first employee. Also, the woman who apparently seems to understand him better than me. Which is exactly why it’s no surprise to me that he started fucking her way before we broke up—unfortunately for them, I found out about their affair while my security guy was upgrading the cameras in the store. There were several videos of them doing more than just the inventory.
My jaw clenches as I grip the phone tighter, my knuckles turning white. I can feel the heat rising in my cheeks, a flush of anger and humiliation spreading across my skin.
I hope Marissa understands that her new fiancé can’t keep his dick in his pants. Okay, I’m being petty, but how can I not be when the man I spent more than two years with is now getting engaged after telling me that . . . he couldn’t see himself being attached to just one person for the rest of his life?
I let out a bitter laugh as I read the caption under their cozy, engagement-photo smiles: “Excited to start our new journey as partners—in life and in LuxLumens, our bespoke lighting design venture.” Bespoke lighting designs. Of course. Because custom lamps are exactly what you need to overshadow the regularity of betrayal. I roll my eyes, feeling the sting of tears threatening to spill over.
Fucking thief.
I throw my phone down on the couch beside me. It bounces slightly, and the screen still aglow with the nauseating post. Mocking me. Every part of me wants to scream, to throw something more substantial than a harmless pillow against the wall. They didn’t just betray me—they’re angling to take my career, too.
LL is my brainchild, my designs, my . . . I grab my phone again and take a screenshot, emailing my lawyer, who’s supposedly working on my case. He swears it’s going to be okay. They can’t claim this is their business when I have proof that all Theo did for me was work weekends and a few nights to help me—and I paid him a salary.
I take a deep breath, trying to steady my racing heart as the uncertainty of my future hangs over me like one of those overly dramatic rain clouds in a cartoon.
There’s absolutely no way I’m letting Theodoric Everett Standish—Theo to those who don’t want to waste five seconds of their life pronouncing his full name—waltz off with my designs or the business I’ve built from the ground up over the last four years. I’ve already compensated him for his time, which, by the way, was more of an educational internship than a partnership. He doesn’t deserve another dime from me.
I glare at my phone, seething. This doesn’t look like him walking away peacefully. It’s more like a “screw you, Lavender Imogen Wilde, and good riddance to your so-called future.” I feel a lump in my throat threatening to evolve into a full-blown sob fest, but I force it down. Tears? No, thank you. I refuse to cry over someone who once asked me if the overhead lights in our studio were solar-powered.
Seriously, who does he think he is? I practically taught him everything he knows about bespoke lighting design. Okay, maybe not everything—nobody’s perfect—but close enough.
The phone buzzes, jolting me from my spiral of doom and gloom. I snatch it up, my heart doing that annoying skip-a-beat thing when I see Ruby’s name flashing on the caller ID. My sister has this uncanny sibling Spidey-sense. She always calls at just the right—or wrong—moment.
“Did you see it?” she blurts out before I can even manage a hello. Trust Ruby to cut right to the chase.
“Saw it, hated it,” I manage to say, my voice wobbling just a tad. I inhale sharply, trying to sound more outraged than crushed.
The audacity of this man. How can he think he can take my company right from under me?” I start pacing, my steps thumping heavily on the floor. At this rate, I’m a stomp away from getting a noise complaint courtesy of the neighbor below.
“You need to calm down while we figure out how to stop this nonsense. He won’t be able to take your business away from you without a fight,” Ruby assures me over the phone.
“I live in a city filled with anxiety. This is my livelihood. Pray tell . . . How can I relax?” I ask, my free hand gesticulating wildly in the air as if she could see my exasperation.
“Maybe you should go home to Kentbury for a bit. Take the time to reset and reevaluate the direction you want to take in your life and business. It’s peaceful, it’s summer, the lake’s warm. Even when Mom and Dad are off gallivanting in Madrid, I’m sure they’ll be okay if you go there for a few weeks—or months. You loved it there. Plus, you’d have the lake house all to yourself,” she suggests, her tone light, almost teasing. As if I could throw a party and they’d never find out.
Kentbury. The mere mention of our small hometown, tucked away in the rolling hills of Vermont with its charming lake brimming with childhood memories, tugs at a part of me that’s been lying dormant. I close my eyes, remembering the carefree summers spent at the lake house, the laughter echoing across the water as we swam and played.
