ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date February 12, 2025

Morning yoga classes. Afternoon tea. Peaceful evenings in my perfectly curated apartment. My life was calm, predictable—exactly how I like it.

Until one call shattered my carefully built world.

My sister and I were never close, but her unexpected death left me with more than just grief. It left me her daughter, a girl with wide brown eyes and enough questions to break my heart. Now, I’m thrust into a life I never planned, juggling motherhood and grief.

But if that’s not enough, I meet Keane Stone—a man with a past as broken as mine.

He’s a musician hiding from the world, scarred by a tragedy he can’t forget.

He doesn’t want my help, and I certainly don’t have time for his demons.

But life has other plans.

Somewhere between his haunted melodies and my niece’s innocent laughter, I find myself drawn to him. He’s infuriating, closed-off, and completely unexpected.

Yet, the more I push him away, the more I realize he might be the one to help me rebuild my shattered world.

But how do you heal when the pieces you’re holding don’t seem to fit?

And what happens when the past refuses to stay silent?

The Sound of Forever is a story of healing, hope, and finding family in the most unexpected places.

•••••

REVIEW:If you like a healing, small town romance with musician vibes, then The Sound of Forever is the book for you. Written as a standalone, this fast paced, emotional, found family romance is a well written book that readers are sure to enjoy.

Keane is the typical moody musician, he poured his blood sweat and tears into his music, so much so that when it ended he couldn’t cope and turned to what all musicians turn to. Drugs and liquor. This led him to spiral both in his music and his life and ultimately into a coma for five years. Not only did this accident cause him to lose five years of his life, but something so precious it stops his breath. Now in the quiet small town of Luna Harbor, he strives to rebuild the little life he has left in him, not expecting much, simply wanting to live his life as quietly as possible.

Too bad fate has other plans for him.

Juliana is your average girl, living an average life, all up until she receives a call about her sister. A sister she hasn’t seen in nearly a decade is sick, ready to pass on and is leaving her young daughter in her care. A niece that she has never met, nor even knew existed up until now. At the advice of her brother, Juliana and Rayne return to their family summer home in Luna Harbor in hopes of helping Rayne come to terms with her mothers death.

When Rayne and Juliana move into the house next to Keane, he thinks nothing of it, but when she starts hosting therapy yoga in town their paths are bound to cross more and more. The trio embarks on a journey of healing, hope and found family all while dealing with the pain of a broken heart.

Wow what a heart wrenching story. This author has such a beautiful way of showcasing heart break but also turning it into something meaningful and moving. Keane, Juilana and Rayne are all suffering for different reasons, but the three of them each need each other for different reasons to heal and that is what makes the book so good. Each takes time to open up their heart to the other, to be vulnerable and then finally to see them happy together again was just perfect.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date February 10, 2025

Take his breath away…

Braden and Skye have an electric connection that gets stronger with every boundary and every limit they push. There’s nothing Braden won’t explore with Skye…with one exception. Only now she’s the one who’s challenging him. Because what Skye wants is the one thing Braden can’t give her. And the only way he’ll be able to keep the woman he loves is to relinquish the one thing he’s mastered above everything else: control.

•••••

REVIEW:Always by Helen Hardt is Follow Me Always but told from Braden’s point of view. If you haven’t read the previous books in the series, it is HIGHLY recommended you do.

As always with this author she writes with such depth to her characters. Skye and Btaden’s story is so engaging and interesting to read, so getting to experience a little more of it from a different perspective was so perfect. Braden is a silent enigma of a man, his story with Skye throughout the books dominates the plot so much so that the reader can’t help but want more and more.

Digging into his past from his own point of view was like finding buried treasure, it’s so rare and fragile, but that just makes you want it even more. While Braden buried treasure, Skye was the one to uncover him, she pulled him out from behind a closed heart and brought him into the light. She challenged him more and more, and that was such a strong dynamic in their relationship. Now when the spicy parts hit; of course they were off the charts. Even more so when being viewed from Mr. Bossypants point of view, the man lived for Skye.

While some might consider Always to just be a retelling of the same book, I wholeheartedly disagree. Always adds depth to characters readers already know and love, and a little extra to the plot as well. Skye and Braden’s relationship survived secrets, death and major conflicts that frankly most relationships don’t and because of this readers (like myself) will always want to come back for more from this talented author.

I should have known I’d break the oath I made when I offered to let my best friend’s little sister move in with me…

She’s the sweetest woman on the face of the planet.

And to my great misfortune, the sexiest one, too.

She’s been living under her brother’s roof her entire life, and she’s ready to spread her wings.

And I’m the masochist who offers she stay at my place until she can find an apartment.

When I hear her having a nightmare, the only thing I can do is go to her. Hold her so she knows she’s safe from her demons.

The second she’s in my arms, the attraction I’ve tried to hide sparks to life. I know better than to push past the boundaries I’ve set for us, but when she begs me to touch her in a way she’s never been touched, I can’t resist.

And with my name on her lips as I send her soaring for the first time, I know there’s no going back.

I’m willing to break every rule and oath I’ve ever made to keep her.

Accept every consequence.

Only she and I have a dark, dangerous history that no one knows about.

And I’m afraid the consequences of loving her have just caught up to us…

REVIEW:After finishing book one in theMoonLit Ridge series (From Here to Eternity) I knew I was going to be hooked. Under an Endless Moon couldn’t come fast enough. A brother’s best friend romance filled with angst, secrets and spice, Under an Endless Moon is one of this author’s best pieces. As always I recommend reading the series in order, book one introduces these characters, but can be read as a standalone.

Tension in this book is crazy! We meet Raven in book one as River’s little sister, she is the owner of her own flower shop in their tiny town. Lately however, she has been struggling with wanting to spread her wings and live life to its fullest. Otto is her burly bear who has been embedded in her life for almost as long as she can remember playing the big brother. Too bad that is never how she could see him.

Otto has demons, dirty, dark demons that he doesn’t share with anyone. Raven is the one light in his light, the one thing he always wants to protect and never hurt. Even if that means he can never have her the way he wants her.

There is so so much angst in this book, like so much more than I was expecting, but it is so well done. We get more of Otto’s back story, what happened to his sister and even more of the demons that he holds. Raven is a complicated character that is determined to move on from her past but when chaos hits Otto is the first one to take her back. The character growth on River’s side as he has to learn to let his baby sister live her grown adult life was moving and adds another level of depth to their relationship. There is one specific moment for Raven that gives her the push she needs to start out on her own, and while it is funny, it leads her to staying with Otto.

Raven staying at Otto’s home pushes him to the point of no return, he has to face his feelings for her or take the risk of losing her for good. Holy Lordt, the spice when it hits is HOT. When Otto finally confesses, it is simply everything, his strong emotions, his need, his love for Raven makes all their years of pining worth it.

If you haven’t read this series before or the author please do so, both are so amazing

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 16, 2025

I never imagined that an alluring thief would turn my carefully constructed world upside down. Or that I would like it.

Nova
I’m no thief with a heart of gold. I steal from the rich and give to myself to make ends meet. One day I’ll have enough to get the hell out of New Orleans to start fresh, away from the memories of everything I’ve lost.

I should have known the first time I laid eyes on the dark-haired man in a custom suit, he was more than just another mark. But I didn’t. I should have walked away that night and never thought about him again. But I didn’t. When I discovered he has ties to the one person I hate for taking everything from me, maybe I shouldn’t have run.
But I did.

Cillian

Our enemies are six feet under, and Boston is ours. At least that’s what we thought.

A rival organization has decided to pick up where they left off, and I refuse to watch it happen again. They think our rules don’t apply to them. They’re dead wrong. Now, I’m in New Orleans to find them, and cut them off at the knees.

Everything is going according to plan. Until I stumble into a stunning pickpocket whose smart mouth and quick wit charms me from the moment she opens her red-painted lips. I should have left that night and never given her a second thought. But I didn’t. I should have put her captivating green eyes out of my mind and focused on taking down another deadly criminal organization. But I didn’t.

Then she ran, and I told myself I’d never see her again. But I did. When she crashes back into my life, I should walk away. But I can’t. They found her. They know who she is.

And now they’ll pay for ever thinking they can touch what’s mine.

REVIEW:Cillian is the fourth and last (I believe) installment in The Boston Syndicate series by Kate Randall. It is most definitely recommended to read the series in order before meeting Cillian, there are too many characters in previous books that play a big part to walk in without having read. Check the trigger warnings as well; this is a mafia style romance and we all know what that can bring.

First and foremost; the dirty talk in the book is top shelf, chefs 💋, mawa! We have met Cillian in previous books, and the little we did get, I’m not surprised at the man. Walking sexy time on two legs that is for sure. 😏

Nova is a wild child, and a thief to boot, she doesn’t let anything stop her from getting what she wants. The rich have too much, and she doesn’t so what does a little pickpocketing hurt? When one wallet changes everything and brings Cillian to her door, little does she know that her life is never going to be the same.

To say this book was wild and spicy would not do it justice! Cillian going along with the wild ride that is Nova was pure genius. They complement each other so well and the spicy bits *fans myself a little* Whew! They were fantastic! Cillian is top notch at his little kinky thing. Now don’t get it wrong, all this is true, but there are still plenty of hardcore moments that had me stopping for a moment. Mafia is mafia, and mafia is intense.

Kudos to Ms. Kate, Cillian was a great way to kick off 2025 and I really look forward to seeing what comes next.

ABOUT THE BOOK: January 13, 2025

Daring Destiny is a sweltering saga of billionaire intrigue, opposites-attract, slow-
burn, friends-to-lovers with an unexpected life-changing twist.

Before I founded my AI tech company, I spent my high school years silently pining over
Astrid Gustafsson, the unattainable ice-blonde beauty. Fast forward a decade and I’m
shocked when she asks to collaborate on a secret project. The opportunity is too enticing
to pass up.

Our newfound friendship quickly ignites into a wildfire of desire, and my passion for Astrid
intensifies, leaving me eager to risk everything for our future. The challenge is, relentless
demands of my high-stakes empire threaten to smother the flames of our burgeoning
romance.

When fate dramatically intervenes, will a life-changing twist dare us to embrace our
destiny?

•••••

REVIEW:Daring Destiny is the second book in the Charming Irish series by Kaylene Winter. Each book can be read as a standalone in the series, but as always, I recommend reading them in order to get the most out of the characters. If you are a slow burn, friends to lovers fan, this spicy read will be just right for you.

In this book we welcome back Brennan McLoughlin, the founder to a big time AL tech company and all around techie. When happenstance brings Brennan’s crush from high to his door asking for a favor for their high school reunion, who is he to say no. Afterall, this is Astrid. Astrid the prettiest and most popular girl from their school, the one who he spent all his time thinking about and crushing on during his four years of high school. She was the popular cheerleader and he was the nerdy boy, they weren’t in the same circles back then.

Now it’s different though.

I love a good underdog story, and while Brennan certainly isn’t one, he views himself as well. Years later, when these two meet again, they are different people with different lives and different experiences. Each of them have had challenges that they have had to face, problems they have had to work out, views of themselves and how the world sees them to deal with. High school was a long time ago for both of them. Brennan and Astrid start as friends and build off of that which I think is perfect for these two, while they do know each other from school, they both are so unsure about themselves that starting anything other than friends just felt off. They learn more and more about each other, and the attraction between them naturally grows, making the best kind of slow romance read.

While Daring Destiny is filled with emotional growth, giggles, and swoony nerds, it also has a nice level of spice and an ending that left me smiling.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date January 8, 2025

I can’t believe I’m calling Kentbury home. When I first arrived, I wasn’t planning on staying, but I’ve found my place here with Damian Harris. Our arrangement started off as some no-strings-attached fun, but somewhere between midnight kisses and secret touches, my heart got involved.

Now it’s almost New Year’s Eve, and I’m done being invisible. I’ve discovered how to love in Kentbury, learned who I really am—and I refuse to keep hiding behind locked doors. Damian may be tied to his powerful family name, but if he wants me by his side, he has to face the truth of who we are together.

If he won’t stand with me in the open, then I’ll have to ring in the new year on my own—because I can’t keep being his secret anymore.

••••

REVIEW:The final installment in the Kentbury series; New Year in Kentbury is a small town holiday romance that wraps up the series so well. This is a novella, so a shorter story, but nonetheless moving. It is also a MM romance, if that’s not your thing, kindly move on.

What do you get with a stressed out, dying under the pressure family heir? Damian Harris that’s what. As heir to the founding family legacy, Damian is expected to be the perfect person, take on the responsibility of the business and lead the family into the future. Frankly, he’s in over his head and doesn’t know what to do sometimes. When Paul McFolley moved to the small town from the “big city,” they became business partners and worked closely together, a spark begins to ignite, surprising both men. You see Damian has a secret, one that he isn’t ready to share with anyone, especially his family…..Yet.

Damian is such a complicated soul, and I felt for him in the small glance into his story that we received. He has spent so much of his life angry and tired, torn between what he wants and what his family expects of him. When Paul comes to town, their connection is passionate and emotional, you can tell how much they each mean to each other. However, Damian still has his demons and refuses to come out to his family, breaking poor Paul’s heart. When the anger, pain and heartbreak (and his fathers pestering) finally boil over, Damian confesses, opens his private life, his emotions, his worries, his anger. All of it. Now he is out in the open and scared out of his mind, but also hopeful. Maybe he can finally start living the life that he wants with the person he loves.

What a journey it has been in the tiny town of Kentbury. Through it all Ms.Claudia has given us everything we could have wanted and more. I’m sad to see the series end, but I will definitely be visiting again!

REVIEW:If you’re looking to finish out the 2024 year with a ugly cry book, you have come to the right place for it. The One by Marni Mann is book five in the Spade Hotel series. It is definitely recommended to read the series in order, there are many details and characters that are present that I think are important when reading the newest installment. However, the books can be read as standalone if you really want to.

It is FINALLY Rhett’s turn. So much of this series shows Rhett as the cold, heartless, villain, never willing to do anything for anyone, always looking out for himself. Well now we have the other side to that story, and what a story it is. To tell that story we have to go back fifteen years ago.

Rhett and Lainey are high school sweethearts, they are young, they are naive, and they are so, so in love. When the unthinkable happens, and tears our two love birds apart, Lainey gets lost in her grief and leaves, off to get lost in the world, severing all contact with Rhett. The pair unravel without each other, it is heartbreaking to see.

Fast forward to the present, Rhett is a grumpy, cold, complicated man who prefers his own company over any other. While Lainey is living with more and more grief everyday. This couple is the definition of living without part of your soul. Their story revolves around their separation, the heartbreak and grief that came from that, the trauma they endured and the loneliness they both have suffered. Rhett’s guilt and Laney’s grief are without a doubt some of the strongest emotions I have experienced from a book before.

When these two finally come back together for the first time in nearly two decades, the tension is palpable. Rhett has to lean into his vulnerability and really show Lainey what he is feeling, and Lainey has to let down her shields that she had spent so long holding up.

I really have to give Marni credit for her ability to write such intense and deep rooted characters, Rhett and Lainey are an amazing combination of pain, hope, forgiveness and passion.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Re-release Date December 5, 2024

August

When my pro-hockey-playing twin brother tanks at the season opener and drops off the grid—I’m left picking up the pieces. And his hockey stick.
I haven’t played since high school. These days I’m more about hedge funds and suits than pucks and bunnies. But I’m far from rusty.
Then she shows up. Harper Maxwell—smart, driven, gorgeous— here looking to even the score after my brother humiliated her on prom night. Troy never deserved her, not for the minute and a half they dated and certainly not now.
When she mistakes me for him and kisses me like she’s been waiting her whole life to do it, I don’t stop her. In fact, there’s not much I have but respect when she locks me in the men’s room and takes off with my clothes.

Harper

Grumpy, gorgeous and green eyes that stare at me like I’m the only girl in the room, my ex is nothing like the arrogant narcissist I remember. What I see is a guy whose diction is as sharp as his speed across the ice. Who’s bulging biceps, chiseled jaw and crooked smile make me forget I’m here for revenge. He’s protective and impulsive in a way that makes my skin sizzle.

It’s like I’ve got the wrong guy.
Or maybe—the wrong twin.

•••••

REVIEW: What a perfect title for this book! The Wrong Twin is a standalone, sports romance with the added kick of a misidentity.

Harper Maxwell wants one thing. Revenge. Revenge for the heartbreak, the tears and the pain that Troy caused. Troy, the guy she thought loved her, the one that she trusted, the one that she thought would never leave her.Little does she know her revenge is going to take a different turn that the one she thinks. That turn takes the form of August. Troy’s twin brother. The twin brother that might just mean more to her than her own revenge.

August and Harper are two of the most interesting main characters I have read before. Their past brings chaos, tension and jealousy to their relationship, not to mention passion and forgiveness. For such a short book, I really enjoyed the banter between the main leads as well as the fast paced plot. For a sports romance, I expected a little more sports, but otherwise, I am very happy with the book.
